How did Miss Duncan die!? I need to know how one dies by way of scarf. Was this just a throwaway line for comedic effect?

Isadora Duncan was a real person - a renowned dancer - and sadly that was a real thing that happened. A scarf she was wearing around her neck became entangled in the axle of a car she was riding in.

Mitzi was, in her morbid way, commiserating with her story, as she'd been mired in tragedy and things the media deemed quite scandalous in the years prior to her death.

Ivy's nearly as naturally impudent as Rocky, and flaps around at an illicit saloon late at night to the jazz music. Nina's got rather more, uh, Victorian sensibilities. So, likely not.

We know that Rocky and Mitzi's relationship is platonic, but why is Rocky so obsessive at times, like at the end of volume one and start of volume two when Wick starts to come in the picture more? Is it because she is the only person who first started tolerating and being nice to Rocky when he went back to St. Louis? or is there another reason?

Why is Mordecai bald in the pilot? Did the Savoys shave him as a prank?

Nah. We wanted Mordecai to look older and more put-together relative to Rocky and Freckle, so we smoothed him out some. It also gives us the opportunity to muss his hair up at opportune moments (as you can see his fluff returned after the incident at the quarry). It was a visual contrast thing, really.
