i think he would be super awkward and trying to hide his feelings behind a mundane purpose with some super practical reasoning. possible scenario:
astarion has awaited this moment and prepared everything painstakingly
Tav: *is doing taxes*

Astarion *gets out a piece of paper* I have made this thoroughly calculated chart of the estimated amount of taxes after our marriage as well as the hypothetical savings we would make if we marry compared to the current taxes situation of our household; as you can see I also added the percentage values and -
Tav: o.o *snatches the paper from astarion's hands and looks at it*
It contains a mess of nearly incomprehensible charts, tables and chaotic notes that look a bit like they where written with a shaky hand.
While Tav is busy with staring at Astarion's weird notes in disbelief and utter confusion, Astarion uses this calculated moment and quickly gets out an engagement ring for Tav to see when they take their eyes off the paper.
Astarion: *holds the ring infront of tav* What do you think, my sweet?? Do you want to marry me and spare us a lot of gold?? (High pitched staccato laugh) 😅😅😅 You can thank me later.😅

I'm just saying, the reason the sad gay tumblr fangirls love this show (and the whiny white fanboys hate it) is because they did NOT have to go so hard on the queer subtext and the "it's not about war, it's about love and loss and grief" and the way love and hate are still so fucking tangled up in each other and the way Obi-Wan and Anakin/Vader can't even HELP being each other's dark mirrors and narrative foils no matter what and still can't bring themselves to actually really destroy each other, even though the pain the other causes them by existing is maddening to the point of obsession, AND YET THEY DID
As I've said before, I read Obi-Wan and Anakin as more queerplatonic than outright romantic, but I'm also open to interpretations pretty much any way you care to cut it. Because they really just said "we're gonna make a show about Obi-Wan grieving the loss of his male life partner and trying to deal with that love and grief and utter destruction of his life's work, and he's gonna have to remember how to be a Jedi and be a parent to a precocious small girl while walking around being sad and old and non-toxically masculine, and rip your heart out every 5 minutes or so, and you're gonna love it"

I saw some posts just outlining Jan 21st, and wanted to clarify that Bisan has called for a full seven days of action.
What a global strike would look like is:
calling in sick to work
purchasing bare essentials ahead of the week so you can observe the general boycott of goods / buying as little as you genuinely can
putting in a concerted effort to elevate Palestinian voices and make it clear that this strike is in support of a permanent ceasefire!
For those who will have to purchase necessary goods during this time, please observe the brands that the BDS movement is asking us to boycott!
