#بشپ_ڈاکٹر_جان_جوزف_شہید ایک عہد ساز شخصیت ہیں جنہوں نے #ایوب_مسیح نامی ایک شخص کو توہین رسالت کے جھوٹے مقدمے میں سزائے موت ھونے پر ساہیوال عدالت کے سامنے احتجاجاً خود کو گولی مار لی تھی۔ بشپ صاحب کا کہنا تھا کہ اگر اب کسی شخص کو اس قانون کے تحت جھوٹا مقدمہ بنا کر سزائے موت دی گئی تو اس سے پہلے میں مر جاؤں گا۔ اس جھوٹے مقدمے کا فیصلہ سننے کے بعد بشپ صاحب نے اپنے کہے ہوئے الفاظ کو پورا کر دکھایا۔John Joseph (bishop) November 1932 – May 1998) was the #Roman_Catholic Bishop of #Faisalabad from 1984–1998 and was best known for committing suicide to protest the cruel treatment of #Christians_in_Pakistan

The #festival also marks the annual #harvest_festival in the #Punjab that #ushers in the #Sikh New Year.
