I've noticed that (in my perspective) Legolas always calms down immediately or agrees to do things when Gandalf or Aragorn scolds him, like in the forest before entering Lothorien when Aragorn scolds Gimli AND Legolas for fighting.
But I feel like Legolas acts like this, not in a "I just only respect you both" way, but in a "I want your approval and to be as elvish as I can with you" way.
