Ruggie: It's okay, Granny! We can take care of this! *trying to shoo away a huge anaconda*
Ace: Damn! This is worse than the puma!
Grandma MC: *chuckles* Oh, it's alright. She's not here to hurt anyone. Isn't that right, dear?
The anaconda: *hisses*
Grandma MC: Come here, child. Are you lost? Or hungry?
The anaconda: *hisses*
Grandma MC: Oh, it's the latter. Well, I hope it's not any of my friends.
The anaconda: *hisses*
Grandma MC: Absolutely not, dear. I won't allow you to eat Grim.
Grim: Mryah?! It wants to eat me?!
Ace: Dude, what did you do for that snake to want you as her dinner?
Grim: I didn't do anything!
The anaconda: *hisses, then continue to hisses even more, like a child complaining*
Grandma MC: She's saying that you have burned her. May I see?
The anaconda: *showing her burn*
Grandma MC: Oh dear. That must've hurt.
The anaconda: *hisses*
Grandma MC: Grim must be playing and he didn't see you. So I want to apologize on his stead.
Grandma MC: I'll call someone to heal you. Will that be alright?
The anaconda: *hisses*
Grandma MC: I'll find something to feed you. But you can't have my Grim. That child is precious to me.
Ruggie: Geez, Gran. You can just feed him to her. I'm sure she will spit him out after three seconds.
Grim: Hey!
Ace: Same. There's nothing appetizing about Grim.
Grim: Granny! They're dissing me!
Professor Crewel: ... Seriously, Granny? It's an anaconda this time?
Grandma MC: *chuckles* She's quite angry. Would you please help her?
Professor Crewel: *sigh* I think I would. Is she docile?
The anaconda: *opens her mouth, seems like smiling*
Professor Crewel: Okay... This will only take a minute.
*after the anaconda was healed*
Professor Crewel: There. She's good to go.
Grandma MC: Thank you, my son. I'm going to bring some pie later. *smiles*
Professor Crewel: Granny, I'm on a diet. AND don't try to convince me that I didn't gain any weight. I had just checked this morning and I found out that my cheeks became squishy.
Grandma MC: *chuckles* Well, you're still handsome.
Professor Crewel: That's true. Anyway, I need to return to my class. Those pups might've been causing some mischief by now. See you later, Granny. *leaves the infirmary*
Grandma MC: How are you feeling now?
The anaconda: *hisses* *wraps around Granny*
Grandma MC: *chuckles* I see. *pets her* I'll tell Grim to be careful next time.
The anaconda: *hisses*
Vil: ...
Vil: Granny? I thought that snake has already left you alone?
Grandma MC: She came back this afternoon and she refused to leave my side.
Grandma MC: I couldn't turn her down so I decided to let her stay.
Vil: Ah.
Vil: ...
Vil: *smirks* Grim must be enjoying her company. By the way, have you given her a name?
Grandma MC: She reminds me so much of my Eve, so I'm thinking of naming her Lily.
The anaconda, Lily: *seems to like her new name, hisses and nuzzles her head against Granny's cheek*
Grandma MC: *chuckles*
Vil: *smiles*
Ruggie: That freaking snake! She only likes Jamil!
Jamil: Heh.
Kalim: I think she likes me too! *grins*
Ace: Dude, she literally slapped you on the face when Granny wasn't looking.
Leona: That snake's already acting like she's the favorite granddaughter.
Jamil: Well, I mean. She's technically the only granddaughter.
Ruggie: You're siding with her because she likes you!
Jamil: It's not my fault.

What if Eclipse from AP was a naga? And this took place in the deep jungle of the amazon, where photographer y/n is trying to take pictures of the wildlife?
I'm vibrating at the speed of sound over this ask while also nudging my naga au
Naga Eclipse from AP would have the tail of a Green Anaconda, with an olive green scaly color dotted with black, framed by burning-like flares of orange along the length of his slithery body. He's also decorated with orange-yellow striping on either side of his long, slipper form. His upper half is scaley with a lithe deadliness to his musculature and decorated by frills surrounding his head with brighter orange-yellow colors, almost hypnotic in their gradient hues. One eye is deep emerald green, and one is midnight blue.
Lucky you—you're out on a once-in-a-lifetime expedition to explore a jungle closed off to the public, funded by Fazco, and occupied by two researchers who will be your bunkmates for the next few weeks. You're itching to take photos of the large river, including swamps, marshes and streams, and whatever wildlife is out there.
The few locals you did meet before you left to hike the rest of the way to what would be your new, isolated home warned you of a dangerous snake—a large, mythical beast. You take note of the local folklore. You understand the truth is hidden in there somewhere, and you are well aware of the dangers and diseases you could be met with in such a harsh environment, but you're determined.
It doesn't take long for you to feel eyes watching you when you first venture out by yourself. You take beautiful pictures of freshwater fish, big and beautiful, unlike any you have ever seen. Of course, you have hundreds of snapshots of the local flora, the trees, the floating meadows, the thick vines that drape each branch and hang thickly about the ground. You almost forget that you eerily don't feel alone.
But you swear something moves in the water—the ripples stop as soon as you look. The stillness is suddenly stiff, lifeless. Even the birds have stopped chirping.
You lower your camera and carefully put it away. A trickle of fear slips into your heart. You turn away from the river's edge only to be met by a low hiss and a creature, unlike anything you witnessed in your travels, spooling itself neatly out of the water, blocking your path to the base. An incredible creature with long arms and a great, serpentine tail that seems to stretch for yards and yards. You can hardly breathe in his presence—he's otherworldly with his frills and scales and fangs.
His eyes contain a mesmerizing shine as if staring into a fire as it burns or watching the ocean as it laps up against the beach, drawing your attention, demanding you don't look away. You couldn't anyway. Half-frozen, you struggle to keep from collapsing. He beckons with a sharp talon. He hisses softly for you to come closer, mouse. He wants to see you. You try to beg no without revealing how terribly you tremble. He doesn't let you go. He insists. His eyes flash with an allure. You almost step close when he murmurs that you need to be good.
But then your sense of survival kicks adrenaline into your heart, and you turn to run—
He strikes faster than your eyes can follow. Two loops of his green and orange tail surrounded you in an instant. You're dragged to the ground, your arms pinned under his mass, and the back of your head cradled by his large palm as powerful muscles squeeze you in the slightest—a gentle rebuke for thinking you could get away. You're hyper-aware of the terrifying bulk of muscles as you lie trapped in his coils. One strong twist and your eyes could pop out of your skull, and every bone protecting your heart and lungs would crumble to shards. You gasp. An urge to kick your legs and struggle erupts in your panic; a sinking feeling tells you it would only make things worse.
He coos over you, hissing and humming in an ancient song of the jungle you have no name for. When you whimper, he shushes you and strokes your cheek. He tells you how lovely you'll be. When you talk back to him, somehow finding your tongue amid your horror, you find out his name. Eclipse. He moves you more upright, resting you on his tail so you're not petrified by how vulnerable you feel lying down, but he never loosens his scaly bindings. He hovers over you. You gaze into his stunning frills of yellow-orange and wonder how a being like him came to exist. He studies you as you study him. He grins at how you shiver when he traces your collarbone with a sharp fingertip.
You remind yourself that you can still breathe. He hasn't crushed you—yet—but you don't like how wide his smile is. Sometimes, his jaw stretches a little too long as if dislocating from his skull, ready to devour you. His eyes gleam with a ravenousness as scales twist around you, holding you close enough to smell the slick green water he had been in and deep musk.
He tells you that he'll see you again very soon—away from other humans, lest you bring him a fine gift for a meal. You can only flex your fingers, silently pleading in your heart that he won't unhook his jaw and eat you alive.
Then, he unravels himself from your limbs. But before he lets you go entirely, he leans in close, his serpentine tongue flickering close to your neck and by your hair, tasting the air around you as you muster all your strength to not scream. He inhales deeply, pleased, before he murmurs, "Sweet mouse. You are mine. Say it."
You don't understand, but you echo his command, and when he taps your chin once in what might have been a loving gesture, you force your jelly legs to solidify before you run and run, all the way back to base. You slam the door to your room behind you. You touch your ribs, your arms, still caught in the heavy sensation of his loops as if he were upon you right now.
The stories are true—there is a giant snake in this jungle, and he wants you. You're afraid to discover if Eclipse's intrigue with you is only an exotic way to satisfy his hunger.

Hi! So, I just started watching a documentary series aimed mainly at kids, following everyday life at the Bergen Aquarium in Norway.
And they have some reptiles. I an not an expert on the handling shown in the series, but I'm sure they know what they're doing.
But early on in season 1, they get a green anaconda from the Crocodile Zoo in Denmark. Just a little one, about 2,5 meters long. And the narrator says that it is considered one of the most dangerous snakes in the world? Is that correct??? Or just making drama for the intended audience of children?
Have you ever handled one?
Thank you!
Hmm, it might be stretching the truth a little bit, but sure, under the right (very specific) circumstances, green anacondas can be dangerous to humans. They're one of the few snakes that can actually get big enough to really kill or even eat an adult person, although a snake big enough to do so is exceptionally large and it's vanishingly rare.
I have handled green anacondas! They're lovely. Too big for most private keepers to even think about owning, but one of my herpetology friends is the director of a zoo and converted his basement into an enclosure for his, and she's a sweetheart. Anacondas can be a bit grumpy but well-socialized ones are a treat.
As with any large snake, it's not safe to handle any snake over about 12 feet long on your own, just because they don't know their own strength and accidents can happen! But personality-wise anacondas are lovely. They're just so big that handling them is a group effort!

