i think ppl who arent aroace should stop talking about luffy ships and aroace luffy. ESPECIALLY if theyre very against luffy ships. (like it's fine to hc luffy as aroace and it's fine to not like luffy ships! but holy shit do NOT fill your bs in the ship tags unless you are prepared to be criticized or be sent hate (which is unfortunate bc it just makes us look worse when we're already in the dumps))
anyway fun fact of the day! i held a poll on twt (and i should here too) abt how many ZL shippers are at least on the aroace spec, and it turns out a VAST MAJORITY of us are!
and also if i may add, while it's fine to not like luffy ships bc of Your aroace hc... i find it a little odd that it's always people that arent aroace hating/disliking it. maybe it's bc there are people who know fandom etiquette and not put negativity in ship tags.
(and not to include shipping discourse... while it's not ALL zs shippers... it's somehow always zs shippers. theyre so worried about us 'icky' zl shippers when they go and ship ZS lmao...)
like im sorry but "i am not allowed to openly be your ally today it seems" and then you turn around and?? block aroace people??? that are criticizing you for being wrong??? im sorry but please dont speak for the community and how a HEADCANON is alienating us.
you want to raise awareness and yet you refuse to listen and just whine about hate instead of accepting youre wrong. should you be sent hate? no, of course not! should you listen to the aro ace people that are trying to educate you and NOT block them? YES.
sorry i ended up talking about it anyway. im just gonna trust aro/ace ppl with their luffy hcs/ships atp because... 😭
plus for some reason it's ZL always being targeted. i never see mentions of other luffy's ships, mlm or mlw. it just happens to be ZL every time.
i just think yall hate ZL and that you dont care for aroace rep. just sayin.

Might you add a TBR option to your polls? 🏳️‍⚧️🥰
I'm thinking of adding a 5th option for upcoming polls combining "Not yet/Haven't finished yet" as an option for currently reading or wanting to read in the future. Would that work? I dont want to add to many options, because I fear the polls would take too much time to create to be sustainable for me.

im confused about personal plurality, feel free to ignore. for a while now ive wanted imaginary friends (although they are all characters in media) out of- i guess- lonliness? not the best reason, i know, but its lead me down a rabbit hole of researching plurality and whatnot. i know i dont have alters or switches or anything, if i try to call out unprompted i get no response. for some reason im so fixated and almost really wishing i had alters to talk to and experience things with, but i dont. the closest i can get to that is imaginary friends, but they feel puppeted, for lack of better words, and arent autonomous. i really want to make myself belief they are, and in a way i think they want to as well, but i have a feeling thats my brain telling me that, aka not an indication of anything.
if talking about my experiences help at all, for a while i went through a process of mimicking systems, aka having the imaginary friends speak to me in thoughts, but it was all voluntary and scripted. a while later i tried a different method of mentally visualizing these imaginary friends in the same room as me, and sometimes theyd "share" my body, and id pretty much only be the one in control, and theyd just talk to me. again, its not switching or anything, i dont have sudden memory gaps, although my memory of stuff is consistently foggy, ranging from earlier that day to multiple years ago- kinda maybe about a 35% chance ill forget something every time, and the number climbs the longer its been.
with the imaginary friends themselves, its a rough explaination. again, they come from any fictional media i fixate on, but my fixations change nearly weekly, so its never consistent with who it is. i am a copinglinker who links witb these fixations as well, so its a 50/50 of if i want to personally identify as the character, or if they are an imaginary friend. again, conversation is prompted and feels very short, because i think in the back of my mind i know im directing the entire conversation, instead of talking to a seperate person. i want to believe so bad the conversations and opinions are real, but i dont think they are. whenever i ask them if they think theyre autonomous, its either "i dont know" to "yeah, why?" but i feel those answers are fabricated to. i dont know, maybe i just sort through thoughts through characters.
sorry, im rambling. i dont know if this is the right place to go, ans im genuinely hoping none of this is offensive. again, im 99.9% sure im not plural, but i feel /something/ in the back of my mind if i focus hard enough, but then again, it might be confirmation bias or something, i donr know.
if you have any thoughts or advice, please share. this has been plaguing me for nearly a year now and im not sure what to do with the information or how to interpret it. thank you.
Are your imaginary friends actually puppeted, or do they just feel puppeted? Because these aren't the same things.
In tulpamancy, there exists what's known as parroting, where you consciously talk for your tulpa and control their speech. Conversely, there's parrotnoia. This is the fear that you're controlling your headmate even when you aren't.
But if you aren't consciously doing it, it's not parroting.
If you haven't yet, you should check out my article on how to know if your imaginary friend is sentient:
I'll also add that switches feel differently for different systems. For us, it's often like something external is entering the body. But to some systems, it can feel like you're becoming somebody else.
Switching also doesn't usually have amnesia unless you have DID. (Although, if you do have DID, it can be hard to recognize if you have amnesia because... you know... you forget. But don't worry about that right now.)
But it's also normal for some systems to only partially switch, co-front, or just be co-conscious.
If you want them to be more real and developed though, I'd recommend sticking with a few over time. Cycling between proto-headmates every couple weeks means none will get the full development they deserve.

From my perspective the link from oracle of ages/seasons was retconned not to be the same link as a link to the past/link's awakening. If you see the old timeline, it came inbetween those games. But now its put after them, leaving opportunity for it to be a different link (i dont think theres been an official statement yet.)
On top of this, it makes no sense for the links to be the same. Not only do they not look alike, but Oracle Link meets his zelda for the first time in those games. The only reason oracle link was even considered the same one was because the game ends with Link getting on a raft, setting up the events of Link's Awakening, but when Link's Awakening allegedly happens before it really makes no sense for him to be the same link whatsoever...
Anyway! I don't mean to be a know-it-all or anything, and if you already knew this and still chose to combine them that's fine. I think it would be fair to hold a poll pitting ALTTP/LA Link and Oracle Link against each other, in case you want to correct this? But you can do whatever you want. Have a nice day!
I didn't realize it was changed. The Zelda timeline is a confusing and often retconed thing
I think I'll keep the bracket as it is (since it's a bit too late to add a new Link to it)
But when I do the Zelda bracket, I'll separate Link to the Past and Oracle Zelda
I just figured out what to do. I'll make Link to the Past/Link's Awakening's Link and Oracle Link a team.

