hello hi hey I'm icarus (but I'm also fine with virgo) and welcome to my blog!
idkf how you got here but uhhh congrats?

I'm a neurodivergent artist who talks about gay vampires (wwdits) a lot!
I do have other interests tho like ofmd, good omens, hannibal, re-animator, interview with the vampire, watcher, the band ghost, the world of mr plant, and south park (it's just that wwdits is just what I think about the most)
things I've made:
I've written a few fic before and one can be found on my blog! it's a post season 4 nandermo fic and here's a link if you wanna check it out :)
as for the rest can be found on my ao3 here! (I'm not going to move the post season 4 fic there mainly cause idk if I really wanna)
I made a uquiz a few months ago that basically tells you what you would be if you where in the wwdits universe (a vampire, a familiar. an energy vampire etc)
I have an instagram that I just post my art to and that's really it
things I like to make:
as you can probably gather by now I primarily do pixel art but I also like to doodle/sketch with good old pencil and paper
I make a LOT of kandi (primarily singles) buuut I don't really post it on here (I mean unless someone asks me to I'm more than willing to share)
I kinda write? like I've written fics before and I DO have a bunch of wips but it's kinda hard for me to finish a fic due to the fact that I get distracted easily and the fact that I'm really dyslexic (you have no idea how badly I wanna fist fight the english language in a denny's parking lot at 3am)
oh while it's not a medium or anything but I'd like to mention I LOVE to draw characters from the media I like as pastel bunnies! (tho at this current moment it's primarily wwdits characters I draw) is it weird? yeah but I like to so I'm not stopping anytime soon if you want a rough explanation as to why I made a long post about it

guillermo de la cruz from wwdits (seriously I'm fucking feral for this man he's my top blorbo atm! he has my gender in a chokehold and I relate to him A LOT also harvey guillen is just really fucking hot-)
nandor the relentless also from wwdits (not as crazy about him but like he fascinates me and I love his goofy cringefail vibes... HE'S ALSO REALLY HOT-)
dib from invader zim (while I haven't watched invader zim in a while I still consider dib to be a fav! hell he's my fucking profile pic. he's one of the first ever characters in something I've seen that I've related to)
stede from ofmd (he's a huge fucking mood and I too jump into things head first without any plans whatsoever)
argos from twomp (a new addition to my fav character list since I stumbled upon twomp more recently. idk I just like him like go googly eye man date that murderous plant dude! wow that must sound weird to those who don't know what the world of mr plant is XD. it also might have to do with the fact that he's kinda socially awkward)

as I've already said I have dyslexia, I possibly have ADHD (never officially diagnosed buuuuut really fucking confident I do and a past therapist said I most likely do), I keep running into situations where I question if I have autism or not so take that as you will, and despite what it may seem I have really REALLY bad social anxiety (well I have overall anxiety too but let's just say there's a reason I spend a lot of time online and not out and about)

