the main reason i was only half convinced they would in fact do a stream today is we know nothing stresses dan out more than being live. he has a lot of fun doing them but the idea of not being able to edit anything out really does get to him, for obvious and understandable reasons, and so while half of me figured it would make a lot of sense for them to do a stream - mainly because it's very dan and phil to consider that Fair, doing a stream on phil's bday means they gotta do one on dan's, as well as it's been enough time since the last one for people to have money to donate again - the other half was like ok they might not, and that would be understandable. but they are! and idk, i just really appreciate that. raising money for palestine is a hugely important and great thing to do regardless, but it's especially heartwarming when you know that being live for two hours is so extremely far down the list of things dan considers a good birthday celebration lol