Not much of a garden update here, but I assure you there has actually been some progress. So here's a photo of one of my dove frens I took one the 28th.
Keep readin' if you wanna hear me blab on about the video posts and ADHD. You've been warned, it's long 😂
So I've been enjoying doing the video-style posts instead of typing 90 paragraphs of nonsense, but I don't want to keep recording with my phone since the videos take up a bunch of space. (As well as me having to take off my dirt-coated gardening gloves every time I want to record.) I could just delete the clips after editing into one video, or just all of them after uploading, but I prefer having things backed up instead of just uploaded online.
I know I could back them up to my computer too, but part of the reason I enjoy the quick clips of nonsense slapped together with minimal editing is because it's simple and I can do it all on my phone. Either plugging it into my computer or even uploading them to Google Drive on my phone then downloading them onto the computer adds extra steps.
Extra steps that seem inconsequential, but something I know about myself is I'm very all or nothing. It's very hard for me to only do half of a thing. In this example that'd be editing the videos together and then hitting the block that I've finished that part and uploaded, but now I need to plug in my phone to the computer to transfer the video files. Or if I back them up to drive, it only has so much space before it yells at me to upgrade lol
Drive seems like the most logical option though as it would give me the freedom to at least have more time before I have to download the backups, however I know for a fact that when that point comes I won't record any more videos even if I want to because I need the space to back them up, but I dont want to sit down on the computer to download the Drive backups because I'm doing other things and will get distracted if I do.
This is a struggle for me in a lot of aspects, can't do Z because I need to do X but I can't do X until I do Y, and I need to finish ABC before I can do Y, but all I really want to finish is Z. And worse is that most times to do Z, there isn't any need for the other stuff. It's just me wanting Z done in a certain way that to do it that certain way, it requires all those other steps. This happens in the garden a lot too, so this rant is kinda still relevant 😅
Thankfully all of that hasn't caused an issue with me just not doing garden things because I want to record it, because trust me when I say that's happened a lot in the past too. (That being me wanting to make a little video of something but not being able to figure out how I want to set up the cameras so I don't do the craft or whatever because I want to record it so it just never happens but sticks in my brain as the thing I want to do but can't till I figure the recording process out.) Depression is the reason why I haven't been gardening 🤣
All this to say I have like, 2 days worth of clips I want to edit into a post to show the progress so far. One day is clips on my phone, the other I recorded with a little action camera and I'm not sure how that's turned out yet since that requires me to upload to the computer to see better. (See computer related snag above as to why thats not done!) Today I might go even further and just bring out my small digital camera I got years ago to do vlogs with, that I never vlogged with.
Which leads me to my last point, and Ima make a poll for thoughts on the idea after this post cause I know this is a lot to read and most folks won't care, and that's fine! I think maybe I will use that camera for vlogging finally. I'd have to learn how to use an actual video editing software, and it'd have to be lightweight cause my once-top-of-the-line-parts-now-10-years-outofdate computer struggles hard to play Helldivers 2 right now, I can't imagine trying to run something like Premier Pro. But to be honest all I want to do is add auto-captions like Ive already done previously so I'm sure I can fine some free or cheap program to do so. I'm just not sure if like, amateur gardening vlog style videos where I mutter to myself as I pour dirt is really a genre of content lmfao. And if it is, it's probs better off on here or tiktok but I'm going insane trying to not film landscape everytime I go to record something.
So like, I dunno, I guess youtube? I can probs figure out how to sorta make it acceptable for portrait orientation viewing after the fact? I have no idea but if there's a gap in video updates for today, that's why 🤣
Alright that's all for now. I gotta get up, get sunscreen'd, and get out there! As long as it's not raining still... it was last night 😅

lrb actually i wont shut up yet but i dont wanna like add more tags. the poll isnt about whats most *realistic* but rather whats more agonizing and i think both bring up interesting ways to interpret that line.
because "he knows bdubs said it and did it to echo that" can come off two ways 1) a genuine response to 'he loves me, he cares' 2) potential way to reference that line and also rub in his death weeks after the event BUT i will be honest i dont think enough of that could be to make fun at bdubs, it doesnt feel like its aimed *at his death* its aimed at the fact etho just. didnt win it for bdubs, like thats what he was doing. not that he was responding in a cheeky way to what bdubs said-- just poking at the fact 'he knows'. "realistically" no, etho maybe didnt watch another pov to find out he said that and no, he wouldnt have held onto this specific line multiple episodes later. the thought of him making a genuine reply to bdubs sets a very different angle of Sad but the second option--
that it is coincidence that it echoes bdubs' words. there is a different kind of agony in it because he leaves both people unaware... etho doesnt know bdubs said that, bdubs doesnt know etho said that. it does come off as the most "realistic" option of course but, it is also my preferred agony because i love it when two people dont know when the other says things like that. especially for etho. bdubs voices loudly his loyalty to etho all season, dying to it. while etho remains as he always does- not a loud loyal lover of his friend but still ever wanting to keep him alive. etho does not express in the way bdubs does-- around bdubs. he does so in a way that flies under the radar, making it seem like his attachment is lesser.
and then. when bdubs dies. its clear to everyone how much he wanted bdubs to live. and when he dies, alone, with no bdubs, its the one moment where he actually says "i love you" even if played off jokingly. bdubs had no clue he confirmed that he loves him, he cares, after hearing his friends claim that etho no longer cared about him. he doubted if etho cared right up to his own death and that is the last thing he got to hear. bdubs dies in doubt and desperation. he wanted to get back to etho and prove himself and be together because if he didnt do it, theyd never be together and he'd never get to maybe hopefully hear etho say that to him directly. the added agony is knowing etho never would have said it if bdubs what right there with him.

I'm curious since you seem to understand the series very well, and especially with your takes on AA5/6, how do you think the mainline series will progress from here? I'm pretty convinced AA7 will eventually happen, but with them continuing to milk superficial nonsense out of their characters and not exploring their actual depth at all, as well as their addiction to raising the stakes to a ridiculous degree, it feels somewhat hopeless to expect a good and engaging game out of AA7. Like the DGS duology is amazing and I want it to give me hope, but then I look back at the main series and remember all the flaws it's been developing in the 3D era and I just feel rather sad.
i can not even BEGIN to guess where the series is going because the decisions that make sense from a narrative perspective, or that make sense from a fan perspective, are completely different than the ones that make sense from a corporate perspective, but the corporate perspective is the one that dictates the franchise at the end of the day
the release of the DGS duology in english, which many people never thought would happen, is i think a really good sign. capcom had a survey released after the localization which basically asked fans for input on the future of the dgs and greater ace attorney franchise which makes me hopeful that theyre going to use the DGS duology as a jumping off point conceptually for future games. but that's all speculation
i'm not sure how the reception was for DGS vs AA5 &6, but the games seem to be pretty well liked and popular in japan, based on the character popularity polls that released for the 20th anniversary. dgs characters scored very high
i dont actually know much about the technical aspects of the games like their respective critical reception or sales figures, but i think if you compare the DGS duology and the 3d mainline, whichever one sold better and was higher rated is probably the direction theyll take the series. after all, they want to make money.
grace rivalsforlife would maybe know more about this. it seems like the kind of thing she'd know. i'll have to ask her about it later.
what i HOPE happens is essentially a soft reboot of the mainline where aa7 (which according to leaks is supposedly happening... but im not sure i believe it yet) takes a page out of DGS's book in terms of art, gameplay, and narrative direction and sort of just adds a breath of fresh air to the incredibly stale shit theyve been churning out.
or honestly i wouldnt be opposed to more spinoff games like if they wanted to make dgs3 or a 3d investigations game or do something else entirely and never touch mainline again i dont think itd be a bad move. id play it.

