Now, you've heard of a new, edgy, mostly unmoderated forum where fellow Norwegians come to talk about US movies. It's modeled after what you assume is a popular U.S. posting format, bulletin boards, and it's named like the site! Instead of Stormfront, it's Stormside. You do not know the significance of this website's title.

Soon, you start seeing people from the USA! They speak Norwegians and they're your friends, even though you're all posting anonymously. (: They're saying a bunch of really, really reactionary stuff about how the USA is, but you know, they're your buddies from the USA! They wouldn't misrepresent the society! From there, whenever the USA comes up, you are now a semi-qualified expert! You tell them that actually, no, an average person from the USA is as far right as it gets and there are no gays or women's rights there. You've been told this by someone from the USA, and you don't speak the language, but you know you're right. Soon, with enough people repeating this, everyone is in agreement about how the USA is, and people who are disagreeing with you are probably some SJWs, misrepresenting a vertiable paradise for an "average person," away from all the social unrest of marginalized people agitating for their rights.

Now, let's terminate this imagination. This is precisely what happened to Anglophones irt Japan and 2ch when 4chan got made, and the current state of how you yankees see Japan.

I think I've made it very clear in every other thing I've written on the subject, but to me, it is exactly "wholesome" portrayals of heterosexual married life, fairy-tale romances, heterosexual love stories and love songs, that have the most insidious and warping effect on the development of children and their capacity to conceptualize sexuality in a healthy way. Indoctrinating boys and girls into the idea that a life that proceeds to heterosexual marriage and childbirth as a default is infinitely more harmful to that child than seeing a man in assless chaps in public
