El Morro National Monument is #NewMexico's smallest. The oasis hidden at the base of a sandstone bluff made it a popular campsite for hundreds of years. Here, ancestral Puebloans, Spanish, and American travelers carved over 2,000 signatures, dates, messages, and petroglyphs.

Poshuouinge was built on a high mesa around 1400. The site is about 150-feet above the Chama River. There are two springs located about 500 feet south of the ruins. Archaeologists believe they were the main water sources for the habitation.
