He also died atop his dragon killing vhagar the war dragon. Basically, a true dragon rider's death . All of his children lived and ruled and he literally became a legend in people's minds.

I know some people say that he would be rolling in his grave if he saw how his daughter married a hightower. But it seems like the show Daemon doesn't give a fuck about his daughters. And I know i hate it too. But unfortunately it seems that sarah hess and the writers hate him and are going to butcher his character in s2 as well . Daemon in the books is also a very fucked up person who is not good. But the only reason he was not outright hated by the kings landing people or the readers was because of his only redeeming quality. Which is his undying loyalty to his house and those of his blood. I am not defending his actions by any means but i want people to understand that Daemon has his own set of rules that he abides by and that is to serve his house and his dragon.