Yuno’s POV
The English teacher, Mr. Fillips, was droning on about Shakespeare or some other dead writer, but my mind was too preoccupied to pay attention. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t stop thinking about earlier this morning.
______________________________________________________________
I randomly awoke in the dead of night, finding myself with my arm wrapped around Minji’s waist. Panic surged through me as I attempted to disentangle myself, but she suddenly tightened her grip, anchoring us together. Sweat beaded on my forehead as the warmth from her body was becoming unbearable.
“Minji?” I whispered. “You awake?” I waited for what felt like an eternity, but silence was the only response I received. Any efforts to remove my arm from her grasp proved futile as it only strengthened with each attempt. I had fought members of the school’s wrestling team before, but all of them paled in comparison to sleeping Minji’s anaconda-like grip on my arm. I silently cursed my predicament, praying to whatever god out there that Minji never found out about this.
She began to quietly murmur in her sleep. Most of it was incomprehensible, but I managed to make out some of it: “Yuno… stay with me… please…”
My face turned warm as she uttered words I probably wasn’t supposed to hear. I tried one last time to free myself, but my body gave out from exhaustion and I surrendered myself to my unfortunate fate. My heart was beating too hard for me to fall asleep, so I had no choice but to lay there in silence, Minji’s sleeping body pressed against mine. I couldn’t help but stare at the peaceful expression on her face, illuminated by the moonlight peeking through the window. Her soft lips curved slightly into a grin and the faint scent of roses emanated from her silky black hair. Even when she was wearing a simple oversized tee shirt, she still somehow managed to look so…
“Mr. Lin!”
I jumped in my seat as I was forcefully torn from my daydreams. Mr. Fillips loomed beside me, a disapproving glare in his eyes. The entire class watched, looks of confusion and fear etched into their faces as they anticipated my reaction. In the corner of my eye, I notice Tyler McGraw and his band of goons snickering to themselves.
“That’s the third time I’ve asked you to read the passage, Mr. Lin. Are you paying attention now?” he asks in a stern tone.
“Y-yeah, I am. Sorry.” I awkwardly clear my throat, trying my best to focus on the class while images of Minji flash through my mind.
______________________________________________________________
“A-are you alright, Yuno?”
I turn to see Winter appear next to me as I make my way towards the cafeteria for lunch. Truthfully, all three of my classes were incredibly difficult to focus on. No matter what, I couldn’t get Minji out of my head and I didn’t know why.
“Yeah, I’m fine,” I lied.
“Are you sure? You seem distracted. Is this about what happened yesterday?”
I panicked for a moment before realizing that she was talking about the attack and not the “sleepover” incident. My train of thought is interrupted as Yujin spots us from the end of the hall and waves.
“Hey, you guys!” He exclaims, causing a scene. Yujin runs up to us with a goofy smile on his face, attracting looks of disdain as he bumps into upperclassmen in the process. “What are y’all talking about?”
I quickly go through the lunch line and grab my food, the two of them in tow like baby ducks following their mother. My body shivers at the unpleasant thought, only for it to be swiftly replaced by Minji yet again. I faceplant into my usual lunch table and groan, my own mind becoming my worst enemy.
“S-some drunk creep attacked the student council president last night and Yuno jumped in to save her. I think he’s a little shaken up over it,” Winter explains. I was too busy suffering in mental anguish to correct her.
“Wow, Super Yuno swoops in to save the day again!” Yujin beamed.
I snapped my head up and glared at him. “Don’t. Call me that. Please,” I muttered before lowering my head back onto the table.
“Okay, we can workshop the name a little, but…” Yujin rummages through his backpack and pulls out a notebook. He flips through the pages before revealing a pencil drawing of me wearing a Superman-esque outfit. “What do you think about the suit? Pretty sick, right?”
“Oh w-wow, that’s really well drawn, Yujin,” Winter compliments. I nodded in agreement, both impressed and slightly repulsed by the lifelike drawing of me in a cape and tighty whities. “D-did you really draw that?
“Yup, spent all night on it. Here,” Yujin says, ripping the drawing out of his notebook and handing it to me. “Consider it a token of my appreciation for saving my life.”
I reluctantly accept the drawing, placing it into my backpack. “Thanks. It’s… nice.”
“So, what exactly happened yesterday? Tell me everything and don’t spare a single detail.” Yujin gazes at the two of us expectantly, an excited glint in his eyes.
“W-well,” Winter begins. “I was working the night shift at the convenience store and-”
“You work at the convenience store? So cool,” Yujin interrupts. Winter giggles at his innocent reaction before continuing the story.
“Y-Yuno came in and bought some things, but he forgot his change, so I followed him outside and saw him protecting the student council president from a drunk man.”
“Who’s the student council president?” Yujin asked.
“Minji Kim,” I mumble in response, staring blankly at my tray of food. “And I didn’t do anything; it was Winter who pepper sprayed him.”
She shakes her head in disagreement. “Y-you stepped in front of Minji. I just happened to be there.”
Yujin was too busy excitedly jotting something down to listen to her protest, mumbling to himself about “pepper superpowers”. Before I knew it, the end-of-lunch bell rang without me taking a single bite of food, my appetite lost from my mind being plagued with visions of Minji. I toss out the contents of my tray and leave for my next class.
“See you guys later!” Yujin says before running through the crowd of students trying to exit the cafeteria.
Winter waves at him as he leaves. “B-bye, Yujin,” she called out to him, but her quiet voice was drowned out by the surrounding chatter. “Bye, Yuno.”
I give her a nod as I take my leave. A sudden shiver runs down my spine as I sense a familiar set of cat eyes glaring at me from the edges of my vision but the presence disappears as soon as I turn to look at it.