I haven’t been able to nail down a FAVORITE-favorite for him yet! But I do know he likes meat & rich foods. He’s really not afraid to get messy with some saucy barbecued meat which is kind of a charm point for him imo >w>
🎹 — Do they have any hobbies?
He has a few! Some are really dry, like reading medical journals and other professional development. Other are more lively and less focused on his field of study— collecting records and oddities like taxidermy pieces, reading fiction & poetry. He also really likes going to concerts or seeing live music, and visiting art galleries and museums. and of course then there’s the casual sex and the killing and the necrophilia :yikes emoji:
Bonus: I have an AU where he’s a musician, he plays bass guitar (which Lucy also picks up later)!
🎯 — What do they do best?
His job! He’s chief medical examiner for a reason. :> That title is a recent achievement at the time of his ‘canon’ story (2008-2009ish), but overall he’s been in the field and climbing the ranks for about 19-20 years by then. He sincerely likes figuring out the puzzle of a death and is very articulate in presenting his findings.
❤️ — What is one of your OC’s best memories?
Cheating a little bit on this one because he doesn’t have a singular best memory. Some of his most treasured memories are Lucy visiting for summers & then eventually getting full custody of her! He’s very fond of watching her grow into her own and bonding with her over music; taking her to concerts is something he recalls fondly often. ;w;
He also holds memories of his teenage sweetheart dearly, but that’s part of his esoteric history that he doesn’t share with anyone else. ;)
✂️ — What is one of your OC’s worst memories?
Cheating again because the years he wasted being married are all a miasma of ennui and frustration. 😬 He did love his ex at one point (at least, he thinks he did), but their relationship soured pretty quickly and both of them resented each other a LOT by the end of it. The silver lining is he got Lucy out of it all, at least.
💚 — What is your OC’s gender identity and sexuality?
He’s a cis man and like 99.9% straight lol. he’s experimented sexually with men (and maybe he’s kind of still open to that?), but yeah overall he’s attracted to women.
🧠 — What do you like most about the OC?
This is tough because I like everything about him xD I guess a good answer to encompass that feeling is: I like how indulgent he is! I made him & Lucy because I wanted to find a very specific flavor of a dark setting & taboo relationship, and I thought, “Holy shit I know how to write and draw. I can just make what I want myself!!” And I did! I’m giving myself everything I want with him!! So I’m ESPECIALLY happy that others enjoy him too ;w; I’m always thinking of new things about how his brain works and how he moves through their world, he’s challenged me to be creative but also trust my own process!
Part of that is also being proud of his design & personality, without trying to hold back on making him a really attractive character— sometimes I second guess character design because I don’t want to be corny or ‘mary sue’-ish with someone who is TOO attractive or perfect, but… no, we’re going balls to the wall and making a really fucking hot goth dad who is really smart and dangerous and it’s so sexy of him to be so fucked up LOL. I wanted to make a serial killer character who has babygirl sexyman vibes (think like, how fans lust after Hannibal Lecter or Patrick Bateman lol) as a sort of cheeky way to honor that type of fan xD Everett is my love letter to slasher fangirls, yandere fanatics, bad end lovers, people who understand the eroticism of sleazy horror movies, and so on. 🫶

How tall are you: a friend said to me a couple of days back I was "of the smol variety" which I thought was cheeky and fun XD I'm 5'3 3/4
Piercings: only the right ear. I had tons of piercings plans and I learned over that year of working on that year that my body does not like to heal piercings at all. It was enough of a disaster I never wanted to risk it again after three.
Tattoos: that my body heals beautifully, fortunately cause I'm addicted XD Right leg, calf and thigh, and a side of my back is done. I want to be covered.
Glasses/contact lenses: hell yeah to glasses, since I was a kid. I can't see past an arm's length without them. Contacts only for metal shows where I go in the pit cause I got glasses broken before. But I hate wearing them, I'm too oversensitive to tolerate them long.
Last drink: water. Besides that, a papaya-banana-chocolate smoothie.
Last show: currently showing Criminal Minds to my life partner, we're at the end of season 2.
Last thing you ate: mushroom and spinach pasta with lots of parmesan cheese.

Last place I travelled to: I travel locally whenever I can, me and my life partner fancy ourselves a good road trip, so many small cities around the province and stuff like that. Internationally my last trip was the US in 2017 for a metal festival 🤘

