I can’t believe Byler is actually going to be endgame, like we were actually right. It’s so crazy 😭💙💛

Something about the fact that Will loves Mike so much to the point where he's willing to sacrifice his own happiness for Mike's happiness and wants Mike and El to have happy lives together because he believes that's what they want. The fact that he loves Mike so deeply and unconditionally and the fact that he'd rather be completely miserable than think that Mike isn't happy.

I know this is like a literal fact that even the most casual viewer can pick up on but like you don't understand how much this hurts to think about for me, like can you imagine feeling such deep love for someone to that point? My god..

i have some thoughts.

why would the writers spend so much time and effort to show that mike and will's friendship is so much different than their other friends? if byler wasn't intended to be perceived romantically, they could have shown that their friendship was similar to lucas and dustin's relationship. or mike and dustin. or lucas and mike. but they clearly made the distinction between byler's relationship and the rest of the party ("max and lucas and dustin, they're great. it's just, it's hawkins, it's not the same without you"). mike and will clearly have a more intimate and personal connection with each other than the reset of the party. and the producers highlight it with certain dialogue and camera shots. the only reason they would be setting this up is for byler endgame (unless the writers decide to be cowards and rob us of a beautiful queer love story, doing what so many coward writers do and queerbait, marketing the show to a queer audience just to have the gay character lose their chance at love). i honestly cannot think of another reason for all the romantic build up and the queer coding of their "friendship". all of this to say, byler is endgame, and it's been endgame since the beginning and if you haven't noticed it, maybe open your eyes (and mind) and really pay attention. it's always been there.

I’m not very normal when it comes to Will or Henry. 😅 They’re both so interesting as characters, & I’m excited about their shared plotline. I’m willing to grasp at small crumbs to speculate on what we can expect from their arcs in S5! If only we could get a pic of them together.

Byler is endgame bc it's so obvious that there is no path Mike would rather take in life---nothing that could give him half as much purpose and fulfillment---as protecting Will, keeping him safe, and reminding him everyday that he's not a mistake. Mike wants to feel loved, he wants to feel needed, and it's so obvious that Will is his most important person and the person closest to him, who he wants beside him at all times. And some people really think that Michael "I think it'll be easier as a team" Wheeler would say "No thanks I'll pass" to WILL BYERS loving and needing him and wanting to spend the rest of his life with him??? Be so fr that's literally his God-given purpose for being on this earth lmao.

Personally I think that Steve has like a 85% chance of dying. I know people have said this for every season but it’s the final season so he’ll go in some big heroic way. Let me be clear I like Steve I don’t necessarily want him to die but he seems the most viable option for a main character.