Minji’s POV
The calm silence of the library usually offered me solace, but I couldn’t help but feel helpless as I stared at my phone, the source of my distress. My parents hadn’t texted me since this morning, yet the suspense of waiting for their next message crushed me like a bug underneath a heavy boot.
“Minj, are you alright, girl?” Hanni asks me, her expression filled with concern. She accompanied me to the library while I worked on prom preparations, but it was impossible to work under these conditions.
“I’m fine,” I lied unconvincingly. Despite knowing for the past week that my parents would be flying in today, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of dread. They were hardly ever home due to constantly having to go on business trips, but when they were home, my mental health went down the drain. Even the thought of having to be face-to-face with them made me dizzy.
Hanni gently rubs my shoulder in an attempt to comfort me. “I can go home with you if you want. Your parents looooooove me,” she jokes.
My lips curl into a faint grin. “I don’t know if ‘love’ is the word I would use,” I shoot back, prompting her to playfully punch me in the arm. “Anyways, I think I’ll be okay. I’ll have to face them alone eventually.”
“It’s your funeral. The offer is always on the table if you need it, Minj.” Hanni flashes me a reassuring smile, momentarily easing my nerves.
“Thanks, Hanni.” I return her smile with one of my own before looking back at the pile of work I need to do for prom. Picking a prom theme, finding a venue within the school’s budget, setting up events for the week leading up to prom - each responsibility felt like a massive weight on my shoulders. It was already super stressful with the entire senior class depending on me to host a successful prom, I didn’t need my home life to add to that stress.
Hanni shakes me from my thoughts. “Girl, you’re making that face again.”
“What face?” I ask, my head tilted in confusion.
“That face you make when you're stressed and stuff. Like, you scrunch up your eyebrows and your face gets all serious,” she explains while making the expression. I opened my mouth to protest, only to realize that, indeed, my eyebrows were scrunched.
My attention is diverted to the library entrance as Yuno walks through the doors. Hanni laughs at me as I instinctively hide my face with a stack of papers. The memories of accidentally spending the entire night in his arms flood my mind, and a warm blush creeps onto my face.
“Oooooh, are you all nervous with your little boyfriend around?” she teases, her words making me squirm.
“He’s not my- Shut up, Hanni!” I retort, my face growing warmer with each passing second. Yuno briefly exchanges words with the librarian before turning around, our eyes locking inadvertently. His cheeks tint with a faint pink and his eyes grow slightly wider, almost as if he’s surprised to see me. Hanni, sensing an opportunity for mischief, beckons him over.
“W-what are you doing, Hanni!?” I panic, smacking her arm. She chuckles, undeterred, as Yuno makes his way towards our table. I bury my face in my hands, wanting to disappear from this moment.
“Heyyyyyy, Yunooooo,” she calls out, earning a shush from the librarian which she promptly ignores. “What are you doing around here?” Her signature impish grin is etched onto her face, a sign that she’s up to no good.
“Just need to print something out.” Despite his gruff tone, his eyes shift nervously back and forth. I had never seen him look so anxious before.
“That’s coollllll. Minji’s here too, you got anything to say to her?” Hanni gestures toward me, and I offer a shy smile, trying my best to act composed despite the unmistakable blush on my face.
Yuno stutters for a moment before managing, “U-um… Hi.” He nods awkwardly before hastily retreating behind a bookshelf, tripping slightly on the shelf’s edge. A chuckle escapes my lips as he disappears from view.
“That’s the guy that everyone’s so afraid of? The one that beat up Bryce?” Hanni asks, her eyebrow raised in disbelief. “He looks like he wouldn’t hurt a fly.”
I shook my head, a flashback of my first encounter with Yuno in the detention room vividly playing in my mind. His face had been marked with fresh cuts from his fight with Bryce just moments before. At first, I thought he was just another brute who liked causing trouble, but the past few days with him have proved me wrong.
“I mean, he did beat up Bryce, but he had his reasons. I don’t necessarily agree with him getting into a fight, but he’s not a bad guy. Maybe people should try to get to know him better instead of just assuming he’s just another delinquent. He’s kind, and thoughtful, and he has a good heart, a-and…” I felt the heat rise to my cheeks, realizing I had been unintentionally rambling about Yuno. Hanni stared at me in awe, the corners of her lips curling upward.
“OMG, Minj… You have a crush on him!!” she squeals. Panicking, I clamped my hand over her mouth.
“N-no I do not! Can you please shut up, Hanni!?” I struggled to silence her as her whole body shook with laughter.
“You totally do, Minji!! Just look at yo-”
“SHHHH!!!! Ladies, this is a library!” Both of us freeze as the librarian glares at us with contempt.
“S-sorry…” I mutter before gathering up all my papers. Ignoring the sounds of Hanni giggling behind me, I quickly exited the library, eager to escape the embarrassment. My mind, already burdened with student council responsibilities and the impending meeting with parents, is suddenly occupied with a third weight - Yuno. Images of him fill my thoughts as I think about what Hanni said.
“I-I don’t have a crush on him. I can’t. My parents would never approve… I-I mean, he’s nice and all, and he did help me a lot yesterday. B-but we’re just friends… I guess? Friends can cuddle after a traumatic experience, right?? Omg, Minji, you are doomed…”
The stress that had gripped me earlier increased tenfold as I made my way towards my next class, uncertainty plaguing my mind with each step.
______________________________________________________________
Yuno’s POV
As the school’s printer whirs to life, I mentally facepalm myself for acting like an idiot in front of Minji. It didn’t help that I tripped on the shelf like a moron.
“Hey, Yuno!” A voice from behind calls out to me while I wait for my papers. I turn and see Minji’s friend - Hanni, I think it was? - approaching me with a phone in her hand. “Minji forgot her phone on the table before she left, do you think you could give it to her later?” She punctuates her question with a mischievous smile.
“Why can’t you do it? You’re her friend,” I ask, questioning her intentions.
“Because, I have, uhh… stuff to do.” My skepticism only grew as she flashed me another offputting smile that made it obvious she was up to something. Before I could decline, she shoved the phone into my hands and skipped away without another word. Regretfully, I placed the phone into my pocket and grabbed my papers from the printer, leaving the library with more questions than I entered.
Walking through the halls back to class, I hear a commotion coming from the boys’ bathroom. I try to ignore it and keep walking, but something in my gut stops me from moving on. I push open the door, and the voices from within become much clearer.
“You little shit.” *THUD* “Not so tough without your little friend, huh?” *THUD*
I round the corner and my heart instantly drops. Yujin’s normally cheerful face was painted with cuts and bruises, blood dripping from his mouth and nose like a leaky faucet. His limp body was being held up by one of the football players while Tyler took free shots at him.
“Get the fuck out of here before I-” Tyler turns around, noticing my presence. His eyes go wide with fear, but he keeps up his tough guy act, scoffing at me. “What the fuck do you want, Yuno?”
My heart pounds in my chest with anger. It’s taking every fiber of my being to stop me from smashing his skull against the porcelain sink. “Let him go. Please.”
Tyler laughs defiantly in my face. His friend, on the other hand, loosens his grip on Yujin, dropping him to the floor.
“What the fuck are you doing!?” Tyler yells, glaring at his friend. “Pick him back up, you idiot!”
He looks back and forth between me and Tyler, his hands fluttering nervously. “S-sorry, Ty, b-but I’d rather live,” he stutters before running out of the bathroom.
I pushed past Tyler and kneeled beside Yujin, examining his condition. His chest rose with shaky breaths while his droopy eyelids glanced up at me. A faint grin appears on his face.
“H-hey… S-super Y-Yuno… C-coming to the rescue…” He mutters, wheezing with every word. Enraged, I stand up and turn towards Tyler, dropping my backpack on the ground. His tough guy act completely melts away, revealing a terrified boy underneath.
“M-my dad w-will sue y-you if y-'' His words hang in the air, cut short as my hand clamps onto the back of his head. With a swift, forceful motion, I slam his face onto the tiles of the bathroom walls, the sickening sound of bones breaking echoes between the walls.
A guttural wail escapes Tyler’s lips, muffled by his hands clutching his broken nose. Thick, crimson liquid seeps through his fingers, coating his hands and face. The metallic scent of blood permeates through the air, a scent that I’m all too familiar with. I shove my foot into the side of his ribs, the impact punctuated by the wrath filling my veins. Tyler crumples to the ground, writhing in pain. The sound of my heart thundered in my ears, drowning out the world around me. Hovering over Tyler, I draw back my elbow, ready to deliver the final blow. With all my power, I drive my elbow into his already battered face. The impact sends a shockwave throughout his body, knocking him out cold.
I stand over his unconscious body, the acrid taste of adrenaline lingering on my tongue, and slowly unclench my fists. I swallowed hard, attempting to steady my breathing while the ringing in my ears faded away. The anger I once felt is now replaced with a slight guilt as my mind travels back to Minji, her unapproving expression from my fight with Bryce echoing in my mind. I shake my head and turn my attention back to Yujin.
Kneeling beside him, I carefully sit him up against the wall. “Can you stand?” I ask, my throat feeling dry from the sight of his battered-up form. Yujin tries to stand up on his own but groans in pain from the slightest movements.
I turn around, offering him my back. “Get on. I’ll carry you to the nurse.” Carefully, he wraps his arms around my neck while I carry him in a piggyback. Grabbing my bag, I step over Tyler’s unconscious form right as a freshman boy enters the bathroom. A look of shock paints his face as he scans the blood on the wall and the body on the floor. His body shivers in fear as I loom over him, his legs frozen in place, preventing him from escaping.
I try my best to look less threatening and give him what I hope is a reassuring smile. “He slipped and fell. I’m sure he’ll be fine.” I pat his shoulder and exit the bathroom, Yujin resting on my back.

