Do you ever wonder how differently things could have turned out for 19 if Maya hadn’t gone out of her way and accepted Sullivan as a probie?
Tbh, I try not to think about Sullivan too much. 😜
I've been trying to think about how his absence might have impacted the team, but I can't really think of much - and I don't say that to be controversial or because I'm not a fan of the character. From the way the writers wrote the end of the Andy/Sullivan marriage, it seems that Surrera was not intended to be end game, and I imagine Bob being ousted from the fire service would create friction between them. I don't think it would have changed Maya's trajectory, McAllister wanted to remove her as captain with or without Sullivan in his ear; and while she was fighting for her job back, she would have found some other way to create that chaos even without the blackmail story.
The only other character who would miss him is Chief Ross, but I would love to see more of her in the show without her storylines always revolving around Bob and their relationship.

Station 19 6x12 / Grey’s Anatomy 19x12
The rescue...
You’ll never catch me in a cave, nope. I hate the thought of being stuck underground. (It’s why I want to be cremated when I die, so that there’s no chance of being buried alive.) I would be like Travis... snakes: no, bats: no.
But seriously, I enjoyed the rescue mission and seeing them all working as a team. I am also a big fan of the new outfits and the harness. 😉 Also, now we know what Maya was up to while she was convalescing at home... she was watching TizTam videos. 😂
Maya and Carina...
Did our fanfic dreams come true as we watched Maya worry about Carina being caught up in the clinic drama and run across the city to check that she is okay?
Maya getting the call about the car incident at Grey Sloan involving doctors and seeing her panic was a different side to her. We’ve seen her in situations where people she loves are caught up in risky situations (like the storage facility incident in season 3) but we’ve never seen her react like this before - she’s always been able to compartmentalise and this time she couldn’t, because it’s Carina and because she is much more able and willing to feel her feelings right now.
I liked the way Ross and Travis brought her back and got her to focus.
I loved her jumping out of the fire truck to run to the hospital. Oh, to have seen that montage like we saw Ben running! I loved seeing her rushing through the hospital to find Carina. The moment she does? Ugh, that shaky breath and the way she whispers “you’re okay?” because seeing Carina isn’t enough, she needs to hear it. There is so much over-charged emotion in that scene.
And Carina - oof, she is clearly compartmentalising, she has pushed down everything she is feeling about the protests and violence and watching two colleagues get run down by a car so that she can get on with the job. I wish we could have seen her fall apart at the end of the day, it would be been traumatic but oh so good.
I loved the way Maya was hanging around because she needed to be close to Carina and I loved that she recognised how wonderful Carina is at her job. Also, it was interesting to hear Ben talk about how their experience today is what it must be like for Carina and Bailey on a daily basis - something that we’ve heard Carina talk about but not to Maya. I would still love for that to be something we hear them talk about one day.
The rant...
I’m sure you were expecting this.
“Herrera, what you did this morning, it was bold... You questioned and you pushed back on authority for what you knew to be right... It’s rare to meet someone who is so willing to risk their reputation and their rank in the way that you did, someone who is willing to speak truth to power. You are not a follower, you’re a leader.”
Um. You mean, like Maya did when she stood up against the Police Department to support her team? When she stood up to McAllister to save a boy’s life?
Sigh. Actually, I don’t have it in me to rant. I’m just going to say what I always say: MAKE IT MAKE SENSE! And yes, there was a boy’s life at risk when Maya made the call to take him on the fire truck instead of wait for an Aid Car, and it was a call that saved his life. Just like Andy’s call to take over from Beckett was intended to keep their team safe.
The rest of it...
Travis doesn’t want to be mayor. No-one I know who watches the show wants Travis to be mayor. So why do we have to put up with this storyline?
Andy turning down the chance to be interim captain didn’t feel right to me. She’s earned it, she should take it. Tbh, it felt like a plot device so that Ross could appoint Theo as interim captain. (But ooooh, did you see Bob’s face? He was not happy about it. 😂)

the women finally talking and FINALLY some sound advice! imagine.
vic is always baby and they need to chill on making her suffer but barrett is so good 😪 i didn’t mind theo (i just hated 23 but since they’re here to stay) but the way they made that end was so ugh. or maybe it’s not the end and vic just has to go through whatever she’s feeling right now. i hate that she’s going through it but i’m enjoying it.
maya & carina can be on screen for 30 seconds and it’s the most entertaining 30 seconds. loved everything about them this episode. i’m still not pro baby right now but i’m enjoying the process. if they drag it out and don’t give them a baby until later (without complications) then even better.
with the PRT saving that man’s life today, i think it’s safe to say it’s probably coming back. with the clinic and we’ll see carina there. at this point, i’m not even sure what i want when it comes to her on station but i’ll take her in any capacity.
i can’t get over the fact that over a year and nothing about the investigation. but the way they left the name out of it, chief maya incoming 2022. mcallister buried the investigation. he was being investigated. and maya can’t get an answer about the captaincy. clearly shes about to be promoted all the way up (let me clown in peace)
only give andy scenes with maya & carina because i didn’t hate her this episode? even her talk with sullivan. i didn’t roll my eyes or look away. i think this is one of the only scenes outside of marina that i saw the entire interaction.
as usual, i came for marina and that’s all i left with. i saw bits and pieces of the rescue of terrance but i couldn’t tell you anything about it. same with the crisis one call 😖 i’m so burnt out of this show (crazy since this is my first time watching live) that i check out without even realizing it. but the episode was good overall. and lookit, NO STATION 23! imagine

