You ever realize how abnormally Buckley-like the word count is during Act 6? The first paragraph of page 4117 of Homestuck has A) no paragraph spacings, making it more of a wall of text and B) a huge sign that Andrew lost his simple narration brevity in an MS Paint adventure.

I suppose the relationship and character drama on the meteor was good. Then again, it was also set up nicely. The trolls created a new universe, but couldn't use the door. They had to take the long way via meteor. As such, they are stuck waiting and have nothing better to do. Character and relationship drama is natural in that setting.
Act 6 with the Alpha kids is different. Jane is dealing with assassination attempts, Roxy and Dirk are hiding from the Condense, Jake's island is full of giant and often violent beasts, then Sburb is happening, underlings are everywhere, and the kids finally get to meet each other in person, yet the plot keeps focusing on character and relationship drama. By most people's accounts, the kids should put aside the petty relationship squabbles to focus on the problems at hand, but they don't until those problems get too large and intrusive to ignore. In other words, the Alpha kids had plenty of other things to do besides focusing on characters and their relationships, where the trolls on the meteor didn't.
Even the people on the meteor just dismissing Lord English and Condesce like they were annoyances also infuriates me. You think they would take it a bit more seriously at the stakes. Karkat especially since he knows his friends like Rose, John, Jade, and Dave... would be one of the people to go up against The Condesce, the person who ruled over his planet and that he himself had dreamed to become a Threscutioner despite his mutant blood.

My thoughts on Act 6 so far
Is it just me or is Act 6 kinda screwy?
Unfortunately, I'm not really good in remembering things, but I will say, Act 6 Act 1 was kind of boring. The Corpse Party intermission was pretty stupid. I did notice that the pacing dropped, as well as a bit of the art.
The Alphas were kind of unnecessary and I thought I'd keep the Betas instead.
