#The best term I can use to describe how I picture Mario's strength in my AU is ''gentle and effortless'' đ
It occurred to me recently that I've never shared the headcanons I had regarding Mario's strength in my version, so I thought I'd list them out in a single post for you guys.
Enjoy! :D
- Even without power-up, Mario is stronger and notably more resistant than average.
- This is mainly due to his high muscle density. He has a considerable body mass and is surprisingly heavy despite his short stature.
- He has a very healthy heart and incredible cardio. Sustained efforts that would leave others winded will affect him a lot less.
- His sturdiness gives him great equilibrium and stability, allowing him to keep his footing even on unsteady terrain.
- The man can lift objects up to five times his size and can pull tremendous loads across a short distance.
- He can carry the equivalent of a person's weight for long periods of time without feeling strained or tired.
- He makes labor look deceivingly easy to the point that others constantly underestimate how hard it truly is (and are always astounded when they try it for themselves, only to fail miserably).
- Mario doesn't workout outside of his daily tasks and activities. His job and naturally active disposition are his only form of exercise.
- He sometimes forgets how physically powerful he actually is, and has warped/broken quite a few things by accident.
- He is however extremely mindful of his capabilities when surrounded by others, and always significantly tempers himself when playing or interacting with friends.
- He never uses his strength to its full extent; both because he doesn't need to and because he fears causing harm otherwise.
- His intervention on a rampaging chain chomp was the greatest demonstration of brute force anyone had ever seen in the whole Kingdom. (See here for context)
- The exploit has made him famous among the guards and citizens alike, earning him the prestigious title of "Super" for the first time.
- While not typically one to show off, Mario loves entertaining people through various feats of athletic prowess.
- Out of all the things others seek his help for, he feels most useful when the favor requires either heavy lifting or manual expertise.
- Albeit very efficient when doing more dynamic chores, his prefered way of working is with his hands only.
- He can punch through almost any surface except literal stone and can bend even solid metal out of shape.
- A rush of adrenaline will cause his endurance to skyrocket, making him temporarily able to endure abject levels of pain and exhaustion.
- Despite those physical advantages, he values qualities of the mind and heart a lot more.
- When asked, Mario always says: "My brother and my friends give me strength. I owe them everything."

May I request a scrnario with leviathan with an s/o who's a closet otaku (like she rlly tries hard to hide it from him lmao) and how would he react when he manages to discover her otome/male idol merch (like enstars, tsukiuta or a Idolish7 lololol) hidden in some part of her room/closet
Levi (Obey Me!) - Prompt - Being with a secret otaku MC
Sorry that this took fucking forever, I had my Mid terms which was a ride and a half, but heres the story. I used the power of my own weeb knowledge to write this, hope you love it!! Thank you for making a request
You, Satan, and Asmo were sitting in the living room watching The Real Housewives of Devildom when you all heard an ear shattering seemingly female scream. Asmo jumped like a baby into your arms while Satan, who was off in his own world reading a detective novel since you got so caught up in the show that you werenât even looking at your Spells notes anymore, looked up and straight to the source. It came from your room. The biggest problem was that you guys had no idea where Lucifer fucked off to so you couldnât ask him to go check it out.Â
Asmo quivered in your arms, saying, âM-MC, go check it out.â
âWHAT? Me? You want me to check it out?â You? The weakest of the bunch??
Satan spoke up, âwhy donât we all go check it out, that way weâll have MC with us to make sure sheâs okay and have two demons to protect her.â
Reluctantly, you and Asmo got up to follow Satanâs lead.
