omg omg I have a request, jealous!reader being “jealous” of bsf!rafe for bringing another girl over and taking her to his room, like reader was used to it but had enough because of her crush on him
yess omg this w/ jealous kook trio reader !! <3 shes a lil bitchy too hooray !
Tumblr media
you think you'd had just about enough of this.
after months and months of being rafe's friend, you thought you were used to the seemingly endless flow of girls that constantly wandered in and out of tannyhill, the druthers, even his truck.
in fact, you'd never felt any specific type of way about it. rafe was your friend, and him hooking up with every girl on this side of the island used to be a couple of things—mostly gross, a little disturbing, sort of annoying. the girls he hooked up with were always clingers, and rafe sometimes would abandon plans with his friends to get laid.
which was completely normal. you wouldn't expect anything less from a guy like him—until you started to get mad about it.
you can't pinpoint when it happened, but somewhere in between the two back-to-back dates of yours rafe crashed, that one guy at the beach party who was happily chatting you up one moment and gone by the next, and a cute boy's number that had somehow been deleted off your phone, you started to get annoyed.
yes, rafe seemed to have some kind of problem with you dating. yes, he hadn't ever said as much. no, you didn't really have any proof proving your suspicions. but something was going on that you couldn't quite pinpoint, and then, before you knew it, something was going on with you.
when had it become so unbearable to watch rafe with one of his girls? you used to turn to kelce and top and make faces, pretend to hurl watching them in the distance. you used to cuss rafe out on the phone for ditching dinner or the movies or a sunset boat ride for some girl he just met. you used to think it was funny, not... painful.
so now, watching rafe chat up some girl when the boy you had just been flirting with was nowhere to be found, you can't understand why you feel like this.
like your throat is closing up watching rafe lean in to hear her better. like you want thunder to strike this girl so she gets away from him. like everything else in the world has just disappeared, with just you, your best friend, and your best friend's new girl remaining.
"are you fucking deaf?" kelce snaps at you, and you finally turn your head away from the pair.
"shut up," you snap right back. "i wasn't paying attention. what?"
"we gotta take this fucking bum home. you coming or not?" you turn, expecting a fully drunk topper laying on a couch or passed out on the floor somewhere. instead he turns to glare at kelce.
"you're a dick, you know that? no really, kelce-"
"why are you acting like there's a stick up your asses, huh? what's going on?"
"oh, i don't know," topper says sarcastically, and kelce joins in with a snicker. "maybe because we've been talking to you for a fucking hour and you've been ignoring us the entire time."
oh. you hadn't realized you'd been so oblivious.
"if you're that worried he's gonna go home with her, then why-"
"shut up!" you say again, with the words coming out loudly, in a rush. some heads turn to look at you. your friends laugh, but you can't join in. you huff out a breath, jaw clenched and perhaps a touch more angry than you'd thought you were. "why would i care if he went home with her?"
"i don't know and i'm way too drunk for this. you coming or not?" top says, though kelce stares at you much too knowingly.
you glance back—though you really shouldn't—watching rafe and the girl laughing at something together. anger trickles over your skin, seeping into your body all too quickly, making everything burn inside you. they start walking up the staircase together. you turn back before your head blows straight off.
"no. rafe said he's driving me home. so he's fucking driving me home."
kelce and topper laugh but you can't focus on that right now. you head up the stairs, though rafe and the girl are out of sight. you even catch sight of the boy you had been talking to earlier—and he turns and sprints in the other direction when you meet him eye.
even more angry, determined that rafe should get a taste of his own medicine tonight, you run up the stairs, pounding on closed doors and opening them up. you catch two couples that you really wish you hadn't before you finally get to the room that rafe is in.
of course he's in the master. prick.
it takes two slams with your fists and one attempt to shake the doorknob so hard you think it's gonna fall off for him to open up.
"what the fuck are you-" rafe stops the second he sees you. "kid, what the hell?"
you open your mouth, shoulders tense and face twisted in anger, ready to give him an earful when you look back, seeing the girl sitting on the bed and rafe with his hair a little messed up.
you're not just angry anymore. you're infuriated.
"sorry to interrupt," you say, looking at the girl waiting in the back. "you said you'd drive me home. i'm ready to go home."
"kid i'm a little busy here-"
"yeah? i was busy too. i was talking to a nice guy but after thirty seconds with you he won't even look at me anymore."
"that doesn't sound like-"
"well it is. he was gonna take me home, but you interfered. so it's your problem now."
"can you just-" interrupting rafe again, though you know you shouldn't, you butt back in to finish his sentence before he can.
"no, i'm not waiting five minutes so you can finish up."
"excuse me?" rafe makes a face like he can't believe what you just said.
you look back at the girl.
"sorry, sorry." rafe relaxes for a second. "two minutes."
he closes the door, and you hear him say something you can't really make out. a second later, he comes out and shuts the door behind him. grabbing your wrist, he leads you out of the house and back to his truck, and it's not until you're sitting in the passenger seat that he speaks again.
"you wanna tell me what the fuck that was about?"

A NOTE REGARDING WIKIS AND LORE DOCS
I've mentioned this in Misutamojis before, but just realised there was nothing about it here so:
Please don't create public lore docs or wikis for GITM.
I totally understand that the story is already sprawling and there are a lot of characters to keep track of, but here is my reasoning behind this request:
GITM is still in its very early stages, there is so little that you concretely know about any of the characters/story that it is likely that any character bios people write will be fundamentally incorrect. Same goes for lore about the worldbuilding and the Sight. It's much easier to spread misinfo than fact, and certain stuff in fic is kept deliberately misleading/vague for fun story purposes.
GITM is not a TV show and I am not a showrunner. I am just another DCA fan on the internet who wants to chat about their OCs, I should be allowed to do that without having my every word indexed. To be clear, as I have said many many many many times in the past: people quoting what I say in discord, analysing my casual art/magmas/drabbles, or screencapping casual convos and jokes to pull them apart to dissect details from it makes me really really uncomfortable. If people started screencapping what I say to stick it on a doc for proof of XYZ thing about a character you guys haven't even met yet... I would probably stop interacting on this server point blank. Please imagine how you would feel if people were screenshotting your desktop background to read your filenames so they could theorycraft. That has happened in this server. More than once. Please stop. Your FOMO is not more important than my boundaries.
The intended reading experience for GITM is... reading GITM. Yes sometimes I share my personal headcanons and tidbits for characters, but I promise that all of this stuff will be discovered in fic. I don't want people to learn about Fool's favourite songs from a google doc. I want you to learn about it from GITM. That is why I am writing GITM: to tell you about these characters.
I would like the opportunity to make a GITM wiki myself at some point in the future.
I understand this might be frustrating, I know the lore is overwhelming as it stands. As always, if you have questions about the characters, you are welcome to ask in one of the discussion channels- I don't mind people @ ing me for that- I love talking about GITM! I am always happy to answer new FAQs at length.

Part 1
Tumblr media
The air in the room was thick with anticipation as Quinn and Jack sat side by side on the couch, their eyes fixed on the living room door, waiting for their arrival. A slow, unavoidable creak from the front door echoed through the house, signaling the arrival of Luke and y/n. Quinn glanced at his brother Jack, their eyes meeting briefly before darting back to the entrance. They exchanged nervous smiles, Quinn’s stomach doing flips and flops.
The doorknob rattled slightly before the living room door was finally swinging open, revealing Luke and y/n standing there, Luke’s hands his in pockets. Both had their eyes averted avoiding the two boys on the couch. Quinn felt a strange wave of relief wash over him as he saw that they were both there. His heart raced as they walked slowly towards the couch, neither of them speaking. The silence was deafening.
Quinn glanced over at Jack, who gave him a reassuring nod. He took a deep tremulous breath, steeling himself for what was about to come their way. He could feel the weight of their friendship, the years of memories and inside jokes, hanging in the balance between them. He can’t believe he let his middle brother let him talk him into doing this on a holiday with a tradition between him and y/n.
Y/N hesitated for a moment, her gaze flickering between the three Hughes brothers. She wanted to turn around and go right back out the front door, get back in Luke’s car, and go somewhere that wasn’t where Quinn Hughes was. Her features twisted in a mixture of sadness and anger.
Quinn knew that his best friend was hurting. He wanted nothing more than to reach out and comfort her, but he couldn't bring himself to do that. Not yet at least, not when he was pretty sure his idiotic ways of following Jack’s lead is why she was feeling this way. All he could do was ask her to talk.
Luke took a step forward, his hand gently brushing against her shoulder. She subconsciously leaned towards his touch. "Hey, you don't have to talk to him if you don't want to," he murmured, his voice low and soothing. "It's okay if you're not ready to tackle it tonight." She bit her lip, her eyes darting back and forth between Luke and Quinn. She could see the worry in Luke's face, the fear that he'd somehow messed everything up between them already, just by walking into the house. And she could see the guilt in Quinn's eyes, the knowledge that he actually had done just that.
Quinn cleared his throat, feeling an unprecedented twinge of jealousy. It has always been him who was her rock and source of comfort in situations like this. An awkward tension spread as he glanced between his two brothers. "Y/n/n, I'm really sorry about what happened, with our usual plans..." He trailed off, not quite sure how to explain his position in Jack’s meddling. "I just thought..." He pulled his hands through his already disgruntled hair and let out a sigh of frustration. "I just thought it would be a good idea for you two to talk, I guess."Motioning between Luke and her.
Y/n bit her lip, her gaze flickering from Quinn to Luke and back again. "Quinn," she began, her voice barely above a whisper. "Can we talk about this in private, please?" The word private held a tone of different of all the others. A tone of seriousness that alerted the other two boys in the room just how far he and Jack had gone. Quinn stood up from the couch slowly. He followed her down the hall towards the bedrooms, expecting to stop at his own but instead she entered Luke’s. “We’ll talk in here. I don’t want to be surrounded by a childhood that may or may not have been fake.” Her words hit hard to Quinn. He didn’t expect to be accused of being a fake friend just for missing out on one night. A night that was to help her.
Quinn closed the door behind them, taking a seat on Luke's bed. She paced across the room, her hands twisting together anxiously. She didn't know where to begin, how to explain the depth of her pain. "You know I've always had your back, Quinn," she said, her voice shaking with emotion. "I've always been there for you, through thick and thin. And you know I would do anything for you. I have never left you high and dry. Ever. When we were 16 and your team made it to some huge championship all the way in Florida I missed my drivers license test to go and had to wait 3 more months for a retake date. I didn’t care because I was supporting my best friend. When you were drafted I missed a huge job interview because all we ever talked about growing up was that moment. Was you making it to the league. There was no way I was missing it. We made these traditions between us so we always had these moments together and then you just...you just abandon me on the night of one of them." She had started pulling at the ends of her hair a sign she was on the verge of an anxiety breakdown. “You left me behind as if I wasn’t important anymore or like you didn’t want to keep special dates to insure we had time. It was painful.”
Quinn's heart ached as he listened to her words, feeling the weight of his actions pressing down on him. "I'm sorry, y/n/n. I didn't realize..." he began, unable to finish the sentence. He knew she was upset, but he didn't realize how badly until now. He never meant to make her feel like she wasn't important to him. Next to his mom, she was the most important female in his life. "I didn't mean for it to seem like I didn't want to spend time with you." He watched her pace the floor and pull on her hair. “Hey…hey, stop that.” Quinn insisted pulling her hands down gently. “It’s okay. Take a few deep breaths. I’ll finish telling you everything and tell you why I went with Jack if you can ease your way out of this world your head has gone to.”
For the first time since she came into the house Quinn felt himself relax slightly when she let him guide her away from her anxiety breakdown she was edging to. Quinn let out breath he had been holding .
She took a few deep breaths, calming herself down. "Okay," she said, her voice still shaky. "I'm sorry for that. I just...I just don't understand why you would ditch me so suddenly, and without an explanation? It isn’t like you. We don’t get to see each other that often as it is and then you do this. It was like a slap in the face." She sat down on the bed beside him, her eyes searching his face for signs of the explanation.
Quinn nodded, understanding her hurt. "I know it sounds crazy, but Jack had come with this plan. He's been trying to convince Luke to make a move on you for months now. He thought that if we went out together and left you two alone, Luke would feel more inclined to just go for it." He looked down at his hands, feeling guilty for manipulating the entire situation. "I know it was wrong of us to do that, but I wanted you two to be happy. I didn't want Luke to keep pining after you and never say anything." Y/N stared at her best friend in disbelief. Did she hear him correctly? “Not being here to witness any of the last few months to a year of how the two of you interact with each other I was very torn about whether I should of followed through with Jack’s plan.” He laughed a genuine tiny laugh. “But then i remembered how you only talked about Luke the last time you visited me in Vancouver. Every other story was ‘Luke this or Luke that’ and I knew then you were smitten with my baby brother. Plus the last time we played in Detroit you road with Luke to the game, why you couldn’t ride with mom and dad I couldn’t figure out. Jack listed all these other scenarios that made it impossible for me not to go along with his plan or I suppose scheme since it caused a problem. It is whatever you want to call it. Because regardless of the fact it was intended for Luke to buck up and make a move, I was hoping you would come out of it happy. Happier than if you had spent the night with me.”
She was silent for a moment, taking in everything he had said. She didn't know what to feel. Part of her was angry that he had gone along with Jack's scheme, but another part of her understood why both brothers did what they did. "I guess I never really thought about it that way," she said finally. "I just felt like you abandoned me." She looked at him, searching his eyes for any sign that he was potentially lying about the entire situation, however the whole story was too spot on. "And I don't know if I should be happy that you and Jack noticed Luke might have feelings for me or scared that Jack wants to push us together." Quinn scoffs and shakes his head with a slight smile. “Jack doesn’t have to do any pushing now. We could read it all over his face the second he opened the door to the living room. We know that something happened between the two of you tonight. We just don’t know what.” Quinn turns his head slightly to look at her, raising an eyebrow as if to ask the question ‘what happened’.
Y/n sighs and flops back against the bed. "Well, it's not like I've been trying to hide my attraction or feelings either as you pointed out, but it only got more obvious. But I guess Luke didn’t notice or catch on. I’m not sure. What can I say brother grew up to be the most attractive and the best kisser out of you all. Well again, only have kissed you and him and no plans to kiss the other. I’ve seen the best of Luke and the worst of him growing up around you all. Plus I’m younger than you as it is so it’s not a crazy weird age gap…We do hang out sometimes alone already. And well tonight we were at the usual New Year’s Eve party...and he sat with me outside in the freezing cold, with absolutely no complaints for I don’t know how long. I noticed that he only had his coat and beanie on after a while, so I offered up the blanket. We were wrapped up close under the blanket he brought out to me, and then he kissed me a few minutes after midnight.." She pauses, remembering the kiss, well kisses, the way Luke had looked at her as if he had waited for that moment his entire life, the way it had felt. "I don't know what it means or where it's going, other than we both agreed to start a new tradition of he and I on new years since you missed out, but I've been thinking about it ever since." She hadn’t noticed the smile across her face when she mentioned a tradition starting with Luke.
“Why not ask him about it? I’m sure both my dweeb brothers have their ears stuck to the door right now” Quinn rolled his eyes getting up off the bed. Y/n’s face turning a deep maroon as she blushed so hard.
"Well? Do you not want to know what he has to say for himself?" Quinn asked, leaning against the door frame casually, his arms crossed over his chest. His younger brothers flailing over the other as their balance was lost with the suddenly opening of the door.
Y/n sighed, rolling her eyes as she sat up on the bed. "Fine," she huffed, glancing at Quinn before turning her attention to the brothers standing in front of her. "Luke.” She playfully tsks. “What do you have to say for yourself?" she challenged, her tone teasing. l
Both older brothers shoved each other out of the way, stepping out of the room and closing the door behind them. Luke cleared his throat, taking a deep breath before looking at her. "I'm not sure if I completely understand what was going on in either of my brothers’ brains when they planned tonight out, but I want to be honest with you," he began. "After tonight, I won’t be able to stop thinking about it, and...well, I just want to see where things could go between us. I know it's crazy considering my oldest brother is your longest friend but..."
Y/N smiled, her cheeks still flushed. "It's not that crazy, Luke. I mean, we've known each other for years, we've seen each other at our best and worst, and...I want to see where things could go too. It's not like I didn't notice how attractive you are," she teased, reaching up to mess with the collar of his sweatshirt.
Luke chuckled, feeling a wave of heat spread through his chest. "Well, you've always been beautiful, yourself. And I mean that sincerely. Not just because we're in this...moment." He paused, taking a deep shaky breath. Suddenly aware he was alone with her in his bedroom.
She smiled up at him, feeling the warmth in her cheeks. "So, what do we do now?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Luke leaned down, his eyes locked on hers, and kissed her gently. The touch of his lips sent a shiver down her spine. He pulled back slightly, his breath mixing with hers. "We could...explore this. Us," he suggested, reaching out to take her hand. "If you want." He whispered. “Or you can go out there and thank Quinn for being an ass like you wanted to.”
She grinned, feeling her heart race. She knew exactly what she wanted to do, and it had nothing to do with her best friend. "Let's explore," she breathed, allowing him to pull her closer and into a kiss. His touch sent waves of desire coursing through her veins. She could feel the heat between them, and she wanted more.
Luke's left hand slid down her back, over the curves of her waist, and up under her sweater. He gently caressed her bare skin, making her shiver with pleasure. His other hand cupped her cheek, holding her close as he slowly deepened their kiss.
Her body responded to his touch subconsciously, her hips pressing against his. She moaned into the kiss, her fingers tangling in his hair as she arched her back, wanting him closer. She could feel the heat between them, and she knew she was losing control. Restraining herself she withdrew from the kiss. “I.. I think that’s far enough.” She huffed trying to catch her breath. Luke nodded, pressing a kiss to her head before backing her up to his bed. “Let’s cuddle and call it a night like you wanted pretty girl.” Luke whispered to her as if anyone else would hear him.
Luke searched through his clothing drawers and handed her some clothes to swear for bed. Giving her privacy to change before laying down in the bed.
Y/N smiled as she joined him and nestled into his chest. She wrapped her arms around his waist, feeling the warmth of his skin through the thin fabric of his shirt. Luke caressed her hair, playing with the ends while he kissed her forehead. The soft rustle of the sheets and the gentle rhythm of their breathing filled the room as they laid there, lost in the moment. She closed her eyes, enjoying the feeling of being close to him, mentally thanking Quinn and Jack for their scheming support. Who would have ever thought that the two of them being pesky brothers would have given her the boy of her dreams.
She just has one last question for Quinn. If he knew she had feelings for his younger brother, why did he bet that she didn’t like him at all? Was it to fuel his competitive spirit and make him want to try for her? She would have to ask him the first chance she got, but she would have to pry herself out of the arms of Luke first. She’s already decided though that his arms are her new home. In other words, the answer may remain a mystery forever.

AITA for sabotaging my friend's relationship because their boyfriend sucks?
(🧎‍➡️💔💔💔💔💔🧎)
I'm feeling pretty conflicted, and I need some honesty. My close friend, Alex, has been dating Sam for a while now. Initially, I tolerated Sam, but over time, I grew to despise them. They're arrogant, selfish, and frankly, I can't stand being around them.
Here's why Sam is a piece of shit imo:
-Sam has this annoying habit of always making everything about them. They'll hijack conversations, turning them into monologues about their own achievements and experiences.
-Sam lacks empathy and often says hurtful things without considering the impact on others. They once made a cruel joke about Alex's insecurities in front of a group of friends, causing them immense embarrassment.
-Sam has a knack for twisting situations to their advantage. They've been known to guilt-trip Alex into doing things they're not comfortable with and use emotional manipulation to get their way.
-Sam is terrible with money management. They've racked up significant debt through frivolous spending and have even borrowed money from Alex without any intention of paying it back.
-Sam has a complete disregard for personal boundaries. They've invaded Alex's privacy multiple times, snooping through their phone and personal belongings without permission.
With all these traits combined, Sam embodies everything I find repulsive in a person. So, when Alex announced their engagement, I was livid. How could they choose to spend their life with someone like Sam? They are so much better than this shit ball! And I fully believe Alex's life would be in shambles in a few years. I couldn't let this happen, I was manic about it. But instead of being mature, I stooped to a new low.
I started spreading nasty rumors about Sam, exaggerating their flaws and fabricating stories about their past. I claimed that Sam had cheated on Alex multiple times, even going as far as to create fake screenshots of text messages as "proof." Additionally, I alleged that Sam had a history of drug abuse and had been fired from previous jobs for stealing. I sent all of this to Alex, and to our mutual friends and acquaintances on anonymous Instagram and Facebook accounts.
When Alex confronted me about the rumors, I denied any involvement, acting shocked and outraged that someone would say such things about Sam. I played the role of the concerned friend, expressing disbelief and offering support to Alex during this difficult time. The charade worked.
Now, Alex and Sam's relationship is hanging by a thread, and it's all because of me. Part of me feels guilty, but another part of me can't help but feel satisfied that I managed to end it before things got bad. I don't trust Sam within an inch of my life, and I couldn't tolerate seeing Alex ruin his life by marrying such a piece of shit. So, am I an asshole?

