“The inner child” one of pop psychology’s greatest methods in keeping an entire generation stuck in the mind of a child by justifying all of it’s behaviors whether they are bad or good as necessary for the inner child. Which largely ignores that not a single person had an idyllic childhood, no one had the childhood they feel that they deserved. But it doesn’t absolve you from living in the world, and letting life take it’s course.

Especially when you have hazy memory and live half plugged out of reality lol. I genuinely have been stressing out over my car insurance running out anytime soon (maybe it already has and I’ve been driving illegally???) and after 3 weeks of agony I finally got the guts to check and it will update in august :/
Adulthood is much more minmaxxing than I’d like it to be
