I mean#Crowley literally cared about Cas so much#He was desperate for his friendship if nothing else and season 12 is so heavy handed about that#He spends almost the entire season at Cas’ side (offscreen ofc but he Did)#He looks this sick when he realises Cas is dying a specifically long and painful death#He goes out to face Ramiel BY HIMSELF to stop him from getting into the barn—admitting at this point has no friends—and then#He destroys the lance. For Cas. A magical weapon of unbearable power and he snaps it in half#And then he LIES about it and tells the Winchesters he only did it to spare himself from their whinging#Which is a Crowley line right up there with “I’m not sentimental” for me#And there are a lot of things in season 12 that Crowley says or does that feel out of character to me#But this stuff? This was all painfully real lol#Anyway I’m normal