-Five hours ago-
Levi was so far ahead of you in Mario Kart : Journey into Devildom ⢠that he passed the finish line nearly a minute before you.Â
âHah, normie!!â he said.Â
You had been not only defeated, but defeated so badly that you silently declared Mario your arch enemy. You looked to Levi,Â
âHey, that level was really hard, okay?â you said with puppy dog eyes, hoping to avoid his taunts about your gaming abilities.Â
âNahhhh it wasnât youâre just such a normie that you couldnât finish it in first place like me.â He said it with a taunting smile and a sly look in those orange eyes.Â
You decided to repay his taunts; you stood up and then kneeled, your hand on your heart,Â
âForgive me, your weeb highness.â
You grabbed his hand, you were going to kiss it to really drive the whole weeb highness joke in but he tugged away immediately. He was blushing the color of a fuji apple. He put his wrist over his mouth and avoided eye contact, he was slightly embarrassed from your joke, but it was you grabbing his hand that sent the flush to his cheeks. Of course, he would never admit that to you, so he said,Â
âH-hey, you donât have to make fun of me.â
âYou just called me a normie, Levi,â you said, looking up at him with a beaming smile.Â
He blushed more, âG-get up MC, itâs w-weird l-looking at you like that.â In a desperate attempt to hide his blushing cheeks, he wasnât even looking at you now. This is why you loved teasing him back, he would always become so flustered when you teased him back and seeing him blush was the cutest thing you could ever imagine. No matter how much Levi called you a normie or made fun of you for being bad with the video game controller, you never turned down a chance to give him a taste of his own medicine. He didnât even know the best part. You were totally an otaku! Just like him â well, maybe not just like him, you left your room much more than him and another tiny detail is that you had gone to the ends of the earth to hide your otaku side from everyone you came into contact with.Â
âHah,â Levi laughed, âwhen you were being all butthurt about being a normie, you sounded like Suki from My Heartless Father Threw Me Out At Birth But Itâs Fine Because He Died and Left Me With A Fortune But My Angry Mother Tried To Kill Me But I Killed Someone, Who Is It? When her heartless father threw-â
âI understand Levi.â
Realizing that maybe the name was a little too forth-giving to the plot, he tried a different reference just so he could see you not understand it.Â
âOkay what about this one, you sound like SHEba at the final battle when she gave a speech to the dog-humanoid overlord.â
âPfft, no I didnât, she was way more worked up okay. And that was the same day that she found out her father was the villain so thatâs two people betraying poor SHEba. Also, what was with the ending, was that a set up for a sequel or something? I think that a sequel would be dragging it on too much just like when âDid She Do It?â came out after âDo What I Say! : Should We Have A Courtship?ââ
Levi was looking at you, mouth hanging open, âUhhh MC, youâve seen âBone Catcher: The Planet of the Dogsâ? AND âDo What I Say!â????â
âOh, uh, no, not really, only a little bit of it. Just some snippets because you were talking about it so I watched like five minutes, not really my thingâŚâŚâŚâ
âASDFGHJKL only this meme can describe how Iâm feeling.â It was a deep fried meme written in ancient devildom language over the picture of what seemed to be a demonic pikachu with its mouth open.Â
You sigh, âLevi I canât read that.â
âHm, maybe a NORMIE (lolololol)Â like you shouldnât read it!â
You laughed, âokay, Levi.âÂ
To this he smiled, you didnât know why but he smiled nonetheless. In truth, he was just happy that he could have a conversation with you like this. You were the only person heâd ever met that went to such lengths to hang out with him, I mean Satan sometimes came around to watch dramas and Mammon came around to ask for money, but you didnât want that. You wanted to hole up with him, hear his voice, see his smile, play the games you werenât accustomed to. You just wanted to be with him and that was the most profound realization that came upon Levi after you two first began hanging out like this. You were his first best friend and his first romantic interest that wasnât 2D, so it was a big deal when you came to hang out in his room.
He didnât want you to leave so he spoke,
âSo, wanna play another game so you can lose?â
âVery funny,â you said, giving him a smirk.
âFor reals though, I have this new game and itâs a two player.â
You stretched your arms out as you stood up from where you were sitting on the ground, âmaybe tomorrow, I have a big test coming up in Spells class and I really need to study for it.â
He looked down to the controller that was still in one of his hands, âoh, okay, just do your normie studying but tomorrow you have to be here to play it with me, like blood oath promise me.â
âI feel like a blood oath is a little too serious for this situation, pinky promise,â you said holding out your pinky.
