Why were the two of them so bad at words? Why was that a thing with the two of them? He could have said so many things to make him grin and words were failing him. All he could think to do was take the cigarette from his mouth to tap off some of the excess ash before taking another drag.
“You know you don’t have to thank me for anything,” he told him, “I should be thanking you if anything.” He owed Bo a lot more than just a simple bandaged hand, that much he was sure of but he couldn’t put everything into words at the moment, there was no way he’d be able to. Without really thinking he moved to straddle Bo’s lap, resting his head in the crook of the man’s neck, making sure that he didn’t burn him. “You definitely need antiseptic for that hand though because if it gets infected and gooey then I’ma have to back out and get Mowgli to fix it,” he told him quickly, pulling back with a goofy grin on his face.

“I hope you mean you’re prescribing you and not whatever gunk they use here as medicine,” Bo said, his tone lighter than it’d be before. He let Abel have the cigarette. The switch deserved the victory. After he bandaged up Bo’s hand, Bo gave his had a few motions, making sure the binding wasn’t too tight.
“Thanks, Abe…” He wanted to add on more, but it was always so awkward. He didn’t know when to say more or stop when it was enough. He felt like Abel deserved more, but then the other tended to go quiet and turtle into himself and then Bo felt like an idiot. “Ya know…for everything,”

boxswitch:
“I never said you didn’t look super hot with stubble,” Bo’s lips tilted upwards. He didn’t want to stay this way with Abel. He didn’t want to stay angry. It just happened. Having people around him all the time that actually cared for him, it was new. He had his little gang in Paris, but he quickly learned they weren’t a family at all. He never felt close to his actual flesh and blood. He hardly agreed with his parents and Belle was a thorn in his side. He wondered, if he saw a them again, if he’d feel the same.
“I can’t help it. You look like a doctor with those glasses on,” Bo grinned as Abel turned his hand this way and that. “We should play that sometime,” He wrinkled his nose though at the word “antiseptic”. “I’ll be fine, Abe. It’s just a few cuts. I’ve had worse. Besides, they’ll probably tell you to pour tree sap all over it,”
Abel had to lift his head when he heard the comment about looking like a doctor. The grin on Bo’s face was enough to make him grin in response. At least the anger was gone now. He didn’t like angry Bo, mainly because a lot of the time he felt that he wouldn’t be able to do anything to calm him down, or that the other would pretend he was calm when he was still raging and then go out and do something stupid.
In a quick movement, he reached forwards and stole the cigarette from Bo, grin turning into a smirk as he placed it between his lips, taking a drag. “As your doctor, I’m prescribing it,” he teased as he reached to start wrapping the bandage around his knuckles. He wasn’t going to mess around with band aids because he just wasn’t committed to cleaning up the mess they left behind. He made quick work of bandaging the hand up - he’d had plenty of practice after all - cigarette still sitting pretty between his lips. He gave it one last check over before giving a definitive nod. “I think you’re good, B.”

“boxswitch:
“It is his choice…but I won’t leave until he’s ready…” he closed his eyes a moment, the anger and frustration that had been so intense a moment ago leak out. “I just hate feeling helpless…”
The smile on his face stretched and he gave another chuckle, “I’ll get you another mirror, shit. Can’t let you and Mowgli go without,” He watched Abel as he went to work, knowing how intent he was on getting everything clean, even if it was Bo’s own stupid fault. He liked the feel of Abel’s hands on his though, the attention. He couldn’t help the little trickle of laughter as the switch put on his glasses as bent over his hand. Fucking adorable.
“That’s where you’re supposed to say ‘No Abel, you look super attractive with stubble’,” he glanced up quickly with a small smirk on his face before he turned back to the hand. Even though he was only holding Bo’s hand, he could feel that the tension from earlier was slowly ebbing free. He didn’t like when Bo got worked up in a rage. They all did it but Bo always seemed to be the one that actually acted on his rage. Abel wouldn’t do anything, he’d just try to calm down until it became too much and then he ranted and got a little mean. It wasn’t as violent as Bo.
When he heard the laugh he raised an eyebrow, but didn’t raise his head. “You better not be laughing at me up there,” he warned as his hands stretched the skin and his head tilted to various angles to look for the quick sparkle of any glass that was still remaining. He wasn’t usually a perfectionist but this wasn’t exactly something normal for him. Abel quickly moved in, taking out one last, barely visible piece of glass before grabbing some clean tissue to wipe the knuckles one last time. “Need to find the equivalent to antiseptic tomorrow,” he said more to himself than anything, he could do that at some point. He couldn’t be bothered right now.