Painted Smile
Painted Smile XXVI
<- Previous Chapter I
Summary: You couldn't wait to meet new friends. What you didn't expect was this smiling little boy, only one year older than you, that would take such a big place in your life.
Notes: I feel like I've been gone forever.... But well, writing Alastor's point of view are always the hardest. Once again, a little trip inside our favorite psychopath's mind. It's almost 16K long, enjoy it. Surprisingly, I don't think there is any warming...?
“ Don’t ever leave me.”
He whispered to your sleeping form, moving your locks from your face. It was still nighttime, maybe 3 am, it was normal for him to be awake at this time of the night. He was used to it and in a way he enjoyed being awake when you were sleeping. It was once more, a proof of how vulnerable you could be with him. How you trusted him.
He stared at you until it was time for him to get up and prepare breakfast. He kissed your forehead before sitting on the edge of the bed, inhaling with a wicked smile. Killing, going to work, having you by his side… What a life.
“ No, don’t go yet…”
His smile turned soft when he felt you hug him from behind, kissing his cheek. You were adorable, did you know that?
He was becoming more and more popular in town. He was narrating stories, making small talks and then he talked about the incident in the hotel, the fire. He couldn’t contain his smile when he talked about the people who got killed in the fire. Larry and his butler, the one two victims.
The couple who was sleeping in the next room have been arrested, thanks to you putting Larry’s eye on their room. The police, mostly John, were very invested in this case. They said they found bloodied clothes in the closet, Larry’s eye and so on. He couldn’t help but laugh when he heard the news about the couple's arrest.  Everything was going smoothly, no one was suspecting you or him.
He even got to have dinner with Alyzée’s father, the mayor. He talked with him about John, saying you saw him trespassing on his property without a warrant, furthermore,  the bear trap he left. The mayor seemed very confused but he was drinking his words like water. It was so easy… He asked the mayor to stop his father’s disappearance’s case. He wanted to marry you as soon as possible. They could go back to the case after.
The mayor accepted easily, saying he was going to take John off the case because he didn’t follow the law but because of his family’s name, he couldn’t fire him from the police. Alastor didn’t mind, he just wanted John off the case and to marry you. You still weren’t aware of it, he wanted to surprise you.
“ I need to leave earlier, today.” He kissed your nose but he let you tug him back into bed. He stroked your naked back, loving the feeling of your skin against his hands. He chuckled when he heard you saying you couldn’t wait to be married to him. Oh, only if you knew…
He kissed you once more,  tickling you. Your voice was so smoothing he couldn’t help but wanting to hear more of it. But it wasn’t the right place.
He knew your father wouldn’t like to see him in your bedroom, you were supposed to be a virgin until the wedding. He almost scoffed each time your father said you both needed to wait until the wedding until you could sleep together. You have been together since childhood, your bond was more than just some sexual intercourse. He enjoyed your body, naked like today, because it was so pretty. Your hips would move sensually, the bones showing against the skin… You were beautiful. You were a piece of art. Sometimes, if you were feeling in the mood, you would play with him, building up tension but you never went further than that in your bedroom. Usually, he would just admire you while you were reading or sleeping on your bed.
You asked him if you could take a shower with him which he accepted. He was looking at you as you played with his hair, he didn’t know why you enjoyed his curls so much but if you were smiling, it was all that mattered. You were blushing, were you really finding him attractive?
He knew he was good looking, men or women would try to hit up on him, but they only saw his mask. You, you were seeing him as he was and yet, you find him pretty, attractive. How crazy of you.
“ Don’t we look amazing?” you laughed.
“ Always.” he kissed your forehead with a soft smile.
He cleaned your body, being gentle with your skin. When you asked him if you could do the same, he stayed silent for a minute. You were looking at him with those shining eyes, with so much trust… He nodded.
You cleaned him, being so mindful of your touch. You sometimes kissed his scars, making him smile. You were so cute.
You both left the bathtub, and he let you do your hair. He closed one eye as you let one curl on his forehead, smiling brightly. He used to slicked his hair back when he was working but if you wanted this hairstyle on him, who was he to say no?
He smirked when you looked for his watch and used your powers to throw it at him. His shadow took it, making you pout and of course it went toward you, poking you until you gave it attention.
“ I shall come back tonight with a surprise. Be nice.” He kissed the top of your head before leaving to work.
He entered into his workplace, Victor sprinting toward him with a big smile, telling him about the new records his podcast did last time. He smirked, of course, he was Alastor Sanglar,  he was the best. He went into his office, closed his door and began his usual podcast. He played jazz and blues, talking about what was going on in New Orleans.
But then, he heard loud footsteps coming toward his door. He squinted his eyes, looking toward the noise, still talking into his microphone. He smirked when John bashed his door open. Just as planned.
“ Alastor, you bastard!” shouted John as he walked toward him, Victor behind him, trying to stop him from coming closer to him. He held his hand in front of him, telling Victor to back off with his hand.
“ Well, ladies and gentlemen, please, welcome John Felleur, an officer from the police of New Orleans. Let the lad take place.”  He said, amused. John’s face was red from anger, he already knew why the man had come to him: the mayor should have told him the big news! “ Well, what can I do for you, officier?”
“ I have been taken away from the case because of you! You knew I would find dirt on you.” Alastor almost laughed out loud, what a poor fool… He pushed a button which made an “ Oouh” sounds, like a crowd was here, watching the spectacle. He was going to have so much fun, John was already digging his own grave.
“ Oh yes. You must have heard it, folks, but my father has gone missing. The one on the case was no one but the successful John Felleur. The man has been on my back since then, slavery is abolished you know?” He chuckled, leaning back against his chair.
“ Because I know you have something to do with it. Just like last week’s fire, I’m sure I saw you there. You, fucker, have been manipulating everyone around you and now you wished to get married? You even took her away while I could be–”
Ah, he shouldn't talk about you.
“ Ooh.. Is John insecure, pursuing allure? Fitting between my father’s case and the hotel’s one, is nothing working?”
“ You–!”
“ Every day, he’s got a new failure!”
“ You’re looking at justice! He is the one behind all of it!”
“ Is John as strong as he purports? Or is it based on his support? He’d be powerless without his family’s name. And here’s the sugar on the cream. He asked my fiancée to be his wife.”
“ Hold on!”
“ She said no, and now he’s pissy, that’s the tea!” Alastor’s laughter echoed into the room. How fun it was!
“ Alastor !” you heard John shout. “ I’m not weak. You can’t kill me!”
“ I’ll make you wish I would, my dear friend.” Alastor laughed.
“ I don’t bend to no one.” he spat.
“ Be careful, what doesn’t bend usually breaks.” Alastor hummed. “ Well, folks. I shall leave you, as you can see, I’ll need to have a little chat with our rude friend.  It will be fun.” he chuckled before standing up, letting Victor handle his broadcast.
He left his office, and stood before John, with two policemen by his side. Was John trying to intimidate him? He almost scoffed. He let the men speak in front of him, crossing his arms against his torso. He listened to John, who was warning him to stop getting closer to the mayor or other high positioned people.
He turned his eyes to his side, he felt like something warm was touching his hand. He looked at his hand and then looked back at the men speaking to him. He asked the men to leave before going back to his office. He sat on his chair and sighed.
“ Those fuckers…” He passed his hands on his face before looking back at his note. Now, he needed to make some changes. He wrote in his notebook before jerking up when his paper sheet went into the air. He looked around him, his eyes becoming red. He could see some kind of form in front of him…
He watched as your name appeared as the paper folded itself. He blinked. For a second, he felt his heart stop. You couldn’t be dead right?  You wouldn’t do this to him. You were to be alive next to him even after death. You couldn’t be dead. You couldn’t. You couldn’t. You couldn’t.
“ Darling?”
He could see the paper folded itself with a yes. His body relaxed, he couldn’t feel a bad energy as the paper moved around happily. You weren’t dead. You just..project your spirit away from your body. How amazing…
“ This is really impressive.” He smirked, looking at the direction he knew you would be. You always were moving around when you were in an excited mood, always bouncing around him, it was cute.
He felt a warm sensation against his cheek and looked at his side.“ Your hand is next to my face right? Your energy has always been warm…” he sighed with a soft smile. “ Why are you here, dearest? Have you heard our dear John coming to my show? What a performance, right?” he laughed , imaginating you grinning next to you.
He watched as the paper flew enthusiastically around him. He crossed his arms on his torso with a smirk on his face. He knew you were at Alice, she must have told you his surprise. He already knew the mayor talked to Alyzée, who gossiped with Alice who couldn’t keep her mouth shut. She couldn’t keep a secret, huh? Was it karma because he used her secret against her ? Was that karma because he took a picture of Alyzée and Alice kissing and sended to Larry?
…. Maybe he didn’t care.
“ Darling, you should go back. As soon as I’m finished, I’ll come to you so we can talk about the wedding ceremony…” he took the paper from your invisible hand with a soft smile. He felt a warmth sensation on his lips before it was tugged away from him.
He went back on his chair, chuckling before laughing out loud.
You were amazing, a strength that needed to be veneered. You were his, his wife, his, his, his hishishishishis.
He stopped laughing, his smile dropping. He should write notes for his next broadcast, he would have to go to your house so he could tell the good news to your father and mother about your wedding.
He started writing, but jerked up his head when he heard commotion outside of his office. He stood up and opened his door and smiled when he saw the mayor walking toward him with a huge smile of his face.
“ Alastor! I have big news for you, young man!”
He tried so hard to contain his satisfied smile when the mayor told him he could marry you in two weeks. In two weeks, you will be his in front of your friends and your family. In human terms, you were about to be bound together forever.
He shook the mayor’s hand after having a little chat and then took his stuff before going toward your parent’s home. Oh, so many good news was to be shared today. He smirked as his shadow moved around his feet, as happy as he felt.
He almost bought flowers on his way, but was too eager to share the big news with you. He knocked on your parent’s home’s door and smiled at your father when he let him enter. He shook his hand as he heard you walk down the stairs. He could recognize your footsteps in the middle of a dance party.
He smiled when you hugged him, nuzzling against his chest. He knew your father didn’t like when you both were too close, but he couldn’t refuse a hug from his soon-to-be wife, right?
“ Well, I came here to give you some happy news. I talked with the mayor, he is ready to hold our wedding in two weeks.”
He smirked when he saw his mother hug you but his attention quickly turned to your father. He seemed confused, after all, your wedding was supposed to be held after his father’s disappearance’s case was solved. Which would never be.
After half-lying to your father, he flinched when your dad slapped his shoulder. Well, manipulating someone was getting easier and easier, it was almost boring. But, oh, well you were there, happy, smiling at him, seeming as eager as him to finally prove your affection for each other.
He bantered with Alice and finally she went home. You were always saying Alice and him liked each other but he couldn’t care less about Alice. She was just a tool, he didn’t feel anything else, she was like a pen he needed to write a letter. He would be annoyed if the pen broke, but he could just take another.
“ Where should our honeymoon be?” you turned toward Alastor.
“ Mhn… Somewhere near the ocean maybe? I’ve never been there.” he smiled at you. He knew you didn’t know how to swim, and he needed to take care of that. It was dangerous for you to have such weakness.
“ If you are afraid of drowning, do not be afraid my dear, I’ll be by your side.” He kissed the back of your hand. You smiled softly at him.
“ I did want to go somewhere warm.”
He looked at you, warmer than here? He looked at you, imagining you in your wedding dress, staring at him and only him.
“ Who should we invite ?”
“ Well, Alice will be the maid of honor,” you smiled as he rolled his eyes. He was amused, it was cute how you were friends with Alice. ” My family will come, so I shall invite Alyzée and some other friends but not too many.”
“ Mhn.. I guess I need to bring some people too. Well, I guess Mimzy could come, maybe Victor, if he isn’t too noisy about it.” He thought out loud. “ I don’t have any family left but my mother, which is enough.”
“ On our honeymoon, I think I will be able to do the spell.” he looked at you with a fond smile. He read everything he could find on this spell; he talked with Kalfu, everything was going to be perfect. “ I can’t wait.”
You grasped his face and kissed him fiercely. You took a step back before he could kiss back, jumping on the grass with a big grin.
He couldn’t contain his smile. That was what he wanted. You were smiling thanks to him. Being happy to be caged with him forever and ever. He looked as you laid down on the grass, you were so beautiful… You always seemed so out of reach and yet, here you were, giving yourself to him without being afraid of what he was.
“ What do we need for.. the ritual?”
“ Well, we need another powerful spirit.” He sat next to you, taking away the leaves from your hair. “ I will try to invoke him this weekend.”
“ Can I be there?” You looked at him.
“ Well, I can’t say no to you.” He kissed your forehead with a smirk. “ We’ll need enough offerings…”
“ Now that you mention it, I need to give him an offering..”
“ Yes, what happened back then?”
“ My soul left my body,” you said proudly, “ so I could come see you.”
“ It was really impressive,” he said, looking at you with pride. He was really impressed, he didn’t even know such things were possible. You would always surprise him, how fun. You chuckled as you explained to Alastor how you managed to do that and that his shadow was being able to see you when you were in that state. “ I see… Don’t do it somewhere when you aren’t safe. I don’t know what could happen if you were to be forced out of your trance.”
You nodded, placing your head against his shoulder. Soon, you would be wed, chained to hil without any ways of escaping.
—----
He was confident.
He was handling everything well, the preparation for the wedding, for the honeymoon and with the rituals. Everything needed to be perfect, it was something that needed to be perfect. What was irritating was that he couldn't see you as often as he wished he would. He would always try to come at night, like a shadow, never being seen.
Alastor placed a cup of black coffee on a table with a cigar and wrote symbols with chalk on the walls. He was excited to meet this spirit, the spirit who rules over death: Baron Samedi. This spirit was invoked to contact and communicate with the dead, he determines whether they could come visit or not. He may be asked to remove bothersome ghosts and invoked to ward off death. He is a powerful healer. Baron Samedi rules the cemetery: no one can die until he gives permission for their grave to be dug.
He looked at you, you seemed to be nervous but he reassured you easily. You didn't have to be here if you didn't want to. He would get the work done. Furthermore, he wasn’t really enjoying the fact that you were in a situation where he didn’t have full control. But when did a situation escape him? He would control anyone to achieve his goals. Spirits, Gods, Humans or Demons.
He kissed you deeply before walking in front of the table and began his incantation. He closed his eyes, feeling coldness seeping into his bones, into his blood faster than usual. He held his head as a freezing pain smashed into his head.
What was going on?
“ Alastor…”
“ Are you okay, dearest?” He grabbed your hand when he saw you stumbling toward him. Did he mess up his incantation?
“ Aren’t you adorable?”
He turned his head toward the voice and squinted his eyes. There was a man smoking the cigar he had put on the table, a moment ago, staring at you with an amused smile. The gentleman looked like an older, dark-skinned man in formal attire, dressed completely in black. He was wearing a black top hat, black suit and impenetrable black sunglasses which were missing a lens. He had read that the missing lens was showing the eyes that could see  in the underworld.
“ You asked for me?” he smirked before sitting on a chair, taking the cup of coffee. “ Well, I already know why. It’s not everyday I see Papa Legba and Kalfu in the same room. How are you doing, my good fellows?”
He turned his head toward a presence he wasn’t used to feeling. And for the first time, he saw him. The spirit he first tried to approach, the spirit which worked his mother to protect him.
Papa Legba.
He looked like a tall old black man, with a strangely warm expression. He was smoking a long pipe while staring at you, his back against the door. He looked oddly human if not for the wisdom in his eyes that seemed so deep, an entire life wouldn’t be enough to hear all about his knowledge.
“ Must be nice to finally meet me, right,  little missy?”
You turned your eyes toward the voice and yelped when you saw a man crouching next to you, his red eyes staring at you with a mocking smile. He almost rolled his eyes as Kalfu enjoyed your scared expression.
“ Well, it’s nice to finally meet all of you, gentlemen.” Alastor spoke with his usual confidence. Those three spirits weren’t as impressive as he thought. “ I didn’t expect to have all of you with us today, but it might be for the best.” He beamed at the spirits as he took a chair to sit down.
“ You truly have beautiful eyes.” you turned around as you felt your hair being touched. You looked at The Baron Samedi who was looking at you, still seeming amused. Alastor could feel his blood boiling. How dared he touch you?  You took a step back before being tugged on Alastor’s laps. You looked down and smiled softly at his shadow which was frowning, keeping its hand around your waist.
“ You really didn’t change, Alastor !” Baron Samedi laughed before sitting on the table, smoking his cigar. “ I used to heal you when you were unconscious after your father was done punishing you, your Mother was always asking for my help, what a caring woman.”
He tensed as he remembered his father’s assault. He always wondered how he never died under his father’s fists, how his body always was he aling quickly and easily.  You stroked his hand while staring at the three spirits in front of you. “ Well, it’s not for being healed that I called you.”
“ ‘I’ ? Boy, you didn't call me all alone. Your darling is also in it.”
“ Nonsense. She didn’t prepare anything to summon you.” Said Alastor, his smile twitching. He was sure of it. Not a single drop of your blood or any other things coming from you was used to summon them. You weren’t bound with this summoning. He made sure of it.
“ Why? Am I connected to Alastor in some way?”
“ Well, little lady, of course. If not, why would you be able to see me, summon me or even work with spirits?” Papa Legba asked you with his calming voice.
“ Alastor already created some kind of bond between the two of you, but you already saw it, right little missy?” Kalfu smirked at you, making Alastor grimaced. Seemed like Kalfu enjoyed scaring you.
“ What are you talking about?” You asked, squeezing Alastor’s hand.
“ When you asked for your soul to leave your body to see Alastor. Didn’t you see a red thread linking you to him?”
Alastor looked at you, stroking your thigh in a soothing manner. He was curious, did you really see something like that?
“ But… It was so.. weak?”
“ Of course!” Laughed Baron Samedi. “ Alastor bound you the first time he tried to summon our dear Papa Legba, he had a tissue with your blood on it. Blood is really important here. That’s why when Alastor summoned Legba, he went toward you because the first thing he felt was your blood.”
“ And then, I came in, because I wanted to work with Alastor. This boy has a lot of potential.” Kalfu smirked. “ It’s in his blood.”
Alastor was conflicted. The air he felt when he first tried to summon Papa Legba was the spirit itself…? He had managed to summon two powerful spirits in less than one hour. They were saying he had potential. Well, he wasn’t surprised, but he wanted more. But for now, he needed to understand before acting.
“ Then, how did the bound apparead when I didn’t do anything to make it happen?” Asked Alastor, looking at the spirits.
“ Well, like Kalfu told you, you have huge potential. You could have created the bond, you already had summoned me and him. You made the first step but stopped when you made a deal with Kalfu for power. That is why, right now, your bond is half-made.” Legba said, inhaling smoke from his pipe. “ But now, your other half is working with me, which makes you, in a twisted way, work with me.”
“ But you told me you would cut our deal if I were to work with..Kalfu?” you asked. “ Alastor is working with him, and yet..?”
“ Of course, little lady. Even if your control on your spirit is impressive, it’s not in your blood. You can do all that because Alastor ‘tainted’ it. If he were at his most powerful, and your bond were created, you would have maybe half of his abilities. Your body wouldn’t be able to take more.” He said to you with a sad smile. “ You would lose yourself to the spirits and end up mad.”
“ Or dead with me!” said Baron Samedi with a laugh which echoed in the basement. “ I’m joking, Alastor.” he smirked when he saw Alastor’s hand clenching on your waist. He didn’t like any of those outcomes, if he had to stop you from using spirits, he would stop you, no matter how.
“When you will be powerful enough, trust me, Legba’s protégée won’t be able to do anything against you. You could just use the shadow to bring her to you.” Kalfu smirked, staring at Legba with a competitive glint in his eyes.
Now… that was interesting. Frist of all, Kalfu was referring to you as Legba’s protégée. It was a heavy title he didn’t necessarily want you to hold.  Being the protégée of a spirit, even more for the powerful one, was honorable. Kalfu had chosen Alastor as his protégé, that was what the spirit told him.  It meant some kind of protection…
Second of all, he was going to be so powerful he was going to be able to bend you at his will.  He smirked when he saw your face, you seemed to enjoy the thought of being at his mercy.  You were just like him…
But you surprised him once more, asking Baron Samedi for his healing power. You were insane, wanting to protect him at all cost. You were insane, mad, crazy, just like him. It was oddly comforting.
“ So, you would want to work with me, for my healing capacity? You know, it’s different from working with Legba? You are asking a skill of mine. Papa Legba just gives access to a spirit to work with you, the spirit chooses when to go back, if Legba allows it,  unless you ask him to leave. You’re asking for a power that belongs to no small spirits, the price will hurt.”
“ Then, she doesn’t need it.” said Alastor, forcing you to look at him. “ I won’t need this power, who could hurt me?” He asked you with his usual charming and confident smile. A healing power could be very useful, indeed, but if it meant you would get hurt, he didn’t need this power. His priority was you. You, you, you, you.
But, you managed to hold this power, making a deal with Baron Samedi. You would be able to heal him and yourself, what a power… You were beautiful, your red eyes having a purples hues. You fell asleep quickly after that, letting him and the spirits talk about the real deal they were supposed to make.
He would have to take Eamon to create a material bound, the spirits would then possess the both of you before doing their things. He almost winced when Kalfu said that it was going to hurt you. He didn’t care if it would hurt him, he could take it. You… You, he didn’t want you to feel anything pain that wasn’t created by him.
After some time, he knew all he needed to know about this ritual. Once the spirits vanished, he walked toward you and smiled fondly when he saw your sleeping expression. How could you be so vulnerable? Since you’ve been children you have always been vulnerable with him even if you were now just like him. A  cold blooded killer.
“ Darling, open your eyes.”
“ Did I fall asleep?”
“ I’m afraid you did, dearest.” He kissed your forehead with a soft gaze. “ We should sleep.”
You looked at his face, he knew you could see the fatigue on his face. You nodded and stood up, walking out of the basement, walking toward his bedroom. You took Eamon in your arms, signing in bliss. After all those years,  this plushie was here.
“ Undress, dear.”
You whined but undressed quickly, throwing your dress on his chair with the rest of your clothes. You bury yourself under the cover, trying to stay awake. He undressed himself, putting his pajama on before sliding behind you, wrapping his arms around you.
“ Is everything ready for the ritual..?” you asked, yawning.
“ Yes, you don’t have to do anything.” He kissed your naked shoulder. “ You just have to think about the wedding.”
—--------
“ Oh my baby, you look so handsome.”
Alastor turned his gaze toward his mother with a soft smile. Marie was already having tears in her eyes just because she was seeing him in his suit.
Today was the day he was to be wed to you.
He let his mother kiss his forehead, bending toward her. She took his face between her hands, staring at him with a proud smile. He tilted his head, it was strange. He thought he would have seen this expression on his mother’s face when he had killed his father with your help. And yet, it was on his wedding day that she was beaming the most. How strange…
She was kissing his cheeks while walking around him, praising him again and again.
He looked at himself in the mirror with his mother by his side.
“ I’m so happy, I’ve always wished for your happiness.” She whispered, leaning her hand against his shoulder. His mother was getting older, she seemed smaller than she used to be. He looked down at her, as she grinned at him.
He turned his head toward the door when he heard someone knocking. His mother went to open the door and greeted your father who stepped in. Alastor shook his hand, smiling at the man who seemed… nervous?
“ Well, Alastor, you look splendid.” he said as he held his hand between his. Alastor nodded, staring at his soon to be father-in-law. He could already see that the man wanted to talk with him. His mother must have sensed it because she left the two men together.
“ You wanted to talk to me, sir ?” Alastor asked, his usual smile. Your father seemed surprised but he couldn't help but laugh.
“ As observant as always, Alastor.”
He almost rolled his eyes. No need to be observant, most of the time, when someone knocked on someone else's door, it was usually to talk. Furthermore, your father was a policeman, he wouldn’t be surprised if the man wanted to talk with him about you, or his father’s death.
“ I’m here… I wanted to talk about my daughter.”
Bingo.
“ I just… You have nothing to do with your father’s disappearance, right?”
All of them were so easy to read. Now, he just needed to give your father some kind  of informations that would make him less… threatening.
“ I won’t lie to you. My main goal right now is to marry your daughter. My father is still haunting my thoughts but I need to be strong for your daughter, right? What I’m asking of you, if you ever find him, please do tell me before he goes home.”
“ Of course, Alastor. I’ll find him, you’ll meet him again, I promised.” Your father frowned.
He wanted to laugh out loud. If you were next to him right now, would you bite your lips to contain your laughter or would you giggle behind your hand.
“ But… Please, do take care of my daughter.”
“ I’ll protect her with my life.”
Alastor looked at your father, his gaze was set on him. Your father was giving you away to him. A monster, disguised as a human being. How funny.  But you loved him, the human being and the monster. Was he half-human? Half-monster? A monster? A Human? What was the difference?
He watched as your father relaxed. He tapped his shoulder two times before leaving him alone. He looked in the mirror and he laughed out loud, almost crying from laughing. They were all stupid people, dear, you would have laughed with him so hard if you were here.
He beamed at his reflection, arranging his tie once more. It was time for him to wait for you at the aisle. He looked as his mother entered the room once more, telling him it was time to go. He watched his reflection once more, smiling widely before going into the ceremony’s room with his mother.
He waited at the aisle, listening to Victor and Mimzy. He couldn’t wait to see you in your wedding dress.
After a while, everyone went to sit down and the mayor invited Alastor to place himself. He asked him if he was nervous but he shook his head. He wasn’t nervous,he was… excited? He turned his head toward the big door once the music started and he freezed.
You were breathtaking, walking toward him, holding on to your father’s arm. Your face was covered by a white veil, which almost made him grin. This shield you put against others was going to be taken down by him,  and him alone.
He held his hand toward you, wanting to smooth the itch that was bothering him. He needed to feel you. He took off your veil, and relaxed when he saw your face. How beautiful.  You truly looked like an angel.
“ Who blessed me with you, I wonder…”
And he wondered who cursed you with him.
In a twisted way, he was so elated to be the one to ruin you. Since you first met, you always choose him until, even if you wanted to, you wouldn’t be able to run away. You were all pure and you accepted to be tainted by him, from your morals, to your blood and soon your soul. He couldn’t tear his eyes off from you but he still listened to Alyzée’s father talking. You were watching the mayor but he could see all your attention was on his fingers stroking your hands.
He turned completely toward you once it was time to say your vows. You were adorable, you were already ready to cry. How cute you could be, from crying because you were emotional to you tearing an eye off. How lucky he was!
“ I shall begin. We all know she is the most emotional between the two of us.” he smirked when the crowd laughed fondly. “ Dearest…”
You sniffed. Well, let’s share what he felt for you in front of everyone.
“  I don’t think I can recall a day where you weren’t at my side. Your voice is the best melody I can remember, your touch healed much more than any doctors could have achieved.  You are the first who showed me genuine emotions, you never hide yourself from me and the most important… I never felt the need to hide myself from you.”
He wondered if you knew how comfortable he felt with you. How every time your eyes would lock, he would feel shiver in his whole body?
“ You waited, dearest, you waited for me to open myself to you, which is admirable in a lot of ways. But what was more important for me is that you didn't run away. You accepted me.” he kissed the back of your hand, keeping his eyes on yours. “ You decided to put your trust in me even though what we share isn’t what you used to believe in, right?” he chucked as you nodded with a shaky laugh.
All those romance books you read while he couldn’t grasp the meaning behind those fancy words. He remembered how you would gush about the prince charming who was saving the princess while the prince didn’t even know the princess.
Was your meeting like a fairytale? No. If it was a fairytale he would be the dragon keeping you inside a tall tower, killing every person that would approach you. But he couldn’t help but think you wouldn’t not enjoy that.
“ What I’m willing to give you is much more than what you have ever read, ever seen, ever experimented with. Death itself couldn’t tear us apart, I swear it , my love.”
Your relationship through all those years was like evidence. In his mind, he couldn’t see himself without you.  He still did not know if his affection was like the love you wished for when you were younger, but from your tears, maybe you would still accept it. He looked as Alice came to you to give you a tissue to wipe your eyes.
You looked at Alastor who stared at you, caressing your cheek.
“ I shall love you in the way you accepted. In sickness, in health, poor, rich, I do not care. As long as you are by my side, this life is worth living.”
Your smile and your eyes  were beautiful. It was the first thing that caught his attention since the beginning. Your eyes would always shine bright, with any emotions you would feel. As you grew older, you stopped showing your emotions to anyone which made it even more special when you would just show your bare feelings to him.
He didn’t expect to feel so much during your speech.  You were confirming everything he questioned in his mind. You were as obsessed as him, you both would die in your madness bound to each other.
He smiled during your speech but couldn’t hold himself when you said your last sentence.
“ I love you so much, it might cost me my sanity, my love.”
He tugged you against his torso, caging you in his arms. You would lose your sanity for him, he almost chuckled. He felt like he never had sanity from the beginning and you were the one being his moral compass, sometimes..
He stepped back and waited for the ring before putting the jewel on your finger. He could feel a shiver running through his whole body. He could almost see a chain around your neck where his necklace was. Finally, in front of the law, you were his, completely his.
“ I declare you husband and wife, you may now kiss the bride.”
Who was he to say those words?
You smiled as Alastor tugged you toward him, kissing you like tomorrow wouldn’t exist.
Finally.
You broke the kiss, staying near him as the crowd was shouting and clapping.
“ I love you, Alastor.. I love you, I love you..” you whispered against his lips. He almost melted at your words. He didn't know those kind of words, which he couldn’t truly understand, was making him feel so weak and strong at the same time.
“ I love you, dearest, in a way that no human would dare to love.” he whispered back, making you kiss him one more time. Even the devil would be afraid to love you like he was doing right now.
You walked out of the town hall, holding on to your husband’s arms. You stayed on the stairs as journalists took pictures of you and Alastor. He would already hear Victor’s yapping about how great you both looked.
You laughed when the women were asking you to throw the bouquet. You turned your back to the crowd, closed your eyes and threw it. He kind of wished Mimzy would catch it, she didn’t want to get married, that would be fun to watch her face if she happened to catch the bouquet.
“ Oh my gosh!”
Even better.
You turned around and screamed in glee when you saw Alice with the bouquet. She walked toward you and hugged you, sniffing. He turned his eyes toward the mayor who said that the car was ready for you to use. He smirked before thanking him, shaking his hand once more. Alastor took your hand and guided you toward the vehicle before opening the door for you.
“ Is it our car..?”
“ A gift from Alyzée’s father.” he winked at you before you entered the car, Alastor closing the door behind you. He settled behind the steering wheel and began to drive until his destination.
“ I feel like I’m dreaming…” you sighed in bliss.
“ I don’t think I ever felt this… happy.” you looked at Alastor who almost seemed confused. He wasn’t very surprised to feel this much emotion when you were by his side, but it was still surprising when he knew killing was the second next thing that could grant him so much euphoria. “ Even killing my father didn’t bring me this much joy. You really are something, my love.” he smirked as he parked in the hotel’s parking lot.
Once everyone has arrived you all went into the banquet hall. You looked at all the tables and the band that was on stage, preparing themselves. You sat next to Alastor as Alice walked toward you with a piece of paper. She did a speech, an emotional sarcastic speech which brought you and her to tears.
He laughed when Mimzy did her speech. She would make inside jokes that would make him smirk but she didn’t tell too much which he appreciated. Victor was next, he told everyone about how Alastor was the definition of dedicated and so on. Victor was a good fella, he kept him at his side to feed his ego when needed.
His back straightened  up when his mother walked with the microphone. He knew she was going to make a speech, but he didn’t know if he was ready to hear it.
She didn’t talk about the bad thing, but through her eyes he was telling everything he needed to know. She, who looked so small in his dressing room before the wedding, was looking so tall right now. He almost felt like a little boy. The little boy who just wanted his mother to tell him they were safe now.
He always wondered how his mother perceived him. When he was torturing animals when he was younger, when he went hunting, being captivated by death, when his soul began to rot. What did she think about it?
Was his soul already rotten when she gave birth to him?
Well, he didn’t really care now, he was satisfied with himself.
“Mon bébé… Not everything has been easy, I’m well aware. You always asked me what you could do to make me smile, to make me happy. Well, mon coeur, by being happy, you make me the happiest mother on earth. Je t’aime, quoi qu’il puisse arriver, tu seras toujours mon fils que j’aime.”
He wondered why his eyes got teary. Maybe his inner child was waiting for this moment? He stood up, letting your hand go before hugging his mother, harder than he expected. Everyone was clapping around them but he didn’t care. She whispered in his ears that she loved him, no matter what could happen. His face was hidden in his mother’s shoulder, hiding the boyish smile that was on his lips. He stepped back, kissing his mother on the cheek, wiping one tear from her cheek before walking back toward you.
Was his mother letting him go? Was she telling him that she did her job, protecting you as she could, until he could leave living his life with you? He hoped she knew, he would always go back to her, she was his mother.
You looked as Alice’s father walked toward you. Well, he didn’t expect a speech from her dad, but he did see you grow up.
“ Well, I do not know Alastor, but I know a woman, who has always been by my daughter's side. No matter what was going on, she would take my daughter’s side. As a thank you, for being yourself, Mr and Mrs Sanglar, please accept as a wedding gift the house we wanted to sell.”
His eyebrows shoot up. Well, he wanted to buy the property but he did not expect it to be given to you like this.
“ Well, now, we shall see the married one dance! Band, some music, please!”
Alastor guided you toward the dancefloor as a soft song began to be played. You danced with Alastor, never breaking eye contact with him.  He was moving you against him until he made a gesture to the band who began to change the music, they were now playing jazz.
You smiled widely at Alastor as you both began to dance, twirling, being lifted in the air, under everyone’s eyes. No one could detach their gaze from you.
After a while, everyone danced with everybody. He danced with her mother, being careful as she laughed, seeming the happiest she ever was. He even danced with Alice to make you happy.
He walked toward a balcony to breathe some fresh air and he smirked when he saw you outside. You were outside the hotel, being beautiful. He sended his shadow to you, you never know what could happen.
He frowned a little but kept his smile when he saw John approached you. He looked at the scene, drinking from his glass as Mimzy chatted next to him about the good looking men that were present on the dance floor. He told her to go back dancing, keeping his eyes on you.
When John left you, he came back inside and took another glass of whiskey, talking with the guests, listening to the drunk confessions. Everything could be used, and the mayor was really talkative with Alice’s father.
After a while, he saw you and Alice drunkenly walked toward the balcony. He excused himself before following you. He wanted to be with his wife now.
“ So~ Can’t wait for the honeymoon~?” he heard Alice ask.
“ I don’t even know how I managed to not jump on him.” you giggled drunkenly with Alice. How cute you were…
“ Who are we talking about?”
You smiled as you turned around and saw a smiling Alastor.
“ We are talking about my husband.”
God, he loved hearing those words coming from your mouth.
“ What a lucky fella! May I know what he looks like?” he smiled as Alice winked at you before leaving.
“ He looks… like sin.” you whispered as you stared at him. “ You shouldn’t be this close to me, you don’t want to meet his wrath.”
“ I’ll try my luck.” He kissed you, making you grab his shoulder as you moaned his name. “ You’re finally my wife.” He looked at your ring.
“ You’re finally my husband.” you kissed his lips one more time as you both stared at each other with so much passion, tenderness, obsession, lust and love, it would almost make you faint.
“ I love you.”
—-------
You were singing in the car with the biggest smile you had on your face. Alastor was behind the wheel, smiling, humming the same tune as your voice. He always was satisfied when you were singing.
He has been driving for almost two hours, enjoying the salty air and your voice. Sometimes you would hold your hand toward his mouth so he would sing, which he gladly did. When his voice was mixed with yours, you both were singing the most beautiful songs.
You fell asleep in the car, waking up when Alastor kissed your lips. You blinked slowly before smiling at him. He stroked your cheeks before going to take the luggages. He knew Paulette was near the house. He easily carried the luggages, greeted Paulette before entering the house. It wasn’t his type of decoration but well… As long as it didn’t bother you.
“ What do you want to do first?” He crossed his arms on his chest, looking patiently at you as you thought out loud about all the possibilities. You moved your hands toward the luggages and telekinesied them toward the bedroom. Seeing you using your power always made him feel something dark inside him.
“ I want to see the city ! No, the beach!” you clapped your hands as your eyes returned to their usual color. He smiled before stretching his hand toward you which you immediately took before leaving the house.
You let Alastor guide you and you smiled even more when you saw the beach. It really was close to the house Alastor rented, he knew you always wanted to go to the beach. You took off your shoes, Alastor already holding them for you. He looked as you innocently walked barefoot on the warm sand.
“ Come with me!”
As if he could do anything else.
He watched as you walked toward the water, stopping in front of the tide. Alastor knew you still were afraid of water, since the lake accident. He needed to teach you how to swim, he didn’t want something bad to happen to you.
He hugged you from behind, teasing you as always, his body relaxing at your usual banters. He took your attention from the water by giving you a seashell that looked like he had been painted by all the colors. You quickly decided to find others so you could give them to him.
He looked at the waves and the sun. It was a strange emotion to feel at peace. He felt like the world stopped to make you savor this moment.
“ Dear husband ?”
“ Dear wife?” He asked, still looking at the water, trying to find a way for you to not be afraid of it anymore. He heard you walk closer to him and he felt his shadow move but it didn't say anything to him. When he decided to look down at it, you threw sand at him.
“ Oh, are we already playing?” he said as he slowly lifted his head, looking at you.
“ Don’t we always?” you grinned before taking off. You laughed as you heard him running after you. It was a little difficult as you weren’t used to running on sand but a few seconds after you screamed as Alastor tackled you on the floor. You laughed as he tickled you with a mocking smile. “ It’s because you forget rule number one!” you shouted as you trashed underneath him.
He smirked, you still remembered these three rules he had teached you when he was younger. It was almost touching.
You then decided it was time to go home. He said he was going to prepare something to eat and you should take a shower which you gladly did. He was cutting the meat with a smirk, looking at the blade while it disappeared inside the meat.
He knew you were behind him but he didn’t expect you to use your power to make the knife fly out of his hand. Alastor turned toward you, with an annoyed smirk when he saw you.
“ I’m trying to cook, dear.”
“ I don’t see what is stopping you.” you smiled sweetly at him. He walked toward you, sliding his hand on your shoulder until he touched your hand where you were holding the knife.
“ We both know we like it more when I’m the one with the knife, right?” he smirked when he leaned toward you, taking the knife from your hand. “ right?”
“ Right.”
“ Good.” he purred before going back to cooking with a satisfied smile. He asked you to dress up the table when you told him you wanted to help him. But you played with him, with the knife, so he was going to have his fun too.
You easily opened the cupboard with your telekinesis but frowned when you saw Alastor’s shadow trying to keep the plates inside the cupboard.
“ Come on now, bad boy, let go !” you said as you force on your power, the shadow mocking you as he kept the plates in its grapes. You heard Alastor chuckling which made you even more agitated to have those damn plates.
“ Having some trouble, darling?” he sneered at you.
“ No!” You could feel power getting stronger in your eyes but then the shadow smirked at you before letting the plate go. You gasped before crouching, avoiding the plate that flew toward you. You bit your lips as you heard the crash against the wall behind you. You lifted your head toward Alastor who was trying to suppress his laughter. He didn’t expect you to use so much strength but it was funnier than he anticipated.
“ Well?”
You turned around and winced when you saw the plates in pieces on the floor. You pouted as Alastor took the pieces in his hands, laughing. He winced when a sharp piece of plate cut his finger. He already knew it was a deeper cut that it was letting on.
“ Do we have bandages ?” you asked as you took his finger to see the blood pouring out the cut.
“ No need, darling. It’s going to stop soon.” he smiled at you, ready to move on.
But you grabbed his hand and licked his wound. Your tongue was moving around his finger, licking his blood like it was the best thing you ever had. He could feel his eyes flash red, staring at you. He tugged you against him when you realized what you were doing, already ready to panic.
“, I’m sorry ! I didn’t–!”
“ Well done, my love, you healed me.”
You looked at his finger and freezed when you saw his hand was as good as new. You winced when you felt a little pain on your finger and looked at your hand. Alastor and you looked as you saw your finger being cut, just like Alastor a moment before, without any weapon around.
“ I see… You can heal me because you took the injury yourself.” he mumbled, not happy with the news. He wasn’t the kind to get injured often. But he knew that you would want to heal him, even if it was a scratch.
You stared at the cut and a few seconds after, the cut disappeared. You looked at Alastor with a smile.
“ I think the injury stayed on me the same time it has stayed on you. Which means, if you ever have a serious injury, I need to heal you as quickly as possible, if I don’t want to keep the injury for too long.”
That was even more problematic. If he was injured, he needed to make a choice if it was better to be treated by you or a hospital and the choice has to be quick because you would keep the injury as long as he himself had kept it. He needed to get stronger so he could get a hold of this power and you wouldn't have to get hurt.
“ I see… Well, I just have to not get injured, right?” he smirked at you as he kissed the place where the cut moment before. “ You are pretty in purple, but I like them better in red.”
You tried to find a mirror and once you did you find that your eyes had a purple hue.
“ Well, darling, would you please set the table?” you rolled your eyes at Alastor's cunning voice.
You both ate and then you talked about John. You came back with an envelope which held 1,000 dollars. He didn’t expect the Felleur’s family to give so much money to the man who insulted their son on the radio. He smirked as he imagined John’s face when his parents had told him to give you this from them.
“ Let’s take a walk.” he chuckled at your words.
“ Going outside, at night, in an unknown town? Are you looking for trouble?”
“ Aren’t we the trouble?” you smirked at him.
He groaned as he tugged you toward him and kissed you feverishly, how he adored you. You smiled as you put your shoes on after clearing the table. You went out with Alastor, holding upon his arm. You decided to follow a trail that seemed to go away from the city, feeling adventurous, you begged Alastor to follow it. He sighed but accepted your supplications. Once you reached the top you looked down the hills and saw the ocean, you weren’t too high but you still gulped.
Well, it seemed like you needed a little push to move out from your fear. Mostly when he was next to you, you did not need to fear anything.
Alastor jumped off the hill, falling into the water. It felt good to be underneath water, the water was cool against his warm skin. He swam back to the surface, throwing his head back so his hair wouldn’t get in his eyes.
“ Stay here, I’m going to take the trail to–”
“ Jump!” he shouted.
He saw you freeze but he needed you to do this. Were you remembering your first meeting when he had asked you to jump off the swing? That day, you listened to him, you went out of your comfort zone for him. He needed you to do the same today, he wanted to see your trust in him.
He wanted to see the little girl that changed his life so much.
“ I’ll catch you” Always.
He grinned when he saw you jumping off the cliff.  It was the same as that day, you looked like an angel, your hair moving into the air, your dress making it seem like you had wings. You were an angel, turning your back on anyone, to be with him. You chose to fall in hell with him, for him.
You felt Alastor’s arms as you hitted the water. You wrapped your arms around his body before he swam the both of you toward the surface. You gasped for air and looked around before laughing as you stared at your husband with a wide laugh.
“Wow! Did you see that Alastor ! I did it ! Haha ! That was super amazing !” You looked at him with a wide smile.
You looked as Alastor hand cupped your face before kissing you. You closed your eyes as you kissed him back. He was proud of you, he would never let you be alone in those moments, he would be your protector if you needed to. But he knew he needed to be sure you could hold yourself, you were partners, husband and wife, child friends and so on..
—----
The next day, you both went into town. You watched what kind of furniture you would buy for your future home. He was looking at some desk that he would be able to put into his office… Your new house was big, bigger than he was used to but he knew you would fill every room with warmth.
You kept walking, looking for things for your new home or for yourself. You find new clothes, a new hat for Alastor and some souvenirs for your family and friends. You ate lunch in a small restaurant that you found delicious. Alastor didn’t like it much but he couldn’t help but smile when you said you could help him finish.
You walked back home, still full of energy. You looked at the full moon as Alastor was taking a shower. He came back to you, cleaning his glasses with a tissue.
“ Are you ready, my love?”
“ Mhn?”
“ Well, to bond yourself to me.”
You moved so quickly he feared you would lose your balance. You both went into the bedroom where he had written symbols on papers with ink.
“ I have everything we need.” He said with a confident smile. He walked back toward you with a blade. “ First, I need a place to mark you, if you don’t mind, dearest, I’ll choose your heart. I already carved an ‘A’ here, but you know I’m greedy. I’ll place my runes here…”
“ You have a rune for yourself ?” you asked him, curiously.
“ I created one, yes.” He tilted his head as you took off your dress, baring yourself at him. He walked toward you and cut you between your breasts. The ‘ A’ he once had carved wasn’t there anymore but it didn’t matter, something much more meaningful was going to be here.
“ Every time your heart beats, it is for me. This life is mine… “ He whispered against your skin. “Now,dear, unfortunately, you can’t carve  rune but you still have energy. Where do you want to place yourself on me.” he smiled at you with a teasing expression, watching you as you put your night dress on. “ My heart already belongs to you–”
“ Your forehead.”
“ Pardon?”
“ Well, we both know you always stay inside your mind for hours sometimes. I want to be the one who owns every single one of your thoughts.” You said confidently. You advanced toward him, feeling power inside you. You kissed his forehead, closing your eyes. “ This twisted brain of yours will never work if my heart isn’t beating for you.”
Well, he knew for a fact that if you were no longer by his side, which would never happen, he would lose the rest of his sanity.
“ This is really cute, I don’t remember the last time I performed this curse!” you looked at Baron Samedi who was smoking his cigar.
“ Let’s finish this.” you heard Papa Legba. “ You need something that would be the material bond in the human world. “
You looked as Alastor took something of his luggages.
“ Eamon!” you shouted in surprise.
“ Of course, dear. What is better to represent our bond than our fawn?”
“ He is a deer!”
“ Fawn. Now! Let’s begin.” he placed Eamon on the floor between the two of you.  He felt Kalfu entering his body, taking it as his own vessel. He could feel his lips moving into a smile so big he almost felt like the corner of his lips were bleeding.
He watched as Kalfu cut his wrist, making the blood drip onto Eamon. He stared at the fawn which seemed to be infused with energy. The symbols on the paper were detaching themselves from it.
He then felt a horrible pain in his head. It felt like his brain had been shot, he wanted to tear his hair off so it may lessen the pain he was feeling. The pain was moving from his head to any parts of his body, it was like his blood was poisonous and was contaminating all his being.
Baron Samedi wrote something in front of him, he couldn’t understand anything nor the voice that was chanting around him. He fell on his knees, holding his head as Kalfu left his body. He didn’t really listen to the spirits talking, his head was pounding, like someone was using a hammer and kept punching his head with it.
You were talking to him, he always loved your voice but now he needed to lessen the pain. Maybe if he took a cold shower it would help… He groaned when you forced him to lift his head to watch you. “ What? Are you not okay?”
He freezed when he heard your voice, but inside his mind. You having been talking, you were speaking inside his mind and from the look of it you could also hear his thoughts.
His smile widened before he rushed toward you and hugged you. He spun you around, laughing happily. You stared at him, lost but happy. He put you down and took Eamon with a smirk.
“ I don’t believe it. There aren’t a lot of archives about this spell but I sure didn’t know we could share our thoughts that way.” He put Eamon with care on the bed. “ My love, now Eamon is the material bound between us, nothing must happen to him, it could weaken what is linking us.”
He laughed like a mad man, that should scare you but you just smiled softly, looking fondly at your husband.
“ Oh my love, curse of my sanity, I can’t wait to kill while hearing all of your thoughts!” he laughed, bending his body backwards, his hand hiding his eyes. “ I have a list of new victims, it only needs us to erase them from earth!” He laughed as you giggled next to him.
What a good day !
You walked toward him as he lifted you up in the air. You laughed as you both danced in the small bedroom while laughing. You stopped when you saw something.
“ Alastor…”
“ Yes?”
“ My shadow…”
He looked as your shadow was now similar to his. It held the same hideous smile while it played with his shadow. It seemed like the ritual had more secrets than he initially thought. He couldn’t wait to discover it with you.
“ Oh, this will be fun.”
—-------
“ Once again, the police have found a body, the right eye missing and a smile carved into the victim’s flesh. This had been going on for years, yet, the police, led by John Felleur, still haven't found a single clue about the serial killer that haunts New Orleans’s streets. The killer seems to attack men only, so my dear fellow gentlemen, you should stay vigilant!” He spoke into his microphone with a big smile.
It’s been three years since his wedding and what a journey it has been. He was the most popular radio host of all Louisiana, he was well respected, having connections with people he never would have thought to meet. And thanks to that, he could easily find new targets.
The police were trying to find a serial killer, which was of course, him and his darling wife. You didn’t give up your little hobbit, always going with him when it was time to slay. He always finds a new way of torturing his victims, sometimes wondering if he was affraying you, but when he would turn around, you would just look at him fondly.
How lucky he was.
His powers were becoming more stable and he had more stamina now. He didn’t necessarily use his power when he was killing someone, he didn’t think they were worth it. He would use it during the track, finding information about how vile the pig was. And he was getting better and better, never injuring himself.
Which created an argument between the both of you. He didn’t want you to use your healing capacity but you always have been a brat, so you would injure yourself so you could train. The first day he saw you doing that, he thought he lost any sanity left in his body. He had you pinned on the floor, asking many times what you were doing.
After hearing your pleas, he agreed to hurt himself so you would learn from him. He didn’t want you to heal serious injuries, he didn’t know if you could die from an injury you healed before it killed him.
Alice was the one who would help him find filthy pigs that he didn’t know they existed. She could still be of use after all those years, who would have thought?
He said his goodbye to his audience before leaving his workplace and took his car to drive back home. He was sure Alice was at your home, he didn’t really care.
He entered the front door and smiled when he saw you, your head already turned toward him.
“ How do you always know when he is coming home! Each time, it’s a different hour!” asked Alice, always shocked when you could tell when Alastor was coming home.
“ Good evening, Alice. What an unhappy expecting surprise to you here.” said Alastor with a mocking smile.
“ Even after all those years, you are still not a gentleman.”
Only with my wife, right, my love?
It was a new power you both acquired when you bond your souls togethers. You could talk in each other’s mind which created funny and interesting moments. He looked as you went into the kitchen to cook dinner. He wanted to keep painting the room but well, he couldn’t let your guest unattended.
“ Unfortunately, I think I can’t stay with you for dinner.”
“ What? But I was going to make your favorite dish!” you shouted, going back into the living room with a pan in your hand. “ Did Alastor say something?”
“ Honey…” he sighed with a smirk.
“ Do you think he could make me change my opinion?” she raised an eyebrow.
“ Right, so why? Are you still feeling unwell?”
“No… It’s just…” She sat on the sofa, sighing. You sat next to her, taking her hands while Alastor was looking at her with his usual smile. “ I am pregnant.”
….
“ What?” you said in unison with Alastor.
Alastor watched as you asked Alice for precision, your eyes flashing red. Alice never asked you anything about it even though he was sure she saw your eyes changing colors. Was she lying to herself or was she trying not to be noisy?
Alice was pregnant even though she told you her husband never forced himself on her. Alastor was surprised, Alice never really talked about wanting to be pregnant so if he needed to kill the husband, you would have to be very careful.
“ Do you need us to kill him?” asked Alastor calmly. He didn’t really feel anything but maybe anger about not controlling the situation. Trey Felleur was a  catholic man he thought was boring, just a tasteless man that was doing his job, talking about politics… Nothing worth his time.
“ Calm down, the both of you. He didn’t force himself on me. I wanted a child, so this has to happen. He asked me multiple times if this is what I wanted, I said yes. He didn’t do anything bad.” she stood up, taking your hands in hers. “ But there is something worrying me. I think Alyzée is being stalked by someone… She says she feels like she is being watched.”
Well, well, well… Another stalker’s story? Last time was when you were teenagers, and you never found him. It was mostly not a stalker, he kept watching when you both were out and he never felt eyes on him. But someone following Alyzée, now that was interesting and possible.
He stood up when you took Alice to the front door. He listened as he leaned against the door.
“ Nothing will hurt your family.” you said to her. Alice looked at you, taking your hand in yours.
“ You know, you are part of my family as well.” she whispered to you. “ Even Alastor, but never let him know that.”
“ I heard you.”
“ Fuck off!” she shouted before looking at you. “ Please, be careful. If you need anything, ask me.”
He watched as she took a cab and went back to town.
You both went into the kitchen, preparing your dinner. If someone were to see the both of you, they would mostly think they were dreaming. You were moving everything you needed in the air with your power, the plates placing themselves on the tables, the vegetables being cut while Alastor was boiling the water.
You smiled when you saw Alastor’s shadow begin, once more, to tease yours. They were fighting each other, you could see them on the wall. Sometimes he wondered if both of your shadows had your childhood’s personality…
“ Alastor, should we finish painting the last bedroom?”  you asked, taking off your apron. “ I’m not hungry yet.”
He nodded before following you. You both painted and of course you decided you wanted to play. He smirked when you threw paint at him, your laughter echoing in the room. You yelped when you felt the shadow held you while Alastor was painting your cheeks, smirking at you. You laughed, trying to escape from the shadow. Yours was jumping on Alastor’s, taking it away from you. He looked as both shadows were happily fighting each other. You quickly took paint and threw it at Alastor as he shielded himself with his arms.
After winning the war, you both went to take a shower and then went back to the kitchen before sitting on the table and eating.
“ How should we find Alyzée’s stalker ? Should we send our shadow?” you asked as Alastor made you eat from his fork.
“ Oh, my love, no.  Do we really need to waste our power for this?” he laughed, waving his hand in the air. “ We need to kill John, remember?”
John was becoming a pressing matter. He was still in the police and he was setting on finding the serial killer that was terrorizing New Orleans. He was far too blinded by you to think you were the one behind the killing with him, but he knew John was still thinking he was the one being the cause of his father’s disappearance. But he needed to find the right moment…
“ How could I forget? But right now, he isn’t a threat. The stalker could be, what if he found out about Alice’s relationship?” you asked as he wiped the sauce from your lips.
“ If this is what you wish for, we shall take care of Alyzée’s stalker. It shouldn’t take long, nor be difficult.” he said as he leaned against his chair. You smiled at him, making him raise an eyebrow at you. “ What?”
“ You are so sure of yourself, I admire that.”
“ Because no one could make me doubt my abilities,” he said before kissing your forehead. “ You should stay with Alyzée, try to see if you feel something when you are with her.”
You both agreed  before going to bed. The next morning, he felt a little off but after a quick breakfast he felt better and he drove you to town, kissing you before going to work. Victor came 5 minutes after him, already telling him the news about his last broadcast.
He was writing on a paper when he felt something. He lifted up his head. He finished his emission 10 minutes ago, which let him write for his next broadcast… But right now, he didn’t like what he was feeling… He stood up quickly, asking Victor to handle the rest before leaving his workplace.
He could feel your bound, so he just had to follow it then he would find you. He freezed when he saw you walking alongside John, bruised.
He wondered how John would scream if he were to open the policeman’s chest and eat his heart right in front of him. He was sure it would be less painful than seeing you bruised in front of him.
Did he do that? Tell me, I’ll kill him right now.
You stopped walking when you lifted up your head, Alastor was in front of you, it seemed like he had just finished working.
“ Mr. Felleur, please tell me why my wife is injured, next to you?” he said as he smiled like usual even if you could see anger swirling in his eyes. “ Please, answer me quickly.”
“ Mr.Sanglar, your wife has been attacked by a man, I happened to be there to save her life.” John said as you ran into Alastor’s side.
“ Well, Officier Felleur, thank you for bringing my wife to me. I shall take it from here.”
“ I need her to write if she happens to see his face. It could be the serial killer I’m after.”
You tried to hide your smile while Alastor laughed out loud.  This poor fool wouldn’t be able to catch him red-handed as long as the sun kept rising up.
“ Oh right, but I think she would have told you if she saw something, right? But this is not the case. So, if you allow us, we shall go.” He wrapped one arm around your waist before walking away from John who just stared at you.
Alastor walked you back to your car, opened the door for you before settling behind the steering wheel. You waited for him to drive but he stayed silent. He was trying to keep the anger inside of him which was difficult because he could felt his body being warmer because of the fury inside him.
“ Alastor, my love ?”
You flinched when you saw him punch the steering wheel, grinding his teeth.
“ I’m okay, darling. I just… didn’t expect to see you hurt.” He said before driving toward your home.
“ Alastor no! Alice and Alyzée are maybe in danger!”
“ Does it look like I care, my love? You are hurt.” he said, his eyes never leaving the road. If you think he cared about anyone but you right now? You were injured, your body had marks that haven’t been made by him, someone dared touch you.
“ Alastor, stop the car!” you shouted.
Alastor stopped the car on a deserted road, the one you always used to go home. He looked at you, his smile twitching, could you be a good girl right now and let him drive you home? Your eyes were red and so was his.
“ Alastor, Alice is pregnant, Alyzée doesn’t know how to fight, they need us! What if the man is already there?”
“ Love of my life, curse of my sanity, Alice's family is the RicheMont. They have maids, butlers, their houses are on the richest quartier of New Orleans. Do you really think a mere human could walk in like that?” he asked you, his grip tightening on the wheel. “ They are safe there, my shadow is watching.”
He saw your body relaxed but then you explained you used your power against the man. He didn’t like it, he hoped the man hadn't seen you use your telekinesis, he always told you: If you were to use your power, make sure the person was dead right after.
His smile came back when he saw how upset because you let your prey run away. How cute, he felt like he was watching a small animal trying to hunt on a bigger animal. But well, he knew you were a professional killer now… Well, it didn't mean he couldn’t be protective of you.
Alastor started back the car, driving you home. He went to prepare dinner but then he stopped when he felt you use your healing abilities. The atmosphere was always colder when you were using it…
You saw Alastor watching you through the mirror, his arms crossed on his chest. You tilted your head as he walked toward you. He kissed your bare back, kissing each place a bruise has been made before you healed yourself.
He kissed your face, his eyes looking at you.
“ Don’t let others injure you my dear. This is my privilege, isn’t it?” he tilted his head, his eyes never leaving your face.
That night, he played with your body, cutting you with his teeth, his nails and his blade. You were like a sacrifice made for him. An angel offered as a sacrifice to calm the wrath of the vengeful spirit that was haunting New Orleans.
Hearing you moaning his name although he was sliding the blade against your skin was making him ligheaded. You both were crazy and you both enjoyed that. Your blood was dripping so pretty on the table, the red so mermazing.
He kissed every single one of his cuts and smiled when you told him you didn't want to heal them yet. You wanted to feel them.
When you went to bed, he watched you sleeping before going into the living room. He needed to write his next podcast, maybe he could talk about his sixth murder? No…  He coughed a little, hiding his mouth behind his fist. What could be tomorrow's next topic?
He stood up and went into the kitchen to make some coffee, still thinking. Maybe he could tell the story of your first murders, his father’s death.. Mh, it could be interesting. What name should he choose… Maybe he could ask the audience what the name of the character could be.
He walked back into the living room and felt a sudden dizziness that made him drop his mug on the floor. He almost swore but he just sighed.
“ Alastor, are you hurt ?” you watched as he lifted his head up to you with a warm smile. He stood up and walked toward you before kissing your forehead.
“ I’m okay, love. It seems like I was still upset about what happened to you with the stalker, my hand was shaking.” he sighed, whispering his words softly against the skin of your forehead.
“ Why don’t you come back to bed..? It’s three in the morning…” you whined against him.
Alastor looked at you for a minute before nodding. He cleaned his mess before going back to the bedroom with you, turning off the light. You slid into the covers, opening your arms for him. He smiled softly at you before going into bed, placing his head on your chest, above your beating heart.
“ Do you want to talk about it, my love?” you asked softly as your fingers were running through his curly hair. He hummed but didn’t say anything. He didn’t know why, he was so tired… Well, he was use to sleep three hours or more if he was lucky, if he were listening to your beating heart…
When he opened his eyes the next day, he almost freaked out for a minute. He was alone in the bed. He sat up, feeling you downstairs. He sighed, placing his head against the palm of his hand. He was still sleepy, what an odd and unusual feeling… He walked toward the kitchen and looked at you.
“ I made your coffee.” You said before kissing his cheeks. He wrapped his arms against you, kissing your forehead, thanking you in his deep sleepy voice. You smiled at him, placing the pastries in front of him. “ Did you sleep well?”
“ Mhn… I slept deeply, this doesn’t happen occasionally.”  he held his chin with his left hand, looking at the ceiling, perplexed. You tilted your head as he winked at you. “ Don’t get used to it.”
You went to wash up after Alastor then you went into the living room, sitting on the sofa.  You tied up his tie for him, you always liked doing that so, he would let you do it, always watching you with a fond smile. You stared at him, stroking his cheeks.
“ You don’t have to meet with Alyzée today, my shadow keeps watch.” he said.
“ Nu-uh, I’m going. Take back your shadow, I don’t want you to be tired.” You kissed his nose with a fond smile.
“ It’s not taking an ounce of my energy and with what happened with the stalker, I’m not taking any chances.” he cupped your head in his hands, staring at you.
You nodded and then he took you to town. When he went into his office, he let himself fall on his chair, massaging his head, running his finger into his hair. Why was he so tired and why was he feeling so hot? This summer was really warmer than last year? Dear god…
Victor came to him seeming worried. Alastor told him to just do his work as his program was going to begin. He would go through it, just like he always did. He focused his thoughts in his notes, never losing his flow, his humor and his answer with the audience. Today seemed like it wasn’t going to end.
He, sometimes, was holding his head while a listener was talking. There was so much noise… and it was god damn too hot !
Thank God, he managed until the end. He took a bottle of water and drank all of it, closing his eyes as the cold liquid ran inside his throat. He lifted up his head when he heard a knock and told the person to enter. He could already feel your presence behind the door.
He stood up from his seat. He walked toward you as Victor left his office. You smiled at him, kissing him softly as he hummed against your lips. “ What is my darling wife doing here?”
“ I wanted to see my husband.” you chuckled when you felt his lips kissing your neck before sitting back on his chair. “ This is the first time I come here… With my body.”
“ Last time, it was your soul, you’re right.” He leaned on his chair, crossing his arms against his torso. You seemed to be observing him, he almost laughed. He always enjoyed when you were “copying” him.
You took a tissue from your bag and wiped his forehead as he closed his eyes. You touched his forehead with your hand and frowned a little.
“ You’re warmer than usual.”
“ Well, it is summer and my office gets hot with all my materials.”
You pouted, trying to fan him with a piece of paper which made him laugh. He stood up, kissed your forehead and  said it was time to go home. He took some paper with him and you both left his workplace, and drove to your home. He needed to finish this and maybe he would be able to breathe a little.
But before he could enter your home, you took his hand and brought him to the lake. He looked at you as you took off your shoes and lifted up your dress before taking a step into the water. You turned around to look at him. holding your hand toward him with a soft smile. He stared at you before taking off his shoes and socks and walked in the water, toward you.
“ You aren’t scared?”
“ I’m with you, so, no, I’m not.”
He smiled, his body relaxing with your answer. Even if his body was doing nothing it was told, you would still put your life in his hands, like right now.
Alastor dived into the water with his clothes on. You smiled when you saw him emerge out of the water, his hair sticking in on his forehead. He closed his eyes as he swam, never going too far from you. In case you wanted to go into the water.
He looked as you went back home before closing his eyes, floating on the surface. The water was cool enough for him to feel his body get colder… But it was still not enough. He took off his shirt, before going back into the water.
He swam toward the edge of the lake when he felt you come back. He looked at you and smirked when he saw you staring at him, your mouth wide open. You gulped as he left the water and walked toward you.
“ You’re red, darling.”  He touched your chin, making you close your mouth you didn’t even realize was open. You shoved the sandwiches in his hands, looking away as he laughed. You laid down on the grass, looking at him. He leaned toward you, kissing your lips with a soft smile.
“ Did you know Alice wanted me to be her child’s godmother?” you whispered against his lips.
“ I guessed it.” He whispered before kissing you once more.
You smiled against his lips, wrapping your arms around his shoulders. You pushed your lips against his as he tried to get away, wrapping your legs around his waist. You tried to suppress your laugh as he was groaning when you didn’t move your lips away from his.
He stood up easily even if you were still clinging to him. He walked toward the lake, before entering the water, speaking , his voice muffled against your lips.
“ Darling… Let go…”
You shook your head, keeping your lips against him. You chuckled as he sighed before swimming in the water. You nipped at his lips, looking at him playfully. He went into the water with you, kissing you properly before diving into the water.
You closed your eyes, he could feel your hair moving against his skin, Alastor kissing you fondly. You felt him poking your cheek with his finger. You opened your eyes slowly, and Alastor looked as he saw your eyes. You both stared at each other before he swam to the surface.
You broke the kiss, smiling sweetly at him. He felt more relaxed than when you saw him at work. He swam to the lake’s edge, and you both ate what was left of sandwiches, looking as the sun was setting down. You played with Alastor’s curls until it was time to go home.
You fell asleep easily which made it easy for him to go downstairs to work once more. He needed to find that stalker, to find another pig to kill, put John out of the picture. He pulled on his hair, biting his lips.
This headache didn’t want to stop!
He wrote down on his notes, trying to ignore it but it was getting harder and harder to think about anything else but the pain in his head. He turned his head toward the door when he felt your presence, surprised.
“ Darling?”
You squinted your eyes at him and walked toward him, observing him. You touched his forehead and gasped when you felt how hot he was.
“ Alastor, I think you might be sick.” you said, already ready to go take the medicine you kept in your drawers.
“ Darling, I’m not. It’s hot, remember ?” He tilted his head, looking at you, amused.
You shook your head, crossing your arms on your chest. When you saw him going back to his notes, you took his hands, begging him with your eyes. How cruel of you…
“ Then, please, at least, go to bed.”
He looked at you before sighing and nodding. He couldn’t refuse anything and he was sick of this headache. Maybe laying down would help him in any way? He laid on your chest and before he knew it, he was asleep.
He woke up, and he almost swore when he saw the time. He was going to be late, what was going on? He stood up, took a rapid shower which didn’t stop the warmth in his body to stop getting hotter. He hitted the living room’s table with his hips, making him wince, as he was taking his notes.
“ Damn it…!”
“ Alastor, stay here, I’m calling Victor to tell him you won’t go to work.”
Alastor turned his head toward you, surprised to see you. Did he not feel your presence ? What was going on with his body? He didn't remember even getting sick since he had killed his father. You walked toward the telephone but Alastor stopped you with his usual charming smile.
“ My love… I’m going to work, there is no need to worry. It’s just a little fever, nothing more.”
But he knew you would be a brat. You threatened him to use your healing capacity on him if he wanted to go to bed. You were diabolic. He loved it. He felt like he was going to throw up…
You dialed Alastor’s workplace and sighed in relief when you heard Victor’s voice. You told him Alastor couldn’t go to work because he was sick.
“ Alastor? Sick?”
“ My wife is holding me hostage, Victor.”
You shushed your husband before telling Victor you would call him later. You looked at Alastor who was trying to keep his smile but, even if this was against you, he hated losing.
You pushed him into the bedroom, forcing him to change before going into the kitchen, preparing a meal for him. He felt like he was burning, the ceiling was moving even though he was laying down. He couldn’t see well, his senses were confused.
Where were you..?
He flinched when he felt a hand touch his forehead, smacking it immediately. Damn it, he was vulnerable and someone was there to witness it.
“ Don’t touch me..” he whispered. He wanted to have his usual smile but he couldn’t. Moving was exhausting, even smiling was asking too much of him.
“ I’m sorry, I just wanted to cool down the fever.” he heard someone say. The fever? He was sweating so much it was horrible. Was he in hell? If he was in hell, where were you?
“ Do you want to drink something ?”
“ Hot chocolate….” he whispered, closing his eyes. If you still weren’t in hell, he would have to wait for you.
“ But you don’t like it…Why?”
“It tastes…like my wife…” he said, opening his eyes slightly, looking at you. “ She…is sweet…” He slowly blinked and then he was given a hot chocolate.  He sat up with difficulties, his head spinning. He drank a bit of the drink and couldn’t help but cringe. How could you drink that…?
He then was given a glass of water he drank completely. He laid down once again and then felt a soft weight on his chest. He looked and smirked a little when he saw the plushie.
“ Eamon…” He took the plushie with a small smirk. He stroked the fur of the plushie before looking at you. “ You shouldn’t touch it, lady…” You asked him why, tilting your head. “ I cursed… my wife with it. We are bound… forever..” he gave you a boyish smile before falling asleep, Eamon in his hand.
He didn’t know how long he was out cold, but when he woke up he saw your hands moving toward him with your eyes and their purples hues, showing him you wanted to heal him.
“ Darling, don’t…”
You freezed when you saw Alastor’s gaze on you. His eyes were focused, conscious and he had his usual smile on his lips. He sat up slowly and you quickly helped him.
“ Alastor, do you recognize me ..?”
He nodded, kissing the back of the hand. He didn’t want you to be ill just because he kissed you.
“ I’m feeling better… Just tired and cold, but you don’t need to heal me…”
He smiled at you, reassuring you until your whole body relaxed. You kept taking care of Alastor until the next day, he was feeling way better.
The next morning, he smiled at you before going to work while you decided to stay at home to clean out the sheet and every tissue. He went to work, avoiding Victor’s questions and sat in his office. He looked around before concentrating on his shadow who was still guarding Alyzée. He looked around but nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary.
He freezed when he felt your presence not too far from the two women. He forced his shadow to look around, he knew soul was somewhere near. His shadow’s eyes fell toward a warm feeling, Alastor knew your soul was here. He wondered why you were here… His shadow then looked at a man who seemed to be looking at no one, but his stare was focused.
He was focused where he could feel your soul.

