With the reverse isekai what year does it take place is it still around Covid time and will they learn about how the world had gone into pandemic? Also what kind of modern technology would Sinbad and his generals react to?
The reverse Isekai takes place 2.5 years after Sindria's Prophet (Oct 2020), so April 2023. Covid is still a problem but the US is no longer in lockdown. They'll be learning about masking and proper procedures etc
I have some wips of them learning about computers, and cars, etc. Eventually they'll get their own phones. I've already posted a preview of how that will go down ;3c
Not everything will be on camera. I want to focus on funny bits. Honestly, I'm leaning towards making a bunch of 5-panel comics like I do for Mori the Webcomic (my diary comic), on top of the more serious scenes

Lucid Dream 2024 April 30
At the end of April, I was extremely exhausted and struggling with shut down so hard I had a dream about finding a place to sleep. It started as an architecture dream where I was wandering around an underground building like a convention center, lots of gymnasiums, or warehouses. There were rooms full of folding chairs to watch some type of presentation. There were older women crafting like a reenactment events.
Eventually the sleepy caught up to me and I passed out sitting on the floor, leaning against the wall. I became vaguely aware of being carried, and placed in a bed. We had a short conversation and I didn't want to let go, but I had to so he could leave. At least he thought I was cute.
Longer version of the Sinbad part:
My consciousness was stirred by the feeling of being lifted from where I fell asleep. The rhyme of the person's steps and the warm of their arms pulled me back to sleep until they started putting me down. I felt cooler where they were no longer touching me. It was a struggle to get me eyes to open even as I was being covered by a sheet.
I recognized him even in the dimly lit room. Before he could leave I sat up, wrapped my arms around him and pulled him back down. His free hand -that wasn't adjusting the sheet- wrapped around my back. "Oh?" His voice was quiet and had the ghost of a laugh in it.
I nuzzled into the crook of his neck. His skin was soft and warm against my nose and lips. His smell was a comfort I didn't want to be without, and I was already going to have to cope with not having his warmth or feeling the rhythm of his breathing when he leaves.
"What do you think you're doing?" I could hear his smile in how he asked the question.
My answer was earnest, and unmasked. "I'm breathing you in so I can still smell you after you leave." I took another deep breath through my nose. It wasn't for emphasis. I just didn't want to be a part from him.
Sinbad froze at my answer. I was sure he wasn't expecting me to be so direct. The muscles of his chest and arms tightened. "You're making it a lot harder to leave, you know." Even as he said that he squeezed me back with one arm.
"Good." I whined the word a bit like a child, and tightened my grip on him too when his hand -that had adjusted the sheet- touched my arm to remove it.
His sigh hit the back of my neck. "Please don't make this any harder than it already is."
I took one last breath of him, "Okay," and loosened my grip so he could lay me back down. This time when he stood up my arms stayed limp by my sides.
Sinbad placed a warm hand over my eyes to force them closed. "Rest well."
I only was able to make a small sound in response. The moment was a command too convincing to deny. Even when he removed his hand I was too far gone to watch him leave, but I heard his step grow quiet and vanish with my consciousness.
((There's no way I'm not going to put this in Sindria's Prophet. I already planned for something similar to happen, and this is far better than what I was thinking))

AO3 IS IN TROUBLE IF CALIFORNIAN AGE VERIFICATION LAW PASSES
An upcoming Age verification bill centered in California will be voted on Monday-- And as always,instead of actually protecting kids, it will lead to more online censorship and privacy risks, as it will force websites hosting to verify their users age by sending their ID, your browser history would be linked to it. if you live California, call your reps and tell them to oppose the bill AB3080 as it highly unconstitutional.
They also deem LGBT content harmful to minors, as well as mentions of weapons and tobacco, putting them on the same level as NSFW content.
Since AO3 headquarters reside in California, much like Reddit, Twitter,Discord and Youtube (and others) who knows how bad the effects would be. Instead of just effecting Californians (even then its concerning.) the effects would be US or even worldwide. VPNs wont help.

someone I follow on the bird app just announced they're starting a very exclusive private fic server because they and a bunch of other people want to talk about how much they love the fics they're reading, and as an author can I just say that a really great place to talk about a fic you love is in the comments for that fic
I understand that people are trying to create safe spaces, but as the number of comments that I get on my fics dwindles with each passing year, knowing these spaces exist where my fics are being discussed, places that I am excluded from, makes me want to write fic LESS
I mean I guess who cares, right, because if I stop writing, there's 10,000 other people that will continue...but if you participate in a fic "book club" server and you say nice things there about a fic you loved, maybe copy and paste that into a comment on AO3?
the only thing fanfic writers are asking for in return for hours of hard work is attention. please don't rob us of the one thing that we hope for when we hit "post"

Every time AO3 makes an update, there’s a chorus of ‘and can we please please please be able to leave kudos on each chapter pleeeeease?!?!’
In theory, this is a nice idea. We’ve all smashed the kudos button on our favourite fics, bemoaning the fact we can’t give them all the love.
But ya’ll, kudos per chapter would absolutely fucking suck.
For readers, it would suck because it would compound the existing problem of making it hard to find fics that are good and not just long - not that a fic can’t be both! But there are plenty of Pulitzer-worthy one-shots out there that are buried way way down the list when ranked by number of kudos, because they’re beneath a bunch of 50/? fics where the author lost sight of where the hell the story was going 30 chapters ago, but their fic has had 50x the chances to be viewed so has more kudos. It would encourage authors to release their fics in lots of little chapters instead of a few longer ones/one-shots as they might otherwise have done (and as might otherwise suit the story).
And for authors it would especially suck, as it would compound the existing problem of people not commenting. Kudos are very much appreciated, but comments make an author’s day; but so few people bother, and frankly, it’s disheartening. Let people just click a button to show their appreciation for each new chapter? The hits:kudos:comments ratio would get even worse than it already is.
You can already ‘give kudos’ for each chapter of a fic on AO3 - by commenting. Hell you can literally write ‘kudos!’ It will make the author smile, I promise.

Just a little update:
My family had a really nasty scare right after my birthday and we're still calming down from it. So I haven't had a lot of mental energy to write etc.
When I have written I realized that what was going to be the next SP arc is moving too fast, so I'm going to extend the current arc and in put a few of the plot points from the next to space it out a bit more. The first chapter of the next arc will probably be a Dead End chapter eventually
I'm drawing things for me, to feel better. But even more than that, I'm playing Minecraft again. So I'm heavily unmasking and building subway train systems between all the areas. Even though using a controller is slower, it doesn't hurt my hands or wrist so I can play with everyone for longer
