And moreover, he did this after 1) saying he’d kneel down for LWJ and giving him bedroom eyes and giggling, and 2) watching LWJ longingly and nervously presenting his drawing of him I’m
Follow up to demonneko97's ask. What if during WY's imprisonment, the Wens burn down Cloud Recesses, giving him a chance of escape, but having to escape from both the Wens and the Lans WY falls down Burial Mounds, becoming the YP anyways. His hate for the Lans, heightened by resentful qi, blinds him to everything else and he barters his power to the Wens, experimenting through the whole Lan clan one by one, taking his time with LQR and LXC, and as revenge keeping LZ as his prisoner "husband"
@demonneko97 You have a reply and it sound like the Lan’s are getting a taste of their own medicine
If anyone wants to take a survey about their musical tastes, and listen to some classical music, now is your last chance. It’s 10:07 pm on April 24, and my project is due at 11:59pm on April 29. It’s for my class Music in World Cultures, all answers are anonymous, and the only thing your answers will be used for is an in-class presentation
Here's the full thing that I recorded in one take. It's a capella due to some technical difficulties, but at least this is the complete In Regards to Love: Agape.
Psychodahlia coming soon to AO3 for that one fanfic I never knew I could write. Charooooot
purge of 2002? of 2012? what ARE those?
Oh, how quickly the past is forgotten.
They are part of the reason A03 is a thing now. Not the whole reason, but part of it.
The Great Purges of 2002 and 2012 are when ff.net got a wild hair up their ass about THINK OF THE CHILDREN and nuked any fic posted on there that was explicit. Thousands upon thousands of nc-17 smutfics were lost.
It’s what led to the creation of alternate hosting sites for smutty fic…AdultFanfiction was the one I went to…but thousands of fics would never be recovered.
I finally had to the courage to record myself singing Agape. Please note that this is a raw recording, unedited except for cutting it and the fade out, and that there is a loooooot of noise in the background. My room is not soundproof so you get all sorts of sounds.
Once I can pronounce the rest of the lyrics, I'll record the complete song.
Credits to this musician who recorded the instrumental I fell in love with: https://youtu.be/kbqXzh2OSOg
This got long and utterly self-indulgent, anon, but I hope it’s to your liking! Happy lunar new year!
It feels like just yesterday that Wei Wuxian was in the Lanling Jin Sect’s Carp Tower.
As before, their carriage traverses between the murals, lavish displays of the Jin clan’s leaders and their accomplishments, but there is no guided tour from the Jin disciple driving the carriage this time—not even an introduction. It’s not a surprise; the section on Jin Guangyao has remained intact, despite loud and riotous protests from the older clan members. (He’s still my uncle, Jin Ling said grimly, face hard and eyes like steel, and Wei Wuxian felt a surge of pride as the old men backed down, cowed in the face of authority.)
“Why don’t we have something like this for you, Hanguang-Jun?”
Wei Wuxian shifts his gaze to Lan Wangji, who sits across from him, hands folded on his lap. Next to Lan Wangji is Lan Sizhui, equally elegant and restrained in his posture, if not for the way he’s smiling at Lan Jingyi, whose wide eyes are fixed on Lan Wangji.
“You’ve done so much for the cultivation world,” Lan Jingyi says.
“You and Zewu-Jun,” Lan Sizhui adds.
Lan Wangji glances at the murals, briefly. “Unnecessary,” he says then.
“Don’t you want one with Senior Wei?” Lan Jingyi persists. “So generations after generations of Lan Sect disciples will know of your legendary romance?”
Lan Wangji’s brows lift, pausing, just as the carriage comes to a halt. He doesn’t get to respond, with the Jin disciple announcing their arrival at the main entrance.
Wei Wuxian slips an arm through Lan Wangji’s as they step off the carriage after the juniors. “You don’t want one for yourself, but you want something for us?” he says, teasing.
Lan Wangji slides a hand around his waist, warm and steady and present, as if he belongs by Wei Wuxian’s side. Like he has always belonged there. “Mm,” he says, and Wei Wuxian leans up to brush a kiss on Lan Wangji’s cheek, heart fluttering.
They remain like that, pressed against each other’s warmth, as they walk up the stairs to the brick-paved square. Jin Ling is there, robes glowing bright and golden in the lights. He’s greeting the Lan disciples with a proper salute, while Jiang Cheng looms behind him like a purple thundercloud, arms crossed and glaring at any who dare question his presence.
“A-Ling,” Wei Wuxian calls out, raising a free hand to give Jin Ling a wave. “Thank you for the invitation!”
Jin Ling’s gaze snaps to him, face lighting up, seconds before the expression twists into his trademark scowl. “It’s Sect Leader Jin in public,” he hisses when Wei Wuxian is in earshot.
Wei Wuxian tilts his head, eyes soft. “You’ll always be A-Ling to me.”
“Wei Wuxian,” Jiang Cheng growls, as Jin Ling’s cheeks bloom red. “It’s hard enough for Jin Ling, reigning in those arrogant old coots. The last thing he needs is a display of disrespect from a disciple of the Yunmeng Jiang Sect.”
There’s a long pause, Jiang Cheng’s last words sinking in like a stone in oil. Wei Wuxian stares at the Jiang leader—his shidi—who looks back with an even gaze, chin lifting. “What did you just—”
“May fortune smile upon you, Sect Leader Jin, Sect Leader Jiang,” Lan Wangji says, head dipping, fist to palm.
“And to you too, Interim Sect Leader Lan,” Jin Ling says, saluting in unison with Jiang Cheng.
“Wait,” Wei Wuxian says, breath hitched, just as Lan Wangji tugs him away and down the path to Glamor Hall. Jiang Cheng and Jin Ling watch them leave, identical looks of smugness on their faces. “Wait, does this mean I’m back in the Sect? Jiang Cheng!”
STOP EVERYTHING YOU’RE DOING AND WATCH THIS AND THANK OUR LORD AND SAVIOR @zeldacw THIS IS BEAUTIFUL ON SO MANY LEVELS AND THE PASSION POURING OUT OF EACH IMAGE JUST MAKES ME WANT TO CRY
What if Wei Ying stopped being a mom for a whole day? How would everyone react...(like no hugs, no fussing, no pats, no sweet comments, no babying, etc. for a whole day)
Hehehehe, now I have a reason for a group of panic kids! Sorry kids, mama!WWX need his rest for today! (Also, it teaches you to mind your words too!)
…
“Senior Wei, please stop!”
Wei WuXian stopped in the middle of his talking (read: teasing) when Lan JingYi suddenly shouted at him. Bewildered by the sudden outburst of emotion, Wei WuXian turned to look at Lan JingYi, the same cheery still plastered on his face.