He couldnât help but blush at the thought of touching your hand again.Â
âPffft, w-what a lame normie thing to do, l-letâs do a pinky promise t-then.âÂ
âOkay,â you linked your pinkies together and looked into his eyes that were surrounded by a rose color that crept up to his entire face, âI pinky promise you that I will be here tomorrow so I can be your player two.âÂ
He blushed even harder, âokay, w-whatever.â And you were on your way out, but just before you opened the door, âoh, by the way, I lost my headphones at R.A.D., can I borrow some earbuds for tonight?â
âHmph, okay but JUST for tonight, the premiere of Generic Anime Name is gonna be on Devflix tomorrow morning and I canât miss watching that.â
And with that, you were off to study in your room until Asmo yanked the headphones from your ears,
âHey MC, guess what show is on?â
âAsmo Iâm trying to study,â you put Leviâs headphones in your pocket as to avoid further ear pulling.Â
âBut itâs âThe Real Housewives of Devildom!â Remember how you promised me last week that you would watch the new episode with me?â
âAsmo, not now, I need to study for this test
âMCCCC, you SAID you woulddddd you prommmisssedâ
âUgh fine but only if we bring Satan along to help me study during commercials.â
âYayyyy!âÂ
Meanwhile notification beeped on Leviâs D.D.D.,
âAs a present weâll be releasing the premiere of Generic Anime Name a little early for our loving fans
Levi rushed to your room and walked right in, not bothering to knock. It was a good thing you werenât there because you wouldâve punched him in the face if another person had come in while you were studying. He wondered for a second where you had gone, but that wasnât the issue at hand, he HAD to find his headphones. He rummaged through almost your entire room. âWhere would they be?â âMaybe she dropped them and kicked them under the bed?â So, he went looking under your bed and found tons upon tons of anime and otome merch. He saw a body pillow of Gavyn from Mr. Passion: Monarchâs Decision and thatâs when he lost all composure and let out a scream. About five minutes of digging through your stacks of posters and T-shirts and yet another body pillow, the door was nearly busted open by you, Asmo, and Satan.Â
âWhy didnât you tell me?â He was hurt, really hurt you could tell because he didnât even have the strength to call you a normie. He figured you didnât tell him because you didnât think he was cool enough or hot enough like Gavyn. Maybe you even didnât like him at all.Â
âUhhhhh, Iâm going to leave now, bye,âAsmo said, sprinting out of the awkward situation and Satan soon followed seeing that there wasnât some ghost wandering about in your room.Â
âLevi-â
âAre we friends?â This caught you off guard, why the hell would he think you werenât friends? He was your best friend and at the same time your biggest crush.Â
âOf course, Levi, weâre friends,â your head hung low, you felt slightly ashamed of hiding this side of you from him.Â
âThen why did you hide all of this from me?â
âBecause I was scared of how you would react. In the human world, there was a guy I used to really like, he was my only friend at the time, but when I showed him these things, he stopped talking to me; he wouldnât even look at me in the hallways. I felt so alone. He thought it was weird and childish and- and he said I was creepy. I just-â tears began rolling from your eyes from remembering this and realizing that Levi was nothing like that guy. Levi, even though he didnât show it much, actually cared about you and he was even into some of the same things you were but you were just too damn scared of something like that happening again.
You choked back your tears, âI just didnât want to lose you.âÂ
He stood up and walked over to you, âMC, you donât need to hide from me⌠I would never stop talking to you, even if you were into stuff I didnât like. I just like being around you and having a friend to play video games with and watch anime with and you listen to me talk about Ruri-chan and- and,â his voice shook. Now both of you were crying as he pulled you in for a hug, you were both such softies that you couldnât help but get worked up over your emotions. Neither of you wanted to lose the other, and Levi didnât want you to feel like you needed to hide any part of you from him because, after all, you were his player two.Â
âY-you should never leave your player two behind,â he said with his face buried in the crook of your neck. Lucifer gave a passing look in your room when he got back to see that you were alright but saw two emotional weebs crying and hugging instead.Â
âMC, Levi, I beg of you, whatever it is that youâre doing, just finish and go to sleep.â
You and Levi separated but instead of going to his room, Levi stayed with you to watch that new anime premiere episode. You shared the headphones even after you nodded off to bed and Levi was just sat next to you, listening to whatever was on his computer while smiling gently at you, studying your features as you lay peacefully asleep. Finally around five in the morning you were both asleep as Levi unconsciously held you close, in his arms, never wanting to let go of his Player Two.

âMy Thoughts About Technical Analysisâ was posted on 4 June 2017, 19 July 2017 Â
ââââââââââââââ-
  Â
â Technical Analysis is a windsock, not a crystal ball. â - Carl Swenlin. Â (Editorial comment: We are using technical analysis to measure what the trend is doing today. We are not using it to predict what the trend will do tomorrow.)
