/ooc; Ugh, please someone yell at me to get off Tumblr and work on FuruMiyu because FuruMiyu week starts tomorrow (technically now, considering it's midnight BUT LET'S NOT GET TECHNICAL) and I'm not even half done with the first prompt (the prompt is first time though and I've never really written a lot of this sort of stuff but a special someone is expecting good things from me and I cannot let her down). Like, nag at me to get the hell away from Tumblr and Twitter because these things are incredibly distracting but also hard to get away from.

FURUMIYU WEEK
After collaborating with kawakaminori and thelifemusical, I’m proud to announce:
FuruMiyu Summer Koshien (July 21 - July 27)
A 7 day event dedicated to all things FuruMiyu! Each day will contain a different theme and question for this ship. Prompts can be answered through fanfic, fanarts, fanmixes, gifs, etc! Anything as long as it celebrates FuruMiyu.

Was he practicing for an actual baseball game? That seemed like plausible reason enough to join in on the fun. Flickering wisps of chestnut colored hair aside, Miyu realized with dissatisfaction that her opponent had her under intense scrutiny. Did he see her as weak? Incapable of catching even the simplest of throws? Are you kidding me…? Am I supposed to let a wee ball…scare me like that…? What an absurd notion! Miyu Yamano was not walking away from this field without a fight. Even if it meant walking back to her dorm with blood on her shirt and a limp in her step. Although, the thought of being undermined by a human, no less, angered her beyond comparison. "Do you doubt me…?" The adolescent inquired, canting her head slightly to the side. "You needn’t worry about me. I’m not going anywhere. Just show me what you truly are capable of doing.” Was she perhaps playing with fire? Possibly. But the thought of it sent a burst of adrenaline coursing through her veins.
Although still somewhat doubtful, he would give her the benefit of the doubt. Honestly, he really did want to pitch; he hadn't gotten the chance to pitch properly since he left his high school team, so he was honestly starving to throw. Furuya would need to warm up his shoulder before being able to throw properly, and--and this girl needed protective gear and catcher's mitt before he could even attempt to pitch to her. While he had the ball and his own glove, he was missing those things necessary for a catcher. It would be entirely too dangerous to pitch the way he liked to someone unprotected (unless that someone was a particular catcher from his old team, then it was fine) and without a mitt (not even Miyuki could catch without one), so they were at a bit of a standstill.
"You need the right equipment first; I would rather not hurt you."

"..." His interest was captured quickly, but upon inspection of the one offering to catch for him, he couldn't help but have a few... doubts about this. Furuya was aching, starving to throw, but he didn't want to cause any accidental injuries from his out of the ordinarily powerful pitches. Only two--both former catchers from the first string of his old high school team. But... He really wanted to throw, and pitching to a net was hardly exciting as throwing to an actual person. Still, he wanted to make sure this girl knew what she was getting into here. "...Are you sure about that?"
Catch a pitch…? As in baseball, correct? Truth be told, she hadn’t given the sport much thought or attention. Besides its popularity in the region, Miyu was more inclined to watch the players from a safe distance. Today, however, she felt a little more daring in her pursuit of knowledge. "I just might be able to catch your pitch." Simple enough, right? Catching the ball was her sole purpose here.
