Kevin McHale, Jenna Ushkowitz, Amber Riley, and other Glee cast members have reunited to add their voices to a previously unreleased song by their late costar, Naya Rivera.
Prayers for the Broken was recorded by Rivera in 2012. New background vocals have been added by McHale, Ushkowitz, Riley, Heather Morris, Vanessa Lengies, and Ashley Fink.
The song is now available online for download, streaming, or purchase, released as part of nonprofit Alexandria House’s annual Snixxmas Charity Fundraiser honoring Rivera, who was a supporter of the Los Angeles-based charity. The organization provides safe and supportive housing for women and children.
I just listened to the latest episode of and that’s what you missed on Glee. It was the second part of the Ashley Fink episode. I love the guest episodes, because most of it is new for me and a lot of it is interesting and/or funny.
Good news: SAG approved and the podcast goes on.
Ashley didn’t like that Lauren was eating in every scene. Someone (didn’t catch the name) talked to Ryan about it and it stopped. It never occured to him that this was not okay.
In hindsight: people with problems should have talked to the producers or have someone talk for them. I bet the producers didn’t know how Harry and Jenna felt about the asian jokes.
It’s funny to know that the cast played spin the bottle all the time. They weren‘t just playing teenagers, they behaved like teenagers. And they all got a cold because of it during the tour.
Ashley got tackled by security half of the time during the tour, because they thought she was a crazy fan.
In spite of the problems - like not be able to do other work during Glee - Ashley looks back with gratitude at the Glee experience and she got close friends out of it.
littlelengies Thank you to everyone who continues to show up for Naya, her family and @alexandriahousela ! I believe this years Snixxmas gift will have us all full of love and overflowing with emotions and joy, and my wish is that we all overflow into raising as much as we are able to for Alexandria House.
axemefink: This Woman’s Work.
This woman's worth.
This woman's world.
Your favorite song, so hauntingly fitting, I’ve clung to every lyric through all of this… because this time, I have no words. I’ve often said that before, but I didn’t know what it meant until now. There really are no words this time.
Thank you, Ma. Thank you for Every. Single. Thing. Thank you for sharing your wisdom, your worries, your humor, your travels and your soul with me. Heartbroken doesn’t begin to cover it. I love you, my Button. Always and AS always, you will continue to be the voice screaming, “Ash!” in my head and pointing me True North. And damnit, I’m going to make you proud.
I already miss talking with you all night, your weird obsession with taking photos in front of doors, the look on your face the ONE time I got you on the subway when I lived in NYC, grabbing that book from your “purse” on the train to Paris. And Paris, oh Ma, we will ALWAYS have Paris. It’s so strange, I keep looking over expecting to see you with that red phone.
Rest now, it’s time for the rest of us to carry on This Woman’s Work 🤍🤍🤍