“If Mowgli wants to do that then that’s up to him. I don’t want to lose him but at the end of the day it’s not our decision,” he didn’t like talking like that and deep down there was a hope that Mowgli would stay with them regardless of whether he found his family or not. Then the topic was changing again and he smiled softly, “I can’t deal with stubble. Makes me look dumb,” he told him. The only reason he ever dealt with having anything close to a beard was because he was too lazy to do anything about it.
There was something about the way that Bo said it - ‘I trust you’ - that made butterflies, or something of that sort, flutter up in his stomach. He’d never get used to people saying that they trusted him or they were proud of him, but Bo seemed to throw those small phrases at him constantly. It was strange but it was definitely something he liked- loved even. “There’s a difference between cleaning cuts and picking glass out of them but at least I have a steady hand,” he said with a quiet chuckle as he stopped for a moment to wipe around the little cuts again. He was going way too slow and he wouldn’t be surprised if Bo got impatient and told him to hurry the fuck up but he wanted to make sure he got everything out. He was so determined to get everything out that he put the hand down momentarily to put his glasses on that were left on the table from earlier, before going back to the hand, leaning in just a little more to get a closer look.

He blew out a breath, averting his eyes again. Bo wasn’t sure if his family was here. He hadn’t seen Belle since he had moved to America..well, since his family had wasted their precious funds to send him. He hadn’t had the heart to watch their few francs and euros swirl down the drain. Abel and Mowgli were the only family he needed now. Maybe that’s why he pushed…he knew Abel wasn’t going to leave. He could get this out without worry of punishment or consequences. “Mowgli will…” The words hung in the air, knowing how much hope the dark submissive had placed in the words of strangers. That his family was here…somewhere.
“The mirror fucking started it,” He snarled back as Abel still continued to dab and fuss with his hand. He let out a rough chuckle. “Such a vain baby. Nothing wrong with stubble,” Bo leaned back with his hand still stretched between him and Abel. He’d been in enough street brawls and dominant punishments to take some pain and he wasn’t worried about scars. “You’ve patched me up before, babe. I trust you,” He said, the words truthful.

“Because that’s my strong suit after all,” He drawled. Part of Bo knew he was needling the other boy, but maybe he wanted that. He just needed a reaction, he needed something. This was all chewing at his guts and he was falling back on default. Push back. He let his entire weight sink into the couch at once as he sat down, air puffing out of the worn cushions. He rested his wrists on his knees and could feel the warm blood winding down his fingers. Mowgli would be cross with him when he found out. Bo itched for a cigarette and started to dig for the packet with his good hand. He didn’t stop when Abel took the other. “We’re never going to get off at this rate. The place is fricken rigged to keep us in or havent’ you noticed that. It’s a fortune to get a visa, unless we want to sell our souls to that fucker who runs the shady part of the island,” He managed to dig the packet out and dig a cigarette with his fingers and put it between his lips. “They make us think we have family here…trying to fucking brain wash us…” He dug for his lighter in the pocket again, realizing it wasn’t in his jeans. “Merde,” He snapped and looked at Abel who was watching him. “What makes you think I’d ever stop worrying about the three of us, babe?” He hissed around the cigarette as the tweezers poked around a gasp. “Hey, careful with those,”
Abel knew that he wasn’t going to win this argument. Bo seemed to get into one frame of mind and stay there, unwilling to even think of anything else. He understood why he wanted to get off of the island because Abel did as well. As did Mowgli. Abel also knew that it was going to take a while to get off but didn’t that make the end sweeter? At the mention of family, he raised an eyebrow and glanced over to Bo. “Whether my family were on this island or not, I wouldn’t be staying on this island if I had the choice,” he told him with a shrug before his eyes when back to the hand that he was currently trying to fix.
He jumped when he heard Bo snap at him, glancing up to make sure he was okay, “I don’t think you’d ever stop worrying. I don’t want you to stop worrying. I just think you need to take a chill pill,” he told him as he pulled another shard of glass out, scowling up at Bo, “there wouldn’t be a problem if you didn’t have a boxing match with the mirror,” he sassed before grabbing some tissue to dab at the small amount of blood that had welled up from where the glass had been moments ago. “How’m I going to get rid of my stubble now,” he muttered more to himself than anything. He really needed to stop being such a dick to people, especially to his boys but he knew that he could push a bit more with these two without them getting mad. “Just so you know,” he added as an after thought, “I’m not first aid trained.”