I think i’ve spent yesterday and today freaking out about Station 19 x Grey’s crossover but i believe after the whirlwind has happened we can discuss it, SPOILER ALERT:
1. Marina opening the show? Hell yes! I like seeing intimate moments, hopefully we get more of them doing just casual stuff: having breakfast, talking about anything while they get ready to work, just anything; also good for showing they have a healthy sexual life, whatever that it is that you do with your partner(s) in bed as long as it doesn’t hurt others and is consensual i’m all in!
2. I’m wondering how Miller’s death is going to affect Vic and Theo’s relationship since Vic pretty much figured out that Miller had feelings for her and you know, with them being so close, would that have an impact on them? I guess we’ll have to wait to see it
3. Jack and Carina and Ben bonding? Yes! We’re way past the whole cheating thing and i’m guessing Carina has no issues at this point with Jack and the fact that they’ve been talking to do something to benefit the community is amazing; as i said before Jack is not a bad person but he made questionable choices and he’s grown so much, i love it! + Carina being disgusted by the coffee at the station was pretty accurate😂 americans make coffee in such a different way than italians and also latinos so i totally understand her reaction + i’m wondering how is that lady Ingrid i think is her name is going to play a role in following episodes…
4. Tremmett😍 i love them so much, Travis is so funny and Emmett is so sweet; i loved that Emmett voiced out his feelings and maybe Travis is finally ready to completely move on; they are so cute and they deserve all the happiness in the world!
5. Since Miller is gone i’m guessing Vic would take over along Jack with the Crisis One program, they were the closest to him so it makes sense that they would carry on with this; i can’t believe he died😭
6. The guys at 23 are just ugh the worst (except for Captain Aquino he’s the best), new probie will create some chaos i already see it happening and Andy is so done, i hope she punches Maddox lmao, i miss Andy at 19, specially now that they’ve lost one of their own it feels weird not having her there. Also, i’m guessing someone will be interim captain while Aquino recovers👀 who’s gonna be? They should send Beckett over there and just pick someone new at 19, just saying
7. I’m annoyed at the whole fire zaddy thing, Sullivan only cares about him and only him so it’s bothers me to see that “he’s the face of SFD” just because the video went viral and stuff but okay i guess.
8. Good moment between Carina and Emmett, this is the first time we see Carina talking about how she feels about Maya’s job (hell, i don’t know how people do it in real life, i would constantly freak out if my partner happened to be a first responder or something like that) seeing her getting into OBGYN mode was also cool and i can’t wait to see her working at this new iniciative that her and Jack are working on because it’s about damn time we have Carina DeLuca-Bishop in this show properly!
9. Everyone kinda knew Dean was dying but it felt so rushed at the end of the episode, his character had so much going on, i just wished we would have left happy to make a difference around the country… so obviously the whole romance thing with Vic got shut down, i’m wondering who’s gonna keep Pru (after all she has grandparents but also Dean asked Warren to take care of her and that’s pretty much what’s gonna happen in the next episode) Dean will be missed, he was so funny and smart and i loved his friendship with Jack, i’m wondering how this is going to affect him :(
10. Bishop and McAllister are still going at it, i want her to take his job, i just dislike him so much
Aaaaaand i think that’s it, the episode indeed had me at the edge of my seat, Miller we’re gonna miss you so much! We’ll see how next week goes.

Why are not more people talking about why Sullivan also got an unfair treatment. It is unfair that he was demoted to probie. Do you know why? Because he should be in jail. He is a criminal because he committed a crime.
The show disgusts me on how they treat the women vs the men. I hope Carina assembles her lawyers to sue the department.
This is true but of course they wouldn't do that because god forbid his character isn't front and center! Who else's man pain would we have to watch 24/7???
It would be amazing if Carina sued the department lol imagine...unfortunately we probably won't even see her angry about the situation, she'll probably just drop it because they'll have Maya drop it or shrug it off but it would be nice to see someone make a scene on Maya's behalf. We need a part 2 of Maya Andy Carina storming into McAllister's office on their wedding night!