My already sullied faith in the education system manages to go even lower as I find the nurse’s office completely empty, with no nurse in sight. I sign in frustration, opting to find help off campus instead of waiting for someone who might never come.
As I round the corner on my way to the exit, I inadvertently bump into a girl, jostling the glasses from her face. “Oh, I’m so sorry about that,” she apologizes, hastily retrieving her glasses from the ground. “Are you alr-” She freezes as she secures her glasses, undoubtedly shocked at the sight of Yujin’s unconscious body. “What did you do to him!?” she exclaims, hurriedly checking on Yujin.
Confused, I took a defensive step back, shielding Yujin from her. “I didn’t do this. It was Tyler McGraw.”
“As if I would believe someone like you. Why didn’t you take him to the nurse!?” She slaps my arm in exasperation. I scoff, slowly becoming more and more irritated.
“The nurse wasn’t there, so unless you’re a doctor or something, get out of my way, or else he might die,” I snapped, glaring at her. Her irate look melts into one of sympathy, a look I’m not used to receiving.
I clear my throat, attempting to ease the tension. “S-sorry,” I stutter awkwardly. “I just need help. Please.”
She studies my expression for a moment before sighing, relenting to the urgency of the situation. “There’s a first aid kit in the student council room. Follow me, it’s closer.” I followed her silently, wondering why her face looked so familiar.
The student council room exuded an air of organized chaos, with papers sprawled out all over the table in the center of the room. The floor was littered with various colored paper scraps, a by-product from the posters advertising prom that line the hallways. A whiteboard on the far end of the room was covered with notes, important due dates, and random drawings. On the opposite side of the room, a well-worn green couch sat, its fading color a testament to years of use by both former and current student council members.
The student council girl grabbed a first aid kit from a cabinet while I gently lay Yujin down on the couch. His chest slowly rises and falls with each shaky breath.
“Th-thank… Thank you… Y-Yuno…” he wheezes in a strained voice. Yujin reaches out with a trembling hand, finding mine in a weak grasp. An unfamiliar tenderness wells up within me as I squeeze his hand reassuringly. The girl sits beside Yujin and begins delicately cleaning the dried blood from Yujin’s face. She meticulously applies antiseptic to his cuts, the clinical scent stinging my nose.
As she worked, her eyes briefly flickered toward me. “So,” she starts, her tone measured. “What happened to him?”
A heavy sigh escapes my lips as I relive the past hour in my head. “Tyler and one of the other guys on the football team were beating him up in the bathroom, so I stepped in and…” My words trail off as I catch the unmistakable glare she’s directing at me. I gulp, suddenly feeling sheepish in front of her. Shaking her head, she diverts her attention back to aiding Yujin.
“I don’t know what Minji sees in you,” she mutters under her breath. My ears burn at the mention of Minji, and then it hits me - this girl is one of her friends I saw two days ago (Danielle, I think). Despite not talking to her at the time, I remember the distinct icy stare she gave me that day.
“H-how is Minji?” I stutter awkwardly. I didn’t get a chance to talk to her this morning after the incident last night, except in the library where I… My body shivers at the embarrassing memory.
Danielle abruptly stands up, staring daggers at me from behind her frames. Despite being much shorter, I suddenly felt like an insignificant bug as she loomed over me. “I don’t know what you're planning here, but you better stay away from Minji. She has enough going on already and she doesn’t need a troublemaker like you to add to that,” she snapped, fire in her eyes. We stood there in tense silence for what felt like years before she went back to tending Yujin’s wounds.
I open my mouth to argue, but stop, considering her words. What was I planning with Minji? We’re not exactly friends, but we’re not strangers either. I mean, I slept over at her house. Hell, we slept in the same bed together. What could she even gain from being close to me? My head begins to ache as I get more and more confused.
Danielle gets up from the couch, breaking me from my thoughts. “I did all I could with the first aid kit. I think it’s best to alert his parents,” she states.
Yujin, with the very little energy he has left, shakes his head. “N-no… Don’t… D-don’t tell… m-my parents…” he grunts.
Danielle frowns. “Why not?”
“I-I live w-with… M-my grandma… D-don’t… Worry her… P-please…” A single tear rolls down from his swollen eye. Danielle holds his hand reassuringly, her expression full of sympathy.
“Okay. I won’t,” she assures before turning to me, her expression hardening instantly. “He can rest here for the rest of the day. I’ll let his teachers know to excuse him from their classes. You, on the other hand, need to go back to class. I’ll watch over him.”
I nod, surrendering Yujin to her care. Despite her intense distrust toward me, I acknowledge that she can do a better job of taking care of him than I ever could. Grabbing my bag, I leave the student council room, stealing one last glance at Yujin. He grins and gives me a small wave right as I close the door.
A splotch of red stains my sleeve, a symbol of the violence I committed. Feeling disgusted at my lack of self control, I roll it up to hide the part of me others are scared of.
______________________________________________________________
The bell rings, signaling the end of the school day. I quickly grab my things and make my way towards the student council room, the crowd parting as I walk by. Upon barging in, I find the room empty aside from a folded-up note on the couch with my name on it. Curious, I unfolded it and it read:
Hey Yuno, thanks for saving me again. I owe you one, big time! Danielle said her mom is a nurse and she offered to check me out for free so I don’t burden my grandma with any hospital bills. Her mom is giving me a ride home from school early, but I didn’t want to leave without saying anything, so I’m writing this note to you. Danielle and I talked a lot after you left and she’s really nice! I tried to convince her that you’re a cool guy, but she still seems skeptical. Don’t worry though, I’ll change her mind eventually :) Anyway, my hand is starting to hurt now, so I’ll end the note here. See ya tomorrow! - Yujin
I smirk to myself and fold the note, placing it in my pocket. As I place the note inside, I feel something strange and smooth, and I suddenly remember - Minji’s phone. With everything that went on with Yujin, I completely forgot to return her phone. Rushing out of the building, I scan the courtyard, looking for Minji, but she’s nowhere in sight. I flinch at a tap on my shoulder and turn to see two more of Minji’s friends - the tall one and the one that looks like a cat.
“Hello!” the taller one greets with a bright smile. “Your Minji’s friend, right? Haerin told me to get your attention. I’m Hyein by the way, it’s nice to meet you again!” She sticks out her hand, which I clumsily shake. The shorter girl, Haerin, steps in front of her and stares at me with an odd, unreadable expression that sends a shiver down my spine.
“You are looking for Minji,” she states matter-of-factly.
I stagger backward, taken aback by her accuracy. “How did y- never mind. Do you know where she is?”
“She went home early,” Hyein says. “Her parents are flying from their business trip today, so she rushed home to go see them.”
I nod and turn to leave before Haerin stops me. “What’s your relationship with Minji?” she interrogates.
“We’re uhh…” I hesitate, uncertain about my answer. Shaking my head, I decide to change the subject. “Minji left her phone in the library. I’m just trying to return it.”
Haerin’s eyes narrow, studying my expression for a moment. The hair on the back of my neck stands on end as her feline eyes stare into my soul. Minji’s friends always find a way to make me feel uncomfortable.
Hyein steps in, smacking Haerin on the shoulder. “We’ll let you go on then. Tell Minji we said hi!” She tugs Haerin away, nodding apologetically. It looks like she’s the only normal out of Minji’s friends.
As I walk along the familiar path towards her house, the once serene blue sky suddenly fills with gray clouds, reminding me of my first meeting with Ms. Student Council President. If I had just left the detention room instead of offering to walk her home, would fate still have pushed us together? Would she have gotten hurt last night if I hadn’t bumped into her by chance? In the grand scheme of things, what does meeting Minji Kim mean? Droplets of rain start to fall as I ponder these questions, the weight of uncertainty bearing down on me like the rain clouds above. The thread of my life has changed directions after meeting Minji, now woven with hers, for better or for worse.
Before I knew it, I found myself in front of her house, an unfamiliar and expensive-looking car in her driveway that must belong to her parents. I gawk at it for a moment, wondering how loaded her family is, before knocking on the front door.
The door swings open, revealing a tall and impeccably groomed man, donning a perfectly tailored suit that I’ve only seen in movies. His eyes, sharp and calculating, seem to dissect me with every glance. “Hello there, can I help you?” he greets, his deep voice as polished as his appearance.
I gulp, my confidence dwindling in the face of his stature. Everything about him reminds me of a world of privilege and opulence that I could never hope to be a part of. “U-uh, hi, I-I’m Yumo- I mean Yuno,” I stammer, my throat suddenly becoming dry.
He raises an eyebrow in concern. “Okay… Can I help you, Yuno?”
I shake my head, mentally facepalming. “R-right, sorry, uh Minji forgot her phone in the library, I’m just here to return it.” I take the phone out of my pocket and show it to him, my hand trembling slightly, betraying my nerves.
He squints, scrutinizing my expression with an intensity that could rival Medusa’s. A woman - Minji’s mother - glides into view from behind him, adorned in fabrics that are equally as elegant and intimidating as Mr. Kim’s.
“Who’s at the door, honey?” she asks him, her voice exuding authority and lavishness. I suddenly felt self-conscious in front of the pair, crossing my arms to cover my shabby-looking school uniform.
“He’s a classmate of Minji’s. He says he’s returning her phone which she forgot in the library,” Mr. Kim says, his eyes still nitpicking my every move.
“A friend of Minji’s, how wonderful!” Ms. Kim exclaims. “Come in dear, let’s have a little chat.” She gave me a warm welcoming smile, yet lingering underneath the surface, there was a subtle glint of concealed intentions that sent a shiver up my spine.
“U-um, okay…” I reluctantly accepted, fearing the consequences if I declined. Ms. Kim ushered me inside her home, unaware that this was the third time I’d been here in a row. At this point, I’ve seen more of Minji’s house than I have my own.
“Minji dear, your friend is here,” Ms. Kim calls out.
“Is it Hanni? I told her she didn’t have to-” Minji rounds the corner, and our eyes lock in a moment suspended in time. She’s dressed in an elegant white blouse that amplifies the innocence of her natural beauty, paired with a simple black skirt that accentuates the grace in her every movement. Minji exuded a completely different aura compared to when she’s wearing her school uniform or the oversized T-shirts she wears as pajamas. It was almost as if she was a different person entirely.
“Y-Yuno! What are you doing here?” She asks, a hint of anxiety in her voice.
I snap out of my trance and hand her the phone. “You forgot your phone in the library. Hanni asked me to hand it to you.”
“Oh my god, thank you so much! I’ve been looking everywhere for it!” Her face lights up in a grateful smile that makes my heart skip a beat. My cheeks flare up with warmth and the corners of my lips instinctively curl upwards, which I try to hide with my hands.
“Yeah no problem, I should probably get going now-” As I turn to leave, Ms. Kim places a hand on my shoulder, stopping me
“Yuno dear, why don’t you stay for some tea? Sanghoon and I would love to get to know another one of Minji’s friends.” Despite her cheery tone, there was something in her voice that let me know she wasn’t just asking - she was commanding. I reluctantly comply, taking a seat on the couch.
“Minji, come help me in the kitchen,” Ms. Kim commands, pulling Minji with her. Minji gives me a sympathetic look before she disappears, leaving me alone with her father. Mr. Kim sits on a reclining chair, leaning forward as he stares me down. I fought guys that were triple my size before, yet none of them intimidated me as much as he did.
“So,” he begins, his expression unreadable. I gulp as I await the inevitable onslaught of questions. “What are your grades like, Yumo?
“U-uh, it’s Yuno. Sir,” I stammer. He grins at me with amusement, like a predator playing with his food.
“My apologies, Yuno.” Mr. Kim leans back in his chair, a sign that he doesn’t view me as a threat. Even with his relaxed demeanor, I couldn’t let my guard down.
“R-right, u-uh my grades are alright.” I clasp my hands together in an attempt to hide my trembling. He raises an eyebrow at my answer, unconvinced. My gut is telling me that I said something wrong.
“What are your goals for the future?” He continues.
“I-I’m not really sure yet. Still thinking about it,” I lie. Up until recently, I’d always assume I would die young from getting mixed in with the wrong crowd, so I never even humored the thought of actually having a future.
“That’s normal for kids your age,” Mr. Kim says, nodding in understanding. “You might wanna hurry up though; it’s best to get a headstart on college.”
I breathe a sigh of relief, his genuine advice easing my nerves a bit. However, I could still feel alarms going off in my head, the tension in the room at dangerously high levels. Something was hiding underneath their kind facade that made the hair on the back of my head stand up on end.
“I’m sure you were expecting me to ask you this, but what is your relationship with my daughter?” He folds his arms, expectantly awaiting my answer.
I open my mouth to respond, but nothing comes out. The answer to the question has evaded me the entire day, my mind clouded with uncertainty like the rain clouds outside. It would have been easier for me to lie and make up an answer, but my gut was stopping me. I needed an answer, right here and right now.
I take a deep breath to clear my mind, hoping the answer will come to me at the last second. “Minji and I are-”
“The tea is ready!” Minji swoops in, briskly placing a tray of mugs on the coffee table. “Actually, I forgot to tell you this, but Yuno and I are working on a project for science class.” My eyes widen with confusion, but before I can react, Minji grabs me by the sleeve and pulls me up the stairs. “We’ll be in my room if you need us!” she announces. I catch a glimpse of her parents’ bewildered look right before we turn the corner. She pushes me into her room, shutting the door behind her.
The walls of her bedroom were covered in posters of various singers and groups with odd names, like “Red Velvet” and “Twice”. Various stuffed animals were neatly arranged on top of her bed, a testament to her meticulous nature as student council president. A desk sat in front of the window, its surface covered with random stickers, polaroids with her friends, and sticky notes containing due dates and reminders. I would’ve been impressed with how cozy the room was, if it weren’t for the fact that I was inside MINJI’S BEDROOM, alone with MINJI.
A thousand- No, a million questions fill my head as I glance at Minji, who’s begun pacing nervously around the room. “U-uh, Minji?”
“I’M SORRY, I PANICKED!” She covers her mouth almost immediately after her outburst, offering an apologetic look. Taking a breath, she sits on her bed, fiddling with her fingers. “I’m sorry about my parents, they can be a bit much, even for me. Especially my dad. I’m sure he means well, but he has a tendency to push his ideologies onto others. I suppose he is a businessman after all.” Minji grabs a stuffed bear toy, holding it for comfort. I bite my lip in an attempt to stifle a grin at how… “cute” she looked.
“It’s cool, I didn’t even notice,” I lied, feeling the sudden urge to look impressive in front of her. Instead of looking impressed, however, she giggles in my face.
“No offense, Yuno, but I could hear you stuttering from the kitchen.” My entire face burns red from her words. I pretend to inspect one of her posters in an attempt to hide my embarrassed expression.
“Sooo… Why did you tell them we had a science project together?” I ask, changing the subject. “I’m not even taking a science class this year.”
Minji sighs, squeezing her bear toy. “My parents are always hypercritical of my friends, they have been since I was born. If they find even a single flaw, they’ll tell me I can’t be friends with them anymore. Hanni is the exception, of course, they couldn’t get rid of her no matter how hard they tried,” she explains, chuckling at her own joke. “I didn’t want you to be uncomfortable, so I lied to get you out of there.”
There’s that word again - “Friend”. This whole time, I had been thinking about whether or not I thought of Minji as a friend. But… Did Minji see me as a friend? The thought was unfathomable, but I needed to know the answer.
“Minji,” I say, getting her attention. She looks up at me expectantly, her dark brown eyes making my heart flutter. “A-are we… friends?” I avert my gaze, awaiting the rejection. To my surprise, the rejection never comes.
“Of course I do, why wouldn’t I? It would be weird if we weren’t friends after everything we’ve been through,” she states.
My body suddenly felt lighter, as if a thousand-pound weight had lifted off of my shoulders. The question that has been stuck in my mind all day finally had an answer. My lips instinctively curl into a smile, the first one I’ve had in a long while.
Minji giggles at my reaction. “I’ve never seen you smile before, Yuno. You should smile more, it’s nice,” she compliments. The room falls silent as a warm, pink hue graces both of our faces. Minji covers her face with the bear toy while I turn towards the wall, hiding the goofy smile that continues to grow on my face. I had been called a plethora of things under the sun - son of a bitch, motherfucker, and piece of shit, to name a few. Never in the last four years of my existence has anyone complimented my smile.
A strange and unfamiliar feeling bubbles in my chest. It wasn’t fear, anxiety, or anger; It was happiness. Minji Kim had given me a compliment, and it made me happy. I can’t help but wonder if I had knocked one of my own screws loose during my altercation with Tyler.
Minji looks up from her bear, her face still as pink as cotton candy. However, her face instantly darkens with concern as she tosses her bear on the bed and grabs my arm.
“Yuno, is that… blood?” she asks, inspecting my sleeve. Unknowingly, my sleeve had unfurled, revealing the crimson stain. The joy from Minji’s compliment sours into guilt as her worried eyes meet mine. “A-are you alright? Did you get hurt or something?”
My throat grows dry as I search for an answer, my mind devolving into chaos. The thought of her disappointed face if I told her the truth sent a pang through my chest, a pain more acute than any punch I’ve ever received. Frozen in place, I stood helpless as the weight of my actions slowly crushed me.
A knock at the door jolts me from my thoughts, and Minji’s mother peeks her head in, breaking the uneasy silence. “Hey you two, just wanted to know how the project is going. You left so abruptly that the tea got cold.”
Minji swiftly steps forward, shielding my blood-stained sleeve from her mother’s view. “Sorry about that, mom. The project is going well, we’re just brainstorming some ideas right now,” she says, her composure unbreaking.
“Alright then. Yuno dear, will you be joining us for dinner?”
I clear my throat, attempting to keep up a normal facade. “S-sorry Ms. Kim, but I should probably get going. My dad is waiting for me at home,” I lied. Truthfully, I have no idea where my dad is, but that didn’t matter at the moment. I roll up my sleeve and walk past her, beelining it towards the front door, only to be greeted with a curtain of pouring rain. To add insult to injury, a bolt of lightning rings out from the sky.
Ms. Kim places a hand on my shoulder from behind, and as I glance back, I catch a subtle tinge in her eyes that sends a shiver down my spine. She hid it well behind her warm smile, but I could tell there was something off about her.
“Oh no, looks like it’s raining,” she says, feigning concern. It was almost as if she somehow made it rain to keep me trapped here. “Why don’t you stay here until the rain dies down? It’ll give us a chance to get to know you better.”
I gulp as she shuts the door, prying me from my chance at freedom. The ominous feeling in the air intensifies as I reluctantly agree to stay, unsure of the web I’m becoming entangled in. Minji’s worried expression mirrors my own as I’m pulled towards the kitchen, the front door fading from view.

