Hey again.
I’m still wary of tumblr’s TOS shenaniganry, but I think I will share some pieces that are definitely safe and won’t get me flagged again. After I stopped posting I lost the ability/interest to create new art, so going forward I think I need to at least keep posting some art. Also Deviantart isn’t as social these days as it was once.

Ok everyone so a couple of my pieces got flagged for adult content crimes now and basically I’m going to discontinue keeping an art blog on this site as a lot of the pieces I’ve been working on will violate the new TOS.
I will continue to post on deviantart, where I am heartsyhawk. But even though most of what I do will probably not be affected I’m really frustrated by this entire new policy and the absolute garbage way the staff has implemented it. I don’t really want to continue generating content on a site that is doing these things.
I’m leaving the blog as an archive for now (though I am taking down the content Tumblr doesn’t want here), but I may fully delete in the coming days.

I’ve decided to do something different this October. Usually I do ‘inktober’ but I want to work on my digital art, so I’ll be doing what I’m casually and affectionately calling ‘arttober’ this year.
What that means is I’ll be posting 31 pictures, and I will actually post all 31 here this year. Last year I did it on instagram, but forgot to cross post them here. For simplicity sake I’m going to just do the lineart or black and whites, but there’s a few pieces I fully intend to actually finish. If there’s any you particularly like, and want to see colored and finished please let me know.
That said I am absolutely not working off a prompt list for these. So they’ll be multi-fandom and multi-thematic and some original art with the only guaranteed connecting thread being that it was my hand that drew them. But it should be lots of fun! I’ll post the first three days worth shortly!

Wanda Maximoff has always been a favorite of mine in her every incarnation. They’re all pretty special but my absolute favorite design for her came from X-Men Evolution.
I am absolutely delighted with how well she turned out.

I adore Blue from Jurassic World. She’s such a good girl! In my head I call her Blue Grady (because Chris Pratt’s Owen Grady hand raised her) and I hope to see more of my girl in the next JW movies.

I initially just started with MerMai but I heard that it was Maiko week and I haven’t contributed to a ship week in a long time so I added in Zuko for cuddles.
Side note: It has been literal actual years since I drew either Mai or Zuko and while I’m not a grandmaster, I can tell who they are meant to be and I’m pretty pleased with the result.

MerMay 2018 - Merrill

So I’ve seen MerMay content for a lot of dragon age characters. Mostly Anders and Fenris and that’s always super great.
But I wanted MerMerrill.
And because the only thing stopping me from self indulgent art is a tablet that could probably use a new cord in the near future, I did the thing.
Not my best shading work, but I’m mostly happy with it. I gave Merrill the black sclera that they had in initial concept art because it’s cool and also fangs because I like my Mermaids more monster girl than Disney version.
And I included both of Thedas’s moons because unlike certain cowardly developers I love and appreciate multi-moon settings.
