Rudbeckia, bright orange daylily, Venus false sunflower, spider flower (cleome), astilbe, phlox, hydrangeas with cranesbill and coneflowers, and the last one is a lace cap hydrangea.

pink rhododendrons in the park. after taking up photography as a hobby I started noticing them way more, alongside azaleas.

they are a deciduous shrub with clustered flowers, flowering in spring. however, many species are not native to the uk and can threaten endangered native plants, some like the rhododendron ponticum are even illegal to grow in wild areas.

this photo is edited with a pink filter.

The bees absolutely lost their minds for the flowers on this shrub in our front yard. Any time you walked past for the entire month of May, it was like the shrub itself was making a loud buzzing noise.

Goatsbeard (Aruncus dioicus), Geum (Avens), Hosta, Cinquefoil (Potentilla), three different roses, Campanula “Sarastro” bellflower, and . . .

I don’t know what the white flower in the last photo is. It’s something I would normally have weeded out, but I let it grow to see what it was. It’s about 4 feet tall and kind of gangling.

Four of Five decided yesterday was a great day to explode in beautiful flowers (the Itoh peony is still being a little shy) and I hurried out to snap a few more pics because heavy rain was in the forecast for evening (and it showed up, as predicted). These two different peonies are similar in coloring, but just slightly different in intensity levels. So beautiful!