hey! coming from your post on alterous tags on ao3! did you ever decide on what to use and if so, what is it and has it been used yet? thank you!
(referring to this post)
hi hello! short answer: no, nothing's been decided yet!
long answer: here are the results so far! as of right now at the time im posting this (8/26), the poll looks like this! results pulled from a pool of 169 responses.
--(a soft note, some responses were removed because people were not being respectful with the "fill in your own tag" option, which ultimately ended up in me removing that option altogether. i didn't feel it very fair to keep any of the legitimate responses that were sent in when nobody could vote on them. to those of you who sent legitimate responses in, my apologies. i didn't really expect my little post to get as much attention as it did, so if you think i should add anything back in, let me know please!)
Tumblr media
45% of people liked A~B
41.4% of people liked A+B
28.4% of people liked A*B
12.4% of people liked A-B
9.5% of people liked A^B
7.7% of people liked A#B
most people liked A~B and A+B, and as i checked the poll i noticed they were fairly tied the entire time i've had this survey up.
i personally really like the way A~B looks, but so long as we get a tag i dont really care at all ahahah. also if anyone knows a way to actually propose this to AO3's tag wranglers, PLEASE let me know! i really want to make this an actual thing!
SO. as of today, the survey is STILL OPEN, and i'll link it below. i wasn't expecting to get as many responses as i did, but i'd really like if we could get more responses and opinions before i close the poll!
one last thing; i'll likely be closing the survey around/after october 31st. it feels like a good end date to me, and i'll probably make a post with the results afterwards!
as always guys, send me feedback about all this! im far from the only aspec person who exists in aspec relationships, and i definitely shouldn't be in charge of anything ahdjghfjk

If tumblr’s forcing people to test the beta without giving them a means to turn it off... Now seems like an okay time to bring this back.
I made a cheep, very very basic alternative for RPers. For those who dont want to completely retreat to Discord. Which I have, as of now, affectionately dubbed
                             “BETAESCAPE”
It’s a site members can join to share photos, write short or long posts, reply to other folks, like posts and do all the basic social media functions. It’s a meat and potatoes platform that gives the members a functional website without having to subject themselves to having to move to facebook or twitter or going discord-only.
Pros:
It functions as intended
You can write “Quick posts” with no formatting and no character limit (that I’ve discovered) or you can write “articles” with as much formatting as you want.
Nested/threaded replies that you can add basic formatting to! And you can add pictures to your replies as well.
Members get a profile where you can have an avatar, a header and can write a brief bio/rules/muse list/whatever you like.
You can post pictures, videos and even attach FILES!
You can blacklist!  Instructions are provided on the moderator blog for how to do this.
You can instant message other members. Which includes being able to send files over IMs.
You can tag other members in posts with the @ function
It’s FREE TO JOIN. Some premium functions may cost money and may be lost without donations but creating an account (or multiple) will NEVER cost you a cent.
THERE’S AN APP! Just download the MIGHTY NETWORKS app through your app store and find “betaescape” to access all functions from your mobile device.
Cons:
It is unfortunately not what tumblr used to be. There is no “reblogging” to add comments. You cannot “share” a post at all. Tumblr had a very unique posting system that not many other sites have had and is difficult to recreate. This functions a bit more like Twitter but with the option to make bigger posts. (But if you like or reply to a post it will show up on your activity for your followers to see. So there will be a means to track your replies)
It’s VERY simplistic. No frills. It’s free and made by someone who is NOT a coder. And even if I was, this is not the kind of site builder that really allows for coding. You use what they offer
Image quick posts only allow one image at a time. You can post as many images as you like in an “article” but there are no “photoset” options. But that part of tumblr still works just fine for content creators who make edits. It’s the writing part that this site is intended for.
If you want to blacklist a topic, it must be a topic made by the HOST (me). Unfortunately it’s impossible to give members access to create their own ‘topics’. But if you want a topic to blacklist something, you can message me on that site and ask that I create a topic for people to use so you can blacklist. The standard tagging system isn’t what works on this site.
I currently do not have the premium options that include things like Polls, groups and events. But if a lot of people express interest in joining/USING the site I may consider it. But considering this is really just a “worst case scenario” option, I haven’t yet gotten those features. Because they cost real world money.

