Character #8 : shinji

Stand-offish and spiteful, Shinji has hardly made a name for himself as a good friend to anybody but Leist. To many in the military, he is a good soldier and an efficient ally - but friendly? Far from it.

In truth, Shinji sticks beside Leist as if the two were brothers, following him and serving him as if he owes the man his life. When asked about this - Shinji would snap that is nobody's business but his own.

Character #7: Leist

The mysterious arcane mage came from the far north when he was a child ; taken by the Sharde military and put to work as a soldier almost immediately. His magic abilities have him a valuable asset for the military - though many still don't understand Leist and as such, many stay far from him.

Quiet and thoughtful, Leist has a connection to the planet many would think to be imaginative. He feels the spirits of those around him and channels the dead. His connection to the other worlds would have many feel uneasy around him.

Character #6 : Eric Gull

The youngest member of the team, Eric joined the military after his hopes of becoming a chef seemed a little too far from his grasp. A lover rather than a fighter, he pools his efforts into getting to know those around him and more-so, learn more about the foods of the world!

His passion for food and cooking drives him though one has to wonder if the interest is a distraction to the awfulness that surrounds him. Fearful, he sometimes distracts himself from the turn of his stomach with the taste of some well-made food.

Perhaps, with the other men's example - he'll come to power through his fear.

Character #5 : gabriel aerhart

"Crazy Gabe" as he's been dubbed, is a skilled pilot and gunner that many would want on their side. Efficient and productive, there aren't many missions that the man can't tackle...or rather, wont tackle-

he's yet to say 'no' to a single mission.

A thrill-seeking adventurer, Gabe finds enjoyment in the awful tasks others wouldn't. Always on the look out for the next insane stunt to pull. He's gained a name for himself as somewhat of a wildcard; skilled but dangerous.

And honestly, he'd not have it any other way.

Character 4; Taag

An infamous former boxer, Taag took to the military in an attempt to serve his country and do his peers proud. Despite it, a certain reputation surrounding him never did quite shift.

A father to his men, Taag looks out for those around him. His stoic and stern refrain does well to demand the respect of those around him though one can never shift the thought from the back of their mind as to what the old boxer used to be.

His past is one he'll forever carry, a heavy burden that weighs his heart down into the pit of his stomach. It's a good thing he's so strong.

Character 3: Sam Kinsky

There's none more controversial than Sam - a journalist who takes his role as propaganda chief with enough seriousness to do the job well. He's used to spinning a story from anything and to make the Sharde military look the best - is easy!

Light-hearted and sarcastic, Sam sees humour in most situations. He views the world through the sceptical lens he wishes the 'common folk' would & is always expecting his own demise around the next corner.

Despite his uncaring demeanour, Sam can't help the scrunch of his nose when reading his own articles or seeing the spin of his own web - though never admitting it, he is, of course, disgusted by his own hypocrisy.

Character 2: Kaius Trevall

Kaius Trevall serves as the teams medic - a man hailing from the (now lost) eastern lands, Kaius is a friendly, compassionate sort. A man whose heart beats for others.

So why the hell did he join the military? The very same military that persecuted his people and took a part in the demise of his home?

Kaius acts as the heart of the team, he keeps a keen eye on those around him and wants only to support them in their mission. Within a man so kind and (outwardly) carefree, exists a subtle sadness.

Character 1 : Magnar Valerio

The main character of Expedition 0, Magnar Valerio is a Samurai soldier with a reputation for getting shit done. He's strong, stoic and brave. Renown as a hero to some and a nepotism baby to others. His father, Magnar Valerio I - is the General of the Sharde Military. Some of the more sceptical men have taken to accusing Magnar of being spoilt and getting away with a violent temper due to his father's position.

Magnar would deny this and largely, to avoid drama, keeps to himself. His is a physical force to be reckoned - a man taught since childhood to withhold emotion. Aside from, of course, anger.

The son of a military General - Magnar Valerio II has been considered a hero by many due to his feats during the great war. A war that took half of the world and left only the continent of Sharde as the only functioning haven for those still alive. All other countries to lose the war now stand in ruin, plagued by disease & famine. However, the winners did not get off so lightly either - with a murky black approaching the land and rations low - the military decides to send a group of soldiers on an expedition in search of additional land and resources...

however, they may find more than they're looking for.

Discover the world as Magnar and his team as they journey to the north. 

This is a story and character-focused game, with a heavy emphasis on the writing and character interactions. The gameplay is a traditional rpg style.