🔥 phantom of the opera (book/musical/specific character...)
Akfksöldkd I have such unpopular opinions for this one I think
- The weird bizarre Finnish production is amazing actually (I'm legally obligated to say this as someone who saw it 5 times). Except Ilkka Hämäläinen as the Phantom was awful xD I hope one day I'll see him in a role that he does well because after being a seemingly poor Lucheni too, I don't have a very high opinion of him as an actor
- POTO 2004 is good actually (hhhhh the Vibes... it all looks so gorgeous and the setting is made so vibrant) and Gerard Butler as the Phantom doesn't suck at all. He was the first one I ever saw and I actually can't enjoy Phantoms with major amounts of vibrato in the role because it doesn't feel right LOL
- I like Emmy Rossum's singing :] Except the low notes ajfjkd but she's so good esp considering how young she was. Actually I like all of the movie's cast!!!
- Music of the Night isn't that good............ the best songs are actually Overture (and Hannibal), Notes, Poor Fool He Makes Me Laugh, Don Juan & Final Lair (the overlapping parts). If I have to pick a song with considerable Phantom solo parts in it, it's Down Once More
- The best line of the show is SHE'S THE ONE BEHIND THIS - CHRISTINE - DAAÉ!!!!!
- Book... akfksl I have no idea what the popular opinions are xD I guess it's that the book is really good!! A bunch of reviews I've seen are very frustrated that Christine seems to have little agency, but idk, I'm kinda desensitised to women being poorly written in old books jfkfkdk and I think the world is just sooo interesting. I don't think it has a single boring part. My favourite characters are La Sorelli, the ballet girls and Carlotta :D but I'm some amount of fond of all of them
- Specific characters - idk, I guess it's unpopular to some people to say that Raoul is "the better option" for Christine... 😁😁🥺 For the show Meg/Christine is the only superior option

Uuuh, damn, I hate these questions, because I can never pick a certain answer. I guess that I could say that the song I tend to look up the most when I wanna start listening to music lately is "Cannibal" by Citizen Soldier

Once upon a time, I had other hobbies. These days, honestly I have time and energy just to write and binge watching shows / movies =.=" Though, I'm planning to build enough of a routing to manage to go back doing some sport and, maybe, to volunteer at a cat shelter in a nearby town, if I can manage to slip it in my schedule!
📺 — favorite movie(s) and/or tv show(s)?
My favourite movie of all time is "V for Vendetta". I know that the movie is a bit controversial, but I just love the vibe and the energy. And both the main characters are role models. Not to mention the core message. It's all so powerful.
Other movies I enjoy are, in no particular order, "The day the Earth stood still," "The Conjuring" saga, "Interstellar", "Venom", "Saw" (I, II, III, X) and "Annihilation".
As for TV shows, my number one fave is "Rick and Morty" (no one is surprised, yeah xD). The show has been my longest hyperfxation so far and I'm really satisfied with it, even if, of course, there are flaws and things I wish were different, but nothing is perfect -shrug-
Aside from the obvious, I'd say the "Star Trek" franchise (TNG and DS9 in particular), "Miraculous", "NBC Hannibal", "Good Omens", "The Umbrella Academy", "Arcane" and "Harley Quinn".

Hmmm, Annette/Mercedes, Dimiriti/Dedue, Canonish Carlisle/Charlie, Hajime/Fuyuhiko and Naoto/Rise!
Ooooh! I like them all! But let's go one-by-one:
Annette/Mercedes - that's the first ship I had for either one of them, though I grew to like other ships for them both as well. I love that both of them are magic-oriented and have this sort of bond that works both in a platonic and a romantic light! Love it <3
Dimitri/Dedue - yes, I adore this ship! True, I do like other Dimitri and Dedue ships, but I think I'm a general sucker for most lord/vassal ships (not all, but most). There's this level of emotional intimacy and vulnerability that I just adore XD
Canon Carlisle/Charlie - so funny story, when I was rereading Twilight, this little section earlier on where Charlie becomes unusually affronted by people thinking ill of Carlisle made me laugh. I was like "yep, I totally see that ship being doable in the canon world XD" - heck, I had to pay a little homage to it in my own Apricity Lemon-4! Also... there was this hilarious shitpost in the NBC Hannibal subreddit about Carlisle/Charlie somehow visually looking like a knockoff Hannibal/Will and that idea lives in my head rent free. I mean... a wealthy blond doctor from Europe and this outdoorsy guy? A+ lmfao
Hajime/Fuyuhiko - at first, that ship didn't stand out to me, but as the game progressed and more characters got taken out, the increased interactions between those two stood out to me... and oops, ended up liking those two as a pair quite a bit by the end of the game!
Naoto/Rise - yessssssss, this is my favorite ship for both of them! It's the absolute perfect butch/femme vibe and I'm there for it. I adore both ladies and feel like their respective personal struggles with how the public sees them would get them to connect right away!