Startling out of bed, you jolt awake after dreaming another nightmare about Chan getting hurt.
It was the second time you woke in the middle of the night, usually panting or rotating your body quickly in an attempt to find Chan, until the latter eventually calms you down and talks to you until you fall asleep again.
Luckily, he was still recovering. Chan, being the fighter he is, still had to maintain some exercise in his day, but other than that the doctor specifically says he has to have a few week’s rest until he can get back to training and regaining his strength.
Once you were fully awake, you feel the emptiness in the bed and notice that Chan had left. Trusting him, you leave the absence aside and find your journal left on the bedside table, a part bookmarked by your pen — You probably must’ve slept whilst writing, and Chan moved your items to the side so you had more freedom to move.
Exiting to find Chan, you face the sight of an open fridge in the kitchen covering Jeonghan’s figure, before it closes and Jeonghan is surprised at your silent scare, spilling some milk on the floor.
“Well.” He pronounces, having. You scoff in reply and greet him a good morning, like any good person would do.
You too, find something to eat as well — But being polite, you settle with an apple on the counter — Until Jeonghan tuts and sets up a whole breakfast for you to eat because ‘only eating apples won’t give you a healthy diet’.
Finally, when you get to eat, Jeonghan proceeds to drink his milk and check the time, eventually looking at you when he’s finished doing those tasks. “I’m doing the laundry today so if you kids did anything frisky I’m not letting Chan see you for a week.”
“We didn’t do anything ‘frisky’ Jeonghan,” You reason, subtly rolling your eyes, “We’re not like that. I’m not. He’s not like that either.”
“Chan’s never like that.” Jeonghan agrees, setting his empty glass in the sink and picking up a phone call. “Hello? Oh, yeah… I’m coming, don’t worry!… Really? Want to make that a race?… Okay. I’ll make sure to find a nice place before you come… Heh, bye.”
When Jeonghan ends the call, he looks at you, squints as if he forgot what to say, then opens his mouth looking like he remembered what he was going to say.
“Also, about Chan, he’s in the shower — He’ll be out soon.” Jeonghan announces before he adds, “I need to get going too. I’ve got to go help a couple of friends.”
“You sure? That call didn’t sound like just a friend. Who smiles through a whole conversation while talking to their homie? And I know that smile is more than just a smile for your friends.”
“Alright! So maybe I have a breakfast date to go to, and then I’ll help my friends!”
You smile at Jeonghan’s defeated and whiny reaction. “That’s more like it.”
Jeonghan smiles back, simultaneously placing on his coat while you watch and sip your glass of water.
Hesitantly, you say, “Hey Jeonghan?”
“Hm?”
“Did it… Hurt? Watching Chan’s state in the hospital?”
And all Jeonghan does is smile sadly. “Y/N, it’s lucky he’s even alive. Each day I couldn’t take my eyes off him, because if I do, and something goes wrong, I’m the one responsible for it. I don’t know what I’d do with him gone.”
“Ah, yeah…”
Jeonghan stands and stares at your face with a scrunched expression, his grip loosening on the doorknob so he could walk to you and embrace you in a hug. “You’re so strong for going through all of this, I know how it feels, and in time it’ll get better. Trust me.”
Once he lets go, you sniff in an attempt to hide your tears and nod, watching him exit out the door.
“See you Y/N.”
“Bye Jeonghan, take care.”
“I will,” And Jeonghan raises his voice a little louder, “bye Chan!” He says and you smile at the thought of Jeonghan always saying bye to Chan even when he can’t hear him, and the male heads off and locks the door so you wouldn’t have to fumble with the keys.
You move to the couch after putting all the plates and cutlery in the sink, curled in a ball in silence, not really looking at anything in particular, but holding Softie and Oldie in your arms.
Your head automatically bobs up when you hear the door open and feel the heat travel into the living room, guessing it’s Chan. “Chan?” Weakly, you raise your voice, waiting for the male to reply.
“Darling?” You hear him mumble to himself, soon seeing him walk in with a towel on his damp hair and in fresh baggy clothes. He melts into a smile when he gazes at you, walking towards the couch and hopping over to tackle you in a hug.
He presses his cheek next to yours and you giggle uncontrollably. “Chan your hair is still damp! Chan, are you listening to me? Chan!”
Chan eventually stops and the two of you stay in the same cuddling position, with Chan holding you and making sure he’s holding your hands. Especially after showers and when he’s relaxed, his eyes tend to typically drop and act more lazily than usual.
Despite the dampness, you still pat his hair, moving your hands down to feel his cheek, soon patting that area too. “Sleepy?” Chan nods, and you hum a small laugh. “Sleeping beauty, more like sleeping cutie…”
“So lame…” Chan mumbles sleepily, his eyes closed, but the smile remains on his face.
“Hm, an old timer like you can’t say much.”
The pair of you move to a more comfortable position — Where you’re in a better and upright position while tangling you legs together. It was easier to look at each other in silence too, which was all you needed.
While studying Chan, he pecks your head. “Hey,” You say quietly, mad that he stopped your train of thought, but forgiving him when you mirror his grin, “what was that for?”
“You were focused. It’s adorable.” He then pecks you another time, on your eyelids. “That’s because I love you.” Another on one cheek, “Because you make me so happy,” Then the other, “because I don’t think I’d be here without you.”
His last words sounded so loving, but in unison with being so broken at the same time. You love him so much, and you definitely can’t let him slip through your fingers another time.
“Do you think it’s time yet?”
You shake your head, covering your lips, “Nope, you’re not worthy of it yet.”
Chan pouts, “But Darling… How long do I have to wait?”
Giggling at his expression, you kiss your fingers and ‘transfer’ the kiss to his lips, saying, “You’re so precious.” (Which Chan follows by pressing a kiss to your fingertips)
Shuffling, you move your hands to Chan’s face and cup his cheeks, your forefinger twirling parts of his hair. You stay in this moment for a while, staring at each other.
Although there’s no words, you’re clearly having an argument with your heart and brain inside — The brain saying you need to support Chan in this, this means everything to him while the heart replies you know how last time ended up, he’s too special to you, you can’t lose him.
It was so difficult. Nothing about this was easy at all — Why couldn’t your life with Chan be as simple as standing at a bridge without any worries, or spending your days in areas where nothing but happiness lasts, or like right now where no words have to justify your adoration for each other, and presence is enough.
You don’t realise your hands beginning to shake a lot. No, you weren’t crying, but the air felt like it was getting hard to breathe in, almost suffocating you. Thinking about it is so scary, thinking of the future is even more terrifying, the past brings unwanted memories, and the present is the most worrying.
“Hey, hey, hey—“ Chan immediately places his hands on top of yours, pulling your hands closer to his ears. “I’m here — Y/N, I’m here. I’m right here, I’m staying.”
The words ring in your ears to a fuzzy night and you continue to look right at Chan.
“Repeat it with me, you’re here, I’m here. We’re staying.”
“You’re here, I’m here. We’re… We’re staying. You’re here… I’m… Here… Staying — We’re staying. We’re… Staying. Staying—”
You collect your breaths and breathe steadily again, leaning forward to Chan and listening to his heartbeat as you hold each other’s hands and close your eyes.
Chan was right. The both of you were going to stay.

