Tarn geting on his infrequently used personal account on The Great Conversation and lurking in Relationship Advice before coming to the conclusion he actually needs to post because there's no previous question that addresses his problem.

Megatron gets a high priority notification that DamasceneSteel is posting. Tarn is using his old personal username! Megatron keeps tabs on his most volitle high comand member's activity infrequent as it is. "Help! I accidentally seduced a jet," is the last thing Megatron expected from the DJD leader so he lurks on his personal acccount(identity known only to Soundwave) and watches the trainwreck unfold in real time.

Tarn's geting notifications of Lucky slagger! Or, Share your Wisdom I beg you! Not to mention, Hoax! Everybody knows jets dont frag grounders ever!

Then User ShootyShoot McBangBang weighs in to dispense his wisdom. No hoax mech. I once when I was a newbuild, I slaged off my CO so bad i got temporary assigned to a grounder unit and let me say you losers on the ground are fragging weird about fragging. All weird and soft and slag when you flirt. I though my temp CO was flirting with me but when I kissed him he punched me for being a weirdo. The loser had no clue even when I explained how to him exactly how he was coming on to me!"

Tarn meanwhile is cross-referencing the database. Misfire might be an incompetent Deceptacon but he's a seeker and he's actually giving an explanation that's sheding light on of what the frag just happened with Pharma.

What would Jet courting look like to the uninitiated? Tarn typed tentitavely and waited for a response.

Hmmmm. It's really hard to describe the subtitles between flirt-threat and threat-threat to grounders but basicaly if it looks like a seeker's trying to kill you and you're still alive or they could kill you at any moment and they chose not to it's pretty likely they're trying to spike you.

ShootyShoot McBangBang blythly typed away unaware who he had warned off. You know Knockout the medic and interogator from Velocitron? Pulled a slagging Wrecker over to our side early in the war with his impeccable valve Dom game? Break-something or other? The two of them single-handedly launched the Converted to the Cause porn genre. Its rumored some of the hottest smut in the genra were written by one of the elite trine.

It's been so long I forgot about that recruitment campaign. KaoniteMiner2793 added. It got unpopular when mechs realized they had to kill their lovers if they didn’t join the Cause and didn’t have live capture bounties.

Tarn considered his response. Misfire didn't. Live capture bounties! we had those! When?! 🤯

We still do. Tarn educated absenly before he logged off. Mostly medics and a few others who if they can be made to serve The Cause are more useful alive than dead. Thank you for your help clarifying the situation.

Tarn leaned back in his chair to best consider how to use the situation.

Megatron blinked at his screen stuned. Starscream's ridiculous stunts were courting attempts?!?! It was ridiculous! Preposterous! It made... entirely too much sense actualy. Had he accidentally been engaging in an amorous game of one-upmanship with his subordinate??? What in the Pit?!

Misfire sipped someone else's energy drink and scrolled to a new thread.

In my head I like to think of Moonracer and Knock Out as siblings.

With Moonracer just being so constantly done with Knock Outs shit and having to explain to people that no, really, hes actually a pretty okay guy you just have to get used to his 'idiosyncracies' (this being said after Knock Out has just attacked a guy for buffing his paint job). Tho she legitimately respects his skills as a doctor she wishes he could learn to be a little less aware of the fact.

And Knock Out sometimes deliberately causing issues just to aggravate Moonracer while other times starting shit with people who disrespect his sister because shes too nice to 'bite back'. He wishes his sister would worry less about other people and worry more about herself (and him). Hypes his sister up, but only when shes outside of hearing range.

…I’ve been spelling Knockout’s name without a space this whole time.

I just discovered that it’s officially spelled “Knock Out.” (IDW, Prime, and all released figures)

I’d never noticed.

To be fair, fans tend to spell his name both ways even though I’m seeing that “Knock Out” is more common. I’m mostly just laughing at myself for not noticing it sooner.

I’m honestly mindless on a lot of Transformers “lore”, but it doesn’t mean I can’t make a headcanon I enjoy.

HC: Knockout performed cosmetic surgery on himself to gain the appearance we know today, whether it’s the Prime or IDW continuity. It’d make sense, as he’s a little narcissist and coincidentally knows how to perform such surgeries. I imagine him using the phrase “beauty is pain” countless times mid-surgery, as he can’t simply go into stasis-lock. That being, I wanted to draw what he might’ve looked like when considering this; more robust and scuffed without those little ears. I’d think he added them to be unique, as there is no other bot I’ve seen that has those cute lil’ elf ears. The picture may be one of many Breakdown has kept, refusing to let go of even the older ones because they held a special place in his spark, writing small notes in blue pen on all of them. Knockout likely didn’t perform on himself until the war started to die down and Vehicons started being cloned to supply the army, not caring as much about his appearance then, serving as a field medic, because he got scuffed constantly and didn’t have time to spend worrying about personal things. He could only worry about serving.

Also, Breakdown loving Knockout, no matter what he looked like, sounds adorable. Him being supportive even when he decides to alter his appearance because, from what I’ve seen about his character, he can be very understanding and doesn’t really hold grudges or anything.

On another side note, I want to say the photo was taken during supplies deliveries because I can.

Note

Starscream and Bumblebee's sparkling is an outlier with similar abilities to Earth depictions of ghosts (think Danny Phantom lol). She has interesting physiology. The sparkling, who Starscream named Spectra (like spector, as in ghost), has the ability to disappear into thin air, to levitate, to phase through walls and objects, and to see other spirits. She's orange and purple, with deep red eyes, and her voice was a certain spooky echo to it.

Starscream thought Spectra was just a normal sparkling when she was born, and for the most part, she is normal. She just happens to be half ghost. Her abilities manifest early in her childhood. The first time she shows her powers, she phases through her crib, and falls through the floor. Starscream is scared.

The other members of Starscream's trine come to visit Spectra and Screamer. Thundercracker gets her a poodle beanie boo. Skywarp sees her poof out of thin air, and is impressed.

Knockout, ever the gossip, tries to figure who the sire is. He doesn't believe that Spectra is a miraculous blessing at all. He thinks it's Rodimus or Skywarp. Windblade tells him that its rude to speculate on such personal matters, and to respect Starscream's privacy.

Bumblebee appears to her late in the night. He sings lullabies to her late at night, and watches over her to let Starscream sleep.

I mean Knockout is both right and wrong? He's right that it isn't Primus, but he's also wrong in his suspects (plus it's juuuuuust a bit miraculous. Just a bit.)
