LIBRA: solves everyoneโs problems but their own, is actually really sad and lonely, gets easily heartbroken but tries not to show it, will do anything to justify bad decisions , honestly just wants everyone to love them but doesnโt really love themselves.
SCORPIO: easily set off, will give anyone the cold shoulder at any given time even without reason, keeps a lot in, so observant that they oftentimes find out things that hurt them, too many โwhat ifsโ swirling in their heads, has trouble showing their true self.
SAGITTARIUS: impatient, brash, commitment issues, body issues, doesnโt realize they donโt need to change for anyone, has a lot of different goals to a point where they get overwhelmed, just wants to disappear and do what they want without anyone questioning them.
CAPRICORN: scared people wonโt like them unless theyโre at the top of their game 24/7, takes a lot for them to talk about their feelings, secretly struggling, fake happy, needs a plan but doesnโt know what that plan is, confident but insecure at the same time, wants to be stable but sometimes wishes they could drop everyoneโs expectations of them and live normally.
AQUARIUS: gets heartbroken like 30 times a week, trust issues, can be unmotivated and disinterested, feels they have to adapt to every person they meet so they can be liked, doesnโt know how to tap into their emotions despite being very intuitive, confused, expects little.
PISCES: empathetic often to a point of no return, plays the victim, doesnโt know when to say no, cynical, hermit, is very impatient, trusts everyone too much, can be secretly very critical and judgmental, can only tolerate maybe ten minutes of social interaction, needs a lot of validation.

IMPORTANT CANON DIVERGENT POINTS: many of my divergency points are made due to the sore lack of context in the movies, messy writing, and a bit of downright terrible writing. most of these are probably already featured in my carrd. but this post will be directly accessible via my pinned post because the divergencies are important.
the og trio ALL survive, ben too. kylo injures han (the severity is up to rpers). leia does not die, neither does luke. why? well, I don't agree with the narrative of wiping out the old for the new. nor having kylo kill off han because harrison wanted out. given how close han and ben's relationship once was, this simply doesn't fit for me. and I also don't think there can be any true healing after the war for ben without his family there. this family is the HEART of the entire franchise. killing them all off was a bad move...as much as I enjoy a tragic narrative.
Luke did NOT try to kill Ben. Ben finding out his relationship with Vader triggered his fall to the dark side, and he accidentally summoned a force storm during his rage (fanned by snoke too) that razed the entire temple, its students, and luke too, under bens impression. believing he'd murdered his uncle, ben ran. and wasn't seen again for some years. Though this divergence is negotiable if Luke rpers would prefer to write the actual canon!
Kylo does NOT kill Snoke. Snoke is the big bad here for me, not sOmeHoW pAlPaTiNe rEtUrNeD. Therefore, Kylo does not become supreme leader. He is so brainwashed by Snoke, that even though he suspects one day Snoke will eliminate him, he is still loyal. Snoke is ALL he knows.
I do not write the dyad as a romantic bond, at least not with rey and ben. their relationship is utterly atrocious, and kylo does exactly to rey what snoke is doing to him. it's manipulative and abusive and is not a good foundation for any relationship. i think they can achieve something akin to siblingship one day. but that's years away after tros.
ben's identity as kylo is only known to VERY FEW, including snoke, some highers up in the first order, and a few in the resistance. it's probably less than 10 people altogether. he NEVER removes his helmet in public for various reasons not related to this post. so if you're unsure whether your muse is or might be one of those 10 or so people, please feel free to ask.
it's honestly not as obvious in the movies as it should be imo, and is not a canon divergence. but it feels like it needs to be said often cus people still want to dismiss this fact in 2023. ben solo is a victim of decades of abuse and manipulation. no, it doesn't excuse his actions, but it gives context and explanation to them. i will never not make this point enough.
annnnd here comes the maybe controversial one. might depend on how well i explain it. han and leia are/were not purposely neglectful parents, nor perfect people...please, keep reading after that sentence. take a step back and think about it in terms of real adult life, okay. both of them are important people. leia is a senator. it would literally be impossible for her to be around all the time for ben. you simply cannot be a person that powerful and have a well balanced family dynamic. han, on the other hand, we know canonically was ben's primary caregiver for 6 years, which is a hot win, imo. stay at home dad, excellent. but he, too, eventually goes back to training pilots at the academy because it's what he's good at, and he deserves to continue it. i am in NO WAY saying that han and leia are bad people or parents. far from it. I've no doubt they tried endlessly, and they still are, even with ben falling to the dark side. they're just doing normal things that adults do. just because you have a child does not mean you stop being a person. BUT their busy adult lives paved the way for Snoke to move in and do what he wanted with Ben, which was to slowly turn him against them and make him believe he was unwanted and unloved by them. and that's not han and leia's fault, they didn't know what was going on. Ben was a child, and Snoke was an abuser that easily slipped through the cracks because he couldn't be seen. i realise this also wasn't really a canon divergence, but it needs to be said some more.