Hi I’m gonna tell about FE reps in smash to make me feel better and calm down because I really need a void to scream to
Ok so: I don’t hate FE but I hate its representation in smash, note, this comes from someone who never played an FE game in their live
So yeah, y’all need to chill and realize your bias is hurting you opinions about these characters, 5 of them have the same fucking moveset, one is made total garbage for some reason and one is unfun to play against
Also, don’t say ‘oh but they’re popular in Japan’ because you knowbehat else is popular in Japan? Zelda, Kirby, Star Fox
‘Oh but mario and Pokémon have even more reps’ yeah BUT THEYRE ACTUALLY FUCKING IMPORTANT AND ALL CHARACTERS MOSTLY UNIQUE WITH LIKE 2.5 EXCEPTIONS BETWEEN BOTH OF THESE SERIES, AND FIRS EMBLEM ISNT EVEN IN NINTENDO’S TOP 15
Not a single FE game has sold more than 4 million units, Meanwhile in 2 games FUCKING NINTENDOGS AND BRAIN TRAINING SOLD MORE THAN ALL FE GAMES, THE BEST SELLING FE GAME BARELY EVEN REACHES 3 MILLION AND FANS DONT EVEN LIKE IT
‘Oh but FE needs it for marketing’ NO IT FUCKING DOESNT, AL FE GAMES WERE FLOPS EVEN WITH SMASH, AND THE TWO THAT WERENT FLOPS WERE POPULAR BEFORE SMASH
Also, can we talk about HALF OF THE FUCKING FE REPS COMING FROM THE SAME GAME? ONE OF THEM WASNT EVEN SUPPOSED TO BE A CHARACTER LUCINA WAS ORIGINALLY AN ALT FOR MARTH, AND CHROM WAS ONLY REQUESTED BECAUSE FANS WERE BASICALLY GUILT-TRIPPED INTO WANTING HIM, ROY’S GAME WASNT EVEN OUT BEFORE HE GOT INTO SMASH AND CORRIN’S WAS FOR LIKE, 3 MONTHS
‘Oh but FE is known for its characters so it has to have a lot of characters’ Yeah, ZELDA IS KNOWN FOR ITS CHARACTERS, YET 3 ARE THE SAME, 1 HAS A COMPLETELY MADE-UP MOVESET AND ONE IS A FUCKING CAPTAIN FALCON CLONE, also, NAME A SINGLE FE CHARACTERS THAT CAN BE CONSIDERED AN ICONIC VIDEOGAME CHARACTERS, I FUCKING DARE YOU
Nintendo, if FE characters aren’t getting lower next game AT LEAST FUCKING PUT ORIGINAL ONES AND NOT JUST SWORDFIGHTERS
This is what I’d do: we keep marth, make Lucina appear in his alts (LIKE SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO), make Roy and echo of marth, add either Corrin or Robin and get rid of the rest, badabim badaboom, fixed
Also, one final thing: THE APO DOESNT DUCKING MATTER IT HAD 5 MIL DOWNLOADS AT BEST PEOPLE THAT DOWNLOADED IT WERE JUST SPENDING TOO MUCH MONEY ON IT
Edit: ALSO, THERE WAS A POLL IN JAPAN ABOUT PEOPLE WANT IN SMASH SOME TIME BEFORE THE AUGUST DIRECT, NONE OF THE TOP 20 CHARACTERS WERE FROM FE

Are There More Democrats Or Republicans In The Usa
If A Party Gets What It Wants In The Pursuit Of Delivering Something Most People Want Most Of The Time So Be It
This mayor joining the GOP says theres no Democratic Party anymore’
Theres nothing morally wrong with being the party of corporate interests. Theres nothing wrong, for that matter, with viewing politics as the preserve of the few, not the many. Whats wrong is lying about it. Whats wrong is treating the opposition as if it does not have a legitimate claim. Whats wrong is setting off a conflagration of white-power fury that consumes nearly everything, even the republic itself, in order to slake a thirst for power. The day Joe Biden decided to run for president was the day this white-power fury burned through Charlottesville, screaming, Jews will not replace us. That day, according to published reports, is the day Biden chose to fight to restore the soul of America.
Maybe hes full of it. Maybe Biden and the Democrats dont really believe what they say when they talk about everyone being in this together. Thats certainly what the Republicans and their media allies believe. A critic said Thursday that we can expect to see from Biden lofty rhetoric about unity, while acting below the radar to smash norms to implement the Left-wing agenda. The same day, a Times reporter asked the White House press secretary why the administration has not offered a bipartisan fig leaf to the Republicans, given the president putting so much emphasis on unity. Maybe the Democrats dont mean what they say. Maybe its just politics-as-usual.
Investor George Marcus And His Wife Judith Gave $9610125 Mostly To Democrats
Total donations: $9,610,125
Net worth: $1.5 billion
George Marcus is the founder of real-estate brokerage Marcus & Millichap Company, according to the companys website. Marcus is also the chairman of Essex Property Trust, a multi-family real-estate investment trust, and he serves on the board of California-based commercial bank Greater Bay Bancorp.
The Marcuses gave $10,400 to Republicans in 2018, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. The rest went to Democrats.
Republican Presidents Of The 20th Century
Theodore Roosevelt, 26th, 19011909: The “Trust Buster” is considered one of America’s greatest presidents. He was charismatic and larger than life. He was also the youngest of all the presidents, entering office at age 42. In contrast to later Republican presidents, Roosevelt fought hard to limit the powers of large oil and railroad companies.
William H. Taft, 27th, 19091913: Taft may be best known for supporting “Dollar Diplomacy,” the idea that US foreign policy should provide stability with the ultimate goal of promoting American commercial ventures. He was the only president who served as a justice of the Supreme Court .
Warren G. Harding, 29th, 19211923: Harding served just one day shy of three years, dying of a heart attack while in office. His presidency saw the end of World War I but was marked by scandals involving bribery, fraud, and conspiracy.

There are one or more reasons why you chose that person to be your friend. While democrats believe in supporting a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants, republicans in a little more than 50 years there will be no majority race in the us. Not one nra member, tea party member, nor republican conservative was involved in these shootings and. There is a good reason for this asymmetry, write grossmann and hopkins. Republicans are more skeptical of the theory of evolution, though by a surprisingly slim margin with 39 percent of them rejecting it as compared to 30 percent of democrats.
There should a strong federal government. The supreme court should have jurisdiction over the legislative branch. There was almost no partisan imbalance among in terms of dollar value, less than a third of individual donations went to democrats. What republican and democrats believe. There are many benefits to timing your practice, including
On the other hand, the republican party is pretty much younger than the democratic party. Instead, they’ve told a lie to people they stiffed on education and have bled them dry just a bit more. Clearly, there is a problem with democrats and guns. Since 1945, democratic presidents have put forward 39 percent more policy proposals than republican presidents, and 62 percent more domestic policy proposals. Who can tell from this story?
Widest Perception Gap At Political Extremes
Tumblr media
In one of the largest national studies of Americas polarization ever conducted, More in Commons Hidden Tribes report identified seven political tribes:
The Hidden Tribes of America
The Perception Gap study builds on these insights. It finds that the most partisan, politically active Americans a group we call the Wings have deeply distorted perceptions of the other side. The two groups with the widest Perception Gaps are the Progressive Activists and the Devoted Conservativesthe most ideological and committed groups of Democrats and Republicans.
And which is the most accurate segment? Surprisingly, its the Politically Disengaged. They are fully three times more accurate in their estimates of political opponents than members of either of these Wing groups. The V-shaped Perception Gap shows that the less invested you are in politics today, the less distorted your perception of politics.

