what the endurance of the conversion rapist narrative around saint highlights for me is that people are very much not comfortable with trans men having sexual agency.

trans men expressing sexual desire are consistently treated as predators. Whether it's for men or women, whether it's full on porn or a cutesy love story, any expression of want from a trans man is again and again decried as fetishization. The only context where trans men can be seen as sexual is when they're sexual objects: a fat pair of tits and a bonus hole. As sexual beings, they are inherently predatory.

And this fear is interlinked with the fear of social contagion. It's not just that the trans man is a sexual threat to cis people - he is an existential threat as well. He is trying to fuck lesbians into trans men. He is forcing gay men to like pussy. He is encouraging little girls to turn themselves into anime gayboys. That the allegations against Saint endure to this day shows to me that the transmasc groomer is as popular a monster among queer people as it is among terfs.