Could you do a story where a guard of a Supermax prison befriends a supervillain, because he treats him like a genuine human being instead of an animal; and later, all the power-dampeners suddenly fail; and all these villains just revolt against the guards; but supervillain makes sure he’s safe since he was always kind to him?
I understand if you don’t want to!!❤️
Hello! This has been sittin in my inbox for many months during my huge writing rut, sorry about that! I know you also gave this prompt to @the-modern-typewriter and she's been making an incredible series with it on patreon! I changed some things around because I don't want to in any way attempt some sad copy of her interpretation, but I was still inspired by the prompt itself, so I've taken some fairly big liberties to avoid any significant similarities! Hope that's okay! Also, please manage your expectations, I do not compare to the magic that is TMT's writing 😆
TW: Brief depictions of body horror. Violence.
The power blew out in sections. The lights dissolved sector by sector with a sickening whine and click–one by one–in approach.
The commotion ripped Eloise from the fictional world she was lost in, aged page corners still pinched beneath her thumb. Her spirited storytelling abruptly died behind her teeth.
Somewhere in the distance, one person shouted. Two.
Her gaze flicked behind them to the door isolating herself and the bound supervillain from the other sectors of the Maximum Security Prison for Powered Individuals or, as everyone called it, The Max. Seeing nothing but black beyond the bullet-proof glass, her attention snapped forward again to the supervillain imprisoned across from her.
Was this the start of some elaborate escape plan on his part? Why did it have to happen on a day that she was stuck fulfilling her community service hours instead of being something she could safely gawk at in the newspaper from a distance in a few days? Her stomach did a nauseated flip.
“What are you doing?” she blurted, voice quivering only a little. Her fingers tightened around her book.
The villain made a show of looking pointedly at his restraints. Wrists strung taut and chained to either wall, he shrugged an innocent shoulder at her as if to say “clearly, nothing.” He was perched on the edge of his bed like a bird, tilting his head with a matching sort of probing curiosity.
For all the chaos outside of the room, Artisan had not a hair out of place. He appeared perfectly unconcerned, though as thoroughly trapped as ever: ankles shackled, arms stretched uselessly apart from each other. The power-dampening collar wrapped around his neck still blipped a faint red light, indicating it was active.
The prisoners were rioting. Surely they couldn’t get too far? Containing the most dangerous of powered individuals was, after all, the express purpose of the facility…
The lights above them flickered, dipping the room in and out of inky darkness before settling into a dimly lit haze. Eloise’s breath stalled. The imposing dark felt like a threat, as if the lights could keep the monsters at bay. It only made a little sense, in the way that a child feels safe from the monsters under their bed as long as their nightlight is plugged in.
Except that these monsters were real. The most dangerous in the country. And she was currently feet away from the monster that made even other monsters run.
He hadn’t seemed so bad in the time that she’d known him. Quiet, impassive, yet twisting her gut with pity any time she eyed his barbaric restraints. The least she could do–while crossing off her hours–was to read the supervillain a story every few days. She couldn’t change his fate. Couldn’t make him more comfortable. What she could do was rattle off, sheepishly, about fictional worlds and impactful characters in literature and the way that a well-crafted story could transport you somewhere better.
A crash, gunshots, a scream. Tension racketed through Eloise’s shoulders. More shouts chased thundering footsteps.
Things were going very, very, wrong. And she was very much out of her depth.
Eloise jolted as something struck the door, her special-edition copy of Mary Shelly's Frankenstein falling to the ground and skidding away.
Finally, the lights cut out. With it, every noticeable piece of tech died. All of the energy felt sucked out of the room as if vacuumed. The camera’s blinking light disappeared. Alarms that should have been wailing cut silent. Speakers, keypads, and security systems, all dead. The secondary generator hadn’t sprung to life yet. That meant that this was more than a simple power outage. This was a calculated revolt.
Eloise’s mind raced through a list of everything else that must have been failing. Coms. Sedative gas. Shock collars. Layers and layers of security locks…
Power dampeners.
Panic clamped vice-like and suffocating around her throat. Artisan’s collar was no longer blinking.
She froze in the eerie silence of the cell, afraid of shattering the fragile calm. Her heart thumped, rabid, against her ribs.
Chains rattled and clinked to the floor.
Eloise bolted blindly for the door, smacking her palm against the DNA scanner while frantically swiping her “Volunteer Staff” badge through the card reader. When neither miraculously came to life, she resorted to banging on the door.
“Let me out, let me out! Guard!”
The door could only be opened by one person inside the cell and one outside simultaneously unlocking the security checkpoints. Even if the power were on, if the guard on the other side was gone…
The emergency floodlights kicked on, bathing the building in startling fluorescence. Eloise flinched, briefly stunned.
Hands grabbed her firmly from behind, yanking her backward.
Eloise yelped. “No, please–!”
The spot that she had been standing in exploded, steel door and concrete chunks collapsing into the room in a barrage of shrapnel. Something–no, someone–landed, bones crunching, at her feet. The guard who had last been standing on the opposite side of the door lay motionless. His blood puddled the floor, staining the soles of her Converse sneakers.
A horrified sound choked in Eloise’s throat.
Another supervillain strode in, eyes alight with hatred and something more–power. His lip curled, waving a mocking hand–engulfed in green energy–at the guard’s corpse. “God. I’ve wanted to do that for far too long. That one always got on my nerves.”
Artisan looked unimpressed. “You’re making a mess in my cell.”
Eloise’s breath caught. Hearing the supervillain’s voice was jarring. Artisan rarely spoke. Not that any of the other staff had ever actually attempted conversation with him… But even in news clips and YouTube videos, he carried himself with the kind of self-assured quiet of someone who had absolutely nothing to prove. His lethal efficiency did more for his reputation than any words could.
The other man was a villain named William Frenzy, a telekinetic with a gleeful taste for violence.
Faced with Artisan’s startling calm, Frenzy… paused. Faltering on a tight rope he had moments before been strolling across.
“Yes, well. It won’t have to be your cell much longer, will it? They can’t stop all of us.” He smirked at the dead body on the floor. “Some of them can’t even stop one of us.”
Eloise shrank back toward the corner nearest the door, agonizingly slow, willing the ugly shadows from the artificial lighting to swallow her up while the supers focused on each other. She was the kind of person that people tended not to notice; a background character in the perimeter of a story that the protagonist would meet once and never spare a thought again. She wished, then, that invisibility really was her superpower.
Artisan said nothing, his steely gaze fixed upon Frenzy.
Frenzy floundered beneath the scrutiny. The smugness buffered on his face. Finally, he huffed, crossing his arms. “I made you a nice and easy door out. You’re welcome.” He flicked a hand toward the gaping hole in the wall.
Eloise inched further toward it.
Artisan tutted, and while it wasn’t aimed at her, it shot a cold thrill up her spine. She froze, briefly, before continuing her tantalizing escape. She listened to Artisan speak again.
“I did not need anything from you. I’ll be getting out regardless. You on the other hand…”
Eloise stared as Frenzy’s skin shrank taut against his bones, the frame of him creaking and groaning like an old tree in the wind. The air choked out of him, fingers grabbing at his jaw as it stretched open too wide. The corners of his lips tore, slitting his mouth into a gaping maw.
The faintest of smiles graced Artisan's lips as he continued, soft as ever. “Say sorry.”
Eloise didn’t wait to see the carnage through, slipping out into the hall and running.
The other sectors were washed in the same sterile glow as Artisan’s cell was, blue-tinged and horrible, like the lights in a dentist's office. She kept to the edge of things as best she could, clinging to the walls and dark corners.
There was brawling in every sector—guards with weapons drawn mowed to the ground by the creatures they had wardened for so long. A villain fell as shots rang out. Another grabbed the guard from behind, cracking his skull against their knee.
The smell of blood stung Eloise’s nostrils. She couldn’t breathe, she couldn’t breathe.
She turned to flee down another hall, but two fighting inmates crashed into the doorway in front of her.
Eloise squealed, jerking backward into the belly of the room's chaos.
Don't notice me, don't notice me, don't notice me.
Everyone was so occupied by their chosen prey, maybe she could fade into the background. Maybe she could–
Her heel caught on something and she tumbled, gracelessly, to the floor. It took her several moments to register the lake of blood seeping warm and sticky into her clothing.
Terror blurred her brain in a white flash bang.
Disappear, disappear, disappear…
“Mm. What do we have here?”
Eloise couldn’t bring herself to lift her head. She clamped her eyes shut, another child’s illusion of protection.
The villain opposite her chuckled. He ripped her volunteer badge off of its clip against her chest. Her eyes snapped open again. She recognized him as a ringleader among superpowered thieves. They called him Volt.
“Volunteer, eh? A pretty thing like you should know better than to willingly set foot in a prison full of men with nothing left to lose. It’s been a long sentence, darling. I could make excellent use of your volunteer services. Get up.”
Numbly, ears full of static, Eloise shook her head.
Volt frowned, electricity jumping to life in his palms. “No?” He reached for her, hand nearing her throat.
“Keep your hands to yourself or I will remove them.”
Artisan’s voice was calm. His eyes were not.
The room quieted.
Spatters of red decorated Artisan’s prison uniform. A few drops dotted his face and he brushed them away with his knuckles, smearing the crimson across his cheek. Almost lazily, he popped his neck and stretched his shoulders, no doubt sore from the strain his restraints kept him in.
The villain across from Eloise paused, sparks still dancing across his fingertips. He regarded Artisan with the same wary caution as Frenzy had.
Before he'd been… Before Artisan had…
Eloise swallowed back the nausea climbing her throat.
Finally, Volt’s hand lowered. “She's yours?”
“She's hers. Step away.”
The man hesitated a moment too long. Artisan didn't offer a second warning.
As if puppeted, the man's fingers raised to gauge at his own eyes. He screamed, the faint evidence of Artisan’s power shimmering over him. He clawed, next, at the skin on his face, peeling it back like wet wallpaper.
As promised, his wrists crunched and bent, wrenching all on their own at impossible angles.
Eloise covered her ears, unable to bear the screaming. She felt sick.
“Stop,” she whispered finally. “Please.”
It did. The man collapsed into a sobbing, bloodied heap.
When Eloise managed to look at Artisan, she startled to find his attention fixed on her.
They stared at each other for a stretch of silence that itched. She imagined being forced to choke on her own lungs, or her skull constricting in on itself until it squashed her brain into pulp. For being so bold as to run, he might snap her legs and reaffix them the wrong direction, or splinter her bones to poke, grotesque, out of her skin. They always did say that his victims were his personal works of art, bodies twisted into shells of monsters.
He crooked a finger, beckoning her.
The edges of her vision swooped fuzzy and vertiginous. She rose onto wobbly knees and pushed herself to her feet. When she swayed, Artisan caught her elbow, slipping an arm around her waist to lead her forward.
He did not look back at the others, with complete confidence that no one would challenge him.
No one did.
Eloise was barely aware of taking one step after another. When they arrived back in the villain’s cell, the bodies of Frenzy and the dead guard, thankfully, were gone, though the floor was streaked with the drag lines of their blood.
She wrenched her gaze away.
Artisan’s hand moved further down her arm to her wrist, gesturing that she sit on his bed. When she shifted to do so, his grip tightened, tugging her to a stop. She frozen and tried to read his face.
His dark brows were furrowed, suspicious eyes flicking from hers down to her hand.
He pulled down her sleeve and held her wrist up between them, revealing the power-blocking cuff clamped around it. His head cocked. He waited.
Eloise swallowed. “I’m not a super. I mean- not a super-super. Just a…..no one.”
“A no-one who volunteers at The Max? With a power-dampener?”
“They’re terms of my probation,” she blurted. “A thousand hours of community service here and a power-inhibitor for a year. I think they put me here to threaten me with where I could end up if I continue on like… Um…”
“Me.”
“A villain,” she clarified, as if that was better.
Her gaze flitted from the fingers wrapped around her wrist and up to the villain’s face again. The harsh lighting haloed him, dimly silhouetting his face. He looked haunting. He looked lovely. A beautiful house, old and creaking, wrapped in ghosts like a bride’s veil and left to rot.
“What did you do?”
“I…” Eloise felt very small. “I lied about being powered on my documents. So that they wouldn’t put me on the registry. When they found me out, I tried to run away.”
Artisan’s scrutiny burned her cheeks. He let go of her wrist.
“...What can you do?”
“Nothing special,” she said, cradling her wrist–wholly uninjured as it was–in her other hand. “It doesn’t even work most of the time. My power is sort of…blending in. Going unnoticed. When it’s working, I could stand in a the White House and people’s attention would glide over me as if I belonged there. Not quite invisible, but… It just tricks your brain into not thinking twice.”
Artisan’s eyes narrowed.
Eloise flinched back a step, stumbling back over her fallen book onto the bed. She stared at him.
“I’m not going to hurt you.”
Some of the tension eased from her shoulders, but she still waited for the catch. “Why aren’t you out there with the rest of them? Trying to escape?”
The villain considered her for a long moment. He sat down beside her, and the hard cot creaked beneath his weight. “Mm. That’s just it. No one inside the prison could have blown the power-dampeners. They require someone with powers to turn them off or on, and the security is impenetrable. My team has tried. Besides, if this was a simple power outage, the inhibitors would still be on. But they’re not. This was premeditated–and no one imprisoned here could have done it. No one on the outside could have done it. So. Process of elimination. Who’s left?”
That was the most Eloise had ever heard Artisan speak, and she could only sit and listen intently–As he had when she’d read him stories. Her brain whirred in a jumbled jigsaw of puzzle pieces.
“It… It could only be an inside job.” She wet her lips. “The heroes- The higher-ups- They want the prisoners to break out so that they can kill them. A clean massacre. Justified under the law. The world’s most dangerous criminals could never be allowed to escape…”
Artisan smiled and it swirled something in her insides. “A convenient way to get rid of all of the pesky criminals clogging up the system. I’d bet anything that there are 50 snipers surrounding the building, waiting to slaughter anyone who steps foot outside.”
“Oh.”
“Oh,” Artisan agreed, his smile easing into something softer; something with less feral teeth.
“Thank you for helping me,” Eloise whispered. “What do we do now?”
Artisan hummed. He bent down and swept up her book, dropping it into her lap. He laid back against his pillow and crossed his arms behind his head. The bloodspots on his skin and clothes glittered in the lowlight.
“Keep reading. I want to know how it ends.”