At Least 60 Afghans And 13 Us Service Members Killed By Suicide Bombers And Gunmen Outside Kabul Airport: Us Officials
Two suicide bombers and gunmen attacked crowds of Afghans flocking to Kabul’s airport Thursday, transforming a scene of desperation into one of horror in the waning days of an airlift for those fleeing the Taliban takeover. At least 60 Afghans and 13 U.S. troops were killed, Afghan and U.S. officials said.
Are There More Democrats Than Republicans In The United States
I have been thinking about the Democratic Party and whether or not its members are more numerous than the opposing faction.
Evidence to suggest this is the case:
This party is expected to win the popular vote for president seven out of eight times since 1992. Please don’t say “this hasn’t happened yet”. If this bothers you, say 6 out of 7. The party has received 51.9 percent of the votes cast in presidential elections from 1992 to 2016 for it or its opponent, the Republican Party. This shows that 2012 was the mean election in popular vote as of 2016. Party registration in states that register by party says this same thing. Trump’s approval has not gone above 50 percent ever as president on 538. A plurality of Americans consistently supported impeachment by 2 to 5 points while it was happening.
This suggests that the partisan lean the American electorate is about D+4. I believe that it might be closer to D+5 now for various reasons and the fact that 2012 was the mean result. This can get a little bit fuzzy because of independents.
If we look at opinion polling, Gallup has collated party affiliation polls back to 2004. The most recent poll at the time of writing gives a D+11 advantage. Looking just at the net Republican/Democrat advantage, ignoring Independents, we can create the graph below – with positive percentages representing a Democrat lead, and negative percentages representing a Republican lead.
To give a theoretical perspective on this:

The Republican Party General Policy And Political Values
The Republican Party is often referred to as the GOP. This abbreviation stands for Grand Old Party. Its logo is an elephant. The Republican Party is known to support right-leaning ideologies of conservatism, social conservatism, and economic libertarianism, among other -isms. Thus, Republicans broadly advocate for traditional values, a low degree of government interference, and large support of the private sector.
One main standpoint of the Republican Party platform is a strong focus on the family and individual freedom. Generally, the Republican Party therefore often tends to promote states and local rights. That means that they often wish for federal regulations to play a lesser role in policymaking. Furthermore, the GOP has a pro-business-oriented platform. Thus, the party advocates for businesses to exist in a free market instead of being impacted by tight government regulations.
Chart 1 And Table 2: Nationwide Party Registration Trends Since 2000
More Republicans registered to vote than Democrats
Since 2000, the nationwide proportion of registered Democratic and Republican voters in party registration states have both gone down, while the percentage of registered independents has steadily grown. The latter has nearly reached the nationwide percentage of registered Republicans, which has long been second nationally to the Democrats. Altogether, the combined number of registered Democrats and Republicans, which was 77% in October 2000, is now down to 69%, while the proportion of registered independents over the same period has increased from 22% to 28%.
Note: Based on active registered voters in states where the number of active and inactive registrants is listed. In the election-eve 2000, 2008, and 2016 entries, Independents include a comparatively small number of registered miscellaneous voters who do not fit into a particular category. Percentages do not add to 100 since the small percentage of registered third party voters is not included.

Gallup: Democrats Now Outnumber Republicans By 9 Percentage Points Thanks To Independents
“I think what we have to do as a party is battle the damage to the Democratic brand,” Democratic National Committee Chairman Jamie Harrison said on The Daily Beast‘s latest New Abnormal podcast. Gallup reported Wednesday that, at least relatively speaking, the Democratic brand is doing pretty good.
In the first quarter of 2021, 49 percent of U.S. adults identified as Democrats or independents with Democratic leanings, versus 40 percent for Republicans and GOP leaders, Gallup said. “The 9-percentage-point Democratic advantage is the largest Gallup has measured since the fourth quarter of 2012. In recent years, Democratic advantages have typically been between 4 and 6 percentage points.”
New Gallup polling finds that in the first quarter of 2021, an average of 49% of Americans identify with/lean toward the Democratic Party, versus 40 percent for Republicans.
That’s the largest gap since 2012:
Greg Sargent
Party identification, polled on every Gallup survey, is “something that we think is important to track to give a sense to the relevant strength of the two parties at any one point in time and how party preferences are responding to events,”Gallup senior editor Jeff Jones told USA Today.

Past Jumps In Party Affiliations
The bump in Democratic affiliation following Biden’s inauguration mirrors that of former President Barack Obama’s first term, Jones said.
“That was really the high point that we’ve seen; kind of the 2006-2009 period, when really the majority of Americans either identified as Democrats outright or were independents but they leaned toward the party,” he said. “Our data on this only goes back to the ’90s, but it’s pretty much the only time we consistently had one party with the majority of Americans on their side.”
Republican advantages, though rarer and more short-lived, followed the Gulf War in 1991 when George H.W. Bush was in office and the 9/11 terrorist attacks during President George W. Bush’s term, according to Gallup. More people also reported GOP affiliation after the 1994, 2010 and 2014 midterm elections.
Whether the Republican Party can regain advantage during the 2022 midterm elections may rely on the successes of the Biden administration, according to Jones.
“A lot of it is going to depend on how things go over the course of the year. If things get better with the coronavirus and the economy bounces back and a lot of people expect Biden can keep relatively strong approval ratings, then that will be better for the Democrats,” Jones said. “But if things start to get worse unemployment goes up or coronavirus gets worse  then his approval is going to go down. It’s going to make things a lot better for the Republican Party for the midterm next year.”
They Deliberately Destroy Moral Standards To Consolidate Power
Tumblr media
Yale historian Timothy Snyder argues compellingly in The Road to Unfreedom, as well as in many talks, that oligarchs consolidating power and wealth benefit from creating an atmosphere of uncertainty, disbelief in facts, making it seem like political parties and leaders are uniformly corrupt, so there is nothing that can be done. It is what it is. If this was not so relevant for previous administrations, now we must admit that this is what it is. An administration that surpasses previous ones in corruption is possible because of a groundwork laid over decades of practices that make democracy, equity, and social good far secondary to wealth and power.

Where Republicans And Democrats Differ The Most
But a more telling metric may be the difference between Democrats’ and Republicans ratings. How much more did one party favor a state than the other party? The graphic below shows how much higher the win percentage was among people of that party.
For example, Californias win percentage was 79% among Democrats, but 24% among Republicans, a difference of 55 percentage points. Likewise, Kentuckys win percentage was 68% among Republicans, only 34% among Democrats, for a difference in 35 points .
See the difference in scores for Republicans and Democrats for all 50 states below:
Histories Of The Parties
The Democratic party started in 1828 as anti-federalist sentiments began to form. The Republican party formed a few decades later, in 1854, with the formation of the party to stopping slavery, which they viewed to be unconstitutional.
The difference between a democrat and a republican has changed many, many times throughout history. Democrats used to be considered more conservative, while the republican party fought for more progressive ideas. These ideals have switched over time.

