I'LL GET THE COFFEE - CHAPTER ONE

Author's Note; SURPRISE, here is the first chapter on here for all you lovely people to read! The rest of the chapters will be on Wattpad and Patreon but we wanted you all to get to read the opening of a story that we have worked so hard on! Enjoy x

The light in the room was still dark when Olivia awoke, not the kind of middle of the night darkness but that dusky darkness that normally she would feel grateful for opening up her eyes at this time just so she could snuggle back under the covers for a little bit longer before her alarm went off. The sound of the slight chirping of birds could be heard outside of the large arched windows, not the cooing annoying sound that normally comes from the pigeons sat upon the roof terrace that sweeps around the floor above, but like the little sound of some robin or even a blackbird or wren however with the banging currently inside Olivia's head she really wished for complete silence.

She had drank too much last night. Correction; she had drunk over her body weight in alcohol. She knew this especially after the 4th or 5th shot of tequila and the way she replayed 'Man I Feel Like A Woman' for the third time on her and Celeste's spotify playlist whilst dancing upon the solid wooden dining table, after bringing the party indoors when the night became too cold for even the large industrial sized patio heaters that the girls had acquired when the pub changed to new ones.

She was always a fan of New Year's Eve. She wasn't sure why, it wasn't that she was this big romantic who dreamt and wished for the clock to strike midnight for her to lock lips with the one she longed for and sparks explode internally while fireworks exploded outside. She didn't think that way, which was a complete contrast to CeeCee and was probably why the girls were so inseparable, they were polar opposites at times, but like they say opposites attract. They were ying and yang, sweet and spicy, the sun and moon.

It was more the way it was a celebration to end the year, the memories they had were reminisced and the mistakes they had made put to bed before welcoming in a brand new chapter, a clean page as such to start off the next year however she deemed fit. She loved how therapeutic it was to be able to wake up on the 1st January and be able to look at the next year as hers to make however she wanted.

Yet she wished she could remember more of her choices for the first almost eight hours of 2023, the drunken haze that fogs her brain feels too chaotic right now as she lifts her heavy head and looks towards the clock, groaning at the early hour while wishing and hoping she could just sleep for a little while longer to hopefully wake up feeling a bit more spritely than she does right now.

However she is sharply brought back to reality as she settles back onto the pillow feeling a shift behind her, a familiar arm draped over her stomach in an unfamiliar setting as he brings himself to rest directly behind her, his head upon her pillow, his breath fanning upon her bare shoulder as she becomes quickly aware of her lack of clothes and his for that matter as his voice rasps "good morning Liv".

"Please just leave" Liv speaks out as she quickly throws on the oversized hoodie that was sat upon her oversized grey plush chair in the corner of the room, after dragging on the vest top and sweatpants that she had been wearing to prep the day before, screwed up next to her bed.

She didn't care that these clothes were covered in her sweat from the day before or the remnants of the ingredients she had used to bake up a few sweet treats for the evening, she was planning on burning her clothes and bedding anyway once Dec left her room, not to mention covering her whole body in bleach to try and remove any trace of him off her skin.

"Rushing me now are you?" he smirked as he pulled up the tight black jeans he had been wearing the night before over the boxers he had been sauntering around in while trying to locate his clothes "last night you were begging me to take my time" he quips with a cheeky look in his eye as Liv tries to look anywhere but towards him.

She knew she was drunk but she didn't realise she was this drunk. It was a standing joke between her and CeeCee that Dec had been trying to get into Liv's pants for years. Even when he was in his teens and Liv was a bartender in her 20's at the pub round the corner which his best mate's family owned, he would always try and flirt with her then. She would always remark 'over my dead body' however as she feels the way her heart is practically beating out her chest in shock, she is sure she isn't dead, but it doesn't mean she isn't on her way to an untimely death, she would prefer that over having to explain to anyone that she had actually slept with him.

"Well funnily enough I can't remember much of last night" she starts to speak as he smirks.

"I'm sure I could tell you bits if you fancy reminiscing, like the way you were moaning my name" he says as he steps closer to her, pulling his white t-shirt back over his head "or the way you got down on your knees and had my -"

Liv cuts him off "I also would prefer not to remember thank you" she said holding her finger over his lips to stop him speaking as he places a light kiss upon her finger before she pulls it away in disgust.