“That’s right. I planned us a little date.”
“Haha, so funny. Where are we really going?”
“I told you. I planned a date. Now be quiet and look out the window, entertain yourself.”
You decided to do just that - entertain yourself. You found yourself looking out of the window, aimlessly counting all the trees that you passed, counting all the cars that you two had passed, hell, you were even keeping a tally in your head of each color they were.
“We’re here!” Jake spoke in a cheerful voice while tapping your thigh to get your attention.
“Uh….Jake?” You called out timidly to him, watching as he got out of the car doing a little stretch.
“Yes?”
“You’re fucking with me right?”
“What makes you think that?” Jake peered over his black lens sunglasses, raising an eyebrow at you.
“There’s nothing around us,” you paused to open up your hands - motioning to the empty field that surrounds the black SUV. “Oh wait…I think I can hear a cow mooing in the distance.”
“Ha ha. Smartass. Get out of the car.” You could see a little grin making its way onto Jake’s face as he tried not to laugh at your joke.
“Promise you’re not going to murder me?”
“I promise…well, I want you to enjoy this picnic before I kill you. It’s the least I could do.”
Jake winked at you as he closed the car door, walking over to the trunk of the car, opening it and pulling out a brown whittaker basket.
“You going to join me? Or are you just going to keep staring at me that whole time?”
Closing your mouth and taking a deep breath, you opened up the car door, finding yourself once again, doing whatever Jake wants you too.  As you got out of the car you couldn’t help but to admire him in the sunset. The way his hair was laying messily on his shoulders, he couldn’t stop running his fingers through his locks - a nervous habit that he had, the way how the orange glow was radiating around him, making him look more like a God.
Fuck, how is that even possible?
It was almost as if he could feel your eyes on him. He turned his head slightly to you, giving you one of the softest smiles you’ve ever seen grace his features. You knew that you were slowly falling for him, but this? This right here could be your downfall.
“Can you help me with the blanket?” Jake’s voice cracked as he turned his head to face forward again.
No, he can’t be nervous, could he?
Instead of responding, you made your way over to stand directly in front of him, just a couple of inches separating the two of you. Your eyes locked as you knelt down to grab part of the black blanket that was almost touching the ground, noticing how Jake’s breath caught in the back of his throat as you slowly made your way back up - making sure that your face would purposely be by the crotch of his jeans.
“Stop that.”
“Me? I’m not doing anything?” You exclaimed as you brushed your knuckles against his, before stepping away from him completely, letting the length of the blanket separate the two of you.
“You know what you’re doing. Stop trying to wake him up.”
“Him? Don’t tell me you’re the type of guy who names his dick.”
“So what if I am?”
“What’s it called? Anaconda? Your sword? Mini Me?”
“Shut up. Lay the blanket down.” Jake mumbled - avoiding your eye contact as he lowered the fabric to the ground and sunk down to his knees.
“Shut up. Lay the blanket down.” You parroted back, watching in amusement as his cheeks flushed a light pink.
“Quit that.”
Rolling your eyes, you followed his actions of sitting on the blanket, putting a couple of inches in between you two. Everytime Jake would lift something out of the basket, you would grab it out of his hand , trying to ignore the little fire that would ignite in your stomach everytime your fingers would brush. Once everything was laid out, you watched as Jake let out a soft sigh and moved himself to the whole other side of the blanket - turning himself so he was staring directly at you.
“What?” Jake asked innocently as he tilted his head.
“The sunset’s that direction.” You let out a soft giggle, raising your hand and pointing directly behind him.
“I know.”
“So? You’re not going to watch it?”
“I’d rather look at you if that’s alright.” Jake shrugged, opening a bottle of water, giving you a tiny little smirk as he brought the bottle to his lips.
You could feel a tiny blush rising across your cheeks and your chest - you absolutely hated it. You already were trying to get accustomed to the fact that you were pretending to be a man’s girlfriend for money - but the last thing you wanted to do was start to develop feelings past platonic with him. It’ll complicate things. You can’t even count how many times you have had to tell yourself that within the past month. Constantly having an internal battle between right and wrong.
“Judging by how red you’re getting, I would say it’s more than alright.”
“Shut up.”
“Shut up.”  You shot him a glare in hopes to get him to stop talking.
“Doesn’t feel so good when someone mocks you, does it?” Jake spoke with a little giggle, as he reached forward to grab a grape.
“You think you’re so funny, don’t you.”
“Well you don’t make me laugh, so I gotta make myself do it.”
Your mouth opened in a gasp as you registered what he said, finding yourself blushing even more - a steady heat starting to ignite all over your body.
“Close your mouth. I’m not in the mood to fuck your pretty little mouth right now, I’m trying to be romantic.”
“You? Romantic? Don’t make me laugh.” You rolled your eyes at the long haired man in front of you - you had to at least play hard to get, you didn’t want him to know that you have been swooning on the inside since he chose to face you instead of the orange painted sky.
“Fine, this isn’t a date. It’s just a sugar daddy getting to spend alone time with his sugar baby.”
“Good.”
Damnit. You thought to yourself as Jake broke out into a toothy grin, removing his sunglasses and hanging them off the collar of his shirt.
“Here.” You were snapped out of your little daydream to find Jake holding out a container of Granny Smith Apples with a small round black container sitting on top of it.
“What’s that?”
“Oh, I thought these were your favorite apples.” Jake’s voice almost disappeared as he finished the sentence.
“No. They are my favorite. I just meant what’s in the black container.” You stopped him from pulling back the container by putting a hand on his wrist - holding him delicately in place.
“It’s peanut butter and honey, you said that was your favorite to dip it in, right?”
He remembered, you could feel your heart swelling at the tiny action.
“Yeah, it’s my favorite.”
It grew silent between the two of you as you sat there and picked at all the snacks Jake had packed. Every so often, you two would make eye contact, staring softly at each other until the other would break away and look down at the ground.
“20 Questions?”
“Huh?” Jake lifted his eyes eight from the slices of mozzarella cheese to meet your line of vision, blushing lightly when he noticed you were already looking at him.
“20 questions? You know, the game where you ask the other person questions to get to know them more?”
“I know what it is. I just wasn’t sure if I heard you correctly. Ask away.” Jake rolled his eyes at you in a playful manner.
“You go first. I suggested the game.”
“Okay……are you a virgin?”
“Jacob…” You scolded him in a teasing tone, knowing that of course, he would poke fun at your suggestion.
“Alright, alright. Let me think for a second..” The long haired man trailed off, looking out towards the sunset in a trance, him pushing his tongue into the side of his cheek.
“Favorite color?”
“That’s the question? That’s all you came up with?” You looked over at him, raising your eyebrows, feeling a little shocked that was the only thing he could come up with to ask you.
“Yes, that is my question. I think it’s important that we get to know the little things about each other, before we know each other’s deepest darkest secrets.” Jake leaned forward, squinting his eyes at you speaking as if he was stating facts.
“Why do you think that’s important?”
“Excuse me? It was my turn to ask the question, not yours. Don’t be rude.” Jake sucked his teeth at you.
“Maroon. Now answer my question.”
“You don’t care to know mine?” Jake let out a short breath, placing a hand over his heart like he was wounded by your words.
“Jake, I would love, if you would do the honor of letting me know your favorite color.”
“You sure know how to capture my heart, don’t you? Emerald green.”
“Green?”
“That’s what I just said, isn’t it?”
“Is that why you were so adamant on me wearing a green dress the night we met?”
“No…well kind of. Deandra sent me a photo of you, and I knew since the moment I saw you that you would look good in green. Nothing wrong with wanting to see a beautiful lady in my favorite color.”
You couldn’t find the words to say, feeling dumb founded at this exact moment. Your insides were practically turning as you processed everything Jake was saying, maybe he was trying to be serious about the romance.
“Don’t get all shy on me now.” Jake smirked, looking over at you, his eyes getting bigger in size as he took in how nervous you looked all of a sudden.  “Are you going to ask me a question or are you going to keep looking at the grass? I promise it’s not going anywhere.”
“Favorite food?”
“Italian. You?”
“Probably Spanish, there’s nothing better than going to XOCO, sitting on the patio outside, sipping a margarita, and watching the sunrise.” You hummed out to him, reminiscing on all the afternoons you spent at the table in the back of the patio watching the sky turn different colors until nightfall, something about it was so peaceful to you.
“I’ll take you to Mexico one day, you’ll love it.” Jake spoke absentmindedly.
“You’d want to take me on a trip?” You choked out, reaching over to grab the bottle of white wine, he had just removed from the basket. You audibly gulped as you looked at the bottle weighing heavily in your hands -  Chateau La Mission Haut Brion - Blanc.
White wine, but the thing is, this just wasn’t an ordinary bottle of white wine - this was the wine that your parents had gifted you when you completed law school. They told you to make sure to save it for a special occasion, and you did just that. The bottle sat firmly on top of the black cabinet in your kitchen. You told Jake this story during a late night conversation, complaining to him about how you were tempted so badly to open it and pour yourself a glass, but you couldn’t bring yourself to do so.
“What’s this?”
“Just a random bottle I had lying around my house.”
“Jake.”
“I may have sent Josh out to get it this morning when you were sleeping.”
“How did..” You trailed off, trying to find the correct wording for the sentence, you didn’t want to assume that he remembered this minor detail.
“How many times do I have to tell you that I pay attention to everything that you tell me.” Jake rolled his eyes playfully. “Besides, I’m not a huge fan of white wine, but this one’s good and I figured this is kind of a special occasion.
You weren’t sure how many questions were asked between the two of you - but you were positive that it was more than twenty. The air around the two of you felt different. You tried finding the words to describe it, but you couldn’t. You weren’t sure if it was because the questions turned from getting to know the small things about each other to getting to know big details about each other’s lives. He had asked you about your childhood, wanting to know every little detail about your family and you did the same. If you were lying to yourself you would say that Jake wasn’t letting his guard down around you - but he was.
It scared you more than you wanted it to. Somehow throughout the conversations, you two had all but finished the bottle, giggling at each other from the top of your glasses, holding eye contact for  a couple of seconds before one of you would have to look away from the intensity of it. You weren’t sure how late it was, noticing how the sky had lost the orange hue and turned black, with only the light from the moon shining down upon you.
You hated yourself for it but you had one question that kept popping up in your mind relentlessly.
“So can I ask you something?” You looked up at him timidly.
“I thought that’s what we were doing all along.”
“Shut up.” You found yourself chuckling as Jake busted out into a contagious fit of giggles. His cheeks turning rosy from the mixture of alcohol and the laughter.
“Ask away.”
“Did you…did you k-”
“Did I kill Koszak?” Jake turned dead serious as he took the words out of your mouth. You were positive that he could hear you gulping - trying to swallow down your nerves.
“You really think I’m capable of doing that?” Jake shook his head, looking up at the moon, staring at it lost in thought.
“Well, I have been warned about y-”
“So you decide that those rumors are true? Unbelievable.” He scoffed “I know I have a temper and I don’t always know how to control it. Yes, I can be merciless to some people. But, to accuse me of murder? What the fuck? You really think that low of me?”
“Jake….I don’t think you are capable of doing it, but it just scared me. You were pissed off at the whole situation, you had Josh stalking my every move and then you come walking into the bedroom with blood covering you! What am I supposed to think? Please tell me!”
The tones of calm in the air quickly turned into anger as you both sat up on your knees, staring at one another. Neither backing down from each other. If looks could kill.
“That’s when you trust your fucking gut and trust that I’m not that type of person.”
A couple of minutes had passed between the two of you - both of you just continuously staring, trying to think through the thoughts that were bombarding your mind.
“Look, I don’t want to fight with you.” Jake spoke softly, reaching out and grabbing your hand, softly pulling you towards him. “You want the truth?”
You nodded sheepishly at him as you crawled your way over to him. The coldness of the night started to fade away as you were surrounded by the warmth that radiated off of him.
“Yes, I do work for some dangerous people and yes, I am on their defense team. That’s how I made all my money. Yes, I was extremely angry with you when you went against my word and got on that fucking airplane alone with Koszak. I was trying to protect you. I don’t think you understand how dangerous he was.”
He paused briefly to look down at you - taking a deep breath preparing himself for what he was about to say next.
“I don’t know what it is about you…but I feel the need to protect you. Just let me do that y/n. I know I can be controlling but it’s because I’m worried about what could possibly happen to you.”
Fuck. You felt as if he had punched you right in the stomach, making all the air leave your body.
“I was pissed, I was - no I wanted to kill him. But I could never do that. I called some of the people I worked for and cashed in on a couple of favors that they owe me and I did what I had to do to make sure he would never lay his hands on you again.” Jake puffed out his cheeks and slowly blew the air out, trying to calm himself. “Baby, you’ve got to believe me. I would never kill him.”
“But you organized his murder.”
“I don’t want to go into too many details, but the world is better off without him in it.”
“Okay.”
“Okay? I just admitted something major to you and you just go ‘okay’?” Jake brushed a piece of your hair away from your face, tucking it behind your ears as he searched your eyes back and forth, trying to read your mind.
“Okay, I believe you.”  You breathed out, not finding it in yourself to break away from Jake’s eyes.
“Thank god.” Jake chuckled, moving his thumb in a soothing motion against your cheek, pulling your face up to meet his and placing a soft kiss against your lips.
You made a move to deepen it, but Jake wasn’t having it - pulling away slowly to rest his forehead against yours.
“I don’t want to fuck tonight. I just want us to enjoy each other and watch the fireworks.”
“Fireworks?” You question him as a loud boom sounded off behind you - streaks of red painting the sky.
“Perfect, just in time.” Jake then sat on the ground, parting his legs and beckoned for you to sit in between them.
You complied, smiling to yourself as you turned your back to him, feeling his arms circle around either side of your waist, pulling you tightly against his chest. You could feel him smiling too when he placed his chin into your shoulder, nudging his cheeks against yours as you watched the colorful display.
“See that one right there?” Jake lifted a finger pointing to the sky, looking at the Weeping Willow.
“Those are my favorite.” You spoke in a meep voice, snuggling yourself further into his soft chest , enjoying the clunking noise his necklaces would make.
“Really? They’re mine too.” He leaned down to whisper into your ear, his nose nuzzling into your hair. You could’ve sworn that he inhaled your scent at that moment.
“My grandparents had a cabin in the woods, it was behind the pond that I told you Josh and I used to fish at. My grandma told my grandfather that weeping willows were her favorite, when she was a little girl she used to dream about having them planted everywhere in her yard - grandpa made it his mission that summer to plant as many as he could around the pond. They would wake up and just look out at the trees as the sun would rise.”
You felt your heart swelling as he spoke. You turned your head to face him and you were met with surprise to see him staring at you already - studying your face in the glow of the fireworks.
“Looks like your grandma and I have something in common, it’s my dream to have a house surrounded by them too.”
“What about one in the front yard with a swing? I’ll push you on it whenever you want.”
“You would plant me a willow?”
“I would plant all the willows you want.”

