Getting All Matchy-Matchy
I saw everyone talking about the red/white/black matching looks Ai Di and Chen Yi wore in ep 13, but they've always been a matchy-matchy pair throughout the series. Quite a few times their entire color schemes have been couple-y. I can't make gifs so please enjoys these screenshots and promo pics as evidence.
In ep 5 when they confronted Wayne and Chunchih (idk what their characters' names were lmao) they wore yellow with black pattern, black, and orange. Tell me this doesn't scream, "We coordinated before we left the shop."
In ep 6 we have them wearing their lil blue, black, and white ensembles at the semi-hostile family dinners. These looks feel like Ai Di got dressed first and then Chen Yi decided he would wear blue too.
Then we skip a little ways ahead to ep 9. Why are Ai Di and Chen Yi matching when he gets out of prison? Black and red. What sort of foresight did Chen Yi even have to plan this?
In ep 10 Ai Di's sweater perfectly matches Chen Yi's t-shirt and of course they're both wearing black to bring everything together cohesively.
In Ep 12, they aren't perfectly matched but Ai Di's brown mustard-colored sweatshirt is def somewhere in the same family and the tan and chocolate brown Chen Yi is wearing. (It's a bit of a reach, I know)
In Ep 13 we got the infamous shared items included in the matching looks. First with Ai Di wearing one of Chen Yi's graphic tees while they're both wearing red, black, and white.
And then again when Ai Di points out that Chen Yi is wearing his zip-up. But we also have them both in black and white, feat mock turtlenecks.

So I was rewatching Kiseki ep9 (because I like to torture myself) and there is this one expression on Ai Di’s face when he’s looking down at Chen Yi. Like he had resolved not to go through with it. He was going to stop and remove himself and not cross that line, but then Chen Yi reached out to him and kisses him, really kisses him and Ai Di just breaks.
He’s never had the kind of affection and love from Chen Yi that he craves and suddenly he has it, if only for a second. He knows what he is doing is wrong, that it’s unforgivable, but oh how he wants. He knows Chen Yi is drunk. He knows he shouldn’t be doing this. He truly believes Chen Yi will hate him in the morning. Still he can’t pull himself away anymore. His resolve is gone and so he does the unthinkable and goes through with it.
The angst in that moment. Ai Di’s resolve shattering in the face of what he believes is misplaced love from Chen Yi.
The irony is I think that moment is also when Chen Yi realizes that it’s Ai Di. It’s that moment that his alcohol addled brain finally starts firing on all cylinders again and he realizes that it’s Ai Di above him, kissing him. His friend, his brother and yet all he wants to do in that moment is kiss him. He wants that love that Ai Di gives him, that he hasn’t realized he wanted until that second.
4 years in the past, Ai Di and Chen Yi managed to get to on the same page for a moment. Only they were in different books. For Ai Di, it’s an ending, a finale before he completely throws away everything he loves so much but for Chen Yi it’s an awakening, a beginning, an optimistic look into the future.
Now they aren’t on the same page but Chen Yi is desperate to get back to it and Ai Di is terrified to even consider the possiblility. All they want is each other’s love and yet they can’t seem to figure out how to get it, if they even deserve to have it.

Kiseki's Second Pair Colors
I'm still ignoring the colors in Kiseki: Dear to Me, but @befuddledcinnamonroll said they were waiting for me to dissect the second couple in @echos-of-ivy's ask, and because I'm obsessed with Ai Di/Eddie, I'm delivering the goods.
Zong Yi is a Blue Boy, and Ze Rui is devoid of color.
Yet when we see them in the future, it seems as if Zong Yi gave his color to Ze Rui and is colorless as a result of it.
And when we see Eddie and Chen Yi in the future, Eddie seems to have shared a similar fate for he is colorless.
Which is saddening considering Eddie is the most colorful of the bunch in the past.
Eddie's light hair paired with his bright and patterned sweaters seem to clash with Chen Yi's dark wardrobe often.
Which would come across as perhaps these two are a light versus dark color dynamic.
But here's the thing - Chen Yi matches Eddie.
In the above picture, Eddie's cardigan is red and blue, and Chen Yi is wearing a red button up over his hoodie and under his jacket, and below Chen Yi is wearing blue to match Eddie's cardigan.
Because Chen Yi may not be as colorful and bright as Eddie,
but he is connected to Eddie and matches his color.
And even if Chen Yi isn't matching the exact colors of Eddie, he gets close.
Because it has to be hard to keep up with Eddie's colorful personality at all times, but Chen Yi sure does try.
They are a team. (look at Eddie eating a chile pepper because he likes it spicy!)
So their colors show that.
And even when they are fighting
Chen Yi still wears Eddie's color of the moment.
However, there have been three times so far that their colors don't align.
When Chen Yi was on the phone discussing business with the boss, and Eddie rudely and childishly interrupted, it might have appeared like a Blue Boy and a Red Rascal were fighting. And the lighting help. But . . .
The fight really lit up when Eddie mentioned Chen Yi loving their boss, and this conflict played out again through the colors outside of the club.
Both times, Chen Yi has gotten upset when Eddie says this, and both times he has left Eddie alone with his colors. But there is the third time Chen Yi left Eddie regarding their boss - their birthday.
And the colors didn't align then either.
Because the real conflict between them is their boss.
I mean their dad.
And since these two were raised as brothers, of course they would be united, yet it's difficult to change that dynamic (let's take a moment to appreciate Eddie's skull and bones robe)
But I have hope for them because even though four years has passed when we see them in the future, and they are fighting outside of the prison in black
Eddie still has a little color left in him
And Chen Yi matched him.

So you know how Ron Swanson is about bacon & eggs?
As in this?
This is exactly how I am about Chen Yi and Ai Di.
So when I say I want all the Chen Yi x Ai Di on Tuesday, I mean I want ALL the Chen Yi x Ai Di.
The other couple had their sweet and sexy reunion and I am happy for them. Now their cute asses need to get out of the way for an episode.
I want bondage. I want spice. I want Chen Yi smirking as he breaks this little man. I want Ai Di to finally realize how deeply he is loved and attack Chen Yi like the feral little gremlin he is.
GIVE ME ALL OF IT.
