I tried to find the image of her and her father, but the only image I could find was super grainy. Luckily, I found a tweet talking about the actress who played Young Vanessa, and here it is!

Notice anything about her outfit? She’s wearing a pink shirt with blue pants, the same color scheme of clothes that Elizabeth Afton wore in Sister Location.

Either Vanessa is actually Elizabeth, or at the very least, she’s a stand in for Elizabeth. There’s no way her clothing coordination was coincidental.

Not just Chilli's babe! This is the Light! They're not skimping out. There's a whole room, if not restaurant, reserved for their date nights. Full wine menu, desserts, whatever.

Queen Bee knows these are her best workers. Replacing them would be more trouble than anything, so they just need some motivation to do better next time, right?

Even if it doesn't work, they're still cool working w/ her and don't want to try staging a coup. It works out for the Light in the end (even if Devastation and Cameron complain about the third-wheeling dates for a week after.)

so I saw this post basically alluding to the idea that black writers only know how to make smut/lewd works and they’d like to see more ‘fluff and complex things from us’. to which I really have to laugh because if we’re being completely real, a good chunk (not all) of these fandoms only show up for explicit chapters and it’s not something that’s exclusive to black authors/readers so to single us out is a little irritating. As someone who’s been writing for many years, who’s written complex stories with angst, fluff and everything else and have had said stories largely ignored only to have the smut become amplified and then be reduced to a ‘lewd’ writer is infuriating. Not to mention when we make multi-chapter pieces that require more than a surface level comprehension, half of y’all check out and don’t bother to read it anyways. I just feel as though half of the critiques I see of writers within these fandoms is just due mostly in part to the reader’s laziness. Reblogs, comments and *actual* constructive critiques could make the world of difference but you lot would rather recycle the same tired jokes and memes (looking at you WattPad), skim over the story and only show up to be shady or slick. That and the fact that black writers are always being policed and critiqued for everything we produce so it doesn’t matter. Please stop lumping us into one category and making general statements because you rather be performative than to genuinely support us. Sincerely, a tired black writer!