CARE FOR YOU -Lewis Hamilton
Summary: Lewis helps you through a horrible shark week.
Warning:period,blood,fluff,cramps, crying,pain.
A/N: this is my first time writing an actual one shot. Not proof read
Requests are open !
Tumblr media
As soon as you woke up in the morning you knew it was going to be a shitty day. You could literally feel the blood. You clean up yourself, change the sheets and go to have your breakfast as usual. Lewis had left early for a team meeting but would be back before lunch.
As soon as you go to make yourself breakfast you feel a sharp pain in your stomach indicating your periods is going to be horrible this month. But the pain wouldn't go down you don't think you can hold anything down in your stomach. You just get a protein shake from the fridge (courtesy of lewis) and go to your bedroom to wallow in pain.
As time passed by the pain just got worse now it was only the cramps but every single joint in your body was aching. You couldn't even get up to take some painkillers. You literally started crying. Roscoe cuddled up to you feeling your discomfort. That is how Lewis found you.
Lewis was back home and immediately noticed something was wrong as the house was quiet way too quiet. "Love, I am home" He called out to you but no response. He went towards the bedroom and finally saw you. You were whimpering in pain and Roscoe was doing the best he can to ease your pain. He immediately came up to you "Hey love, what's wrong?"
You couldn't even answer you just whimpered and pointed towards the calender. Then it clicked Lewis it was your time of the month. "Is it real bad this time ?" You just nodded. He immediately kissed your forehead and got to work he noticed the shake bottle by your bed and realised you haven't eaten since morning.
He immediately gets a few of your favourite fruits, water bottles, heat pack and a painkiller. He comes back and feeds you the fruits even if it takes some convincing. He then makes you take a painkillers.
He finally lays by your side with Roscoe on your other side and cuddles you. His one hand holding a heat pack near you stomach. "Thank you for everything" you said. He just smiled at you and replies "No need to thank me love anything for my girl"
"I love you lew" you said sleepily
"Love you too baby girl, go to sleep I will be right here when u wake up" He replied smiling to himself at how peaceful you look.
Lemme know how was it !