Florida Vs California: How Two States Tackled Covid
The researchers theorized that one reason for the change is that Democrats were in charge of states where people who had the virus first arrived in the country but Republicans were less stringent about safeguards, which could have contributed to their states’ ultimately higher incidence and death rates.
“The early trends could be explained by high Covid-19 cases and deaths among Democratic-led states that are home to initial ports of entry for the virus in early 2020,” the researchers wrote. “However, the subsequent reversal in trends, particularly with respect to testing, may reflect policy differences that could have facilitated the spread of the virus.”
The study, which which was published in the peer-reviewed American Journal of Preventive Medicine, examined Covid-19 “incidence, death, testing, and test positivity rates from March 15 through December 15, 2020,” when there were 16 million confirmed cases in the U.S. and 300,000 deaths. It focused on per-capita infection and death rates in the 26 GOP-led states and 24 Democratic-led states and Washington, D.C., and made statistical adjustments for issues such as population density.
But “policy differences” between the Republican and Democratic leaders emerged as a big factor for the reversal of the states’ fortunes, the study suggests.
One of the most concerning things last year is the politicization of public health restrictions,” Lee said. “Theyre not opinions, theyre based on evidence.
In Her New Book Congress And Us Veterans: From The Gi Bill To The Va Crisis Stevens Assistant Professor Lindsey Cormack Evaluates How The Parties Legislate And Communicate Veterans Policies
Gravitas: US Election 2020 | How Republicans & Democrats are wooing Indian Americans
More than 18 million veterans live in the United States today, according to the latest census, and with worldwide presence and ongoing wars, the military enlists 1.2 million active and 800,000 reserve military personnel across the branches. As a nation, we look up to those who serve. Its a uniting opinion, and 95% of Americans believe its the duty of government to support veterans when they return to the homefront.
The role of devising policies that benefit former soldiers now falls to Congress, and so the creation and communication of veterans policies, like most things in Washington, is subject to the realities of party politics. Republicans are viewed as the party of veterans, public opinion and voting data says so. But in her new book, Stevens Assistant Professor Lindsey Cormack questions how that came to be, as her research shows that congressional Democrats, more often than not, are the ones working to enhance veteran benefits.
On a continuum of legislative behavior, we have one end populated by the dedicated workhorses who draft legislation, hammer out compromises, and get into the weeds of complicated policy questions, Cormack writes in her book. On the other end, there are show ponies that care more about pumping out media sound bites or trying to get the next viral video on YouTube.
Moreover, there is a difference between Republican members of Congress expressing support for veterans benefits and actively legislating to accomplish it.

Democrats Got Millions More Votes So How Did Republicans Win The Senate
Senate electoral process means although Democrats received more overall votes for the Senate than Republicans, that does not translate to more seats
Follow live updates on US politics
The 2018 midterm elections brought significant gains for Democrats, who retook the House of Representatives and snatched several governorships from the grip of Republicans.
But some were left questioning why Democrats suffered a series of setbacks that prevented the party from picking up even more seats and, perhaps most consequentially, left the US Senate in Republican hands.
Among the most eye-catching was a statistic showing Democrats led Republicans by more than 12 million votes in Senate races, and yet still suffered losses on the night and failed to win a majority of seats in the chamber.
Constitutional experts said the discrepancy between votes cast and seats won was the result of misplaced ire that ignored the Senate electoral process.
Because each state gets two senators, irrespective of population, states such as Wyoming have as many seats as California, despite the latter having more than 60 times the population. The smaller states also tend to be the more rural, and rural areas traditionally favor Republicans.
This year, because Democrats were defending more seats, including California, they received more overall votes for the Senate than Republicans, but that does not translate to more seats.
The rise of minority rule in America is now unmistakable
Origins Of The Color Scheme
Tumblr media
The colors red and blue are also featured on the United States flag. Traditional political mapmakers, at least throughout the 20th century, had used blue to represent the modern-day Republicans, as well as the earlier Federalist Party. This may have been a holdover from the Civil War, during which the predominantly Republican north was considered “blue”. However, at that time, a maker of widely-sold maps accompanied them with blue pencils in order to mark Confederate force movements, while red was for the union.
Later, in the 1888 presidential election, Grover Cleveland and Benjamin Harrison used maps that coded blue for the Republicans, the color perceived to represent the Union and “Lincoln‘s Party”, and red for the Democrats. The parties themselves had no official colors, with candidates variously using either or both of the national color palette of red and blue .

Reality Check #4: The Electoral College And The Senate Are Profoundly Undemocraticand Were Stuck With Them
Because the Constitution set up a state-by-state system for picking presidents, the massive Democratic majorities we now see in California and New York often mislead us about the partys national electoral prospects. In 2016, Hillary Clintons 3-million-vote plurality came entirely from California. In 2020, Bidens 7-million-vote edge came entirely from California and New York. These are largely what election experts call wasted votesDemocratic votes that dont, ultimately, help the Democrat to win. That imbalance explains why Trump won the Electoral College in 2016 and came within a handful of votes in three states from doing the same last November, despite his decisive popular-vote losses.
The response from aggrieved Democrats? Abolish the Electoral College! In practice, theyd need to get two-thirds of the House and Senate, and three-fourths of the state legislatures, to ditch the process that gives Republicans their only plausible chance these days to win the White House. Shortly after the 2016 election, Gallup found that Republican support for abolishing the electoral college had dropped to 19 percent. The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, a state-by-state scheme to effectively abolish the Electoral College without changing the Constitution, hasnt seen support from a single red or purple state.

Squad Member Says Black People Don’t Trust the COVID Vaccine
The CDC and other groups have been arguing in recent days about who should head to the front of the coronavirus vaccine line after healthcare workers have all gotten their shots. Some say the next shots should go to the elderly and those with pre-existing conditions – the ones who are most likely to suffer lethal effects from the virus. Others say that the next round of shots should go to “essential workers,” since they have no choice but to be out among the public.
And then some, like Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), a card-carrying member of the House “Squad” of socialists, are more interested in talking about the COVID vaccine from a racial standpoint.
She appeared on CNN on Sunday, where she was asked by host Abby Phillip to speak about the vaccine and the racial breakdown of those who say it’s not for them.
“According to the CDC, black Americans are almost three times as likely to die from the coronavirus as white people. And yet, this poll by the Kaiser Family Foundation found that only 20 percent of blacks want to get the vaccine as soon as possible versus 40 percent of whites. You were vaccinated yesterday. You tweeted about it. What do you say to the majority of black people that say they’re not rushing to do what you did just yesterday?” asked Pressley.
“Yes, I did have the vaccine administered yesterday in order to maintain the continuity of government, but also because, you know, I live with like millions of Americans, two preexisting conditions, and doing my part both to keep myself safe so that I can continue to do my job to fight for my district and the American people, keeping my family safe but also stopping the spread of this virus which has raged out of control — which has everything to do with the willful criminality of Donald Trump and I would add even the GOP-led Senate because they have dragged their feet on making the investments necessary to meet the scale and scope of this hurt, and to invest in contact tracing and things like that,” Pressley said.
“So I do want to acknowledge that I had to overcome, you know, some of those distrust issues myself — the medical community exacting ostensibly medical apartheid on black Americans, on indigenous people … on our most marginalized communities,” she continued. “They have violated the trust, and that’s very real. And so I wanted to set an example…And I’m going to continue to fight for our most vulnerable — communities who have been disproportionally impacted by the virus, for our health care workers, for our essential workers, for incarcerated men and women to be prioritized in the distribution of the vaccine.”
Further proof that there is nothing that the far-left can’t turn into an issue of race, bigotry, and oppression.

