Just a wee update.

I’ve been going to town on the third out of four Corn Kidz one-shots I got in the pipeline leading up to the grand finale of the series. It’s an awesome lad and I want this fic to go hard, so I’m painstakingly going through it and cramming as much stuff in it, world-building, action, fun character interactions, development, as possible. You’re in for a wild ride when this thing finally releases.

In case any of you have been wondering what I've been working on outside of BBU or Corn Kidz 64-related fan content, this is one fic I've been looking to update for a minute. It's called The Fallen King and it's for the Amphibia fandom. In this long fic, The fallen king of Newtopia, Andrias Leviathan, learns the true value of friendship that he's taken for granted for so long when Sprig Plantar hops back into his life.

This is Archangel Barnaby, a concept from Ballad of the White Mage. I wanted to draw this for a long time, but I wanted to release him in story form first and give people a chance to read it. Without revealing too much about the story, Barnaby has ascended, been "purged of his grotesque form", and has been given divinity. This has nothing to do with Hazbin Hotel, by the way, in which another character ascended. This is by, and for, an entirely different reason.

Design-wise, I wanted him to be this perfect blend of alive and ghost Barnaby. I wanted him to have the warming and pleasant nature of the alive form while also maintaining the otherworldly, exaggerated, cartoonish proportions of the ghost form, maintaining that threatening aura. His base size dwarfs his ghost form, retaining all the powers of that form and more. I haven't colored him, but I want his appearance to be largely the palette of his living form but more gold.

Archangel Barnaby's body is covered in white, tan, brown, and gold feathers. He has living Barnaby's face with yellow eyes and gray beak and a nice, fluffy, soft plumage, but ghost Barnaby's overall shape, including elongated neck and generally long appendages. The most original aspect about him is his wings, which are purely seraphic white and gold with a hint of lavender toward the tips (think Safer Sephiroth).

His waistcoat is a pristine ivory white with hints of pink, lavender, and gold in the accents. I want it to be very fancy. His bow tie is tied into a nice bow while the ribbon lies in layers like a jabot. You can't see it, but at his waist is a belt and sheath for his mighty blade, the Divine Intervention. With this, he shall destroy all evil who threatens his friends and family.

I wanted to take on the daunting task of making a completely silly character like Barnaby a badass while still keeping him somewhat imposing and also loveable. I wanted to take almost every aspect about him and turn it up to eleven. I hope you like my concept.

As promised to @meldowiseau, this is Ré. He's Seve's dad in my continuity, ex-husband of Serra. He works as a mechanic and likes to spend an absurd amount of time talking to Seve at the dinner table about the weird people who come to his garage. He usually wears a white wife beater or tank top underneath some sort of flannel shirt or open button-up.

I forgot to mention a while back that my bird child did, in fact, arrive in the mail. I wanted him because he looked neat. Haven't had him absorb any sunlight, so I can test out the glow in the dark stuff, but I'm just glad he made it home safe and sound, and he can sit atop my shelf and stare down at me murderously as I sleep. I feel safe knowing he's there that way.

A Mother's Premonition

The following story is a sequel to The Goat of My Dreams and follows the same continuity as the Billie's Adventures in Friendship series (now renamed Billie and Seve's Adventures in Love and Friendship). The characters of Billie Bust Up are not present but are mentioned within. Enjoy!

Just completed my first flawless run of the Tower of Anxiety in Corn Kidz 64. Just goes to show that with enough practice, it can be done.

This is Trevor Coleman. He's an OC I made for a one-shot I'm working on for Corn Kidz 64. This nerdy donkey boy is Seve's college room mate, a young man who prides himself in perfection. But he's not necessarily happy with his life. The story I'm writing fits into the Billie's Adventures in Friendship continuity and he will be introduced later on.

This is Serra, my concept for Seve’s mom. She has a pretty dark backstory with Seve that I won’t get into here, but my concept for her is basically “a washed up goat mom Courtney Love”, a little punky, a little greasy and unkempt, a bit on the crazy side. She likes to paint the tips of her hoof hands as if they have fingernails on them.

I hope this is able to hold you guys over while I continue to write more Corn Kidz and Billie Bust Up stuff. I got more down the pipeline but I’m trying to build up a nice catalog so I can release content in bursts again. Expect another dry week but know that you will be rewarded for your patience.