Dec scoffs "you loved my lips all over you -" he starts as Liv grips onto his shoulders and turns him around towards the door as he lets out a laugh.

"Goodbye Declan" she speaks loudly as she reaches for the door handle, opening it up before checking to see if there is any movement around, but CeeCee's door is still closed.

She rushes Dec over to his shoes, holding open the front door for him as he smiles looking up at her as he places his black and white Nike trainers back on his feet "so you don't fancy getting breakfast?" he asks her as she rolls her eyes.

"No thank you Declan, it's time for you to leave" she reminds him as he stands up, his over 6ft stature towering over her small 5'5 frame as she looks up at him.

He leans forward placing a kiss upon her cheek before she can move as he smiles against her cheek before speaking into her ear "I had a really good night Liv, maybe we can do it again sometime" he remarks before pulling back, his blue eyes sparkling towards her bloodshot pupils.

"In your dreams" she scoffs as he smirks at her, heading out of the door before stepping down the stairs that lead to the front door.

"Oh don't you worry Liv, I'll be replaying this in my mind till the end of time babe" he winks at her before disappearing down the stairs as Liv shuts the door quietly behind him, leaning her back against it and then her head as she closes her eyes, tilting her head up towards the high alcove ceiling for just a moment.

All she needed now was to wash him off of her skin and remove his scent or any traces of the night from her bedroom and then she hoped she could possibly just sleep away this nightmare and when she would awake it would really all just be a bad dream.

As Liv makes her way towards her bedroom door she hears CeeCee's door click, her face looking towards Liv's as she smiles "so has Dec gone then?" CeeCee asks as Liv mutters a quiet 'fuck' under her breath while looking down before looking back at her best friend.

"Can you interrogate me later please? I really need to shower and sort myself out" Liv pleads with CeeCee as she just stands smiling at her, grinning even at the hilarity of the situation.

"How about you get yourself sorted and I will go and get the coffee?" CeeCee says as she steps fully outside of her room, reaching for her trainers, knowing that their local cafe that the girls always got their morning drinks and snacks from was opening up early on this New Year's Day morning "and when I get back we can unpick some of last night, okay?" she asks her with a smile.

"Dunno what I'd do without you" Liv said as she stepped into her room.

"You wouldn't survive," CeeCee said with a grin as she stepped outside the front door, leaving Liv alone with her thoughts.

"So let's put it this way, I remember like 10 minutes to midnight when Mason brought out the vodka jelly shots and after that it's a complete and utter blur" Liv said, taking a sip of the overly sweet yet bitter double shot honeycomb latte that CeeCee had brought back from her.

In the space of time of Celeste leaving the top floor apartment in West Kensington that was home for the girls, to make the short walk to the coffee shop on the high street Olivia had managed to strip her bed and all her clothes off of her body and throw everything into the washing machine. She had sauntered around the house naked thinking she had practically lost all her shame now she'd slept with the one man she told everyone she never would so she may as well throw her dignity out of the window too.

She showered and washed her hair, the whole of her body, twice, before finally stepping out and taking a good look at herself in the mirror. It was only then she spotted the slight marks on her neck, it looked a bit like finger marks as she felt her mind flash back to something but before it could reach the surface she pushed it back down.

She washed and scrubbed her face, including her collarbone where a bite mark was present on her skin, once again reminding her that she needs to cover herself up for a while to stop herself from thinking about what had happened before she brushed her teeth and tied up her sopping wet hair.

She found herself some clothes as CeeCee was walking in the door, heading upstairs to the mess that was left from the night before. She could see Liv had been upstairs but hadn't done anything to get rid of any of the remnants of the crazy night the girls had had, but she couldn't blame her really.

If she was being honest, she couldn't believe that Liv had actually gone to bed with Dec, she knew she wanted to tease her about it at some point, just like the way Liv had ended up teasing her about her recent indiscretion, but like always the girls had rules when it came to this.

1. Make sure that everything was fine, be there for one another and listen and offer heartfelt advice when they could, by doing anything in their power to help out and make things right and 2. Once the dust had settled and it wasn't so raw, do not miss out on the opportunity to completely rinse the other one for what they had done until the end of time.

"So you don't remember midnight then?" CeeCee said laughing, bringing up her cherry chocolate mocha that she had opted for this morning, needing a sugar hit from her own night previous.

