Post-Botw / Pre-relationship fluff

After a few days in Kakariko Village, Link brought Zelda to his house in Hateno. She was so eager to finally see it but on the other hand Link was nervous and did his best to hide his insecurity. He was a little embarrassed and wanted to know what Zelda would think of the house before admitting that he had actually bought it for her.

"Zelda is a Princess" he told himself. "She is used to castles and luxury... This house is smaller than her royal bedroom! "

But no. Zelda's reaction surprised him. Pleasantly surprised him. In fact, his nervousness level cranked up quite a bit 🤭

Little did Link know that Zelda's most secret wish was to share a cozy little house...with him ❤️

And the best thing about Link's house? Yes, you know what it is... There is only one bed 😉

Tbh considering the whole eternal reincarnation cycle thing, it wouldn’t surprise me if Link did fall for Zelda at first sight Pre-Calamity? Something like his soul recognizing hers right away? Because of the whole “Hero chosen by the Goddess” thing? Idk it’d make sense to me 🤔

P.S.: Ignore this idea if it sounds overwhelming but… have you ever considered making something like a comic filling in the blanks about how you think Zelink happened in their BOTW/TOTK incarnation? I think it’d look really cool in your style (and I’m curious about how you imagine it happening tbh, especially the confession part lol though I kinda get an idea based on your fanarts)

So...about your comic suggestion, i might already be on it .... 😉

I shared a page WIP a couple of weeks ago. This was an excerpt of "The Message", my Post-BotW fan comic focusing on a major Zelink relationship milestone. Its all written, can be read from start to finish but i am still in the process of cleaning the art. This comic is 15 pages long and its gonna kill me lol It will be available hopefully by the end of the summer because I have so many professional projects going on at the same time...plus life, obviously. Just so you know I'm not answering you generic bullshit, here is some visibility on my PC's folder 😅:

Maybe this is not a good idea to reveal how obsessed and insane I actually am cuz.... i have rough pages and thumbnails for a bunch of scenes... I also have fan cutscenes storyboards that i could turn into animatics, i just need to kick my ass and subscribe to after effect for a month lol😅 Oh yeah, and this is just about the BotW/TotK era...cuz i got an OoT folder....... GDJS looking at all these incomplete PSDs are driving me nuts. I wish i could just draw Zelda stuff full time haha

HC aroace Link is absolutely valid! I understand and respect the idea of transposing our own selves on our beloved fandom characters, especially in videogames since it's an interactive media. So many of my BotW Link headcanons comes from my own perception of events as I played, including him falling in love with Zelda at first sight cuz I am a lesbian woman and that's exactly what happened lol . Everyone's HC is valid!! FR I really appreciate your follow Indigopurple!!

PS: Funny thing thats come to my mind as im a replying: I am a lesbian woman and my fav ships are Zelda & Link (that I personally see as Queer, Pan or Straight depending on the specific titles) and Spock x Kirk (best gay romance EVA) Love is love baby!

Post-BotW / Pre-relationship Hateno Bed Fluff 🤭

This takes place after Zelda asks Link to share the ONLY BED in his house 🤭🤌She obviously has recurring nightmares about Calamity Ganon and her century-long battle. Zelda suffers from restless sleep. But being close to Link really comforts her...she feels safe when she's with him. Sometimes, Zelda instinctively snuggles up to him while she sleeps...Link lets her even if, ultimately, he doesn't sleep very well either 😅🥺 Poor Link's heart rate is in the roof, he just can't process what's happening 🤭He is SO in love with her and this whole bed situation is GHFDJNIGK

I like to think there are differents Zora ethnicities, which would explain why Zora's from OoT, BotW and ALttP looks so different from one another. The Zora's from ALttP are agressive and the others are peaceful which suggest they have very different cultures. I'm also wondering if maybe Lady Yona is a descendant from ALttP's Zoras, or maybe she is a metis? IDK...im just brain rotting over pixel art from 30 years ago lol👇

I’m a longtime Zelda fan, especially BOTW/TOTK, and in my time in the fandom, I’ve never been overly fond of the idea of ZeLink, that is to say, until I saw your gorgeous art and read your headcanons, they are such a wholesome couple and so supporting of each other and ahhh! I ship ZeLink because of you! im always hugely into ship art and seeing what others come up with, but so far you are on top of my list of fav Zelda ship artists, I get excited and tingly whenever I see that you posted 😂🫶

Along with me gushing about your 👌👌👌 art, I wanted to ask because I love your style; how do you go about choosing the colors for the shadowing on the characters, I noticed yours always comes out so perfectly contrasting and vivid! and I noticed that you use different colored line-art depending on the base colors of the subjects, (and I’ve seen a lot of other artists do it too) I have wanted to try it out for awhile, but I haven’t figured out how to pick the right line art colors, and was hoping for some tips if you’re willing 💜💜💜💜💜 again, love your art

YAS THEY ARE WHOLESOME!!! I love BotW Zelink because of it's stark contrast with my other fav Zelink, OoT! oh no...i must not think of OoT, i will crawl under my desk again and cry.

So, yeah, I got a few tricks up my sleeve cuz i am actually a Senior 2D Artist in the game industry irl 🤭 I will gladly share with you (and everyone who is reading this reply because you are not to first to ask :) a couple of art tricks I wish I knew when I was a junior artist. I sincerely believe in knowledge sharing and no way i'm gonna be a gate keeper. Gate keeping artists are not cool imo. English is not my first language, and explaining art with words is tedious... i'm gonna ask Drake and visual references to help me out!