💚Imagine catching a snake in a huge net within the dark rainforest. An anaconda of massive size stares into your eyes,as you approach the net. His tongue flitters against your hand as you stroke his snout and rub his neck. Expecting an attack, the anaconda doesn't. He stays calm, staring, his heavy breathing the only sound between you both.
Apparently,he was larger and stronger than you. A fragile human who could easily be crushed and eaten like a mouse or any small animal for the matter. Your physique would make a good chase for the snake, but it would be tiresome to drag 44 feet of muscle just to catch you.
You : I can't wait to report you to the team. The biggest anaconda to live. And not to mention, black with yellow rings and white speckles!
He eyed your figure up and down as you jubiliantly spoke, listening to the excited pumping of your heart.
You : Aren't you excited? You'll be famous!
You watched the anaconda get comfortable by stretching his lengthy form, net still upon him.
You : Are'nt you happy? Don't be sad. The team will just take your picture!
You kissed the snake's snout which was cold of course, and his response? Heavy breathing. Consoling the predator, you got in the net with him.
You : See,Now I can be with you.
You tried to call your team to tell them come to get you and the snake, but the phone had no signal. It was a rainforest,so it'd be normal for a phone or equipment not to respond. To worsen things,a downpour began. Luckily these were waterproof, but you and the snake however were not.
You : Great..Now my clothes are wet and there's nowhere to put them.
You groaned and lied against the snake's face, eventually falling asleep. The next morning you awoke with a yawn, clothes clinging to your form, and messy damp hair
Snake : Did you sleep well?
The snake's voice was clear, opposed to yesterday, which was only breathing.
You : Did you talk?
Snake : I did,love.
You : Ok..this is freaky.
Snake : You're not hallucinating. Look.
You giggled as his tongue tickled your face.
Snake : Your smell is delectible.
You were curious.
You : Of what?
Snake : Your soft,tender skin
You : I took a bath in advance before I came out here. So I guess the rainwater washed off the bug repellent.
Snake : I suppose.
You : It's useless keeping you in a net..No one will come and get me at this point.
While out of the net,you retrieved your hunting knife,to free the serpent, doing so.
Snake : This is a big discovery..are you sure?
You : Yes.
You freed the snake, and he yawned, proceeding to tickle your breasts as you removed your clothing.
You : Naughty snake..bad snake.
The snake giggled at your scolding,as he grew to like your kindness and lack of fear towards him.
Snake : Are you hungry?
The snake heard your stomach.
You : I think I got some food in my bag.
You bent over to retrieve food, and he tickled your nuggies with his flicking tongue
You : Stop you naughty snake!
Snake : Your form intrigues me. I like it very much.
You got a foot long hero in your bag,and decided to share it with the snake. After eating and drinking water, you stood upright
Snake : I love your form, and it's parts. Allow me to lick them.
It seemed the snake took delight in playing with your parts. You grew tired of telling him how naughty and bad he was,so you submitted to him, laying on the rainforest floor, allowing him to mess with every bit of you, tasting sniffing and licking. The snake loved your laughter, and how your face lit up whenever he'd tickle you or sniff you.💚