Breathe escaped him. Bo had been expecting a lecture, but he should have known better. Mothering was Mowgli’s forte. Bo was better for it, but it had built up and had been caught in his gut for too long. “What if I don’t want too, Cochise?” He muttered, more sulking than actual argument. He let Abel lead him again, his brows heavy over his dark eyes. “Just don’t want to be here any fucking longer…why’d we get stuck here? I should be able to get us out…” Bo muttered, eyes down cast. Abel and Mowgli, they were his family. He’d move mountains for them if he could just figure out how.
“Then you’re going to have to get the fuck over it and listen to me anyway,” he told him as he all but dragged Bo through the apartment before he was pushing him to sit down on the couch. He then moved around the apartment to grab bandages and water to clean the wound, quickly doubling back to grab some tweezers before carefully sitting himself down on the table in front of the other. As Bo started to speak, Abel took his hand and used the tweezers to gently remove any of glass that was still lodged in the cut. When he spoke about how it was almost his job to get them off of the island he paused, glancing up at him. “You gotta stop beating yourself up. We’ll get off of the island when we get off of the island. For now we make the most of what we’ve got and as long as we’ve got each other there’s nothing to worry about. So stop worrying.”

Abel had been dozing on the couch when the sound of shattering glass had woken him. He used to be a heavy sleeper but since they’d been tossed over to the island he’d been on edge. He sat up quickly and moved to search where the sound had came from, pausing for a moment out of shock when he saw Bo, then the mirror, then Bo’s hand. He didn’t attempt to say anything for a moment, instead he moved towards, gently wrapping a hand around the other’s wrist so he could bring it closer to him so he could look at it. “C’mon, we need to get you cleaned up,” he murmured, tugging him lightly in the hopes he’d follow him back to the living room.

He hated they were stuck here. Bo hated they were on this shit island and had no way to get back home. Anger welled inside him, dark pressure pressing against his ribs and heart, making it impossible to breath. His reflection peered back at him and he felt something snap inside him. The sound of the mirror shattering was sharp in his ears, pain lancing through his fist where glass bit at his vulnerable flesh. He hated mirrors. @switchitupholt @mowgliwilde

I think after a while I’d get used to it and get over it. I just like adventuring and experiencing new things with my boys is always good.

Yeah? Cool. Master and I didn’t go on the trip, but we’ve been there before. I liked it when we went too, it’s a great place to go flying, though I don’t know how I’d do with no electricity long term.

Abel moved around a little as Mowgli rested against him, mainly so that the other would be comfortable but also to make sure that he wasn’t going to spill his tea on him. He knew that it had been a heavy couple of days for him but Abel didn’t really know how exactly he was supposed to approach the subject with him. As much as he wanted to help, he wasn’t good at handling emotions. Now it seemed like it was the moment to try and step up to the plate, just like Mowgli had done for him numerous times.
“You want to talk about what’s really bothering you or is that what you want to focus on? I can try to help in anyway I can,” he told him. It should have been obvious that he would do anything he could to help but he still felt that he needed to vocalise it. It may have been more to tell himself it than anything else cause he really didn’t want to screw this up and cause any more issues for him. “I’m here for you either way,” he added, his hand coming up to gently brush through the sub’s hair, hoping that it would calm him down a little.
FTF | Abel & Mowgli | 09/30, Evening
There was so much about going to the island that had been exactly what he needed. A realization of where he wanted to aim for when they’d made it off the island is his partners were on board with it. Time to reconnect with his boys, time to breathe again, time to tune out the voices that had been screaming at him to hide away and do nothing but soak in time with them. Not that time with them was a bad thing. Not in the slightest. He was just trying to find balance and the time away with them had helped him find it.
Or at least it had until everything broke loose.
The tea was in his hands almost before he realized that Abel was in there, that’s how lost in his own thoughts he was. There was so much rattling around in there and as much as he’d wanted to talk about it Mowgli honestly hadn’t known how to. He curled up against his - boyfriend? Boyfriend. One of two. Huh. He curled up against Abel and nestled his head against his shoulder in a strange turn of events from how things usually were. “It’s terrifying, I guess. To realize that the people I thought have been dead for years aren’t. It’s happy, it’s joyful, and I missed them so much but if my perception of that could be wrong then what else have I been off about? It’s - that’s not even what’s bothering me or making me overthink things but it’s the first thing that came to mind. Something that’s been flitting in and out among the other thoughts.”

