Mars has always had 'death by a thousand cuts' as its last and most effective defence mechanism. Which is poetic and heart-breaking as fuck, because it boils down to Reds and their connection to Mars and how steadfast and dedicated they can be. Loyalty, pure and simple. All-enduring.
All in all, I am not looking forward to its utter obliteration via Eidmi, while Darrow is unaware or finds out, but it's too late to do anything. It's top 10 anime betrayals for sure. Because that is what it is - Darrow doesn't know and he could have and prepared. Even if he failed - which we cannot know - he should have been informed.