Note
ive seen dr lenihan for private transition, and was told i MUST legally change my name before they'll give me T. Im not ready to do that yet; im not 100% used to my name, havent picked a middle name, and i REALLY dont have the money, time or mental energy to change it legally until summer, because im right in the middle of 1st year at uni, AND my ID will then be 'male' when i dont pass at all in the first 6 months of T. I explained all this but she just said it was their policy and i have to
....Can they force me to change my name like that? And what if, by chance, my given name was 'gender neutral', then i guess i wouldn't be forced to change it prematurely like this?? It feels really unfair and like she wouldnt listen to my situation, because legally changing my name right now will cause me so many problems. I only need 6 months, then i'll be ready to. but i CANT wait 6 months for T. Should i try to put my foot down and argue my case more? I dont know what to do. Advice?
My understanding is that this policy is normally because they want some concrete evidence of commitment to social transition, and yes, I do know of people who had gender neutral names prior to transition, who were asked to provide evidence that they had changed them before being able to progress with physical elements of transition.
Without knowing your personal circumstances, it’s hard to give specific advice I’m afraid. For instance, are you living as male despite not having formally changed your name? If so, and you can produce some kind of evidence of this, such as a letter from a member of staff at university stating that they know you as male, and with a certain name, then this might help. Indeed, if you’re generally able to produce evidence that you’ve committed to social transition even if it’s not as explicit as the example I’ve suggested, it could help (though I can’t guarantee this).
Another option, which could be used in addition to the above, would be to ask for an explanation as to why the reasoning you’ve given her isn’t sufficient to allow her to ‘bend the rules’. I’m not sure if this is something she has already been through, and I’m not sure how fully and explicitly you’ve explained yourself to her, but I can think of a few reasons why she might not think the reasons (as you’ve given them above) are sufficient. If you haven’t already, it might help your argument if you are able to explain why changing your name sooner rather than later isn’t feasible despite the points below.
1) You can get a formal change of name document for free (not counting the cost of paper and printing, which should be minimal if you have access to a printer through e.g. your university library).
2) Though technically you’re supposed to renounce your previous name on all documents ASAP, in practice it’s normally fine to wait until you can afford/are practically in a position to change your name with various organisations (especially with things like your passport, where you have to pay to update your details). For instance, I changed my name formally 6 years ago, during my second year of university, and am still yet to update my passport. So you could formally change your name and update e.g. your student and medical records (which are usually quite straightforward), but leave everything else until the summer.
3) I know people who have changed their name but not updated their passport (or other documents they use as ID) because they are concerned about not being read as the gender on the updated document. This is usually fine: as long as you aren’t doing this for fraudulent reasons, it’s not legally an issue. The main thing is that photo ID should be recognisable as you. I’ve also not come across anyone who has delayed updating documents and had the organisation question them about the time difference between the date on the deed poll and the date they actually get around to changing their details.
4) There’s no limit to how many times you can change your name - as long as you keep a copy of all interim documents between your original name and your latest deed poll, you could (for instance) change just your first name to start with, and add a middle name at a later date. You could also change your first name later if you wanted to. Of course, doing this would usually mean having to update your details with at least some organisations more than once, especially if you changed your first name more than once (in my experience being inconsistent about informing companies about having a middle name hasn’t been an issue, though admittedly some organisations are stricter about the name they hold for you exactly matching the name on your name change documents).
Sorry this is rather long, but I hope it’s reasonably helpful. I think the main point I would emphasise from the above is that the reasoning for the rule about name change should be made clear to you (and that it’s usually to do with showing you’re committed to social transition, or have already started socially transitioning). If you haven’t started socially transitioning yet, then a lot of the above won’t be relevant right now as that will be the biggest issue, but if you have, then if you can provide any evidence of this it might help. It might also reassure you that name change doesn’t have to be as scary, expensive, or labour-intensive process as it might seem. This page has more information on it, including a list of places you might need to change your name (I certainly found that working out who I needed to inform was one of the most difficult parts of the whole thing, so a list would have been helpful to me!)
Of course, if you’re really not ready to change your name for whatever reason, then Dr Lenihan should accept this, but unfortunately evidence that you’re committed to transition does usually form part of the assessment process and you might need to talk to her about whether there are alternative ways you can demonstrate this.
Any followers who are able to help anon? - especially if you can give specific advice on experience with Dr Lenihan and name change policies.

Nazi post.
Nomie just gave me a platform and I’m going to take it.
I have been watching on social media where a whole bunch of people are now saying they are so scared and terrified. Or the posts of I can’t believe the whatever things said in the vice video.
Why? Folks let this happen. Black people have been saying for years that the KKK is still around but nope, we got the “oh well they are just giving their opinion”. Free speech. Then black panthers which was started to insure people could safely make it to a polling place to vote and to protect poor people was deemed a terrorist group. The KKK that actually has killed people has been given right to free speech. The fuck??
Black people said hey… Stop killing us. We got the response “but black on black crime”. Black people responded that more white people are arrested more black people but black people get the longer jail sentences or killed for minor crime. Response “ well if you just followed the law”. We point out systemic racism. And we get “ oh but not all white people are racist”. We say we aren’t saying that. We are saying that the system is purposely stacked against the poor and minorities.
Now people want to condemn racism????
When a guy walked into a church and killed nine people and the police took him to burger king. Yet a black therapist(social worker) is shot trying to protect his autistic patient And the officer wasn’t charged.
I’m told everyday by conservatives that I should free Isis, yet statistics tell us here in america that we are more likely to be shot and killed by a middle aged white man in a movie theater or work place. Or by a white teen in a school. Statistics also show us that more middle aged white men have committed acts of terror against just about everyone in this country even themselves.
I’m not scared of the Nazis or the KKK, hell or even isis. Heck my brother had a gun shoved in his face by the father of of a guy he dated because it was bad enough that his son was gay, but to add that he was dating a black gay guy??? Daddy dearest damn near flipped his lid.
So yeah. I’m not scared of them. Most of them are crowards as shown by the ones run off in Boston and in Durham. They talk all big and bad but then get on YouTube crying like a whiney baby because he scared folks will target him as a racist. The hell? Did he forget what all he said?
I’m However scared of action movies in my suburban neighborhood.
And god dont even get me started on this asshats when it comes to women.