It means exactly what I think it means.
Awesome: “extremely impressive or daunting; inspiring awe”. Therefore I stand by my original statement.

Lack of electricity? Awesome? You keep using this word, I don’t think it means what you think it means.

FTF | Abel & Mowgli | 09/30, Evening
@mowgliwilde
The trip to the Wildes had definitely been worth getting rid of some of his point. The only reason he’d really agreed to go in the first place was because of how excited Mowgli had been about the whole thing. In the end though, it had definitely been worth it. It felt so cut off from the rest of the world that it was almost like there was only him and his boys in the whole world and he definitely would have spent the rest of his life there with them. Not that he’d vocalised that thought in the worry of rushing in too quickly and scaring the hell out of them.
Being back in Bo’s bed definitely wasn’t a bad thing though, and for a long while he had simply done nothing but sleep, recuperating from the week away. The only reason that he had woken up was because of the cold air against his back. Sleeping in the middle definitely had his downsides, especially when he  seemed to have become more perceptible to the cold recently.  He rolled over slowly, careful to not jostle Bo too much as he looked for Mowgli. After rubbing tiredly at his eyes for a moment he decided to get up and see if he could find him, heading through to the living room. When he spotted him on the couch he tilted his head before deciding that he definitely needed tea if he was going to be able to help the sub at all. Once he’d made two cups he went back to the main living area, putting one cup on the table for Mowgli whilst sitting himself down on the end of the couch, crossed legs, looking at him. “Penny for your thoughts?”

Ever since he had got the dog he’d been exploring more, getting further and further out with each walk. He’d dropped himself down near the small pond and clearing. Aleu was happily running around him whilst he had propped himself against a tree with a book in his lap. When he heard the yell he jumped out of his skin, looking around quickly to see the source of the sound. He pushed himself up and headed over to where he could see Robin at the edge of the water. Slowly, he edged his way over waiting a moment before speaking, “Uhm... dude? You alright?”
Time to think | para open
Robin didn’t even know where he was ending up. He just kept running…and running and running. When his legs finally couldn’t take it anymore, he found himself in front of a small pond. Bending over and breathing heavily, he looked over the water. He was still frustrated over his conversation with Maisie. Why did she consistently make him feel like he was the worst person in the world? Because he cared about her? Why was that so wrong? And why was it always gaston!? Robin let out a loud yell of frustration as he through a nearby rock into the water, “fuuuuuck!” He didn’t even know anyone else had shown up.

“As soon as he started to fuck with you I was out. You always came before anyone else. Ever since I met you you became the most important person in my life.” There were so many questions being thrown at him and it was so overwhelming but Bo deserved to know everything. Leaving it this long to tell him clearly wasn’t helpful but after getting to the island and starting a new life as a new person that was happier it was easy to forget the past. The only real memories he still had of Grimm’s were all to do with Bo and Mowgli.
“It’s not okay. I could have... I could have found out and told you and saved you a punishment. I could have... I could have done something.” As much as he wanted to just let Bo pull him back in he knew that he really couldn’t until they’d figured it all out, until everything was out in the open. Abel rubbed both hands over his face, letting out a tired sigh. “It’s just... part of my life that seems to haunt me... if you get me?”
FTF | Abel & Bo | 09/12
It took Bo long moments to realize what Abel was saying. He uncurled slowly from the other boy to look at him. Puzzlement was etched in his furrowed brow.
“You…your boyfriend was that..fucker?” Bo asked before pushing a hand through his hair. “Wait..before or after? And…why? Why him? Why did you stay with him? and…” His brain was starting to trip over itself. “What are talking about? Who had…that turd that was hurting my friend? He had something wrong with him?” Bo leaned back against the arm of the couch dragging his hand over his face. “Shit. SHIT. Why didn’t those two jerk offs just tell me? I don’t…” He looked at Abel, his eyes insistent. “I don’t fucking pick on people. I know I’m a prick, but I’m not a bully…I..” He felt Abel start to pull away and he pulled the switch back against him. “Hey. Hey. That shit…it’s not..it doesn’t matter. Okay? You’re with me now…and Mowgli,”