I'm a bit weird with this one because even though Hannibal has his HG verse and it works really well, it always feels awkward to fit my european muses into this verse. The fact that it's set in a post apocalyptic america of the future always trips up my brain, and I think Hannibal only works because he's already living in America in the show XD
But anyway, that aside...if I was going to try and fit Villanelle into that world, I'd probably make her a Capitol gal. I know she could easily be fighting in the arena and come from District 1, but idk, she screams privileged rich kid to me for Panem. And it's sometimes fun to take a muse down a different path to their other verses!
At this moment in time I probably wouldn't add an official verse though because I don't vibe quite enough with it.

10 character/ 10 fandoms (this is actually very interesting because ive never rlly though abt them? i kinda just frantically slide them into their slots in my brain so)
1. sebastian debeste/ ace attorney : who would i be without my emotional support lawyer of choice. while i have my favourites from the games i think seb deb remains on top for like. one his relationship with his dad (hngh) two his relationship with himself as a person, his sense of self esteem and how it is affected by his entitlement, his lack of awareness etcertera and three god his Design rlly gets to me for some reason i love the owlish eyes the hair the baton that's really only there because he's icky abt touching gruesome evidence like. girl he's my best friend he's Me
2. danny rand/ ultimate spider-man : transed my gender when i was thirteen. saw him on d*sney xd and i was never the same. iron fist animated ver did so much for me as a person he was my coolguy surfer-vibe snarky but kind prettyboy crush
3. peppermint patty/ peanuts : honestly its not like peanuts is like a revolutionary piece of work but it gets me every single motherfucking time man. peppermint patty is kind of an asshole but i love her character and also gay gay holy shit i was a small queer kid once and so is peppermint patty (also marcy schrodinger charlie ily beloveds)
4. murtagh morgansson (and nasuada!!)/ eragon (the inheritance cycle) : the tragedy of murtagh morgansson effectively changed me as a pre teen i enjoyed the entire series so much (don't talk to me about eragon and arya hngh) but murtaghs arc as a person filled me with so much love like he loved his brother!! he was chained to his blood father!! he loves his dragon!! he made difficult choices for them both despite everything!! even his romantic interest was so well done i genuinely loved him as a character and i still do (and yet i like nasuada more i just think murtaghs character had more weight in the story)
5. frederick the great knight/ fire emblem awakening : cannot explain how much i would've played the entire game all over just to romance frederick instead of my girlboss crown prince chrom i had such a Massive Raging crush on him it's not even funny
6. jung heewon/ orv : yeah okay ideally it would be dokja because he's the sort of parasite that's latched onto my brain but god. god. i never recovered from jung heewon as a character i never will recover. she loves her friends so deeply (as does the entirety of kim dokja company if we're being honest) but god she is so powerful in her love and i think it's ridiculous how much i love her favourite ever jihye x hyunsung x me are so right in having a massive crush on her hngghghh
7. michelangelo/ teenage mutant ninja turtles : ive only ever watched the cartoon series and that was like a solid six years ago but i wanted to be him so bad it was fucking hilarious. i thought he was coolest shit since sliced cheese. mikey my belovedsest hngh i loved donny too but mikey just has a special place in my heart
8. boss/ underworld office : THIS GAME OH GOD. think the only time i ever spoke about it was with shiro but oh God oh god this game got me so good and im still rusty on the names and such but boss as a character was so incredible and im a sucker for a good powerful character who is the looker after of their friend group but also Every Single One of those characters were so good and i literally cannot recommend that game enough the art animatics and story is so good hngh (ticket system kinda frustrating but i can forgive them for it dammit)
9. hannibal/ nbc hannibal : ideally the title should go to freddie lounds and frederick chilton for being my favourite characters of the show but because i have a deep intimate relationship with hamball i guess he takes first spot. i talk abt him way too much anyways so i refuse to elaborate. the elaboration is that i also sniff people. that is all.
10. jiro horikoshi/ wind rises : idk if he counts as a fictional character but miyazakis version of him was- and i cannot stress this enough- so incredibly gender. also i was fascinated by aeronautical design and engineering and also the vintage male fashion rlly got to me man. one of my favourite ghibli movies till date
and that's ten!! that's not all of them but boy i really fucking love to talk huh (also a lot of these were difficult because all my favourite characters are my favourites in context of other characters so many of these should've involved more than one character but whatever) anyways thanks so much for the tag cymber i hope i didn't ramble too much :]

