Top 5 jonathan characters ✨
Since you’re my Tucker bestie and you’ve seen most of his roles, I’m going to go into 5 more obscure characters just for you :3
1. Matthew (100 Girls)
This is the only romcom he’s done but it’s actually in my top 3 of the genre. The jokes are a little dated at this point but it’s like a nostalgia flick for me. It’s from the American Pie era of comedy movies but at least this one had some intelligent writing. His character was actually very respectful towards women, and that was so refreshing to watch for the type of movie it was. I also loved the scenes of him in drag because he makes a very pretty girl (and a convincing one too). A lot of times, when male actors pretend to be women they tend to play up the “bimbo” stereotype, but his character actually acted like a regular girl. It’s just a nice mood booster and I watch it like once a month.
2. Heck Prigusivac (Love Comes to the Executioner)
Jonathan has such good comedic timing, and some of the lines are so memorable to me. I love the ridiculous story, and the absurdist humor especially when he’s in scenes with Jeremy Renner, who plays his brother on death row. They just don’t make movies like this anymore (and good luck finding it anywhere).
Heck’s mother: What did Chick ever do to deserve this?
Heck: It’s called “multiple homicide”.
It’s on par with Hannibal jokes for me.
3. Boon (Justified)
I love him for the hair alone. Where can I find me a stalker cowboy with a bowl cut?

4. Shane Loakin (Meskada)
Plot? Who cares. The ending? One of the worst I’ve ever seen. Does he look insanely hot and I love his character? Yes and yes.
5. Bryan Beneventi (Debris)
Texan, only child, wears a necklace with a wolf insignia — GIVE ME MORE! At least we got one season, and some good whump (seizures 🤤). Some of the episodes were so awesome like the parallel universe ones, and I seriously got chills at times. So much potential but NBC just has to cancel anything good so it sucks we’ll never know how the debris damaged his body and what the injections are for (& the sex pollen fics are hot af).

Everything that I'm about to tell you is going to make no sense. Every word of it is going to feel wrong. You're gonna think it's insane and that I am clearly in psychological danger, but that is not the case. We've located a piece that is causing shifts. Cascades of fractures into space-time. <... > I am not the Bryan Beneventi that belongs here.

Genre: Fanfiction
Fandom: Debris (TV)
Fictober prompt: 2. “Nobody warned you about me?”
Bryan was flummoxed. Here he was, sitting across an empty conference table from his new partner, and she didn’t seem perturbed by him at all.
He wondered if it was all an act. Maddox had left them alone in the conference room to talk, but Bryan wouldn’t have been surprised if they were being watched. Or if the walls had ears.
“I’m Bryan Beneventi,” he said in a half-whisper, thinking that might jog her memory. When he had first entered the room, he’d only introduced himself by his first name, having assumed she would know who he was.
“I know,” the woman responded, not looking up from the latest data that was appearing on her laptop’s screen. Again, she hadn’t seemed unsettled by his statement.
He leaned back in his seat, studying her. “Nobody warned you about me?” he couldn’t help asking. .
At his question, her dark eyes snapped up to meet his, her mouth dropping open slightly with surprise and amusement. “Should they have?”
There was his opening. He could say, “Well, I’ve had three partners in three years. You’d be number four.” He had only been with the Agency for three years, and before that, he had been a military prisoner in Afghanistan. But revealing all that would have hardly made a good impression.
Instead, he said, “Well, you’re MI6, I’m CIA…” He trailed off, but he had made his point. Intelligence agencies weren’t known to be very trusting of each other.
She closed her laptop now, rested her forearms on the table and leaned forward to whisper back, “And we’re both part of Orbital. We’re on the same team.”
He nodded. He wasn’t sure if he could believe that just yet, but he liked the optimism in her answer—and, despite himself, he liked her too.
His partner—Finola, he reminded himself—smiled slightly now. “I could ask the same thing of you,” she continued. “Nobody warned you who I am?” The smile faded from her face. “Who my father was?” She looked around at the expansive room they were in. “We’re continuing his work here.”
Oh. She was Finola Jones, the daughter of the late George Jones, one of the world’s most brilliant astrophysicists… Bryan felt a surge of embarrassment course through him as he put the pieces together. He gave her a faint smile.
“Something you should know about me,” he said. “I’m not very good at remembering details.”
She gave a soft chuckle at that, unknowingly winning her another point in his favor. “Reputations…” she mused. “What can we do? Ask for new partners?”
He let out a sigh. “Nah, that’d just put us right back here at square one.” It was an unspoken invitation to stay and work with him. Would she accept it?
Her smile returned, bigger now, and he had his answer before she spoke. “Sounds like it’s not worth the bother,” she said.
Finola opened her laptop again and turned the screen so he could see it. “The latest projections on how widespread the effects of a Debris field are,” she explained.
“Where is this one?” he asked, and just like that, they were working their first case. Together.
