With the General Election called for the 4th of July here in the UK, I want to make it perfectly clear to the two main political parties, Labour and Conservative, that harassing and invalidating the identity and existence of Trans people, WON'T FIX BRITAIN.

Andreja Pejić (born 28 August 1991) is a Bosnian-Australian model. Before coming out as a trans woman in late 2013, she was known as the first completely androgynous supermodel. Today, she is one of the most recognisable transgender models in the world.

Captain Hannah Graf (née Winterbourne) is an Officer of the British Army serving with the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. She is a decorated Officer, having deployed to Afghanistan, Kenya and Canada. In 2013 she came out as a transgender woman and became one of the highest ranking trans-soldiers in the British Army. She met fellow transperson Jake Graf in 2015 and married him in 2017. In 2019, she was awarded an MBE in the 2019 New Years Honours, receiving the award from HRH The Duke of Cambridge.  

Caroline Paige (born in Wallasey, 1959). Flight Lieutenant Paige was the first transgender officer to serve openly in the UK Armed Forces. As a pilot before her transition in 1999, she intercepted Soviet aircraft and was involved in the Gulf War and Bosnia Conflict.

Laura Jane Grace (born in Fort Benning, 8 November 1980) is an American musician best known as the founder, lead singer, songwriter and guitarist of the punk rock band Against Me!. In addition to Against Me!, Grace fronts the band Laura Jane Grace & The Devouring Mothers, a solo project she started in 2016.

Chelsea Manning (born 17 December 1987 in Oklahoma), is an American activist and whistle-blower. She is a former US soldier who was court-martialed and convicted in July 2013 of violations of the Espionage Act and other offences, after disclosing nearly 750,000 classified, or unclassified but sensitive, military and diplomatic documents.

Rhyannon Styles is a columnist, author, performer and model. She began her transition at the age of 30 in 2012 and in 2017, launched the ‘Stand Up Stand Out’ beauty campaign in collaboration with The Body Shop. 

Stephanie Hirst was born in Barnsley, England, and is a radio and television presenter who currently works for BBC Radio Leeds. She came out publicly as a woman and talked about her transition on 11 October 2014 during an interview with Stephen Nolan on BBC Radio 5 Live.  In July 2016, she was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from Leeds Beckett University for her LGBT activism, and nominated for a British LGBT Award in the ‘Top 10 LGBT+ Celebrity’ category in February 2017.

Juno Dawson (born 10 July 1981 in Yorkshire, England) is an author of young adult fiction and non-fiction, including This Book is Gay, Margot & Me, and The Gender Games.

Kellie Maloney (born Francis Maloney in 1953) is a British boxing manager and promoter who managed Lennox Lewis to the undisputed heavyweight championship of the world. In August 2014, Maloney announced that she wished to be known as “Kellie” and that she was undertaking gender reassignment.

Jennifer Finney Boylan (born June 22, 1958) is an American author, transgender activist and reality television personality who is a professor at Barnard College of Columbia University and a contributing opinion writer for the New York Times.  Her 2003 autobiography, She’s Not There: A Life in Two Genders, was the first book published by an openly transgender American to become a bestseller.

Laverne Cox (born May 29, 1972) is an American actress who rose to prominence as Sophia Burset in the series “Orange is the New Black”, becoming the first openly Trangender person to be nominated for an Emmy in an acting catagery.

Rebecca Root, (born 10 May 1969) is an English actress and stand-up comedian. She was rated 18th in The Independent on Sunday’s Rainbow List 2014, which named her as one of the very few openly trans actresses in mainstream television.  

Paris Lees, is an English journalist, presenter, and transgender rights activist. She topped the Independent on Sunday’s 2013 Pink List, came second in the 2014 Rainbow List, and was awarded the Positive Role Model Award for LGBT in the 2012 National Diversity Awards.
