I finally found the video everyone was talking about!

Tenoch recently visited a university and the girls called him “mi amor” or my love, also chanting “dale moreno” which loosely translates to “get it, [dark-skinned] boy!” We know it doesn’t translate well into English but keep in mind the word “moreno” is mostly used as a term of endearment. And he blushed so hard hehehe ☺️😩 We love you, Tenoch!!

New Year’s Eve is always a weird time, for all of them. It brings up a lot of memories- good and bad ones.

Kugrash, of course, always. Sofia swears that sometimes, especially this time of year, she can taste poppyseeds and onions on the wind, like he’s looking down at her from his place of one-ness with the universe. Kugrash is everywhere in the city around them- that was kind of the point of the Everything everything bagel, Sofia supposes- but that understanding doesn’t always help to lessen the grief.

As much as Kugrash’s absence is obvious in moments like this, late December also always brings with it Langston’s birthday, and both of the times their little family managed to save their city from forces of destruction and nihilism. Wally always visits in the days after Christmas, and late December is when Sofie finally got Dale back.

It is, as Cody would say, two sides of the same sword. As sharp as it is sweet.