💚There will be another part added! Stay tuned. I researched transitions by surgical means before anything, and hope I got it right💚

Could we please get a group chat after the reveal that Phillip is sporting absolute anaconda in his trousers?
BSSG Group Chat
Michael: Hey everyone. I just wanted to take the opportunity to say a BIG FAT MASSIVE hello to my HYUCKING GIANT of a pal @ Phillip
Tumblr media
Sophie: ...
Sophie: Okay?
Simon: Could you not just have messaged him separately to say hi?
Kate: Yeah what's with the performance aspect of this specific greeting exactly? 🤨
Penelope: Michael...
Phillip: ...
Phillip: Um hi?
Simon: Do you know wtf he's on about?
Phillip: No?
Michael: Can't a man say a GINORMOUS hello to his ABSOLUTE HULK of a CUMBERSOME buddy without people COCKING their THICKSET eyebrows up with HEAVY suspicion?
Sophie:
Tumblr media
Penelope: Michael jfc
Simon: Ah right the first message in isolation just seemed random but now it appears Michael's just being crudely suggestive towards Phil.
Kate: Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Kate: So this was just Michael's immature way of addressing the fact Phil's got a big dick
Sophie: Michael!!!!!!!
Michael: Aw man I've been rumbled.
Penelope: please stop acting like you were being even remotely subtle about it
Michael: Just like Phil has Eloise's bed rumbling from his COLOSSAL RHINO COCK every night.
Sophie: MICHAEL HAMISH STIRLING
Simon: Is nothing sacred?
Penelope:
Tumblr media
Phillip: I don't know if I care to have my size being public knowledge.
Simon: Well I definitely don't care for it to be public knowledge.
Michael: Hey Simon, ever heard of the brotherhood of man? Show our dear ol Phillip some respect for his monster cock!
Sophie: 😨
Kate: Can I ask how exactly you know so much about what Phil's working with? You haven't been checking him out at the urinal have you?
Michael: I only know because the only thing bigger than the snake in Phil's pants is Eloise's mouth.
Michael: And just to make it clear everything I've said about Phil's outstanding member has been a direct quote from his shy and retiring fiancee.
Michael: I expect @ Penelope can vouch for me on that.
Penelope: yes I can confirm that El likes to go into graphic detail about her sex life without any prompting whatsoever
Kate: Well that checks out seeing as everything that comes out of Eloise's mouth is unprompted 99% of the time.
Penelope: it's almost impressive the endless ways she's uniquely gone about describing Phil's eye-watering meat wand
Sophie: :(
Michael: She's literally spent the last half an hour talking very loudly at Franny on the subject in the next room.
Michael: Says she's contemplating investing in a cane since a night with Phil always leaves her hobbling around the next day.
Simon has left the chat

Part | • the introduction
It was loud.
not too loud, but loud enough to make val want to leave on entry, she took a deep breath through the bass and the heavy smell of liquor and sweat, reminding herself of the bind to this so called mission, her and her guards swerved through the crowd, not that they had to do much shifting in the first place, people started making room once they saw the had-to-be-illegal weapons and heavy body armor, once they made it past the crowd the only thing in front of them was a DJ area and a gold spiral staircase, two bodyguards standing at the start of each rail and two following her upstairs to the large office
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"la anaconda feminina, queen of chicago."
ghost stated, tossing the light yellow folder on the metal table, valeria glanced at the folder and back at the shadow some do not call a man, picking up the folder and reading its almost empty contents, the mystery woman barely having a secured middle name
"what's this for?"
"your freedom."
the cartel leader let out a small chuckle despite the fact the lieutenant didn't speak a hint of a joke, silence stood for a few seconds before the woman actually sat up towards the hard tale, hands still restrained to the back of the chair
"and once i find her?"
"depends on if you can follow instructions."
"i want my men and my guns back"
"that can be arranged."
the woman let a small smirk slip, sitting back to her previous position
"what do you need her for?"
"that is none of your concern."
"it is. "
the male wanted to pinch the bridge of his ose but he had to remain professional and keep his sanity in one piece unless he wanted an earful from price
"we need her alive."
"when?"
"last day of next month."
"that's a lot of trust you're handing me."
"don't fuck it up."
ghost stood and the metal chair screeched against the floor, wooden door closing behind him as val stared at the folder
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The remaining men stood outside of the VIP area, val entered, gold hued, translucent beads, a dark oak table in the middle with a black marble top, and at least six different mean dressed in all black camo and in the same, if not better, armor as her men, and in the middle sat the one and only.
You sipped a bit of champagne, silk dress and skin glowing alongside the beads, hearing them shifting brought your attention from the glass forward, you were expecting company, since one of her chiefs informed you of her coming
but what you didn't expect was a hand. reaching to shake yours before she said anything. the air was still. the queen of chicago didn't do physical touch.
and one of your guards readied his gun before another signaled for him not to do so.
you looked at her hand, and then back at her, sizing her up to see if she would back down, she didn't.
you took her hand and it was almost as if the world continued spinning again, relaxing the mutually held breaths in the room
"valeria."
"y/n, pleasure to meet you."
"pleasures all mine"
you hummed, maybe you could get along with her afterall...

