I had a dream last night that I was playing a sort of "choose your own adventure" Saw game as Peter Strahm. Halfway through I remembered the plot of Saw V and realized that Strahm would be better off not going after Hoffman given that the FBI catches him regardless of what Strahm does because of the voice recording, and so I just chose to have Strahm go to an office party and completely ignore the plot of the movie. The glass coffin trap was on a timer (I think my subconscious was mixing up Strahm's trap and Rigg's) and so Hoffman wasn't in the room to see that no one was being crushed. There was a whole cut scene of him running to open the door all excited to see Strahm's crushed corpse and steal his finger prints only to get this look of complete and under devastation upon realizing that the room was fucking empty.