Forgive the rant, but it's been weighing heavy on my heart. So much of the speculation of the Lady Whistledown reveal is the nail biting of 'Oh, I hope it's not too bad for Pen!' or justifying how her actions as LW actually weren't that bad in hopes to minimize the fallout
But there seems to be so little care to the fact that Penelope hiding it from him is going to break Colin's heart.
He is so elated to be with Penelope because he feels like this is the one person he can truly unmask with, that he can reveal all his cards to, and be accepted, and he is going to realize that is a one sided feeling in his relationship. Not only did Penelope feel she couldn't unmask in the past, but she feels she cannot do so even after their engagement. Even after he has reassured her of how much he cares for her and how much he trusts her.
I know everyone wants to skip over the angst of it and get to the 'oh look, they're so happy in love!' but y'all
Penelope is going to hurt him. He put his heart in her hands and she's going to crush it. He's going to have to look in the eye the fact that she didn't trust him enough to inform him of this very large part of her life, and he's going to understand that she kept it from him purposefully. Yes, she has her reasons, but like. . .that's painful. It's a slap in the face. Is it fully understandable her not telling him right after he asks? Or before? Of course! A lot happened! She had the most intimate experience of her life in the back of that carriage, and she'd gone through a lot of ups and downs that night, but after that excitement simmered and she had a chance to breathe, she should have told him.
But she doesn't.
Worse, she decides he simply doesn't have to know.
The fact that Eloise has to put an ultimatum on it at all is proof of that. Colin is falling in love with half of Penelope, and she's making it so that he does so on purpose. She is actively hiding half of herself from his eyes, and regardless of reason, when one party of the relationship is open and vulnerable, and the other is secretive, the secretive party is doing their partner a disservice.
Right now the person who has poured the work into the relationship is Colin. He has confessed his feelings first, he made all the big moves, he openly declared his interest in her, he proposed, he proved to her that he finds her desirable, he has hit every single love language in the BOOK. He's said repeatedly how wonderful she is, he's given her an engagement ring, bought them a house, he's chased down her carriage, he asked for those lessons to spend more time with her, he's had physical touch aplenty.
But I feel like so much of us as an audience are riding on the fact that we know Penelope has pined for Colin for a long time, and not understanding that Colin does not know that. And even if he does, she has not shown him that she loves him.
And I need to see Penelope pour into him an equitable amount as he's poured into her. They're both two people who embody 'I want to be so full of love, I forget what it's like to be hungry', and we forget that both of them have been denied affection. This fandom sympathizes the most with Penelope to the point where we don't want to see that Colin has also been pushed to the wayside. This man is starving for love and romance. Not just to love, but also to be loved.
People forget that Colin has been denied affection from his family, from his sexual experiences, even from Penelope. She didn't write back to him the same way his siblings didn't. Colin has been disparaged in his household, too. He's been made to feel like a burden, like he has no right to family funds, hell, he was all but called a pathetic virgin in Season 1 by his own brother, the head of his household, and his mum and Daphne and Anthony all assumed that he needed his messes cleaned up for him and he says aloud no one takes him seriously.
I want to see Colin be loved. I need to see it.
It's not a scorecard, I get that, but if you look at it objectively, Colin has done so much in his relationship with Pen, and she's lying to him. She's keeping from him a secret that reinforces what others have said of him: that he's gullible, naive, too trusting, someone that needs his muck ups solved for him, just a foolish boy caught up in his fantasies. And when the truth of Penelope's deception comes out, and he's going to question if all those people were right all along, and questioning his trust in himself (because, mind, this is the second woman who has said she loves him and has been keeping a huge secret from him, if that happened to me, I'd be closing my heart off for a very long time), he's going to need her to mend the wound that she'll pry open.
Colin said a hurtful thing about Penelope in Season 2, and then spent Part 1 of Season 3 soothing the pain that caused her. Now, Penelope is doing a hurtful thing to Colin, and she will have to heal that hurt, too. He is a tender, soft-hearted person who trusts her completely, and is falling arse over elbow for her, only to then get tripped up on her own web of wires and do a barrel roll in the dirt. And I know they'll choose each other, I know.
But after she helps him up, I need to see Penelope romance Mr. Bridgerton, assuredly, fervently, loudly.
Because he deserves to be.