Maybe more than 50 I keep to myself, most are doodles without context but I think maybe thats pushing it cuz I did do a worstie without context doodles

Hmmmmm off the top of my head I think Belos from TOH considering most of my characters are brunettes with their eyes leaning to blue, another one is just ben tennyson and his overall personality and body of being a twink with an ego who is also extremely self sacrificial altho it differs how much depending on the type of character I actually want and ofc their age

I had an old story called Terminal something something and the mc was a nonbinary kid who was secretly related to an ancient family of warriors that now has to fight the ancient evil that's abt to come back, but is the evil really so evil?

Say hello to Piper! there were also going to be a set of weapons that get collected over time that cast use but they didn't seem like weapons. For example Piper's was a mask that turned them to the Sun Warrior (able to use it bc of their family blood) and another example is a vase that controls wate! A mirror! A book that has people and things sealed within it able to release said thing and control it with a key! and a painting! theres more but I don't want to have this be too long

hmmmm I think once I was told my style looks like early 2000s animes like full metal alchemist and ok the story and writing yes but the style I wouldn't say I got inspired by it esp considering my coloring being akin to stuff like cyberpunk and arcane lol

Umm hey I was wondering what happened to that viravos hannibal au fic (i’m sorry if I came off as rude I was just wondering)
Don't worry, it's not rude at all!
Yeah, I had to put that one on hold for many reasons.
It was attacked by the kudos bot first of all and I wanted to leave it for a moment so the bot would not come at me again.
Otherwise, I was waiting for s4 to see whether viren/aaravos relationship would take some turn but it didn't, so I feel safe to continue this fic with the same vibe as before.
And like, I reached that point in the plot where I kinda did not know how to proceed further? I should finally rewatch Hannibal for better accuracy with this one...
And lastly, whenever I open that fic, I cringe. Not bc of the AU/plot but because of how it's written. I desperately need to correct it and find myself a beta :') I understood how important it is. I'm just dreading having to go through 5 chapters of correction at this point...
I gave you an essay here, sorry XD Just wanted to explain my thoughts properly.
I am not abandoning this fic! I just need some more time :)

:: Hurley, Edward if he’s super spaced out or high or something, perhaps Lucius. Hurley’s just kind of, vibing hard enough to not necessarily notice. Edward not normally but like he’s the most likely muse to get high/drunk enough to miss it on a regular basis. Lucius is just a disaster homosexual.
which of your muses is most likely to believe in ghosts? which is the least?
:: Most, are like, Dean and Charlie too obvious? XD OK, outside of muses who literally know ghosts exist in their canon universes... Most likely, maybe Jillian because believing in things just comes easily for her. Least likely, I feel like the Doctor would be super stubborn about it because it’d mix up his understanding of the universe and he thinks he understands the universe better than most. But also Jeremy lol, canonically Jeremy is a folklore professor who very almost angerily refuses to believe in anything paranormal.
which of your muses would be most likely to survive a zombie apocalypse?
:: Dean. -points at canon- Aside from muses at whom that’d just be a Thursday... Izzy, Hannibal & River. That is a very competent and very self-preserving trio. Because not only would they be smart about it, they’d have no qualms protecting themselves at the cost of other people (excluding loved ones).
