Suddenly you’re in your 20s and you don’t feel like being 30 is being too old or too late to be accomplished as an adult. Suddenly, you realize it’s okay to feel older. There is a certain comfort in taking it slower and let a new generation dominate, just like yours did in your teens.
You realize all the accomplished adults you met when you were younger had no idea what they were doing - and they still don’t have a clue. Suddenly, life makes no sense at all, and you’re not scared, because you know now that life isn’t supposed to be perfect.
It is chaotic, but most importantly, you are finding yourself amongst the chaos, and you are blooming into your true self, instead of becoming what was expected of you. You begin a new path, but you can’t see ahead. But you trust yourself to find you way in life, just like you are finding yourself.
Take time to enjoy the process, and make sure to keep these memories: it will make you less cynical to younger generations when you are older. It will remind you how big life was in your 20s, all the things you discovered, including your own path.
Let go of the regrets, and know you enjoyed your life as much as you could given the circumstances. Don’t grow bitter, life is too big to explore every corner of it, and even though you will try, you will never catch every glimpse of beauty life has. Find comfort on the beauty you were already able to find, remember to find it in yourself too, remember that part of life remains in secrecy. And letting go, little by little, of most of your regrets and worries about not truly enjoying your youth is how you can clear your head and find time to live life instead of over analyzing how you should do it.
There is comfort in growing older, as you grow wiser, you learn to let go so you don’t become bitter. You find yourself and you can finally live with less regret. There is comfort in growing old, knowing life can be so beautiful, in all its mysteries. Let those mysteries carry your curiosity into the world, maybe you will find what you are looking for. Maybe you will find something even better and make the adventure a wonderful memory.
You will find loss, sorrow, pain. But trust that you will find more about yourself and what you want and need in those moments. You will overcome them. All the pain will fade into the background as you outgrow it. You will realize that sometimes giving up isn’t the right option and you will know how strong you are, and how capable you are to solve your problems and move forward even when you see nothing in the distance, except for that light in the end of the tunnel. There is no glamour in leaving life behind at 27. And when you turn 28, your life and the world you live in will be so different, as long as you keep living in the present, eyes open, attentive ears, hands ready to grasp the beauty you search for, and keep alive the inner child that will be marveled at it.
Yes, there is comfort in growing old. It’s chaotic. But, oh, it is worth it. Grab a blanket and come over, let’s get cozy, and look at dead stars shining above, as ourselves grow old.

Too tired of pressuring myself so much, being so harsh, so strict. I am going to do something revolutionary: I am going to give myself a break whenever I need one and reassure myself that I am doing my best even when I am resting because I am being kind to my body and my mind. They are all mine; they are my constant companions through life. It is important to be kind to them so they can follow me in the best shape that they can be during my lifetime. I am not fighting against myself anymore; I am fighting for myself.

reminder that emotions are not "good" or "bad". they are simply the way you are responding to a situation. give yourself space to feel however you might feel about something, especally if those feelings are ones you usually try to avoid.

No matter how clumsy and untalented you are, no matter how bad at school or at your job you are: Everyone has a talent. You are good at something. Maybe it's drawing, maybe it's comforting people that are upset. No matter what it is: Life is about finding a way to do more of what you're good at. Maybe as a job, maybe as a way to spend your free time. Focus on what you're good at, show your skill off to the world.

Hey, real quick, go bury your face in something soft. A stuffed animal. A plush blanket. A pillow. Your pet. Your favorite shirt or hoodie. Do it.
Was it comforting, even in the slightest? If not, well, you tried. Either way, remember that the little things can bring you goodness, and all those little things will add up. They may not overshadow all the bad, but it certainly does help.
You may never be truly comfortable, but odds are, there's something around you that can give you some comfort. And that's a lot better than nothing.