The Kate Winslet article you just posted made me finally go ahead and send you this ask. I don't think your David/Michael theories are very likely, just lurking for the drama. But it's absolutely hilarious how the naysayers point to the positive reception of Aziraphale/Crowley and use this as proof that David and Michael are happily partnered. Their logic is if they really wanted to be with each other then there would be no pushback from gay-friendly Hollywood.
But uh. David and Michael are well-known mainstream actors from way before Good Omens and the fandom doesn't represent media consumers in general. Do people not remember the massive uproar from the sizable religious-nuts contingent after Good Omens Season 1 dropped? Remember how casual cishet viewers in general insisted Aziraphale and Crowley being more than friends would be icky? Doctor Who fandom is STILL full of dudebro DT fans who acted like whiny pissbabies over Fourteen. Scifi incels and nostalgic boomers are probably a huge chunk of DW watchers!
I was into The Hobbit for a while. Personally I'm remembering Lee Pace and how he was forcibly outed because his orientation was seen as scandalous. Famous actor, gay-friendly Hobbit fandom, still made to feel small and dirty for his sexuality. Richard Armitage was closeted for years. Then there was the whole Ian McKellan outing his fellow actors thing. Ok, if media is so gay-friendly and the only reason Michael and David would get pushback is because they were cheating, why wouldn't they just use a narrative of "we didn't know about our sexuality until later in life and it's not our partners' faults, we're sorry?"
I'm not gonna deny that they probably have real love or at least genuine feelings for their partners. I just think the argument that there's nothing holding them back from being together if they really want to, therefore they don't want to, is full of plotholes.
Thanks for this, anon, that’s a lot of really good information. Even if you’re here only for the drama ;)
I will just add to it that both men spoke about the struggles they faced growing up too. Michael just very recently how he wouldn’t dare anything in 80s Port Talbot. David was in tears on his podcast, and also spoke about being called names. A lot of David’s podcasts were focused on coming outs where he was asking if it was worth it. Michael tweeted about being possibly outed by the Queen, asking if she has radical gay politics, talked about his first crush - who was a man - and how he processed it. Three times he mentioned him. Didn’t Anna RT a pic of him saying he’s bi (photoshop) and he liked it too? A man married/partnered to a woman doesn’t mean he is straight. And these men grew up in completely different environment than today and entertainment industry still has deep issues.
There are so many things that can be discussed and people can agree or disagree on, but suggesting that basically homophobia etc doesn’t exist is… so uneducated. How ignorant does a person need to be to everything that is happening around them to suggest nothing stops people from coming out and being themselves? That backlash doesn’t exist?
Sometimes, instead of shouting nonsense into the void, it is worth doing research and reading books.

CARS ! [HCs]
Multiple × GN!Reader
[!] A.U. — Cat / Them as Cats !
∆ Fluff, PLATONIC, NO ROMANCE, pet & owner dynamic, OOC[?], slight hint of injuries[reader, Chigi's part], mention of overworking, no cat breed description because I'm lacking in cat knowledge, grammar & spelling errors[? NOT proofed] I have no idea what um doing this is just a word vomit
FT.: Chigiri Hoyama, Niko Ikki, Kunigami Rensuke, Nagi Seishiro . . . . Check this post ! [Cat!Isagi art]
NOTE: um, I'm alive.
NOTE2: I got a little excited in Niko's part, guess my favorite guys !! So not obvious.. :3
[ starting . . . ]
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Tumblr media
CHIGIRI would be very much the type of cat to stare at you and slowly push something off the table.
Does not care + sassy.
But if he broke something important, he'd feel bad and try to maintain distance from the things after the incident for a short period of time. Would let you scold him in that scenario.
Other than that… Threats you with breaking your important objects if you neglect him for too long[he won't break it but it's so he’ll get your attention]
Would be THE cleanest cat you’d ever seen. Grooms himself often, you don't have to worry if he has any tics or anything.
For that, Chigiri is a very handsome cat.
10/10 fur, soft fur, pretty feline eyes, in good shape, has a way with things..
Even though being clean, he forgets to clean after himself.
Balls of fur laying around the house.
Talking about fur; he doesn't let anyone touch him — at least anyone who isn't his owner and other cats he’s friendly to.
He was cautious of letting you touch him the first time you adopted him. Hissing and not hesitant to show his claws.
But after some while, Chigiri started to let you near him more often after gaining his trust.
Agile. You cannot catch that cat on your own and with a group of 5 people.
Purrs slightly when he gets a compliment of his speed.
Chigiri has his monthly check in with his leg, poor thing is used to it although seeming to dislike it.
He just accepts his fate and takes it.
If there's visits, Chigiri is not paying one ounce of attention to them.
Dodges everybody and sits prettily on your lap. Asking for the daily dose of affection before running off to some corner until the guests leave.
That thing is shameless when he wants to.
If you're overworking too much, he'd threaten you by pushing your mug off the table.
Distracts you to waste your energy, so you can get your rest.
I feel like he’s very subtle with affection sometimes. But stills make big moves of showing his endearment for you.
If ever having the scenario of gaining a lifetime injury that can disabilitate you — he'd be by your side in those dark times of distress.
.
Tumblr media
SHY SHY SHY
Too timid for his own good — NIKO takes the longest to warm up to you.
Does NOT let anyone touch him. Even you had trouble with approaching the small black ball of fur.
Seems cautious of anyone who tries to pet him near his head. You're worried his fur will irritate his eyes, but he seems to prefer it like that.
He’s used to the fur covering 90% of his vision. But not used to you grabbing his face(gently) and smashing his little face, spilling words of how cute and beautiful his eyes are.
Guests? No Niko in sight for the next hours till they leave.
Where can you find him? In your bedroom, under your bed or near your manga shelfs he somehow seems fascinated with.
Adores plotting next to you and “watching” TV when you're playing some anime series. You doubt he understands a word they're saying but he seems transfixed on it anyways — so you just let him be.
Was weirdly quiet after the day you bawled your eyes out watching Banana Fish.
Rarely initiate some type of affection. But when it does happen, Niko is so cute. Just a tiny ball of black fur on your lap, purring under your touch.
Has a hushed purr. Cannot hear the feline almost all the time, but you can tell he is enjoying being pampered.
Loves being massaged and just being taken care of, just make sure to straighten his fur when you finish.
Fluffy tail.
Grooms quite often, you don't really have to worry about him being dirty or leaving a mess behind(different from chigi-)
Gets all awkward when you pamper him — doesn't know where to look at and just funbles around with his paws shyly.
Only lets you pet him, but Niko looks like he has mixed feelings about you muffling his fur.
The first time you tried to introduce Niko to other cats, it was a mess. It started out slow, but stuff got heated. Other cats are too intimidating for him. Being the youngest and one of the shyest are difficult in this situation.
After a lot of persuading, he finally found somewhat of a group he could be in. 5 other cats that was a weird combination but it worked.
You're proud of your little companion for becoming more and more bolder.
It’s supper on the spot when hunting a bug. Calculated and on aim, if missed, Niko knows it’s next move. It’s like a way of repaying for taking care of him.
Not a big fan of vet, quieter than usual but he doesn't make a fuss about it.
If he senses you're upset or in distress… he’s clueless. Bro has no experience in that at ALL.
But one can try, and he's in for making you feel at least slightly better. Why not give his best purrs while he allows himself to curl up next to your sulking form on bed? Flap his ears gently against your arm to tickle you a little? Rub his small ball of fur of a head on you as a green light to slip your worries out even if he can't do anything about it?
.
Tumblr media
Protective baby.
So protective, safest kitty to be around.
KUNIGAMI is surprisingly calm and collected for a cat so damn big.
This feline is huge, almost like a dog. It’s a whole workout to just pick him up.
Loves walks, really does — or just overall being active in activities. Easily mistaken by a dog when he so excitedly wakes you up for the morning walk.
Specially muscular for a cat but it's not a surprise for his size. It’s hell if you want to guide him or when he just pops himself on top of you. It pretty much… crushes your lungs.
It doesn't take much to approach him — warming up to him is a different story. You have to be a good soul for him to acknowledge you. Good vibes and someone who surprises him in a way can already be accepted by him.
Social but on the quiet side. Will not complain if you put him in a room with other cats, and gets along pretty well.
He is MESSY. Balls of fur here and there, he can accidentally make some things fly off the corner and he won't even notice.
Feels bad for making you have to clean up, so he plays a role in taking care of the house when you're out.
Guard cat frfr.
A good boy — lot of energy too. Loves engaging with you. Type of cat to linger around where you go, not too far but not too close. Kunigami just.. there.
Has a lot of fur, it’s a miracle he’s so clean with so much fur.
Often intimidating, despite being friendly. Other cats are weary of his size. And Kunigami does know how to put up a fight — a big fight by the way. You learned that in the hard way when he encountered a blond cat with lashes and exotic eyes.
Indifferent about the vet, he just accepts it and gets over with him.
Protective. Did I mention that? Legit takes the role of protecting his home seriously. This includes his owner. If a guest looks too out of place or a stranger is pushing things on you, Kinigami’s hissing and glued to your side.
When you took him in, the previous person that was in charge of him mentioned his two other siblings in his litter. You assume that's where his protective nature comes from.
Kunigami isn't blind to not notice how you're not taking care of yourself. Be drained because of work or study, this cat is going to drag you aside so you can rest.
Gives his best to be of any help when your mental state isn't in the best shape. He really just hopes for the best for you.
Get’s annoyed when you give him an “insult”(affectionly).
Shower him with compliments and he’ll get awkward. Loves it, but he is just too lost to do anything.
Hang outs with the red-pinkish cat and other two cats are his favorite hang outs.
.
Tumblr media
Sleeps 24/7 you bet he’s at the top of his life — he has never been so satisfied with this lifestyle, you bet NAGI prayed for this in his past life.
Gigantic, even bigger than Kunigami. Difference is; he doesn't do shit like Kunigami does.
But hey, don't judge him! He’s giving his best… and gives up(as if he cared in the first place).
Fur all over your house. In your clothes, couch, bed, everything. And he didn't even bother to clean up.
Definition of ball of fur, but add messy to the mixture.
The only effort you'd ever see him make is chase the sun on your floor to lay down and sleep.
Okay jokes aside; he is somehow active, just not often.
Nagi got one if not the best reflexes you’ll ever see in the body of a cat this huge and lazy. Good with limbs and manipulating whatever object that calls his attention enough.
Surprisingly good at running, you'd never guess it if it wasn't for a black cat that’s X3 smaller than him. It rarely happens, but you still have to keep an eye on them or else things might escalate.
Gives absolute no fuck to guests, if he wants your attention he will get it. But if he has a choice of where to be when guests are in, he’ll be buried in the best place on earth: your bed.
HATES vets. Hides and actively avoids you when the date comes. Good luck being able to drag him because he's heavy.
Bathing or grooming him is pretty easy, just tiring as heck for his size and how much fur he has
Looks like a wet rat when you bathe him.
Letting Nagi out in the wild is safe. You know he won’t go too far either, he just lingers and if he does go out; he always comes back somehow.
Nothing serious; he just surprised the living soul out of you when he came back with a rich purple cat trailing behind him.
Loves getting pets from you. If it’s from another someone that’s not special to him, he doesn't care then.
Purrs rather loudly, but it’s very muffled and low.
It's 9/10 chances you’ll wake up having difficulties breathing because the cat is either being your personal scarf or laying across your chest. He won't budge, so just try to flip over if you can.
Funny habit is that he’ll go for affection and then disappear, reappear, and repeat. He does like being alone after all.
Like the other cats on this list; bro actually has NO clue of what to do when you're down.
“It's so bothersome”… but he knows he can't be like this. Nagi comes to be a little more active, being to call your attention or just to get you to understand he's there.
Nagi actually has a clue of what is happening, he just has to be put in the right mind to get his gears running.

Request: Reader waking up Tiffany on her birthday by going down on her. Thanks🙏
It took me ages, but I am slowly getting back to my old reqs. Thank you for waiting, baby! 💖💖 hope ya'll like it
cw: somnophilia, oral sex, cursing, humping, stablished relantionship, not really proof read, no mommy kink this time for once;
You were planning this little surprise for a few weeks now. You took Tifanny for a little weekend trip for her birthday, only the two of you in a cabin in the woods away from people, her fans, away from job duties, anything that would exhaust her more on such special occasion.
The night before you had a great time; you ate nice food and drank two bottles of wine. It was perfect.
Actually, almost perfect, since you two got so drunk your attempt to have sex went south because you two literally fell asleep naked in each others arms without even begining the act itself.
You woke up first, looking around, your head throbbed a bit but iit was manageable; your eyes scanned the room and there she was. Her ever so perfect hair a bit messy on her face, her eyes closed in a deep slumber, her lips slightly apart. You heart skipped a beat. You smiled, trying to recall the last time you saw her so disheveled.
Slowly you sat down, pulling the covers on the way, smiling again as you remembered the last night failed sex. You two were completely naked. You shivered. The thought of taking her like that went through your mind like a lightning, quickly arousing you.
"Would it be a good present?" You talked to yourself, you little mischievous thought only growing as your neediness grew as well.
Your gaze traveled around her naked form; her perky tits and slightly muscled abdomen, her milky thighs and the little bush of hair on her pretty pussy. Your mouth wattered. The need of drinking her sweet juices while she was in such state of vulnerability made yourself throb.
Slowly you crawled by her knees, lightly pushing her legs apart so she wouldn't notice you just yet; laying on your stomach you bit your lip when you faced her pussy. It looked so pretty from this close you always got a bit shocked.
Positioning yourself closer, you inhaled her scent, whimpering; you put your tongue out, licking just the tip of her hooded clit, that action eliciting goosebumps on your skin and in hers too. You hugged her legs in a lighter way to better angle your face and did it again, this time not only licking but attatching yourself on it to suck.
You watched her stir just a bit, thankfully she was a heavy sleeper and the wine also had a part on the job of keeping her knocked out.
You felt her slit drip a bit of her arousal onto your chin and her nipples get slightly hard, your pussy throbbed in response as you humped the mattress, feeling your own arousal slick through your folds.
Gathering her slick on your tongue you hummed against her core upon tasting that divine flavour, unconsciously closing your eyes in approval. You were so lost in her that you didn't even aknowledged her eyes open and her gaze fixated on your face.
Tiffany bit her lip trying to suppress a moan in order not to startle you. Her body jolted forward when you gave her a particularly hard lick and her hand instinctively found your hair.
"Fuck baby" Her voice sounded hoarse from sleep and you smiled against her sensitive clit, still attached to it as if your life depended on it. "Such a good girl" She caressed your hair, tossing her head back a bit.
She held your head a bit closer, moaning just a little higher; you felt how she was getting wetter by the second, your chin coated in her juices. You closed your eyes, rubbing your tongue on her pussy up and down, not stopping for anything except her command. But she wouldn't stop too, she wouldn't dare to lose that contact. Not when her pretty girl made her feel so good, so satisfied.
"Don't stop b-baby, I'm almost there" Tiff said in a shaky breath, her legs slitghly trembling. "You do me so good, darling" You rolled your eyes upon hearing her say that in that lustful tone.
You lost count of how many minutes you spent sucking her off with your whole might, humping the matress as if you were her little pet in heat.
"I am gonna cum all over your face baby" She held your head in place, forcing your mouth against her core. Cursing, moaning, in the wildest of ways. Her juices gushed in your face and you made sure to collect all of it, your own orgasm hitting you blindly hard.
It took you a while to stop sucking her off, your own dizzy state taking over your body as she praised you again and again, caressing your head.
When you finally stopped what you were doing, she was shaking harder than you ever saw her do it, pulling you for a deep passionate kiss.
"Happy birthday, Tiff" You said a bit out of breath.
"Happy birthday to me, my darling" She answered against your lips, kissing them again.

**First Act**
_________________________________
The day was coming to an end. Noa was returning home with a successful hunt. He and his friends had managed to catch a pair of rabbits and a adult deer, earning them a warm welcome.
The situation was difficult for the village. Since his father had died, he and his mother were the only hope for their survival. They had to lead the rest to survive, and that was his duty as the new leader of the village.
"Well done, son," his mother said.
Noa sat down beside his mother, hugging her and offering her a piece of food, which she refused.
Their happiness was interrupted by some apes who arrived running and shouting.
"It's an Echo! We've seen one near here!"
Noa managed to understand what one of them was saying.
"Calm down," Noa said, standing up and addressing them. "It's probably just passing through. Echos usually move when it starts to get cold."
"This one is different. We've heard it talk! It was settling near the village."
Another ape spoke up, frightened.
"Don't worry, it won't hurt us."
"You don't understand. Echos are evil, the farther away from us, the better."
"If that means underground, even better."
"Yes!"
Many of the apes supported the idea of killing the Echo.
"We can't act impulsively. We need to think with a clear head."
Noa defended the idea of reaching a consensus.
"You're our leader. You must defend our home from those things!"
The ape began to feel the pressure from his village. Everyone wanted to see how the new leader would handle a dangerous situation.
"Fine! I'll take care of it myself." Noa didn't like the idea, but he said, "Tomorrow, I'll go to where you saw it and bring back proof that the Echo is no longer a problem."
Noa received a big ovation, but he couldn't take his eyes off his mother, who disapproved of his attitude.

