no bc imagine you haven’t even been dating for long (like 2 months) but people on tiktok are saying men KNOW and you go to pick him up from the club and the moment he steps into the car he’s all over you. i’m talking sloppy cheek kisses and cheesy smiles. his eyes are practically shut and he simply can’t stop grinning from ear to ear.
he’s GONE gone, singing all the songs that come on the radio and you don’t have the heart to tell him that he’s so off-key it’s making your ears bleed. before you’ve even approached his house, he pulls out a pack of peach rings from nowhere before turning his head towards you with a stupid smile you want to wipe off his face as it’s nearing 3 AM and all you want is some sleep.
“i wanna marry you, y’know” he tells you, words slurred as you fight the urge to slam your foot on the brake. “jude, what are you even-“ you laugh as you give him a quick glance but your question flies over his head. “will you marry me?” he asks “because i wanna marry you.” he states as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
you sigh with a smile, knowing he won’t remember any of this interaction the next day “sure, i’ll marry you.” he smiles and puts one of the peach rings on your ring finger before pulling your hand to his mouth and taking a bite out of it. “jude!” you scold but he only chuckles in satisfaction.