Benlo has a pretty negative relationship with food. He doesn't have an eating disorder, which is possibly what ya'll are thinking by my opener. But it's important to know that Benlo doesn't realise he's been stuck in a tall mug of depresso espresso for YEARS. His mental health has been in such a steep decline for so long that it has become normalised to him. Basically, he thinks how he is is normal, at least for him, and Ben can't remember the last time he felt anything akin to joy and happiness.
And because of his mental state, food is not something he cares about or thinks about too much. The force keeps him well enough for the days he doesn't eat much or at all. If he weren't so imbued with the force, I believe he'd be pretty ill by now. And not to make light of the situation, but some days when he's particularly pissy, he might just be hangry.

When they were kids, the Solo family stayed on Yavin 4 for a while, and Poe took great delight in showing Ben around everywhere. But one day, little Poe got very cocky and wanted to show off a bit by proving he could climb a large tree in the jungle, and get higher than Ben could. Poe did climb very high given he was just a kid. But near the top he lost his footing and fell, and would have died if Ben wasn't there and used the force to save him. Still unskilled with the force, he could only really slow Poe down rather than fully control his body, so Poe still got bruised up pretty bad. That didn't stop Ben from calling him a dumbass everyday for the next few weeks.
Ben and Poe have a loving relationship that is passionate, but also intense at times. The past will likely always weigh on them to a degree and it can't be helped. They get through the rough times together. But during periods when they do separate for a while to go do their own things and take a break. Ben can't help but use the force every once in a while just to check in on Poe and make sure he's doing okay, but he never tells Poe about this through fear of looking too clingy. He also gets very lonely after a while without his other half--and probably ends up crawling back to his parents for company.
Idk about Poe. But Ben doesn't sleep well after the war. In the years before he and Poe become an item, he suffers from long bouts of insomnia, often brought on by nightmares or hallucinations. Those things don't stop when he and Poe become an item. In fact, Poe is exposed to moments that Ben is ashamed of where items get thrown around the bedroom in Ben's sleep via his force powers. It reminds Ben that he still can't always control his abilities and he sees it as a weakness. And usually after these bad nights, Ben ends up falling back to sleep either on Poe's titties or tum, which seems to help him sleep better too.
Poe is one of the few people who has ever heard Ben laugh. He is one of the few people who can make Ben laugh! Poe doesn't even have to say anything funny to get a smile or laugh out of Ben, and it's very noticeable to anyone who witnesses them. Ben Solo is grossly smitten, he's heart eyes, which is more than he ever expected from life. He gets teased for being a Poe stan and simply shrugs it off because it's true. Unless it's in Poe's presence....then he calls Poe a dumbass and tells people an embarrassing Poe moment. ๐

MODERN: Pluto was a college graduation gift from Ben's grandpa Anakin. But he wasn't any old simple gift, no, no. Pluto was the result of a bet Ben and Anakin made before Ben had even graduated highschool. The deal was that if Ben graduated from college as top of his class and with a perfect 4.0 gpa. Anakin would get him a dog. Ben, of course, saw this as a challenge and decided to meet it head on. Anakin later realised that in retrospect, the bet was a terrible idea because any of his descendants would seldom back down from a challenge.
Ben graduated top of his class with a perfect grade average, then asked his grandpa at graduation where his dog was. ๐คก
Pluto's full official name is Pluto Ozymandias Solo.

Ben used to have sleepovers when he was a kid with his little nerd friends. Matt wasn't allowed to attend because the older boys would tell spooky stories that Leia thought might frighten her younger son. But that didn't stop Matt, who would sneak into Ben's room in the middle of the night and demand to be told one of Ben's stories cus if Ben was doing it, Matt wanted to be included. Ben managed to shake his brother a few times, but eventually relented if only to get to sleep normally again lmao. Matt promised not to get scared. So, of course, he was terrified after hearing one of Ben's stories, and it was Ben that got into trouble for it hehehe.
Once Ben left home for college/university, communication between Matt and Ben became less frequent. Matt was very displeased about this and one day took it upon himself to go and visit Ben at MIT. Unfortunately , Matt didn't arrive until late and Ben happened to be at a party. So he didn't discover his younger brother until finding him asleep outside his dorm room in the morning. Ben let him stay the weekend after they called mum and dad.
They will fight for control over the remote even if it's not their own TV. There is often biting involved much to their parents embarrassment at having these two for grown ass men children. Han usually comes at them with a rolled up newspaper.
Ben was suspended from school twice for defending Matt from bullies. He wasn't particularly bothered about it. Honestly, Matt seemed more bothered than him. When questioned about the first incident he simply said he'd do it again if he had to since the school can't be fucked to do anything about it...and he did do it again. Needless to say that Han and Leia weren't unimpressed that Ben basically stuck it to the man at like 12.
In addition because this is important. At Ben's 8th birthday party, Leia made him a funfetti cake aka his favourite. But Matt accidentally knocked the cake out a window while it was cooling. Both siblings cried for a long time after having an argument. Ben holds a grudge about this way into adulthood.
In addition addition...once upon a time, two boys running around the house broke an antique vase. They hid upstairs where Ben decided they had to move to Mexico to escape their parents wrath. So a 6 year old and a 3 year old packed up their supplies, which wasn't much other than snacks and toys. They got a few houses down the street before stopping to bicker over which way it was to Mexico via one of their dads maps. Leia caught up to them and has never let them live down their great escape attempt.