**Second Act**
_________________________________
Anaya and Soona, Noa's best friends, were already ready to go after the Echo. They were determined to accompany their leader, not just as friends, but as family.
The plan was to approach the Echo on foot, without horses, so as not to scare it, and kill it with the arrows they used for hunting. But Noa had taken something else from the village - a remedy that they took when they felt pain, in case he couldn't bear the scene, he would give it to the Echo himself.
It would have been just another Echo, but the idea of being able to hear one talk for the first time had haunted him all night. What if he could talk to it? What if it could defend itself by talking? What set them apart from animals if they couldn't talk?
But his village needed him. They had never encountered an Echo like this before, and it was a danger to his people. It was written that way.
When they were far enough from the village, Noa turned to his friends, stopping them.
"I have to go alone from here."
"What? No, we're not going to leave you." Soona approached him, grabbing his hands.
"Soona, I have to do this alone. I'm the leader now, and I have to be responsible for my words and my responsibilities towards our people. And one of those responsibilities is taking care of you too."
"I don't care about your position. We also want to take care of you."
Anaya joined the two, and they ended up in a three-way hug.
"I'm sure I can handle this. But I need to do it alone." He finally convinced them.
Anaya and Soona walked away, and he began to walk forward. He didn't look back, it would be easier to fulfill his responsibility alone and as the leader he had to be.

**Third Act**
_________________________________
He could observe her easily. She didn't seem to have seen him, and she continued with her life as usual. She walked back and forth, going to and from the river near the home she had built.
She was very resourceful. With the help of stones, branches, sticks, and leaves, she had built a kind of settlement near the river. She had everything she needed to survive just a few steps away.
Noa couldn't help but analyze her. From her physical features to her delicate movements. What she seemed to be doing was cooking with leaves and fruits he couldn't recognize.
They had warned him that this Echo was not normal. If she could talk, it was already very different from the ones he had encountered before, but he had never imagined what he had in front of him. If it weren't for her small body, little hair, small eyes, small hands, small waist, the bulge on her chest, and small feet, he could have sworn he was looking at an ape.
But he had to push those thoughts out of his mind. He had come to kill her, and he had already wasted too much time analyzing her.
He raised his bow and placed the arrow right at the Echo's heart direction. His hands were shaking. It was the first time they had shaken like that. He had to admit, this wasn't a normal hunt. He wasn't going to kill her out of necessity, nor did he need her skin or any part of her body. He was going to kill her because he feared her. Not just him, but his people. And that had to be his thought, his people were waiting for him to bring back proof of the event.
His vision became blurry as his heart began to beat strongly, he couldn't look. He released the arrow without being able to see well where it was headed.
"Ah!"
He heard the Echo's despairing cry.

Noa found himself in front of the Echo. His blurry vision and sweaty hands hadn't allowed him to hit his target. His main objective was the Echo's heart, but due to his nerves, the arrow had ended up hitting one of her sides.
She looked at him with open, frightened eyes, trembling while she held her side. She had pulled out the arrow and was trying to stop the bleeding.
Noa could have stood there, watching her die from bleeding, but he couldn't help but approach her and offer her a piece of cloth from his own arm to stop the bleeding.
The human looked at him doubtfully, taking the cloth.
"Why?"
He didn't know what to answer. Why had he attacked her? Why was he helping her? Because his heart was in constant struggle over what was right against his mind.
Echos had to be kept away. They wouldn't approach them, and they wouldn't live with them. Beyond the Valley was forbidden to cross because Echos were there.
The elders of his clan described them as monsters that killed each other, creatures that took everything around them and massacred it. Wild animals that would kill their own siblings for power.
But in front of Noa, he saw a smaller creature than him, harmless, and not having harmed them, alone, and with no signs of damage to nature around her. Not even signs of fires or dead animals.
Noa crouched down beside the human and covered her wound, helping her stop the bleeding.
"I don't know why. Neither do I."

Noa had decided to move the unconscious Echo to the nest of leaves covered by a roof of branches. At least there, she would be comfortable and covered in case the sun bothered her or it rained. But he had to go back to the village, he had to go back to Anaya and Soona, because if he took too long, he was sure they would come to see what had happened to him, and that wouldn't be good.
He had to do it quickly. Kill the nearest animal he could find, so he would have something to feed the Echo when she woke up, but also use a significant part of it to show in his village, her heart.
A hare had been the sacrifice for his plan, he didn't have time to go for a bigger animal, and with the hare's heart, he was sure his village would calm down.
He took long strides, quickly, so as not to take too long. Right where he had left them, Anaya and Soona were waiting for him. They ran to hug him and looked at what he was carrying.
"Did you do it?" Soona asked, stepping back from the hug.
"Yes."
He was lying. He was lying to his friends for an Echo. But he didn't have another choice.
In the village, they received him as the leader he was. With hugs and praise towards him. He couldn't bear the weight on his chest. He was lying to everyone.
"Son, are you okay?" His mother was the only one who could feel something in him, and she didn't take long to approach him and ask questions.
"Yes, why wouldn't I be? We've gotten rid of that Echo! Isn't that right?"
"Because it's the first time you're acting like the leader of the clan." His mother hugged him. "I know it's hard, going against your ideals to follow the clan's ideals. No one asks if you're okay when you come back, they just receive you as the leader."
"I'm fine, mom."
She was the only one who could discover everything if she noticed his strange behavior. So he had to act normally... how was he supposed to act normally after supposedly killing an Echo that hadn't done anything to them?

That same morning, Noa had gone back to where the Echo was. He expected to find her where he had left her, but he was surprised to see her standing, trembling, by the riverbank.
"Hey, you shouldn't be there."
She jumped back, trying to get away from him.
"It's okay, I'm here to help you."
"You're the one who hurt me."
Well, he couldn't deny that.
"I'm sorry. Please, let me help you."
"H-how can you apologize for something like that?"
She had started to breathe with difficulty, holding her wound.
"Sh, it's okay. We'll talk when you're cured."
Noa held her wound again, seeing how it was still humid, and proceeded to clean it, forcing her to lie down on the nest.
The ape had brought new bandages in case he needed to change them, so he proceeded to change them.
"I'm sorry. I didn't want to hurt you."
"It's hard to believe. Did you think I was livestock or something?"
"No, my village is scared of you, and they wanted me to kill you."
"And, why didn't you?"
Noa continued to change the bandages, unable to look her in the eye.
"I don't know. I didn't want to kill you personally, without knowing you. But it's my duty as the leader."
That information silenced the human. She grabbed his hand with the one he was using to clean her.
"Well, as the leader, stop. You've done your duty, you've tried to kill me, give them that information, and I'll run away from here. That way, you can say I escaped."
Noa shook his head, turning his hand to hold hers.
"No, you're already dead to them."

Noa had been going back and forth from the village to where Mae, the Echo, was for a week.
During the day, he took care of his leader duties, and at dawn, he would return to the human's nest, where he would cure her, feed her, and take care of her. In those moments, they would talk, forgetting about the ape's attempt to assassinate her. Mae had opened up completely to him.
A human who had lost her family recently and was trying to survive away from the rest of humans who had hurt her. He didn't understand how they had hurt her if she didn't have that physical aspect, only the wound he had inflicted on her. But she explained that the wounds those humans had inflicted on her were not visible on her body, but in her heart.
Noa felt like seeking out those humans and defending the human to make her feel better. But she told him she was already learning to forget them.
"The wound is much better."
He didn't like how she was healing so quickly. Mae would have to leave when she was fully cured, that had been their agreement, but he wasn't ready to say goodbye so soon.
"Yes, I can do things on my own now. You should rest more at night and not come to see me."
"I don't need to rest. I want to come see you."
"Noa..."
"What?"
The ape continued making the meal, actually watching how the fire was made.
"You know I've forgiven you. You don't have to keep feeling guilty. Forgive yourself too."
"I-I can't. I failed my village. But I also failed you. If only I had shot higher, you would be dead and I wouldn't have met you."
"But you're a good ape and didn't do it. If it had happened this way or that, it wouldn't exist anymore. The reality is that we've met."

That day, his mother wouldn't leave his side. She observed him closely without speaking, but that made him even more nervous.
"What? What's going on?"
He stopped in front of her.
"Son, you can lie to the whole world, but not to your mother."
"What do you mean?"
"Your nighttime escapes, the lack of sales, your fatigue during the day. Tell me, son. Where do you escape to?"
"Nowhere, mom. Just... I go climbing alone to relax and sleep."
"Yesterday, you slept very late, the sun had already risen. And you started talking in your sleep."
Noa averted his gaze so she couldn't keep reading him like that.
"Your dreams mentioned Mae's name."
"Oh, nonsense. I don't know anyone by that name."
He turned around, trying to ignore his mother's comments so as not to get more nervous.
"Son, do you sneak out at night to see Mae? Is she the Echo you didn't kill?"
"Mother! I don't know what you're talking about!"
"I've known you since you came out of me. Small, hairy, and noisy. Since you were very young, you showed that you weren't like the rest of the apes. You were very analytical and more intelligent than most. Your father knew that you took twice as long to think things through, just like your grandfather."
"Mom..."
"That's why I knew when they asked you to fulfill this responsibility that you would take your time to think it through and not do it, because you're a fair son of mine."
"Mom, I couldn't kill her. She hadn't done anything to us and lived peacefully alone by the river. She didn't pose any danger like the elders make us believe."
"I know, son. I know you very well."
His mother hugged him, and he took refuge in her arms. Taking a weight off his shoulders since he wasn't the only one who knew about Mae's existence.
And not just the two of them anymore. One of the aoes in charge of the birds had overheard their conversation, hiding from mother and son.

That morning, Noa found Mae packed and ready to leave, with her things in a backpack and the fire extinguished.
"Where are you going?"
"I have to leave now, Noa."
"What? No, why? You're still hurt. You can't leave yet."
"I'm not hurt anymore, Noa. You saved me."
"No, no, no, no."
Noa grabbed the girl's hands, trying to stop her.
"We knew this moment would come. I'm very grateful that you gave me the opportunity to meet you."
"No! It's the other way around. I tried to kill you and you forgave me, letting me into your life."
"That doesn't matter anymore, Noa."
"Yes, it does. I came here to kill you because I thought you were an animal, a monster, a beast. And I ended up realizing that the only beast here is me."
"Don't be so hard on yourself."
"I have to be. I can't forgive myself because if I do, I'll think I have a chance with you and it's not like that. I can't, n-no..."
Mae grabbed his cheeks, making him lean his forehead against hers, looking into his eyes.
"You're not a beast. You're my savior, but I have to leave so I don't cause you more problems."
Noa shook his head and leaned in to kiss the human, savoring the sweet taste of Mae's mouth.
They separated as they heard horses and apes cries.

Noa was startled. The only apes near the river were from his village. And it couldn't be, they didn't have any nighttime exploration planned.
"What's going on?"
"I don't know."
He turned to the human, grabbing her cheeks to make her look at him.
"Don't worry, you hide. I'll go see what's happening."
Mae looked towards something behind the ape's back, and he turned to see what had caught her attention, finding his friends.
"Noa."
The two apes ran to hug him.
"You don't know what's going on in the village. Maximo told them about the Echo and they're all coming to kill her."
Anaya explained quickly, without taking a breath.
"How did you know?"
"Why didn't you tell us?"
Soona responded with another question.
"I couldn't. She was in danger."
"We're your friends! We would have helped." -Soona raised her voice.-
"It's okay, guys. We'll discuss this later. Now we have to help the Echo." -Anaya turned to Mae.
"You have to distract them while I help her escape." -Noa grabbed Mae's hand.
"No!" -Soona refused.- "You're the clan leader, you have to give them explanations after what they found out. You have to be consistent."
The ape couldn't refuse. His friend was right.
"Mae." -he turned to her, grabbing her shoulders.- "You're going with Soona and Anaya, they'll help you."
"I'm staying with you." -Soona gave him her back as he said goodbye.-
He couldn't make her change her mind, as the apes were approaching.
"Echo. It's better if you get on my back and I'll run." -Anaya offered her back to Mae, and she got on without taking her eyes off Noa.-

The group of apes arrived, finding Noa and Soona together. Both apes were standing side by side, bearing the gaze of the rest.
"Where is she?"
"We know, Noa. The Echo is still alive."
"We have to kill her before she attacks us."
"She's a demon."
Several apes spoke at once.
"Silence!" -Noa shouted, making them all quiet.- "She's not a demon! We're the ones who pursued her and tried to kill her without harming us."
"She'll do it, it's written."
"The elders say so."
"The elders are wrong!" -Noa shouted again.- "And the laws are wrong!"
"Noa, step aside!"
Several apes approached violently. He couldn't let his clan lose respect for their leader.
As the leader of the eagle clan and respectful of his clan's ancient tradition, he began to sing. He still hadn't joined with any bird. Due to his father's death, he had decided to wait out of respect for the previous leader. But now... it was the only solution he could think of to regain his clan's respect.
He continued singing, and no eagle came.
"It doesn't work like that!"
"What eagle would want to join you after you betrayed us?"
The apes' voices enraged him. His voice rose above theirs, and a large eagle with a strong presence landed on his arm.
When Noa looked up, he was surprised to see the eagle Sun, his father's eagle. Known as the strongestin its nest and stubborn like his father. Everyone feared and respected it.

Most of the apes kneeled before Noa, who stood proudly, looking at the eagle on his arm.
"It can't be, the eagle Sun has finally chosen its new master."
"It can't be, Noa, he's a traitor."
"Maximo, stop talking like that about the clan leader. He's already proven with actions that we should trust him."
One ape began to defend him, and most of them joined in. Noa knew he had regained his title as leader.
"We can't forgive his lie!"
That ape, Maximo, ran forward. Noa saw his intention to go after Noa and Anaya, so he stood in front of him, growling.
"You're not going to pass!" -he shouted, making Maximo take a few steps back.- "The Echo is my responsibility." -Noa began to address everyone.- "If anyone has a problem with her, they should come to me and I'll resolve it."
Maximo walked away with his head down.
The rest of the a apes roached to congratulate him on his union with Sol, and Soona stepped aside, observing him. In the end, it hadn't been necessary to help him; he was the clan leader, and she regretted having doubted it.

The next morning, Noa met with Mae again. Anaya had told him the location where she had hidden her, in the cave where the three of them used to hide as children when they wanted to escape from their parents or play pranks.
Anaya had confided in Mae about the location, knowing how important it was to her friend Noa.
The ape and the human looked at each other intensely when they met. Mae was sitting on a rock, holding a piece of fruit, and had heard him enter. She was anxious to see him.
"Noa!" -she stood up, looking him up and down.- "Didn't they hurt you?"
"No, no, Mae." -Noa put his forehead against the human's, closing his eyes and breathing in her scent more closely.- "Y-you, are you okay?"
Mae let out a laugh.
"I'm fine. You faced your clan for... for me."
"Yes, for you. But I know that's not as scary as riding on Anaya's back and climbing up here with his rough scaling."
"Anaya took good care of me, you don't have to worry."
"I know."
Neither of them wanted to break the silence that followed. They hugged, feeling each other's skin so close. Mae's breath hit Noa's lips, and he couldn't resist anymore, leaning in to kiss her again, this time knowing every centimeter of her lips and mouth as he introduced his tongue.
"Noa."
Mae whispered the ape's name, and she pulled away, placing his lips on her cheek.
"You shouldn't kiss me like that. And I won't be able to leave if we keep doing this."
"Then don't leave. There's no need, no one wants you to leave. Come with me and live in my village, with my clan."
"No! Noa, I don't want to bring you more problems."
"You're not going to bring more problems." -Noa hugged her.- "Since I met you, you've brought nothing but joy and laughter and good thoughts to my life. You've made me happy, and I don't want to lose you."
"Okay."
Noa shouted happily, hugging the girl and lifting her up.
"You make me so happy, I love you!"
Mae looked into his eyes, unable to respond since she had lost her breath.
The human leaned in, kissing him again, this time with tenderness, and pulled away after a few seconds. As if her lips had given him strength and air to speak, she responded.
"I love you too."

**Final Act**
_________________________________
Mae moved in with them. The village had welcomed her with open arms when they saw her arrive with their leader.
Noa's mother received her literally in her arms, in a strong hug.
"Welcome."
The Echo, the beast everyone had feared, had found a place in everyone's heart. She had sought her place in the village and now fulfilled her responsibilities so that no one would ever have to take care of her again.
A certain leader wasn't very happy about it, since it meant they spent less time together, but he was happy seeing how everyone had learned to love her.
There was even a moment when he felt jealous of the attention she gave to the other apes.
Mae dedicated herself to healing and feeding the smaller or injured apes, or those who were lonely. This made her spend more time with others than with him. But he couldn't say anything, he had to fulfill his clan duties too.
At least he had the hope of ending the day and finding her in his nest again.
"Noa."
Mae sighed in his ear. Noa couldn't help but lie down next to the human and kiss her from her cheek to her neck. He had seen her sleeping already, but he missed her and needed to feel her in his arms.
He placed himself on top of her, lifting her clothes and pushing them aside. It wasn't the first time they had done it, but he had understood that those garments were important to cover the human's attributes. For the apes, it was rare to see those clothes, but Noa's ego grew when only he could see her like that.
Naked, trembling from his kisses and caresses, and so sensitive that she responded to every touch he gave her.
He introduced his virility, making her moan, making them both moan. His thrusts were quick and concise. That night, he needed to feel her with urgency. The desperation in his chest to make her reach climax and hear her scream his name.
"Noa!"
That scream and the contractions of the human's vagina around his penis made him come with a grunt.
"Mae, Mae."
He leaned on her, placing his elbows on both sides of Mae to avoid hurting her, and waited for his heart to calm down after coming.
"I love you."
He heard Mae.
"I love you too."
The ape responded before falling asleep next to her.
His life had taken a huge turn since the Echo, his Echo, had entered it. From believing he was going to kill a beast, to believing he had become one, to falling in love with an Echo. She had saved him from drowning in a life full of desperation and lies. She had entered his life to make the monsters that haunted him disappear. Mae was, is, and will be the love of his life forever.

