Daenerys listened to him intently, tilting her head lightly as she considered his words. She had spent enough time with the Fjerdans to know what he meant. They were dangerous, reckless. After the death of her husband, their King, they had attempted to kill her, their rightful Queen, she knew what they were capable of and that they wouldn't stop until they had what they wanted.

The thought of innocents being slaughtered pained her greatly and she chewed on her bottom lip for a moment. Her army was strong but not numerous enough to make the first step towards war. Not even with her dragons. They were not ready, not yet.

"I'm so sorry to hear about this... The Fjerdans are far too reckless to be reasoned with. It is inked into their mind since birth that Grishas represent a danger for them. Which I can understand.. What could a common human call someone who can control fire, wind, stop a heart from beating or even summon shadows? " She would be lying if she said that she didn't feel threatened by them too but after the 'birth' of her dragons, she feared nothing. "Do tell the King that I accept his offer. But I want our armies to work together. My men will train alongside yours but your Grishas must be careful. No powers against my people."

Daenerys should have probably taken some time and talke to her counselor before agreeing to this but the idea of a Powerful army like the Second Army fighting alongside hers, the Grishas and their powers and her skilled Dovoghedhi (the Unsullied) could easily be enough to defeat all their enemies. Plus, his army had been on the front which meant that if they worked together she could have easy access to the Fold.

There probably is something he wants from me in return.” Daenerys would really need more men to fulfill her revenge against the Fjerdans but she had been betrayed in the past and couldn’t risk it happening again. The second army had Grishas, hers were men who only knew how to fight with their swords. “We do have enemies in common….I get that the Fjerdans, along with the Fold are becoming a problem to supply the cities, aren’t they?”

“ Of course… ” He waits for her to walk, to maneuver herself where she wants to stand, where she believes she has some kind of high ground, and then sits where he is offered a place. The King at first did not want to have anything to do with her or her armies, considering her a reckless ally, a volatile one at best. But he had made the old man see reason, painted her out to be a winning combination that might give them the boost they need. In reality, he wanted to make sure that he was in her good graces because he wanted her forces for his own gain. 

“ Simply put, as you’ve mentioned already. We have a common enemy. The situation is dire, and I have been to the front lines, it is only getting worse. The fold is moving, the people are scared and there are endless attacks from those that would wish to take advantage of the situation. Now all of this is not that uncommon, one of these things is always happening, but usually not all of them, not all at once. The king is rightfully concerned and of course, would like your army to fight along with the Second Army. ” 

She was not gullible, not like the rest of the nobles, which was respectable, so he had to play more to the emotional side. “ Fjerdans perceive Grisha power as dangerous and witch-like and thus want to kidnap them, torture them, burn them at the stake. They already do all of these things to my people. We have a very personal reason why your enemies are also our own. I am certain you can see the benefits of the Second Army training with your soldiers? ”

The room was cavernous with tall ceilings that had a few openings where you could see parts of the night sky above and the twinkling of the stars. There was hardly any furniture around, with only a long wooden table, chairs, and a rug placed before the large fireplace. The only sound he could hear was the fire to his back and as he approached the openings to where the windows should be, the city bellow was mostly covered in darkness with small lights glimmering here and there.