Just thoughts about things Ben has to learn post tros because he didn't have a normal ascension to adulthood...
The main one, of course, is learning to live without Snoke. Maybe it sounds easy on paper, but it's not easy in practice. There will be moments where he looks to Snoke for guidance, and there will be no one there but his own thoughts and feelings. He will have to figure these issues out for himself or ask his parents. It's a weird transition.
Learning he can say no to people. Not in the sense that Ben is a pushover, far from it. But Snoke would tell him what to do, and he'd do it because he was conditioned to it, believing for most of the time that Snoke wouldn't do him dirty. What I'm saying is he'd need to learn the difference between helping someone and being used, and for him, that's likely not always easy to tell.
Navigating any sort of relationship, whether romantic or platonic, won't be easy for him. When the only relationship you have had for years is with a creepy pasta clone man who wanted you for your power and body. It's not exactly setting you up well to have positive relationships with anyone else. There's also the case of Ben feeling like he shouldn't have those things, that maybe he doesn't deserve them, and he should stick to his lonesome. But, of course, that's not good for him in the long run. he is still human, after all.

so because the general sane fandom consensus is that Luke would never have considered killing Ben, of which I 100% agree. It's very ooc considering that Luke couldn't even bring himself to kill Vader.
My canon takes liberties with the timeline in which Ben defects to the Dark Side after hearing about Vader being his grandfather whilst training at Luke's temple. The news causes Ben to have a mental breakdown which is further amplified in his mind by Snoke whispering to him about how they all lied to him. And let's not forget that Snoke has been projecting the idea to Ben that his family don't actually love him, and that only he can truly help him. The Vader info is just the last straw in a years long dissolving of the Skysologana family dynamic torn apart by strings of lies and manipulation.
So, with all that in mind. Ben just snaps, ya know? The mental stress is too much. He goes apeshit, sees red, literally... because he summons the force storm in his rage and sorrow, tearing apart the temple and killing everyone inside, and believing he killed his uncle in the process. BUT this is actually a whole ass accident. Ben didn't mean to call the storm. He didn't even know he could. And when he does he can't control it...so it's a tragic moment more than anything, and then Ben runs for 10 years.
I know canonically it is Snoke that summoned the storm...but that's boring. Tragic accidents are much more interesting narratively imo. And I like to think that event even surprises Snoke.
That being said if any Luke's actually WANT to properly plot and write this part of the story with Luke considering killing Ben in that brief moment. I'm down. Just for the angst. ๐คทโโ๏ธ but I'm not expecting that in the slightest. Plus, I think this route would permanently damage their relationship, and Ben would never completely trust his uncle again.

in modern, ben is literally the classic definition of nerd. he's extremely smart. he's into science. he wears glasses. he read comics as a kid. BUT he has that mixture of Organa-Solo big mouth, big headed and stubborn attitude that pretty much kept bullies away from him at school...and actually made him pretty popular, especially if he stuck up for other kids. he somehow managed the perfect balance of cool and nerd.

That's a good question...I've yet to discuss anything like this with a partner and Ben is an utter virgin in canon, so he ain't done anything with anyone yet. But I think he'd be pretty open to getting it on with a trusted partner in some pretty risky places. Right on outside under the sky, in a starship, an airborne car...
And speaking of cars. In modern, he had the gall to take one of Han's cars on a date as a show off tactic. It absolutely got him laid...in the back of the car. Unfortunately, Han caught them post-act, and Ben could not look his father in the eye for a month afterwards. Safe to say that the whole street knew what was going on with the argument that erupted in the moment lmao. Ben wasn't actually sorry tho.

Whenever Leia was home when Ben was smol. Ben would make her sit in the garden while he presented her with various bugs he'd found and named in her absence. Then he'd explain all their different characteristics to her as if he was a full on teacher. Leia has so much insect knowledge now thanks to her child... And yes, the bugs turn up in the house more often than not.
Ben was resentful at having to go to Luke's temple to train. He was at the age of full on ugly teenage hormones and rather hurtfully called Leia out on not having the ability to train him herself, and that she resented having a child of the force. While a lot of this was Snoke's influence, there was, unfortunately, some of Ben in there too. Years later Ben has found guilt in the things he said to Leia that day. Han got a mouthful too tho.
Leia is the only person that Ben was hesitant to strike down when he was part of the fo. This was actually a great source of pain because he could not fulfill his master's wishes to eliminate her, which caused him a heck ton of anxiety, and earned him a lot of punishment. But, in the end, Ben simply could never deny how much he loved his mother. They were bonded soul to soul as far as I'm concerned.
Smol Ben was very physically attached to Leia when she was at home. He'd climb her like a little monkey no matter what she was doing and sit all over her, often falling asleep on her chest after tiring himself out from the climb. He could rarely be pried off of her and Leia would end up with Ben attached to her for hours at a time.