"I'm sure I snogged you didn't I?" said Liv laughing as CeeCee nodded laughing too "and I have a strong feeling I might have kissed everyone else" Liv continues putting her hand over her face in shame, something that she was not used to feeling.

"That you did Olivia" CeeCee smirks at her, reminding herself of the way Liv stepped in as her and Ben were very awkwardly looking at each other and the level of alcohol that they had both had somehow made it seem like a good idea for them to just have an innocent kiss but Liv was her normal whirlwind self and quickly grabbed Ben by the collar kissing him before moving onto Abby who she worked with causing CeeCee to snap out of her thoughts. She was sure there was enough damage from that one night in December, she didn't need to add another incident.

"Oh god I kissed Jess and Jord didn't I?" Liv said with a slight smirk on her face, thinking if she doesn't laugh about this then she might just cry.

"Yes" CeeCee said, trying to hold back her laugh, the alcohol in her system still coursing through allowing her to see the funny side in this rather than scold Liv "Jess said to me 'it's not the first time them two have snogged'".

"Oh for fuck sake" Liv said giggling as she gets another flashback in her mind "oh shit, I kissed Dec didn't I?!" finally the ball dropping that CeeCee had been dying to tell Liv herself.

"Yep you did" CeeCee laughs "you literally walked up to him as Ivy had her arms wrapped around his neck and grabbed her face kissing her and then grabbed his and did the same" she tells her as Liv laughs, burying her face into her shoulder as she gets a flashback of this even more vividly.

CeeCee didn't want to tell her how before she came along Ivy had kissed his lips and he had returned the favour, her hands all over him and their eyes locked on one another yet the second Liv kissed him it was like Ivy was a figment of his imagination that he instantly forgot, and it was all about Liv like it always had been for him.

CeeCee was sure she saw hearts in his eyes the moment Liv flitted onto the next person as he then went on to follow her around like a puppy dog for the next 30 odd minutes before CeeCee called it a night as the rest of the group dispersed too.

"Shit" Liv said looking at CeeCee "this was a really really bad idea right? like he's not going to let me forget about this and just go back to like normal?" she said as she looked for reassurance from her usually level headed best friend.

"Honestly, no he is never going to let you live this down babe" CeeCee said smirking "and I have to ask, but do you really think it could go back to normal?" she asks Liv as Liv frowns at her "like this boy has fancied you for years, I can't see him just getting over it that quickly".

Liv shakes her head, this is complete nonsense, Dec has just always played up on a silly crush that he had once upon a time, it was never any more than that "Well he will have to get over it, because its never ever happening again" Liv said as she stood from her spot on the comfy emerald sofa, taking her empty coffee cup into the kitchen, ultimately ending the conversation about him as she really doesn't want to think about it.

Plus she needs to get this house tidied, a tidy house equals a tidy mind and all that crap she thinks. Yet as she goes to pick up the plate on the side, a handful of half eaten strawberries and a smattering of melted chocolate on the white porcelain she is once again brought right back to the night before.

"Bet they taste good Liv" said Dec as he hand fed a chocolate covered strawberry into Liv's mouth as she stood leaning against the brick wall that divided the kitchen to the living room, the music now only playing faintly as all the other guests had gone home and CeeCee had gone to bed leaving only the two of them still awake after he volunteered to help tidy up.

Liv licks her lips as she smiles, the melted chocolate ganache that Dec had quickly whipped up in his drunken state was like heaven in her mouth after only tasting bitter tequila or sickly sweet shots. She looked up at him as he stood close to her, towering over her slightly as he placed the plate onto the side.

"Mmhm" she replied with a smirk as she reached to the side, picking the last strawberry up and placing it against Dec's lips, tapping it once as he opened up his mouth to take a bite. The sweet pink liquid oozed out of the side of his lip as Liv instinctively reached her finger up to wipe it before bringing it into her own mouth to lick clean.

"So good" Dec mumbled out as Liv pulled her finger out with a pop, her hand coming down to brush against the side of his body before resting on his waist as his hand that had been holding the plate acted on impulse and reached out to the side of her face, tilting her chin up to look directly at him as they stared into each other's eyes, drunken smiles on both of their faces before Dec spoke again.

"But I bet you taste better".
