"oh you have an allergy? sorry I harassed you for being a picky eater, I didn't realize you had a valid reason. it's good to know you're not actually a picky eater, I still get to harass those people"
"oh you have chronic pain? sorry I harassed you for being lazy, I didn't realize you had a valid reason. it's good to know you're not actually a lazy person, I still get to harass those people"
"oh you're autistic? sorry I harassed you for being weird, I didn't realize you had a valid reason. it's good to know you're not actually a weird person, I still get to harass those people"
"oh you're deaf? sorry I harassed you for ignoring me, I didn't realize you had a valid reason. you're just not actually a rude person, I still get to harass those people"
"man why does everything have to be a disorder now? I miss the old days when people would TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for being failures and it was socially exceptable for me to harass them, now I look like a jerk when I bully people for annoying me."

If a girl feels uncomfortable hanging out with you alone, and you get so offended by that, it makes you angry, she probably made the right choice.

My Palestine charity postcards are available again!
Tumblr media
For about a week, you can order the charity postcard here, and all proceeds from it will be donated to HelpGazaChildren. There are two payment options, for those who feel generous.
You can also take the initiative to donate on your own. Some charities you can donate to are Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, Care for Gaza and eSims for Gaza. There is also Gaza Funds, which shows a random fundraiser every time the page is reloaded.
UPDATE; I think that depending how much we collect, a portion of the donations will also go to Gaza Funds family fundraisers.
Please keep sharing or/and donating on your own 💚

The countries with the largest atheist populations in the world are all in Asia btw.
“Oh it’s diff-“ No it’s not the people in Japan and Korea and China and Vietnam that are agreeing to answer a survey and gives responses like “Does Not Believe in God(s)” and “Religion Is Bot At All Important In My Life” are not fucking lying or somehow too stupid to understand the question compared to a Czech or Swede you just are having trouble understanding that these places are not actually as religious or “spiritual” as you thought they were based on Western stereotypes

Sant Andreu de Llanars medieval church outside of Prats de Lluçanès (Central Catalonia).
The oldest written reference to this church dates back from the year 1034, in the will of a woman named Doda who gave a vineyard to this church. In 1084, it had become the parish church. It was partially rebuilt in the 1100s, which gave it the look we can still see now. It stopped being the parish church by 1435, when the town it served lost its population to the Black Plague, becoming annexed to the nearest one.
The Sant Andreu de Llanars church was in use until 1936, when it was attacked and set on fire during the Spanish Civil War. As a result, the painted wooden altarpieces, the choir, and other furniture were lost, but its stone walls remain until nowadays.

today in "google AI is fucking useless because it hallucinates things that never happened", i bought a couple CVS thermometers that have both been acting up, tried to search if there had been a problem with the whole product line:
Tumblr media
there is no record of this product recall. it did not happen. the date "feb 8 2024" is the date someone listed a thermometer for sale on ebay.

I see a lot of posts saying "teach boys about consent".
While that is true, a lot of parents will do that and fail to see how their own actions are the problem.
If you've spanked him, he's less likely to understand consent.
If you've forced him to sit on Santa's lap, he's less likely to understand consent.
If you've forced him to give hugs and kisses to family members, he's less likely to understand consent.
If you've grabbed him in order to force him to sit still, he's less likely to understand consent.
If you've labeled him as "too sensitive" for not wanting to be touched, he's less likely to understand consent.
If you've assumed he's okay with something because he technically allowed it even though he felt pressured, he's less likely to understand consent.
If you're only going to criticize his actions but not your own, it won't work.

Side Dishes in Korea
Why do we get served so many each meal?
1. Background Information
Tumblr media
One of the most appealing things about eating out in Korea is the unlimited free refill on the side dishes, known as banchan.
This practice is deeply rooted in Korean history and character as a nation
2. Kimchi
Tumblr media
There are hundreds of different types of kimchi, but the signature cabbage banchan is offered at pretty much every restaurant.
Koreans have for generations been storing vegetables in pots to ferment so that they will have food available for the winter.
3. Common Banchans
Tumblr media
Other than kimchi, there are bean sprouts, cucumber vegetables, and sesame leaves pickled in soy sauce.
Some of the more luxurious Korean restaurant sever egg rolls, tteokbooki, and ganjang gejang.
4. Banchans At Restaurant
Tumblr media
Eating at a Korean restaurant is always an exercise in how to maneuver all the dishes to actually fit on the table.
It is not uncommon to receive 3 or more different banchan dishes alongside the main course that you order.
5. Homemade Banchans
Tumblr media
During a kimchi-preparation event called kimjang, a large amout of kimchi is laid out for all members of the family work on.
This practice is less common these days, but parents still like to prepare kimchi and distribute it to their children as a show of affection.
6. Why Are Banchan Unlimited?
Tumblr media
One reason is that white rice was much more expensive than kimchi and banchan during difficult times in the Korean economy.
It was too expensive for restaurants to give refills of rice, but in order to make sure you were full, they offered you a second helping of banchan.
7. How Is Banchan Served?
Tumblr media
In order to reduce operating costs, some restaurants have suggested limiting or removing the unlimited banchan options, which many Korean people weren’t happy about.
To meet in the middle, many Korean restaurants these days have adopted a self-service system in which you can eat as much as you like, but you have to approach the food station and fill your own bowls.

Loving the new counterpoint that not only is posting activism, not posting is complicity. Why doesn't everyone with any fame or internet presence immediately release a lengthy but perfectly-worded statement telling us where they stand on every issue? Is it because they're evil??? It must be because they're evil
And then the usual answer is "they don't post online very much". Which is all very suspicious, don't they know everything of importance is done by posts on social media now
