The more life series I watch the more the Divorce Quartet looks like it was always going to be an absolute disaster from the get go. Martyn, Cleo, and Pearl are all known for unhinged, unfiltered, chaos and destruction, being absolutely unpredictable and often kinda scary. That was never going to go well with them all clustered in that way

I think Ren is also a nightmare to deal with when mildly hurt/sick. He's either an absolute drama queen theater kid about the injury/illness itself, or about the vast betrayal of whomever tries to make him stop what he's doing to acknowledge and deal with it. How dare they make him sit down and rest! He only almost passed out twice >:(

Scar and Mumbo have to deal with this too, back on Hermitcraft. He's mildly easier in to deal with in some ways given he's not actively stressed out and on edge already from the whole death games situation, but he's probably even more of a little monster on Hermitcraft because there's a lot less punishment to biting your friends when trust and loyalty aren't a rare resource prone to snapping like twigs at the smallest offense

You know when your cat is limping, but it's a cat so it's not gonna just let you grab it's paw to look at and make sure it's okay? I think Grian would be like that. He'd be a hissy little pest about it if anyone noticed he was displaying signs of being hurt/sick and tries to make sure he was okay

Thinking about that clip where Scar bemoans the tragedy of not always being @ -ed in fanart, my first thought on that has always been "now I kinda want to make a Twitter account just so that I can post fanarts of Scar and @ him on them", but I'm also thinking about like, if it was Cleo or Etho or Grian or Mumbo or anyone I've ever been properly fixated on an like. I think I would just die, actually

It would have to be art specifically drawn with the intent for them to see, or else it's all just way too self indulgent drawings I'd never want them to see (like the roomies cuddles and the avian!mumbo and all of that...) That's got little pieces of my soul in it, and I cannot imagine one of the CCs knowing that depth of me. That would be weird.

They only get to see the bland cool or silly looking stuff, nothing soft or domestic or cute or vulnerable. ever.

That's so scary

To me, Hermitcraft Grian is very clingy and cuddly and pestery and generally very enthusiastically affectionate, to the exasperation and inconvenience of his friends and neighbors, with much pouncing and perching upon his friends and fellow hermits in general, as well as tackling and bowling them over, flopping down on or next to them, etc

Life Grian though feels a lot more socially reserved and touch averse to me, persnickety about social taboos ("put your clothes back on!"), and generally less physically affectionate and trusting all around. I think he's more of a joking and bantering and playful shoving/punch to the arm sort person, but quickly gets uncomfortable and overwhelmed when approached with more involved affection than that (except in high energy situations like a really cool explosion, then you get jump hugged again)

I think it's a level of stress thing, and he'd probably get evasive around touch if adequately stressed on Hermitcraft too, or vice versa get more cuddly when with a team he trusts and can fully relax around on Life Series.

I am very obsessed with Cleo's ongoing internal battle between wanting to see the world burn (literally and metaphorically) just for the fun of it, vs being actually a pretty sympathetic person who feels bad every time they upset anyone (with out provocation anyways)

I keep thinking it would be fun to maybe try and get together a handful of mutuals to do a little life series Minecraft world thing together just for fun, but maybe it's a good thing that I probably couldn't handle the time and social management for that, because lore-wise I think I would make a rather silly and pathetic Mod Of The Death Games

at least Grian can be cool and destructive and dramatic and stuff when he wants to be, I think I would basically be like if Jimmy were running things in comparison

I love drawing Cleo as big and sturdy and intimidating, but I also need to draw her as small and silly and shy more often too, because I do love that side of her as well

I love when Minecraft YouTubers acknowledge each other's skins/brands of being nonhuman, like Cleo and others chatting about what it's like to be a zombie

I freaking love when the big scary intimidating snarky and sarcastic characters that everyone else fears are also awkward and anxious and shy. That's the best thing ever, I think

Cleo's squeaky voices are so funny, I love when she just pulls that out of nowhere

It's so funny watching Life Series and randomly recognizing lines from the Evil Anvil songs. First several times it was so jarring and distracting

Feeling something about how Etho gets so ruffled and panicked(?) once Cleo dies in Last Life. The next time they see him he's invisible, hiding up in the tower with his bow and tossing out threats, like a hissing and spitting wild animal backed in a corner. Then Cleo says "I'm not going to hurt yoou, Etho" and he just drops it all in an instant with an "oh, okay :]" and tells her to come up to where he is.

He's still tense and tells them not to pull any funny business, but once he realizes it's Cleo and Ren, his teammates from just earlier in the session, he's a lot less scared of them, even though they're still very much Red, and he's still very much one of only two Yellow targets still left alive. He still trusts their survivors alliance from having been some of the last Yellows together

Etho's behavior throughout Last Life is just. So fascinating and baffling and just plain weird. He's always playing these weird games and navigating this invisible web of logic that only makes sense to himself and it is so fascinating to watch