âGood investment advice is repetitive and boring. There is nothing exciting about it.â â D. Muthukrishnan
âEverybody wants to win, of course. But not everybody wants to bet, and therein lies a difference of the greatest magnitude.â - Max Gunther
âWorry is not a sickness but a sign of health. If you are not worried, you are not risking enough.â - Max Gunther
âTo make any kind of gain in life, ⌠you must place some of your material and/or emotional capital at risk. That is the law of the universe. Except by blind chance, it cannot be circumvented. There are no appeals. It is the law. - Max Gunther
âIf you think being an entrepreneur (investor) is risky, try working for someone else for 40 years and living off social security.â - Warren Buffet
âScared money never wins.â - Anonymous
âThe desire for constant action irrespective of underlying conditions is responsible for many losses on Wall Street even among the professionals, who feel that they must take home some money every day, as though they were working for regular wages.â - Jesse Livermore
âIf you canât sleep at night because of your stock market position, then you have gone too far. If this is the case, then sell your position down to the sleeping level.â - Jesse Livermore
âYou can fail at what you donât want. So you might as well take a chance on doing what you love.â - Jim Carrey
âSystems donât need to be changed. The trick is for a trader to develop a system with which he is compatible.â - Ed Seykota
âI have never seen short-term trading work over the long run.â - Anonymous
  Â
âIâve learned many things from George Soros but perhaps the most significant is that itâs not whether youâre right or wrong thatâs important, but how much money you make when youâre right and how much you lose when youâre wrong. When you have a tremendous conviction on a trade, you have to go for the jugular. As far as Soros is concerned, when youâre right on something, you canât own enough. It takes courage to ride a profit with huge leverage. It takes courage to be a pig.â - Stanley Druckenmiller
"What you described is an incredible one-way bet. We should have 200 percent of our net worth in this trade, not 100 percent. Do you know how often something like this comes around?" - George Soros to Stanley Druckenmiller on the British pound short bet
"And if you look at what excites you and then you look down the road, your record on those particular transactions is far superior to everything else, but the mistake I'd say 98 percent of money managers and individuals make is they feel like they've got to be playing with a bunch of stuff. And if you really see it, put all your eggs in one basket and watch the basket very carefully. These sorts of trades don't happen often though. They usually happen one or two times a year,â - Stanley Druckenmiller
âAnd then all that is required is a willingness to bet heavily when the odds are extremely favorable, using resources available as a result of prudence and patience in the past. Itâs not given to human beings to have such talent that they can just know everything about everything all the time. But it is given to human beings who work hard at itâwho look and sift the world for a mispriced betâthat they can occasionally find one. And the wise ones bet heavily when the world offers them that opportunity. They bet big when they have the odds. And the rest of the time, they donât. Itâs just that simple.â - Charlie Munger (Editor: Charlie Munger argues that hitting a few financial home runs in a lifetime is all you need for financial success. Unfortunately, being patient, brave and aggressive is not a typical combination of character traits for most people.)
âThe way to build superior long-term returns is through preservation of capital and home runs. ... â - Stanley Druckenmiller
âThe second piece, analytically, is bet size, which is once you have an edge, how much do you bet in your portfolio? Thatâs a second key component which is often overlooked.â - Michael Mauboussin
Â
âDiversification is a protection against ignorance. It makes very little sense for those that know what they are doing.â - Warren Buffet
âI only focus on what is black or white and kind of sift out the gray area in my investing style.â - Stanley Druckenmiller
(Editor: Why invest in anything which you are unsure about when there are other options that you are more sure about? This is simple âopportunity costâ thinking.)
âPut all your eggs in one basket and then watch the basket very carefully.â- Stanley Druckenmiller
{{{  âI particularly remember the time I gave (the research director) my paper on the banking industry. I felt very proud of my work. However, he read through it and said, âThis is useless. What makes the stock go up and down?â That comment acted as a spur. Thereafter, I focused my analysis on seeking to identify the factors that were strongly correlated with a stockâs price movement as opposed to looking at all the fundamentals. Frankly, even today, many analysts still donât know what makes their particular stocks go up and down. ... Very often, the key factor is related to earnings. Valuation only tells me how far the market can go once a catalyst enters the picture to change the market direction.â }}} - Stanley Druckenmiller
(Editor: Stanley Druckenmiller is referring here to the importance of identifying what Mario Gabelli calls a catalyst. Gabelli writes: âA catalyst may take many forms and can be an industry or company specific event. Catalysts can be a regulatory change, industry consolidation, a repurchase of shares, a sale or spin-off of a division, or a change in management.â Valuation is most valuable when it can be combined with a catalyst. Buying at an attractive valuation gives you a margin of safety against mistakes and the catalyst can provide you will a turbocharged result on that basic foundation.
     Â
[[[ Â Priority #1 in Technical Analysis is to identify the direction of the primary trend. Thatâs all weâre doing here. Which way is the stock going? Up or down? Answering that is step one. Then we want to look for either signs of strength or signs of exhaustion.
Price is the most important technical indicator we have. Moving averages are therefore a supplement to price behavior in the trend identification process.
