"h-huh?" yikes, her sudden appearance nearly scared him half to death, head of dark locks suddenly turning to face her. it's not like he wasn't happy to see her, far from it, any day with marcille was a interesting, gossip filled day. but for her to suddenly dump that question on him, why it simply left kabru with more questions than answers. what could have prompted such a question? did he LOOK ill? well, now he was a little self conscious.

"i don't feel sick, at least, i didn't think so until now ..." great, now he was second guessing himself, eyebrows knotting as he thought hard, checking over himself in his mind. no runny nose, no fever. "i mean, my throat's a little dry, but i think that's just from one too many diplomatic meetings."
