Its pride so what better way to celebrate then to quickly draw the two non-binaries of the space riders! (To my knowledge lol) I love Dreams design and if I’m correct their nonbinary? I Pray lol, and I’ll be excited to draw more content for them interacting hopefully in the future!!!

The idea that lesbians can engage in the "male gaze" is so stupid and we need young lesbians to understand that their desires can't be "male gaze fetishitic" because they are lesbians. You're experiencing lesbian desire. That's by definition not "male gaze fetishitic"
But also. How did film theory concepts get distorted so badly that people think that the "male gaze" is a thing that people can people "do". A man lusting for a woman is also not "male gaze" because that's not what male gaze means.
Why are people using film theory concepts to describe emotions and human experiences. help.
When it comes to textured hair there’s many styles, here some I’ve seen at powwows. Braided locs have to be my favorite style so far 💖
Reminder braids are not a universal hairstyle between tribes! I’m coming from the perspective of Great Plains tribes. I just thought I might share what braided hair means to my community and people. I see people trying to make ocs or redesigns of characters who are native but don’t actually represent us too good. Reminder to always research a tribe before making a character learn their protocols and at least try to learn something new! 🌸💖🍇
I just wanna say I love our hair! It means so much to us please take care of it🥺💖
'people can write whatever the fuck they want' and 'its good to approach writing about sensitive topics with some diligence and forethought' are statements which can and do coexist
“And that quote, “The only disability in life is a bad attitude,” the reason that that’s bullshit is because it’s just not true.” - Stella Young
[IDs: Screenshots from the late, great, Stella Young’s TED Talk: I’m Not Your Inspiration, Thank You Very Much. Stella is a wheelchair-user sitting up on the stage in front of a massive crowd. In these screenshots, she’s saying, “No amount of smiling at a flight of stairs has ever made it turn into a ramp. Never. (Laughter. Applause.) Smiling at a television screen isn’t going to make closed captions appear for people. No amount of standing in the middle of a bookshop and radiating a positive attitude is going to turn all those books into braille.]
I use this speech and the underlying theories a lot in my PhD, but Stella Young honestly had one of those voices that needs to be heard by everyone, so I figured I’d post my favorite part of the speech here. If anyone remembers that time I threw myself onto the floor For The Vine, you’ll know that I also hate the quote: “The only disability in life is a bad attitude”. Stella just conveyed the message with less pain.

Riders Group I named The Outcasts. Coming from all sorts of backgrounds and finding a home with each other. We have the designated captain Wilson, despite his protests for Carrie to be the captain. Carrie is the intel specialist and mission guide. We have our medic, Lola the cow. The engineer, Jackson the human cyborg. Our retrieval expert, Scout the fox. And our combat expert, Zenith the panda. The small group makes music between missions and tend to do retrieval and rescue missions over combat and infiltration.
