Day 18: Human Version of the Turtles

My attempt at Human Donnie from @indieyuugure ’s Mutation Situation.
I might not remember much about 2012 and will have to give it a rewatch (I binged it all a while ago but it just blurred together and I barely caught a thing), but I do know that this is one of the more interesting 2012 fan made comics I’ve seen. (It stands right beside Frightclaw’s crossover comic to me.)
I highly recommend it. It’s going really well (*crossing my fingers because of course there’s no angst going on. No, no. You can’t tell me I’m lying*).
Yes the pose is by mellon_soup very obviously.

Can I just say that I adore how you draw hands??? Your anatkmy in genetal is top tier but the way you draw hands in particular just look so detailed and yet so simple and awesome~ if u dont mind my asking, what exactly is your technique for drawing them? Plz dont torture Leo too much with his stitches.

Thank you! ^v^ I was not always great at drawing hands, so I’m glad to hear there has been much improvement!
Techniques? Well, here’s a tutorial I made a few weeks ago on some of the techniques I use HERE
I think most of what I’d say about drawing hands is allow them to be fluid at first and then sketch over them with actual lines and then details. Keeping them fluid helps to first capture the vibes/energy you want so that when you add on the detail it’s exactly what you want :]
Lol, don’t worry Leo is super passed out, doesn’t feel anything and will wake up in much better condition (I mean he’ll still feel crappy but nothing like “I might die” crappy).
Hopefully that tutorial helps, you can also always send another message if you want more specific details explained :]

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to get over panicked Raph.
Like this more would give the world for his brothers and seeing them in pain is probably just as painful for him.
He rarely ever shows emotion this strong but when he he’s he DOES like holy shiz

Babe def broke a rib or something god dammit it 😭
He did yes, the adrenaline is numbing a lot of the pain, so all he feels is an aching pain when he breathes and probably a weird tingling in his chest.
It probably also feels tight from the swelling but I’d be surprised if he could tell the difference between that the feeling of fighting panic.

Also, no sorry you won’t see basically any of Leo actually getting fixed up. The next episode basically only contains Donnie picking up a suturing needle and fixing a light with Master Splinter supervising(and on standby if Don couldn’t do it).
And yes. You will see Master Splinter’s reaction to all of this because, just as a reminder, Splinter knows nothing of this “formula” thing.
The next part will be much less intense I promise you that.