Why you should listen to Chonny's Charming Chaos Compendium
I didn't expect to truly write a post about this album.
Anons introduced me to its genesis, production and themes and they seemed interesting... but was there enough food for thought?
I had no idea. My expectations were positive, so I imagined I would listen to something good: I just didn't know if this album had enough for me to talk about and say something new - considering that the CCCC fans already did a great job analyzing every detail of the songs.
But when I listened to them (and read more theories/explanations), I noticed some interesting things. Things that stirred my brain and made me think. Things I wanted to talk about.
So here I am, writing a post about Chonny's Charming Chaos Compendium Volume 1. I am not pretending to explain the lore or the songs in detail and I don't want to bother you with an extremely long post. All I want is to give you some material to decide if CCCC is worth a try.
And, if you've never heard about it before, I hope my words will spark your interest, because this album deserves more attention.
One last thing: please be aware I will talk about all sorts of themes, from love to suicide, because those are also the themes of the album.
_______________________________
A simple plot
I can hear you, fans who have listened to the whole album: simple story?! It's complicated! It's open to interpretations!
And yes, you're right. But if we consider the core foundation on which the songs are built... well, that's quite straightforward. With this album, Chonny Jash is telling us about his struggles and how they led to a psychological split inside him into Mind, Heart and Soul. Then these three parts start fighting, until they find a way to reunite again.
And yes, we can also add that this is a time loop and things are destined to repeat themselves, but the structure is still simple, clear and concise. As clear as the tripartition of the album into Calamity, Cacophony and Concord, three parts that correspond to the story's three main points: the split, the fight, the reunion.
And this simplicity isn't a bad thing, oh absolutely not. This is perfect.
There's a common misconception that a good story should be complicated. The plot should be complex and convoluted and the more complex and convoluted it is, the better the story will be. I made this conceptual mistake too and it took me years to realize how wrong it was: the better stories are not the most complicated ones, but the simpler ones.
Why?, you may ask. Isn't a simple story proof of amateur writing - or even worse, lack of creativity?
Actually, it's quite the opposite and there are four reasons why:
If a story has a simple, clear foundation, it will be easier to build on it: a simple foundation is stable and strong, it won't break down too easily. You can add layers and metaphors and hide your plot points behind different interpretations, but your public won't get lost, because the foundation would still be clear: there are three figures, they fight, they reunite. Everyone can understand it.
If everyone can understand your foundation, your story is universal. Everyone can approach and experience it, from an old person to a child, and everyone will find something inside: a message, a feeling, a piece of advice, anything.
If your story is universal and the foundation clear, your vision is also clear. And if your vision is clear, you know what you're doing. And if you know what you're doing, your story will be much more organized too: there won't be dull/useless parts, filler, or moments in which you're just dilly-dallying, waiting for the right idea to strike.
Since your story will be more organized, the flow will be better too and the events will make sense, the public will be more prone to welcome the suspension of disbelief and immerse themselves in the story. People aren't stupid, they can subconsciously feel when an artist is confident and the story is strong. And once they feel it, you win. The public is yours now, you can guide it into your world and show your vision as you intended. And people will let you do it, because they know they're in good hands.
This is what I experienced too, the more I progressed with my listening. There was a lot of care behind every word, the lyrics kept explaining and expanding the plot and everything showed the confidence of an author who knows what he is doing and how to do it.
And there's nothing better for a story, than a confident author.
_______________________________
Clear elements despite the ambiguity
Even if the foundation of CCCC is very simple, the story is enriched by a ton of ambiguities and things purposely left very vague. They may be better explained when/if Volume 2 comes out in the future, they may be left open to interpretation forever. It doesn't really matter: having a full understanding is good, but leaving everything behind a veil of mystery is a good choice as well. It depends on Mr. Jash's choice - and if my previous point wasn't clear enough, I trust this guy's choices.
However, despite the ambiguity, I also really appreciated how there are a lot of extremely clear elements in this story, starting from some events, to specific details of the main characters involved.
Some examples?
Heart tried to shoot/kill/destroy Mind
Heart's breakdown is due to something love-related
The whole series of events is stuck in a loop
Mr. Jash threatens suicide if the parts of himself don't reconcile
Mr. Jash frequently talks about how he keeps making covers of songs others made before him
And what about the details? For example, we know that every character has a specific set of elements associated with them:
an object: a blindfold (Heart), a crown (Mind), a trident (Soul)
a name: Artemis/the moon/Juno (Heart), Apollo/the sun (Mind), Atlas (Soul)
a color: black+purple (Heart), blue+white (Mind), gray+red (Soul)
And those are all elements we get from the songs and they get stuck with you, while you progress with your listening.
Again, this is a very clever choice: considering everything is open to interpretation, having some clear elements serves as "anchor points" in a sea of ambiguities. By doing that, the listeners won't get lost in a maelstrom of possibilities, but they will keep being guided down a clear path - the one traced by the main points of the album (breakdown, fight, reunion).
Also, having some fixed elements keeps everyone's attention too: some people might like to get lost in pure ambiguity, but most lose interest in a too-vague story. Even if the author had a clear plan, if everything is too obscure, people will inevitably think: "It's incomprehensible, so the author had no idea what they were doing" and ditch the story entirely.
Mr. Jash handled the ambiguity aspect very well, by balancing the obscurities with the clear elements. And this proved, once again, how clear, strong and detailed his vision is.
_______________________________
Favorite character?
Ooof, that's hard.
Each character has a specific personality and that alone proves how carefully Mr. Jash planned every element related to them.
Heart is sad, desperate, apathetic, prone to self-pity, sick and tired of everything. But he's also strong enough to try and oppose Mind out of fear of what he could do. He tried to attack someone as powerful as him and take him down, just to preserve the Soul and save their vessel.
And that proves he's not weak at all: he's a lot more powerful than he seems. And, as he said, he's not a child: he felt Mind could've been a threat, so he took the matter into his own hands and tried to find a solution.
And it makes sense his solution was so drastic, because it was dictated by feelings. Because the Heart is influenced by feelings. It's perfectly coherent with the kind of character he is.
Same goes for Mind: he's cold, harsh, a threatening figure because of his design/nature. He takes control of the situation, he appoints himself as the new leader, he wants to react, do something, move forward and ignore the element he sees as the weak link.
And he definitely doesn't hold a grudge towards Heart, nope nope: my bro spent a whole song saying "Look at Heart, he's an idiot". And then, if this isn't enough, he ended his song, by calling Heart "akaryocyte": which is a cell without a nucleus. Hence, a virus.
I'll admit it: this sick burn is the sickest burn that ever burned and probably the most clever insult I've ever read and that made Mind top #1 best character of the album - sorry Heart, but Mind is too sick. (Also, I am a cold logical person too, so I ended up thinking the guy wasn't so bad after all.)
Last but not least, we have Soul. And Soul is basically shut down all the time by these two motherfuckers arguing, to the point he looks more like a shadow, rather than a real character... until he decides that you know what, time to show how confident he actually is:
You must be so arrogant to think that either of you Can control The Soul so wholly When to be one whole you can't hold solely
One song was enough to show Soul's true colors. He's stronger than the other two, he's more in control than them and he's the only one able to draw a line and make an actual threat: if they do not find a way to reunite, he will kill them both.
A couple words and Soul's picture got flipped: he's not just a background voice anymore, he's the leading figure now. And if he is sick and tired, then these three are facing the real shit.
But just like the other two, Soul isn't just that and we see it in The Bidding.
Here happens something incredibly beautiful: once Heart and Mind find a way to harmonize, Soul immediately rejoices: with the impatience of a child, he asks them to do it again, "One more time, go again/No, this can't be the end". Soul, this powerful figure who threatened suicide one second ago, begs them to try again, to do it "for me", because they can finally harmonize, because "I don't know how much more I can take".
Once again, with a couple sentences, we learn how heavy this whole situation has been on Soul and how eager he is to try again, once the other two find a possible harmony.
This doesn't just show how deeply Soul has been affected by the whole situation, but also (on a higher level) how strong hope is.
Soul was ready to commit suicide: a few verses before he said this was the day "we'll tie the rope". But one small step in the right direction, despite being flawed and made out of spite and resentment, was all he needed to change his mind and drop the idea of suicide entirely.
That also proves how human Soul is. Because this is what humans feel too, especially when they play with the idea of suicide. Most of the time, this idea is the result of desperation and inability to find a way out of a situation that seems impossible to overcome. But once these people find even a teeny tiny fragment of hope, the will to live overcomes desperation and people latch to said hope, no matter how small it is. And, just like Soul did here, they try to have it again, to repeat it, to feel that spark again.
Because the will to live is always much, much stronger than the desperation that leads to suicide.
_______________________________
The choice of a time loop
These three characters are stuck in a time loop: things are destined to repeat themselves. And believe it or not, but this is extremely human too - and a clever choice as well.
From a psychological perspective, Mr. Jash can "break" again anytime. Life is full of stuff and events, so... who knows? Maybe in the future, he will face another heartbreak and his Whole will break down into three once more. Or maybe it won't be because of a heartbreak: maybe something else will happen and lead to a new split, a new fight and a new reconciliation. Maybe even the lack of confidence that starts to shine in Concord is proof of a future split.
But if we think about it, the time loop works from another perspective too: a meta one.
Every time you listen to the whole album, every time to replay the songs, you are relieving the split. Every time you listen to them, Whole splits into Heart, Mind and Soul. Every time you trace their history, they split, fight and reconcile.
In other words: every replay is a new loop, a loop in which these characters are stuck - not just because of their humanity, but because they're characters and this is their story. They cannot escape from it, because that's their entire world.
I don't know if Mr. Jash thought about that while making this album... but he gave me this thought and that's just another proof of what I said at the beginning of this post: if a story is very well made, everyone can find a message inside it. And I'm sure you will find something too.
(How about a coffee? ☕)

What fic tropes do you most want to see for bucktommy?
big fan of hurt/comfort and some angst, which i think we will get.
i want them to be settled in their relationship and be solid and be each other's home, and then comes the angst, but not in a way that threatens their relationship, more like: one of them gets hurt on the job for physical hurt/comfort - i would love to see tommy get hurt actually, and buck stays at his place to take care of him; proof that this capable brickhouse of a guy is not invincible. and he struggles to let himself be taken care of, and evan helps him realise that he has people who care about him - not just buck; maybe eddie visits! chim! hen! he's been on his own for so long he's quite self sufficient but buck isn't having it; this allows for some first fight potential, where tommy insists he can do it himself (bc he doesn't want to be a burden or seem weak) and buck being frustrated and a little hurt that tommy doesn't want him in his space or want his help, which makes buck feel like he's being too much and caring too much.. but they work it out! but maybe before they do we get chim/hen/eddie paying tommy a visit to check on him but moreover spend time with him and also talk things out a bit; tommy realising it's okay to let people in (chim would be perfect for this callback).
and tommy dealing with his asshole father for some emotional hurt/comfort - i just really want to see a less coolcalmcollected tommy, and i think buck seeing that and being there for him and tommy realising he has someone to lean on will strengthen their relationship.
and early season 8 with gerrard in charge is perfect for some emotional support and understanding: tommy being there for buck as he vents. and tommy confronting gerrard (not just about his treatment of evan and the 118 but about who he is and how he does not deserve to be a captain at all) which doesn't go well and brings up a lot of issues for tommy (his past self, his father and upbringing, etc) and results in him being riled and losing some of that cool calm composure buck is so used to - maybe we get buck finding tommy at the gym, or tommy and eddie doing muay thai because tommy needs the release. and eventually we get buck calming him down or tommy running out of steam and breaking down a little.
(this is all very tommy-centric i know, i just want more of him! more screentime! more emotional variation! more character and relationship growth!)
and as much as i want them to be a solid couple, i want there to be moments of uncertainty: jealous buck when he sees tommy is friendly with one of his exes or sees a guy flirting with tommy. tommy being so sure about a future with evan -has never been more sure of anyone in his life- but holding himself back because he doesn't want to move too fast for both their sakes - but he opens up by the end of the ep and it culminates in him asking evan to move in with him.
open and honest communication is integral to their relationship so i don't really want to see any secret keeping, but i could see one of them keeping a secret about the gerrard/ortiz drama to spare the other one worry or to keep them out of the crosshairs. but it won't be a lingering issue, preferably sorted in an ep or two.
also just: gimme friendship for tommy! gimme tommy and chim and hen and eddie hanging out (separately or together) because we know they're friends. gimme tommy and karen, tommy and maddie brunch dates - with jee! gimme tommy babysitting jee and the others! would also love to see some of tommy's coworkers and friends. basically let tommy have some platonic relationships because it's important to show he has a place in the 118 extended family even when evan isn't in the mix, and that he has a life outside the 118 too.
since tommy is a first responder i think it's a safe bet we'll see him working with the 118 at some point - lafd is linked from the streets to the skies - maybe buck doing a rope rescue out of the chopper or tommy rescuing buck and some civilians from a cliffside or highrise. maybe the 118 responding to a chopper crash. so many scenarios they could give us, and i want tommy working with the rest of the 118, too.

Jealous
Tumblr media
it's my right to feel hellish i still get jealous
sypnosis: you were always the jealous one, but what if one day the roles were reversed?
warnings: fem!xjay, jealousy, just a bit suggestive if you squint
a/n: not proof read + feedback is always welcomed
wc: ??
"not now ______."
jay goes to grab his cologne sitting on top of you vanity.
"right because we can only talk things out when you're in the mood for it."
that was a lie and you knew it. but you were so frustrated that you couldn't seem to care.
jay and you rarely got into arguments. however, when arguments did arise they would get pretty heated.
this one seemed to be your fault. you had spotted jay with a girl earlier today. it was so obvious she was flirting and you couldn't believe that jay was just standing there like an idiot.
you were the jealous and heated one in the relationship. whereas jay seemed to be more laidback. but at the same time, you never gave him a reason to be jealous. you never entertained anyone who would try to get at you.
deep down you knew jay wasn't doing it on purpose. he was a bit naive at times. but it hurt because it was a recurring problem that he seemed to brush off almost all the time.
"look babe let's just try to enjoy our time at the party okay? let's not let this fight ruin our night."
jay is facing you now and his arm reaches for your waist. you step back to avoid his touch causing him to furrow his eyebrows in confusion.
"you're always dismissing my feelings jay."
"i promise we can talk about this after the day is over. this is our last college party. i know how much you were looking forward to this day."
jay tries his best to sound sympathetic. he knows how much of a party freak you are, in fact, both of you had met at a college party during your freshman year.
"honestly not so much anymore. i'll be leaving with karina, don't wait up."
and with that, you were gone. jay was left alone with his thoughts and a deep sense of guilt.
Tumblr media
"ooo girl you look nice."
and you did. you wore a short black dress that stopped right above your mid-thigh. it had an open back and tied around your neck.
you smiled at karina as your hands tied the straps of your black heels.
"thank you love, you look gorgeous."
karina always made your mood better. so when you finally arrived at the party, your argument with jay earlier was already off your mind.
"okay i can tell you're feeling down and i know what will cheer you right up!"
you laughed as she dragged you by your wrist into what seemed to be the kitchen. karina started talking to a blonde-haired guy. she quickly looked back at you, and the guy did the same.
"this is my friend jake! jake this is my best friend _____!"
he was a good looking guy, didn't seem to be too far off from jay's age.
"nice to meet you jake! care to let me know why karina seems to want to introduce me to you?"
jake chuckled as he ran a hand through his fluffy hair.
"she said you weren't in the best mood and let's just say..."
he picks up some of the alcoholic beverages that were spread out on the table and presented them to both you and karina.
"i know a couple ways we can have fun."
Tumblr media
it had been around an hour since you first started drinking. you were dancing with karina drunk off your asses.
"i swear jake's drinks hit different karina. what does he put in them?"
karina wraps her arms around your neck and you both sway to the beat of the music together.
"i honestly don't know bu- wait isn't that jay over there."
oh right jay
you had completely forgotten that he was even here.
okay maybe not completely. however, you tried your best not to think of him at all, because every time you did, it made you upset.
you couldn't help but look at where karina was pointing.
"ofcourse."
another girl touching up on jay and there he was allowing it. although he wasn't paying any mind to her and was scanning the room with his eyes, it was honestly infuriating and annoying.
jay's eyes met yours and he started to walk towards your direction.
"i heard a game starting let's go karina."
it was now your turn to drag her and lead her away from the crowd. you spotted jake sitting in the living room with about 15 other people.
"what game?"
jake looked up at the sound of your voice and smiled once his eyes laid sight on you.
"truth or dare or take a shot."
"nice, we want to play."
jake scooted over to make space for the both of you. karina was giving you a worried look knowing how bad you'd get when pissed off and drunk.
Ignoring karina's concern, you shrugged her off. jay's behavior irritated you, prompting a desire for revenge. you wanted him to understand your frustration. watching him sit across from you, his frown deepened at the closeness between you and Jake. an idea immediately popped up in your head.
karina leaned her ear towards your lips as you whispered in her ears. her face of alarm instantly shifted into a sly smirk.
"you got it girl."
Tumblr media
jake had started off the game so your turn had come up almost immediately. trying your best to not smile, you looked over at karina after you had chosen dare.
"don't make me do anything too crazy."
karina giggled and looked over at jay.
"i dare you to sit on any boy's lap here for 15 minutes."
jay's head perked up. he processed what karina had just said, his calm demeanor started to turn into an anxious one. turning his focus back to you he positioned himself, ready for you.
"hmm okay."
you got up, with your dress riding up a bit. jay's eye twitched at the way jake looked at you.
"i choose...."
you turned to jake. poor guy, his eyes brightened almost right away. maybe it would've been him if he sat somewhere else. but for now, the guy sitting next to jay would have to do.
let's see how he feels having something he wants so close to him but can't have.
turning towards jay's direction you saw his toungue poking at his inner cheek. you screamed internally. he only ever did that when he was heavily ticked off.
he quickly realized what you were trying to do as you began to eye the guy next to him.
"i choose you."
pointing at the guys beside jay you turned to plop yourself on his lap.
tried to.
a pair of arms wrapped around your waist and you found yourself on someone else's lap.
jay.
you squirmed trying your best to get away.
he only held onto you tighter as he slowly nibbled at your ear.
"i think that's enough."
"you don't get to tell me what's enough!."
somehow you managed to break free from his embrace and started making your way outside.
jay followed right behind you.
thank god he couldn't see the smile forming on your face right now.
"______ stop walking."
"no."
"c'mon let's go home and talk it out."
"now you want to talk? well i don't want to."
talking back to jay was your favorite thing to do. he always looked his best when he was pissed off.
"sweetheart please."
"i said no! now fuck off."
honestly, you don't even know where that came from but you might have regretted it.
key word, might.
because before you knew it jay had you slumped over his shoulder, with one hand laid on your ass and the other reaching for his keys.
"i don't know who you think you're talking to but i know it's not me."
"jay let me down!"
"stop acting like you don't like this princess."
and with that you stayed silent.
he knew you so well.
Tumblr media
you slowly opened your eyes as light began to make it's way into your shared bedroom. rubbing at them you turn away from the window just to meet jay's eyes already looking at you.
"i'm sorry."
his hand starts to caress your face.
"jay you apologized about a thousand times already. and i've said it's okay about a thousand times now too."
jay pouted and pulled you to his chest.
"i know but i want to make it up to you. i feel horrible. i promise i'll never make you feel like that ever again."
wrapping your arms around his waist, you took his scent in.
"i think last night was enough of an apology from you."
jay chuckles and looks back down at you.
"hmm maybe trying to apologize again wouldn't hurt?"

TW: Dark Themes, Spicy Themes, Possessive Behavior, Obsessive Behavior, Non-Con, Violence, Blood, Death.
Description, Part 1
Main Masterlist | CoD Masterlist
You would think that a bunch of grown men in the military would be mature. Said military men from the 141 task force nonetheless.
But no- these soldiers were just as petty as any motherfucker, if not even more.
It was clear to anybody that you weren't welcome in the task force despite being their lieutenant as well, much like Ghost. Well, unlike Ghost, they didn't respect you at all.
It could be felt from how Price refused to touch you at all- always patting the others but made sure to keep the contact with you minimum.
It could be heard from how formal Soap talked with you despite being so comedic and casual with the others, his warm tone quickly turning cold as soon as a conversation tried to be initiated.
It could be seen with how Gaz was so affectionate and comfortable with others but turns stiff and awkward as soon as you walk into the room.
Now, Ghost... He showed his dislike for you through everything. You could see it, hear it, feel it and fucking sense it. His stern glare, his strict tone, his rough hold and how oppressive he feels near you.
His chocolate eyes which you first admired melted into fear as they resembled more like the dirt he would bury you 6ft deep in.
The 141 hated you.
It was crystal fucking clear.
You don't blame their hatred. You understood why they hated you, but you do blame their pettiness.
The way you joined was different from others. Price didn't choose you, you were assigned to the 141 by Laswell.
She said that your talents were essential to the 141 and could be put to good use. I mean, you did almost unalive Soap as proof to your skills.
You were the lieutenant of another task force to start it off. The 141's mission clashed with your team's mission which led to certain misunderstandings.
It was too late when the misunderstanding was cleared- you had already landed a shot through Soap's throat and poor lad was choking on his own blood.
If it weren't for your team's combat medic, the sargeant would have died of suffocation from a shot to the throat.
A couple months passed since that mission and sad to say, your team didn't last. Unrelated to the 141, due to a mission gone bad- your captain as well as one of your sargeants died. The team was unable to perform due to the loss and caused your other lieutenant and two sargeants to retire.
You, on the other hand, wanted to resume your duties as lieutenant despite the loss. You wanted to push forward- not because you were strong. But to punish yourself for their deaths.
You would be a waste to assign to any other team that wouldn't allow you to showcase your skills and talents. This caused Laswell to make the decision to assign you to the 141. Even if they complained.
Now, you understood why the 141 was so against your addition to the team. You didn't exactly have the best history together. But you tried to make it up for your mistakes. You really tried to mend things, find common ground, initiatiate a truce for almost a fucking year.
You felt desperate, pathetic almost.
"That would be all. You're excused, Lieutenant." Price waved you off from his office, you sighed as you shut the door behind you.
You made your way to the kitchen- hoping that at least, they took a bite of your efforts.
You stopped in your steps, a few feet from the kitchen counter, you stared at the unmoved and probably cold by now food left there.
They didn't touch it at all.
You felt frustrated. "Seriously?"
You went closer to the plates left alone by your team. Not a single thing was touched.
You really put your effort on this one. You took note of their favorite food even! You made them after a really tiring mission, you knew that the team would probably be starving.
You even heard Soap complaining about how his stomach was killing him.
"I fucking give up." You mumbled, angry and exhausted. One year and three months was enough.
"If they're gonna be petty then fucking fine. But my patience isn't forever and I'm done." You rambled on to yourself. You took the plates and dumped the food into seperate plastic containers.
You weren't a waste. You'd probably give the food to Riley, save the other containers for the following days. The K9 at least had more manners than the rest of the humans in this compound.
"I'm done trying to be the bigger person." You angrily muttered as you crouched down to place the container in front of the dog.
Riley tilted his head at you. Curious at your rambling and sensing your irritation.
One last mission. You promised.
Just one last mission with the 141 and you would demand a transfer from Laswell. If that won't be allowed- all might as well go to hell and you'd join Kortac.
Roze always tried to persuade you to join and Konig wasn't afraid to joke of your addition to the team. You were pretty sure it wasn't a joke as Horangi handed you official documents of transfer.
You gave Riley one last pat before heading back to your personal room. Being in the 141 had it's benefits at least with the special treatment.
It was nice to have your own room to yourself. You'd die of tension if you'd share a room with the rest of the team.
You passed Gaz in the halls, he stiffened at the sight of you and you internally rolled your eyes at that. You ignored him and headed straight to your room.
Gaz almost stuttered in his steps when you passed by him, not even sparing a single glance at him.
He looked back at you as you entered your room and shut the door. It was weird not being greeted by you for once. He brushed the encounter off nonetheless.
You just didn't notice him, he guesses.
But that didn't sit well in his gut either.