Actual real things about the plot of 90's Brazilian children's show Castelo Rá-Tim-Bum
The main character was a 400-year-old boy wizard who lived with his aunt and uncle in a giant-ass castle in the middle of a big city that no one in the city knew about
He lived with his aunt and uncle because his parents and sister were on a trip to Mars and he didn't want to go
The castle was secret but there was a pizza guy who'd pop in once in a while (maybe he worked for a company that delivered pizza to the supernatural?).
There was a kid who lived inside a tv and that was treated as completely normal.
In the first episode he lured the three other protagonists to the castle by making their ball float to the castle entrance (he was bored and wanted friends).
The castle's librarian was a talking orange cat.
There was an alien named Etevaldo who would sometimes pop in for a visit.
There was a random tree in the middle of the castle's foyer where some birds and a talking pink anaconda lived
The anaconda was called Celeste
There was a little purple monster who lived in the castle sewers called Mau (literally, "Bad") who wanted to be bad and a villain but he was really bad at it
There was no explanation as to what Mau was -- he was just this furry purple thing and everyone just went with it
Mau had a rat henchman named Godofredo (Godfrey) who had anxiety problems
The castle had a mouse who drove a mouse-shaped car and everyone was like "Yeah, that's normal, be careful so you don't step on it"
The villain was Doutor Abobrinha (literally, "Doctor Pumpkin"; abobrinha is also slang for "lies", implying he was a liar), who was a realtor who wanted to tear the castle down to gentrify the neighbourhood
The realtor looked like this:

Okay so you’ve got that Naga brain riot, right? I saw an ask about if SJ Eclipse was a naga along with Sun and Moon of that AU.
But LISTEN. My brain conjured this:
Mob Boss Sun and Moon plus Chief Eclipse from that one SJ AU as nagas?
Wanna know what's worse than one mob boss-esque naga? Two mob boss-esque nagas! Granted, SID Sun and Moon aren't as violent leaning as SJ Eclipse, but they're still very much about man-handling and taking what they want when they want it.
SID Sun and Moon take after the yellow anaconda with long, muscular bodies. Sun displays a vibrant yellow color with round brown and black splotches throughout, whereas Moon is a deep cobalt blue with sharper, crescent-like gray and red splotches. Both are sinister and cunning and are deeply enthralled by you.
Since you've attracted so much attention from other rivals in the jungle, they don't mind using you as they deem fit. That's not to say they don't have a certain hunger for you, they simply mean to take advantage of your high demand to coerce you into leading other nagas right where they want them so they might take out the competition.
Of course, you're not a very willing participant. You resist and deny them your assistance but they refuse to let you go so easily. Whichever way you step, there's Sun, blocking your path with his wide smile and long body, and when you turn around, Moon is coiled, cutting off your exit. He's not so polite in pointing out that you're cornered. When you're surrounded by the two, you almost wonder if there is truly nowhere to run. They tend to trap you between them, with Moon grabbing your waist from behind and Sun holding your chin tightly in his palm. They muse and hiss over you, wondering when you'll realize that it's only their way. They'd rather not see your pretty face get red and flushed from constantly fighting.
(They're lying.)
Police Chief Eclipse on the other hand is the most caring of all the Eclipse nagas. His dark and burgundy scales lie low along the wetlands and marshes, and his wide, soft amber eyes follow your every step, hoping you don't trip. He's concerned for you. He's the one to warn you to leave, even if he'd rather you stay a little longer. He tells you again and again that you shouldn't be here. You should stay at the base with the other two humans. You don't listen—you're stubborn and scared—and that frustrates him to no end (and endears him). His heart aches at all you endure from each creature. He's had thoughts of simply carrying you away, far from the jungle, where he shouldn't venture, just to make sure you'll be okay. He wants you out of reach from his brothers.
But of course, you don't listen. He's forced to keep up with your precarious position in the jungle.

i haven't much to contribute to this fandom other than headcanons, so HEADCANONS FOR THE SCP FOUNDATION BECAUSE RAAHHHH
SCP 682 and SCP 079 are the bestest of friends. i don't make the rules. SCP 682 has visited him during multiple breaches, but SCP 079 can't recall the visits in particular, he just remembers 682 and has it stored in one of his files to ask about him whenever he sees staff.
Gears works himself half to death, constantly. back when Iceberg was still alive and well, he would always peak a visit to Gears' office at night before he went to bed, just to check if he'd passed out at his desk. if so, Iceberg would secretly take him back to his room. Gears never figured out who was doing it. 💀
Clef has an obsession with snakes. like, a big one. he tried to sneak a massive fucking anaconda in the foundation once to keep as a pet. Iceberg snitched on him because he doesn't like snakes
Bright's friend group tries to figure out his family lore like they're deciphering the fucking bible, especially Iceberg and Clef. they constantly ask him nonchalant questions about it and try to figure out what the fuck is up with his family, to no avail most of the time.
the O5 doesn't get along or agree for shit. a staff member could be reprimanded for something and receive a letter about it from the O5 one day, only for them to get a letter the next day from the O5 praising them for it. it gets very confusing
SCP 953, despite being an arguably aggressive SCP, gets along with the rest of the SCPs extremely well, especially other female SCPs or children SCPs. she doesn't get along with staff tho. like, at all.
SCP 2845 is very nice to pet. that's all, that's the headcanon.
SCP 2845 gives great advice, when it chooses to speak to personnel. it's much more cooperative with younger personnel as opposed to older personnel, finding them more pleasant and taking more pity on them.
this WILL be added to i just don't know what to write anymore atm :3

Omg it's so random but Does Kai and Skylor still wear clothes to hide potential genitals from people ? If so, how Wu does get the clothes ? Because they're both pretty large and tall so they need extra sized clothe now.
Does Kai and Skylor still sleep in a bed ? You said they can pretty much curl on themselves and sleep anywhere but maybe they could sleep together in a king sized matress with a lot of warm blankets ?
Okay, yeah, that's definitely random! But, a reasonable question.
So, I'm gonna answer your ask in reverse, so that any snake people nudity can be included under a read more. Later, I'll post the illustration of Kai napping separately (with a matching Skylor art) too for people who wanna reblog that but not the rest of this answer.
As for beds, yeah, Kai and Skylor can still sleep in beds. They usually do. However, they are also very comfortable sleeping from suspended forms. Anacondrai would sleep in swamp trees and rainforest branches suspended over bodies of water for quick escapes and opportunistic hunting opportunities.
(I'm realizing now; considering how large Anacondrai can get, they almost definitely hunted gators at some point in history)
Tumblr media
As for concern of nudity and clothes:
Skylor and Kai technically don't need to wear clothes, but it'd feel pretty weird if they didn't, like walking around in underwear but not pants; technically you're covered but Man It Feels Weird.
I personally HC that Skylor didn't get to pick out much of her wardrobe growing up with her father, so she's taking advantage of her new freedom to use it to express herself. She may have no control over being an Anacondrai or how that looks, but she has control over how she dresses now, and she embraces that.
in season 5, Wu apparently orders the Ninjas clothes? Not just the tea uniforms, it's suggested that their new ninja uniforms arrive that way too. He probably has a friend or something in textile and fashion work that he can call up for getting the clothes for his Ninja.
Skylor doesn't have that and I don't think she would have been taught how to alter clothes, but I figure she could go to Nya for help on that front. Nya designed her own Samurai suit (and also had more than a few hand-me-down outfits in her life), she definitely knows how to alter clothes to fit better. Kai is the one who suggests it when he sees Skylor struggling with, say, skirts designed for human waists and not Serpentine ones.
Further answer (including an illustration; not NSFW I don't think but there are no clothes) under the read more;
Snakes genitalia is internal, so, no, at any given point Kai and Skylor don't have to worry about it. The closest to that would be the pelvic spurs, but I HC those only occur on wild snakes and not on Serpentine. It's one of the ways you can tell a Serpentine newborn apart from a normal snake.
(Fun Fact: Anacondas are ovoviviparous, meaning they hatch their eggs internally and give birth to live young instead of laying eggs like Pythons)

(why'd I dedicate so much time to the lighting on the scales in this? No clue)
For some reason Aspheera canonically has breasts (or the implication of them in the contour of her clothing at least). But I refuse to think about what that implies for Serpentine as a whole. Skylor's transformation has basically just given her thicker scale armor across her chest.
I hope that answers your questions!
