Blue Añil, also called Añil Modamo, bluing, and indigo, is a tool commonly used in Hoodoo and Santeria. It has many purposes, such as being able to purify and cleanse a space when used as a wash or placed on an altar, for gambling, as a scrying tool, and to bring in good energy to a space. It is said to also enhance you spiritually as well. I leave a bowl of indigo water on my altar! Its mundane purpose is to whiten clothing as well.

Hello. Apologies if this is an offensive question, but how would I go about putting a curse on someone?
It’s not offensive at all! No worries! It’s definitely a little deep though. I don’t know the situation you’re in that has caused you to feel the need to ask this question, but I’ll be general about it.
First things first is please don’t just take my advice. Do your own research as well as seek out trusted resources when it comes to baneful practices.
The most important part of baneful practices is how to protect yourself. Doing baneful magic can drain you terribly and some people believe that curses can backfire onto you. I do not believe in backfiring or the three-fold law or anything, but I still like to keep myself from feeling drained and exhausted. I set up protections for myself before and after I do baneful magic and I take cleansing afterwards very seriously. I’ll even shower sometimes if it’s an extremely powerful or draining hex or curse, but now that I’ve established that, let me go over some tips for cursing.
These are what worked for me: charge the curse with negative energy. Put in bad vibes from yourself and make it messy. You can flush spell ingredients (only if safe to do so) down the toilet filled with human waste when you’re done to make it extra nasty. I use black candles in my cursing and I have a cursing oil recipe filled with deadly nightshade, rose thorns, and other nasty ingredients (always have to wash my hands after using it!) that I anoint my candles with. Carving your target’s name and intention into the candle is good, or you can do the same, but on a piece of paper. You can burn it, trash it, flush it, anything to send that bad intention out and fulfill your wish.
These are my suggestions, but feel free to add your own flare and make sure you don’t just take my word for it! Happy casting, er, happy cursing!

Well, ain’t this a cute little fire hazard?! Welcome my fully dressed protection and cleansing candle! I definitely had to sit by this one to make sure it didn’t set itself ablaze and it actually did a decent job. I had one scare, but hey, that’s what you keep sand nearby for!
For all witches, always practice fire safety! I do not suggest leaving a candle like this alone.

Florida Water is a spiritual tool that is used throughout many different traditions and practices and is revered for its many abilities. It is used for cleansing, purifying, anointing, blessing, elevation, attraction, and as an offering, amongst many more. Some say it is a great equivalent to holy water. It can be placed on an altar to elevate the space and is commonly used as an ancestral offering. It can elevate your spirit and mood, attract love towards you, refresh your vibe, and you can anoint your living space with it for protection and purification. It can be used to anoint spiritual tools as well. There are a TON of ways to use Florida water and if I explained them all, this paragraph would be ginormous! Not to mention it also smells divine!
Did you also know the “Florida” doesn’t mean the state, but instead is a word for “flower”? However, some do say it can also mean the state because Florida is apparently where the fountain of youth is, but I may need to be fact checked on that, so definitely do your research when it comes to this lovely cologne!

I’m making my frankincense and myrrh mixture, but I used sticky black frankincense instead of the normal frankincense I usually get and by the gods it lives up to its name! I was scrubbing my mortar and pestle for 30 minutes trying to get the leftovers off! 😮‍💨 Smells amazing tho!

My last post summarized what sweet gum balls, aka witch’s burrs were, and this post is about turning them into spells! In my hand, from bottom to top, is my protection burr, money burr, spirit offering burr, and love burr. My favorite methods of using these are burning them to release the spell and placing them on your altar or in your bag/purse, but get creative! Recipes are below:
Protection Burr
-A Protection Oil
-Black Salt
-Black Wax
Money Burr
-A Money Oil
-Alfalfa
-Dill
-Cinquefoil
-Green wax
Spirit Offering Burr
-An Offering or Spirit Oil
-Heather
-Sandalwood
-Purple Wax
Love Burr
-A Love Oil
-Roses
-*Lavender (for lesbian love)
-*Safflower (for gay love)
*Both lavender and safflower can also be used for attracting multiple genders, not just for what is stated, such as men, women, and nonbinary or trans partners if you do not identify as straight.

Agreed! I see lists all the time in the witchcraft community talking about “avoid these practices” but they refuse to tell you why. Cmon guys!
Really not a fan of lists that tell you what kind of bad stuff (or, allegedly bad stuff) you ought to avoid, and don't elaborate on why. Doesn't exactly help people develop critical thinking skills.

Sweet gum balls, also known as witch’s burrs, are used in many folk practices and hoodoo, but are not exclusive to these. They can be used in protection spells and are placed upon altars or carried on your person for that purpose as well. They’re said to be able to ward off the evil eye and can bring wealth and abundance to an individual. They are said to attract good spirits and dispel negativity, but they can be used to cast curses as well, in tune with their spiny nature. Some people stuff spell ingredients inside them and burn them as a spell itself!

Inks can add intention to spells. I use dove’s blood for things like love and sweetening, dragon’s blood for adding strength and protection, and bat’s blood for hexing and cursing. I also have my own mixture of ink made of fake blood and dragon’s blood resin for personal spells. What do you use your inks for?

Known for its grounding and protection purposes, hematite can be a good crystal to keep around. It’s common to see people purchasing hematite rings to wear around to keep them protected and grounded. However, it’s a very fragile crystal! Treat your hematite jewelry with care!

The salt in it kinda already works as a preservative, but vinegar works, but doesn’t smell too good. I’m assuming rubbing alcohol could be good as well. I do believe lemon juice can act as a preservative, but you’ll have to fact check me on that!

Mashed up some roses with salt and rain water and then added a bit of vodka for preservation to make a rose potion! Fantastic for spells involving any type of love, sex, and can even make a great offering to deities that are associated with roses!
Edit: probably shouldn’t drink this!

The lemon is a very powerful fruit when it comes to magic. From being extremely rejuvenating and cleansing to purification, lemons can be used for a variety of things. Lemons can also help open you up spiritually. Some say lemons can also be used in baneful work to cause bitterness or to sour someone’s situation, but this is up for debate.
I anoint myself with lemon oil to open myself up spiritually and I burn lemon to cleanse and purify myself! Lemon spray can also be used for the same things! 🍋