If prices are making higher highs and higher lows above an upward sloping 200 day moving average, itâs most likely not in a downtrend.
⌠ my sole use for a moving average is to help identify the direction of the primary and/or secondary trend in a given market. This is not for buy and sell signals.
Something we want to avoid is when a stock (or any asset) is trading near a flat 200 period moving average. This is typically an environment that lacks any trend. ]]] - JC Parets
 Â
[[[ âThereâs no such thing as overbought in an uptrend.â Â Technical analysisâ primary goal is to find stocks that are trending and then take advantage of that trend. Â Assuming you donât short things (please donât), then the only way to make money as an investor is to buy low and sell high - i.e., ride an uptrend.
Given that finding and riding uptrends is our primary mission, once you are riding an uptrend, why would you ever get off of it before it reverses? Â This is where the concept of âoverboughtâ can work against you. Â
âOscillators oscillate.â Â This brilliant insight reminds me that many technical indicators go up and down frequently - even if the stock is continuing to move higher. Â They canât help it. Â They were designed to work that way. Â (In reality, they are meant to be used when a stock is moving sideways, not when it is in an uptrend.) ]]] - Chip Anderson

âTrends persist.â - Richard Donchian
âIn a bull market, buy fast and sell slow.â - Anonymous
âIn a bull market, negative divergences (eg. momentum or breadth) tend to resolve themselves to the upside. This is called the bull market bias.â - Anonymous with hat tip to Carl Swenlin
âIn a bull market, you buy the technically oversold condition. In a bear market, you short sell the over bought condition.â - Anonymous

âDaniel-san, trust quality of what you know, not quantity.â - Mr Miyagi, Karate Kid. Â ( Itâs not how much you know. Itâs how well you have mastered what you already know.)
âItâs not what you donât know that gets you into trouble. Itâs what you know for sure that just ainât so.â - Mark Twain
âComplexity is your enemy. Anybody can make things complicated. Itâs hard to keep things simple.â - Richard Branson

âNot every decision we make is actually rational. We see what we want to see filtered through our inherent biases, and then we make decisions based on those biases. These biases are called cognitive biases and we all have them.â - Christine Comaford    Â
âThere is only one side of the market and it is not the bull side or the bear side, but the right side.â - Jesse Livermore  (Editor: In the stock market, both bulls and bears can trade profitably. But pigs and mules tend to get slaughtered)
âI think it was a long step forward in my trading education when I realized at last that when old Mr. Partridge kept on telling other customers, âWell, you know this is a bull market!â he really meant to tell them that the big money was not in the individual fluctuations but in the main movements that is, not in reading the tape but in sizing up the entire market  and its trend.â - Jesse Livermore
  Â
 Â
âThe only way you can make money in the market is with a trend. Â Price has to trend (move) higher or lower or you just break even. Â This trend can be hours or months, smooth or choppy but itâs that trend, the movement of price that makes you money. Â The trend, indeed, is your friend. â Â Unknown
(Editorial comment: The more stable [or less volatile] the trend, Â the easier it is to make money.)
âTrading is all about putting the odds in our favor, and we can increase our odds with one key assumption: The trend will remain in force until proven otherwise. In other words, a trend in motion is expected to stay in motion or assume that the trend will extend, and not end. - Arthur Hill
(Editorial comment: Â And my own favorite bullish quote âThe trend is up until it is not.â)
âIsnât it strange how you want to enter long positions during a bull market, but you want to wait on that âpullbackâ? Â Then the market pulls back and you think the selling has just begun and you donât want to enter too early so you wait. Â Everyone goes through this mental game.â - Tom Bowley
âCorrections are tricky because nobody knows how long they will last, how far they will extend and what path they will take. ⌠the bigger trend is up ⌠timing a correction is difficult. ⌠I prefer timing the end of the correction rather than the beginning.â - Arthur Hill
âDonât buy the dip. Buy after the dip, once it begins to turn higher again. You donât want to buy weakness indiscriminately. If you wait for the evidence that the buyers are back in control, you have a much higher probability trade with lower risk and stress.â - Brian Shannon
âOne of the biggest challenges in technical analysis is to distinguish between a mere correction and the start of a bigger downtrend.â - Arthur Hill
âIt is said that while bottoms are events, but tops are processes. Translated, markets bottom out when panic sets in, and therefore they can be more easily identifiable. By contrast, market tops form when a series of conditions come together, but not necessarily all at the same timeâ - Cam Hui
