Monthly Likes / Dislikes

❣️ My Stand-In - I've been liking this a lot and it's probably my favorite bl from this year so far. I was mostly skeptical of the reincarnation trope as I usually don't like that but I like where it's going. The storytelling is excellent, it's comprehensible and sends such good messages, it's subtle, not as in-your-face as other shows, they're not rehashing the same things and every character is believable and well-shaped, down to the smallest side role. The characters are flawed but so well-written that it's just a joy to witness them develop. That being said I wanna give a big shoutout to whoever was in charge of casting because the lineup is really top-tier lol. Every character is on-point thanks to their respective actor; Up is doing so well and also Poom is a very pleasant surprise. I love how expressive he is and him and Up work extremely well as a team imo. Also Mek as Tong is a good choice. Almost forgot what a truly good production looked like lmao. I'm in awe.

❗️ In a week-to-week-release, Be On Cloud announced the cast of the upcoming BL 4 Minutes: Bible Wichapas, Jes Pipat, Bas Asavapatr, Job Yosatorn, Fuaiz Thanawat, Mio Athens, Jet Jetsadakorn & Jjay Patiphan. A release date, as well as further information has not been disclosed.

❗️After the announcement of OhmFluke being the lead actors in the upcoming Korean BL Surfing, their respective managements released a statement saying the news were false and that there was never any contact between the companies nor a request for permission to issue the news.

❗️The annual KAZZ awards were held on May 14th. The following BL actors/productions won:

idk why gmmtv releases these special/documentary /commentary episodes of their shows before they start airing, it should be at the end, right? whatdo you think?

idk it makes sense to give a little intro to the show like what are the characters like and what can we expect from the story etc. but these special episodes are just stupid lol. We get next to no info about the plot because they can't spoil anything so all that's left is the actors giving vague statements about their characters mixed with a ton of annoying editing lol so yeah. it's redundant.

I remember almost not watching The Eclipse because the special episode gave a completely false impression of the show and I hated it so I haven't watched any since lol. I prefer just watching the behind the scenes clips, at least those are informative.

FK and EM did the bare minimum at that company mandated outing. lol They speak to me on such a visceral level. I can only handle a certain level of social interaction before my battery gets used up and then i need to recharge.

what isn't gmmtv outing lmao once a year, typically around March/April/May, the entire company (artists + staff + CEO) goes on a field trip where the trip stands for tripping lmao, basically they just put on silly costumes, play games, do standup comedy or dance performances of various kinds and then it ends in an afterparty with lots of karaoke and twerking. I wish I could be more specific but that's literally it.

the only boo kiss was dead fish and what irritated me the most was that it took them close to an eternity to kind of “properly” touch each other’s lips and the same thing happened during the qtoey kiss. and please, don’t get me wrong i know first kisses tend to be a little awkward and especially sea and keen are rather you h, but both of those kisses just weren’t it in my opinion D:

I don't mind that they waited, every couple has their own pace and that's totally fine, that goes for both kangmoo and qtoey. The kissing is a matter of taste I guess lol I did not like the qtoey one either, it wasn't fitting, neither for the situation nor as a first kiss in general but that's just my opinion. After having seen hundreds of kissing scenes, the ones with seemingly no effort at all just annoy me lol. A first kiss can be awkward but not to the point where it's robotic and weird. but again, just my opinion.
