Something I’ve been thinking about a lot lately is superhero universes where someone ends up with the wrong powers. Like not even “oh they got powers that are dangerous to them or those around them” like Rogue or Beak or whatever. No, they got great powers with no drawbacks, just the wrong ones.

Like they want more than anything to fly and end up with super speed instead. Or they want super speed and get laser eyes. You get this once-in-a-lifetime, on-in-a-million chance that basically nobody gets, you have abilities far and above those of other people and they’re not the ones you actually want.
